Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Die Lage war unschlagbar gut! Vielleicht 7 Minuten zu Fuss vom Bahnhof weg und sehr zentral. Und die Betten waren sehr bequem.
Das wars dann auch schon. In dem Hotel gab es kein Frühstück. Und in der Umgebung macht nichts vor 7 Uhr auf. Wir waren auf einem Kongress und somit zeitlich gebunden. Es gab zwar einen Wasserkocher und eine Delonghi und einen kleinen Kühlschrank, aber um den Rest mußte sich dann irgendwie selbst kümmern. Die Ausstattung war simpel. Im Bad gab es nur eine Schnur an der man ziehen mußte um das Licht anzuschalten, es gab keine Handtuchhaken und ein Föhn mußte an der Rezeption angefragt werden zum Leihen. In den Mülleimern war in beiden noch etwas drin vom Gast davor. Es gab keine Nachttischlampe. Nur eine Stehlampe, die man nicht vom Bett aus löschen konnte. Das TV Angebot war wie immer, man konnte sich je nach Vorliebe in diverse Anbieter einloggen und deutsches Fernsehen genießen. Die Treppenaufgänge sind abenteuerlich steil und es gibt keinen Lift, was aber in der Hotelbeschreibung steht und man sich darauf einstellen kann. Trotzdem ist das Hotel gerade für ältere Menschen vielleicht nicht die beste Wahl, da wirklich Absturzgefahr besteht. Die Terrasse oben war lieblos und eher verwahrlost. Zwar waren Bauarbeiter zugange, aber so ab und an könnte mal die Treppe von der Rezeption hoch zu dem hinteren Trakt des Hotels gesaugt werden.

Das Hotel war frisch verkauft worden und die Rezeption nicht besetzt und es gab kein Frühstück und es waren lauter Arbeiter im Hotel und es war heiß und der Ventilator war zu schwach und in meinem Bad hat das Licht nicht funktioniert. Es war niemand da der mir am letzten Tag eine Rechnung gegeben hat obwohl mir das am ersten Tag versprochen worden ist.

Freudlos eingerichtetes Zimmer, steile Treppe, kein Lift. Als ich morgens mein Zimmer kurz verlassen habe, wurde es sofort vom Personal geräumt, mein Gepäck konnte ich an der Rezeption abholen. Das alles lange vor Checkout. Ich mag es nicht, wenn andere in meinem Gepäck herumwühlen.

En la tercera planta ( no fue un problema ya que llevábamos mochilas, con maletas es posible que sea más incómodo) Personal muy amable, limpieza extrema. Ubicación excelente y vistas desde la habitación espectacular. Volveremos cuando esté reformado del todo ( en nuestro caso solo quedaban algunos detalles del baño, el resto todo reformado con gran gusto y calidad (camas excelentes) )

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Kamer inrichting lijkt nieuw (badkamer niet) met fijne bedden in een ruime kamer. Koelkastje, ventilator, thee en koffie faciliteiten en op een top locatie voor een goede prijs.
Het was tropisch heet buiten een dus ook op de kamer, wat de ventilator zonder airco niet veel bij hielp. Het gebouw is oud en wordt verbouwd, wat ook echt wel nodig is.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026The rooms and bathroom were spacious. We liked there was a mini fridge and a coffee and tea bar. There were options to hang up our clothes, and with the heat it was great to have a fan and a balcony door that could stay open. The location is perfect. Right in the middle of the centrum next to a square filled with restaurants and places to sit outside. Central station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. This was our 4th time in this hotel, and we plan to return next year.
Nothing really. For people that have problems walking up and down stairs, this place might not be the best.

Kein Frühstück, Betrag wurde bei Ankunft mit Gebühr verrechnet. Hotel im Umbau. Katastrophal der Zustand. Betten ok, alles andere eine Frechheit. Noch nicht einmal eine Erstattung da eine Baustelle im Hotel ist. Balkontür lies Sich nur schlecht öffnen. Badezimmer mit offener Wand unterhalb des Waschbecken , vorsichtshalber wurde Eimer unter den Abfluss gestellt. Fenster und gesamte Einrichtung unsauber. Rezeption ab 18:00 Uhr nicht besetzt auch Getränkeautomat unter Verschluss und nach 18:00 Uhr nicht erreichbar. Fur das ausfallende Frühstück wurde uns eine Liste in 3 Lokalen genannt. Frechheit das nicht vor Reiseantritt bekannt zu geben( sowohl die Baustelle wie auch das ausfallen des Frühstücks.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026De kamer en badkamer waren ruim. Hoewel het hotel aan een levendig plein ligt, was het binnen heerlijk rustig. Werkelijk alles wat je in een hotel wenst was aanwezig: sfeerverlichting bij het bed, USB-poorten, comfortabel beddengoed, koffie- en theefaciliteiten, een koelkast, een föhn en zelfs wegwerpbekers voor het spoelen. Daarnaast was het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, wat zorgde voor een prettig verblijf.
Er zat een gat in het raam dat leek op een inslag van een steen, inclusief barsten. Ik durfde het raam niet te openen uit angst dat het glas eruit zou vallen. Dit voelde erg onveilig. Toen ik aan de knop trok om te schakelen tussen de kraan en de douche, schoot deze vast en kon ik hem niet meer terugduwen. Hierdoor was de douche daarna onbruikbaar. De algehele faciliteiten waren erg verouderd, wat me een onveilig gevoel gaf.

The staircase to my room was almost impossible to use...only a third of my size 39 shoes fit and it was a herculean task to handle luggage on that terrible staircase. Twice I cut my ankle coming down. They also had repairs going on which made it impossible to use the room several hours during the daytime + the approach to my room and surroundings were littered with debris that was never cleaned. Mayflower should really not rent Room #17 to anyone. Terrible value for money

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026Uitstekende locatie, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Dankzij de sleutel was het makkelijk om na sluitingstijd weer binnen te komen als de receptie gesloten was. Kamer was netjes, schoon en had thee en koffie. Handdoeken werden dagelijks vervangen.
Het gebouw is wat ouder, waardoor de isolatie slecht was. Het was bijzonder ongelukkig heet op de dagen dat ik er was, dus de kamer was warm. ‘s Nachts konden de ramen open, maar dat zorgde ook voor extra geluid. Desondanks kon dit probleem enigszins verholpen worden met een portable airco.

Gedateerde badkamer. Douchestang kon alleeen maar in laagste stand. Douchen in badkuip is ook niet ideaal. Doorspoelknop toilet los. Bijna bij alle gordijnen waren haakjes los of weg. Ivm hoge temperatuur 37 graden was airco niet toereikend. Te laag koelde onder t bed door.

La luce del bagno della stanza non funzionava. Camera rumorosa. La struttura non è per niente tenuta bene. E la porta della camera non si chiudeva bene. Io non mi sono sentita sicura. La posizione sembrerebbe ottima, ma davanti all’hotel non c’era bella gente. Personalmente non mi sono trovata bene

Constant repairs in the lobby and on the roof Bricklayers on the flat roof open to the sky in the event of rain, which we had to cross to reach our first floor room. . Multiple snaking wires coming from the ceiling and cupboard in the lobby being accessed by electricians. Very old weak door lock which opened onto the flat roof. Easy to break into room Rusted 'balcony' door, unable to be opened.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026駅からゆっくり歩いて10分かからない距離にあり、アクセス良かったです。 飲食店も周りに多かったです。 夕方、朝など写真を撮りに散歩しましたが、運河が目の前なので素敵な景色が見れました。 駅からホテルに行く途中でも風車が見れます。 翌朝キュウケンホフ行くのに 朝一番のバスを予約していたので、チェックアウト後の荷物を朝少し早くから預かってもらえました。
特にありませんが、やはりエレベーターがないので少し大変でした。 事前にわかっていたので、荷物は最小限にしていました。

Het is was gedateerd, maar dat stoort niet echt. Personeel was niet echt enthousiast. Maar ook dat was prima. Lekker stappen en hier slapen: ideaal!

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Location very central and easy to find. Close to station, main square and shops. I had room at front of hotel with view of square and canal. The second room booked was at back of hotel - annexe- with balcony and windmill view. Clean comfortable. Large rooms. Quiet. No problems.
I booked 2 single rooms. Same price. It seemed odd that the rooms given were in completely different parts of the hotel. No breakfast option offered. But were found a great cafe on the other side of the square.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Lo que me gustó más fue la recepción, resulta que ni servían desayuno y la recepción muy amablemente me devolvió la cuota a pagar del desayuno. Eso y el trato excelente recibido.
No me gustó mucho que vinieran a la habitación a limpiar temprano por la mañana todos los días pero por lo demás genial 😁 me gustó mucho

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026Die Lage ist sehr zentral aber trotzdem ruhig. Betten gut.
Hotel befindet sich anscheinend in der Renovierung. Schrank im Zimmer war in einem sehr schlechtem Zustand. Nachttischlampe lässt sich nur durch ziehen des Netzsteckers ausschalten.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026The rooms are large and clean and although the decor is a little old fashioned but its hardly a problem considering its location is very central and quite near the station. Make sure your key fob to open the front door works and its battery is fully charged before you leave for an evening out.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026Ich habe vorher viele schlechte Bewertungen über das Hotel gelesen. Uns hat es aber sehr gut gefallen und wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Das Hotel ist seit einiger Zeit in neuen Händen und wird nach und nach renoviert. Das Personal war extrem nett und das Zimmer völlig in Ordnung. Es war sehr heiß, aber wir haben schnell eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage bekommen. Es gibt kein Frühstück mehr, aber eine Kaffeemaschine, die man kostenlos benutzen kann. Auf dem Platz vor dem Hotel gibt es tolle Frühstückscafés, in denen man wunderbar sitzen kann. Leiden ist eine sehr hübsche Stadt und wird zu Recht als Klein-Amsterdam bezeichnet. Man kann hier gut ein paar Tage verbringen und hat eine super Anbindung nach Amsterdam-Zentral - mehrmals in der Stunde und auch spätabends.
Die Treppen ins obere Stockwerk sind etwas anstrengend mit Koffern. Kriegt man aber auch hin. Vielleicht nicht das richtige für jemand, der nicht gut zu Fuß ist. Dann eher die unteren Zimmer buchen. Rund um das Hotel ist es am Wochenende nachts sehr laut. Dank Klimaanlage konnten wir aber das Fenster schließen und sehr gut schlafen.

Reviewed May 29, 2026Dieses gut gelegene Hotel war für drei Tage unser Stützpunkt in Leiden: toller Name, sehr netter Empfang. Dieses Haus wurde vor Kurzem von neuen Eigentümern übernommen. Diese haben versucht, dieses schon ältere Hotel etwas aufzumöbeln, viel wäre noch zu tun und man sieht auch, dass weiterrenoviert wird. Für unseren Kurzaufenthalt war dieses preiswerte Haus aber ok.

Reviewed May 29, 20263泊食事付きで488ユーロだったのに、食事無しで495ユーロ請求された。オーナーが変わったとかで、前の料金と変わったらしいが、こちらには何の連絡も無し。チェックイン時、エレベーターもなく狭くて急な階段を年よりの私達二人であげるのはとても大変だった。大抵はフロントの誰かが手伝ってくれるが、ここはヘルプ！といってもヘラヘラ笑うだけで無視。次の日、食事無しが分かり、新オーナーを呼び出して聞いたら、前システムの予約と変わっていて申し訳ないから、三日間近くで食事してくれと近くのホテルで朝食。食後宿で食事代を払うというのでフロントに行くと、新料金は食事無しで495だから食事代は払わないといい出したから、変更するならちゃんと連絡しろ！私達は、予約時の食事込み488ユーロで予約してる！というとしぶしぶ食事代を返金。しかし、さっきのホテルの食事代は１７ユーロ。このホテルは、１3ユーロで、また私達が損。帰る日は、7時半に、荷物を3階の部屋から、下に降ろすのを助けると言ったが、もちろんこないから、必死に降ろした。あちこち汚いし壊れてるし、このホテルは絶対に泊まったらダメ。

The location of our room - the outside was a little off-putting and the bathroom although functional had some obvious repairs. We were only there for a night though so completely adequate for our needs.

цена могла быть дешевле :)
