NICHTS! Winziges Bad. Enge Dusche. Keine Ablagen, keine Haken. Zimmertür kann man nicht mal ganz öffnen, weil das Bett im Weg steht. Der Rest vom Raum ist ein dünner Schlauch mit einem halb verdecktem Fenster am Ende. Die Aussicht ist nur an die 2m entfernte Hauswand gemalt! Der Preis der dafür aufgerufen wird ist durch nichts gerechtfertigt

Enjoy my stay at City Hotel Rembrandt. It was very convenient to restaurants, park and museum. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Ligging van het hotel t.o.v. het centrum. 3 minuten lopen vanaf overdekte parkeergarage. Was vooraf voor 3 dagen gereserveerd en betaald zodoende konden we in en uitrijden wanneer we maar wilden. Kenteken herkenning.

Het viel zeker niet tegen en was niet echt storend.Tegenover het hotel ligt een café waardoor iets rumoer op de kamer te horen is.

The property was central and close walking distance to the train station and attractions. We arrived at 10.00am on a rainy morning to drop our luggage off and were delighted to be given early check in immediately. The receptionist, Jilly was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. We had a lovely stay at the Rembrandt.

The only drawback was the shower. We had to squeegee water on the floor back into the shower recess each time we had a shower.

Well designed, beautiful, and comfortable rooms. Very quiet with the exception of loud doors near suite. It felt very safe, and was a good value.

Felt understaffed at times, but staff very nice and helpful.

Het ligt vlak bij het station én vlakbij het centrum. Het hotel is erg sfeervol. De kamer was mooi, een goede douche en een fijn bed.

Onze kamer was aan de zonkant. Daardoor was het nogal warm, maar er is geen koeling. Het raam kan gelukkig open. Op zaterdagavond en -nacht geeft dat wel lawaai. Voor ons geen probleem, maar als je stilte wilt, kun je dus niet koelen.

Location and the room was clean.

Room was very small and there was a lack of shelves or hooks for hanging which would have made the space easier to manage.

The location of the hotel was right in the heart of Leiden - a great base to explore from. The manager was amazing - from arrival; to serving breakfast; and helping on checkout The room and general areas were all very well maintained; clean; and up together - everything was there, that you would need.

Nothing really - all good. A very well kept hotel. And amazing manager.

Wc was wat aan de krappe kant. Dat had wel iets ruimer gemogen, of anders ingedeeld.

Overall stay was very good, short walk from station (use the Windmill Museum as a routing point). A quiet street with traditional buildings, meaning a steep twisting staircase (but also a lift). Rooms are well designed, modern, with good spaces and facilities including AC. The hotel as limited opening times for the front desk, but a good digital system that allows check in at most other times. Very helpful staff allowed us to store baggage on departure day and provide access for the retrieval later.

Het fijne bed met schone matras. Ook de kleinschaligheid en de wijze waarop met liefde alles is ingericht. Ontbijt is prima, netjes en compleet.

Eventueel het feit dat er aan de overzijde tot twaalf uur ‘s nachts lawaai is van het café. Maar het hotel bevindt zich dan ook midden in het centrum dus dat kan je verwachten.

Very central location, within walking distance of the train station and all the main sights. The rooms are very clean, cozy, and comfortable. A great place to stay for exploring the city. Breakfast was perfectly sufficient, although don't expect anything particularly special or extensive.

The single room was a bit too small, but still perfectly adequate for a short stay. If you arrive after 2 p.m., keep in mind that the hotel uses a self-check-in system, so there may be nobody available to assist you in person. Make sure your phone has enough battery and that you have internet access, as you need the app to enter the building and access your room. In my case, everything worked perfectly. The instructions were provided in advance and were clear and precise, and the door-opening app worked without any problems. The Wi-Fi password was also provided in advance, although the internet connection was not working properly on the first day.

Nice boutique hotel with air conditioning and very attentive service. Perfect location. Walking to sightsee was easy. Very nice breakfast.

Room was a bit small for 2 adults for 6 days. No closet but creative use of space.

The hotel has a very convenient location, within walking distance of the train station and the city center.

We booked a single room for two people, but it didn’t seem suitable at all. The space was too cramped, and the room layout felt unusual. Although the hotel website displayed room photos, the actual room looked completely different. Considering the price (about 1,000 Euros for 6 nights), we could not have imagined such a room. We filed a complaint at the front desk and asked to move to another hotel with only a partial penalty, but that request was denied. Eventually, the staff arranged a better room for just two nights, and we had to stay in the uncomfortable room for the remaining four nights.

Ik vond de airco/ventilator van de douche wel luid en kreeg t niet uit gezet. Voordeel is wel dat je de vele helikopters van het ziekenhuis minder hoort 😅

El estudio está decorado con mucho gusto y muy bien equipado. Es espacioso y agradable para estar y tiene una cama de alta calidad. El personal muy atento y amable. La ubicación es excepcional, en el centro de Leiden.

My room was lovely with a comfortable bed. Its not far to walk from the train station and perfect if you are visiting the University. They also provide a good basic breakfast. Location is excellent!

Top lokatie en super aardige en behulpzame gastvrouw. We waren wat vergeten op de kamer na uitchecken, dit hebben ze zelfs nog nagestuurd!

Comfortable, convenient…

We kregen een gratis upgrade naar een van de recent gerenoveerde studios. Prachtige, ruime en schone kamers! Op loopafstand van parkeergarage en van de winkelstraten. Perfecte locatie. Echt een aanrader!

Room was tiny.

Ontbijt was goed en bed lag heerlijk. De Stella Maris producten waren ook fijn

Lawaai vanaf de straatkant, veel uitgaand publiek wat overlast veroorzaakte. Verder was er een rioollucht in de badkamer.

Prima kamer met lekkere bedden en vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt was meer dan prima!

Onze kamer grensde aan het trappenhuis van het hotel en daardoor een paar keer water geworden van andere gasten die in de nacht terug kwamen de stad.

De lokatie, lekker bed.

De locatie is zonder meer voortreffelijk. De kamer was zeer schoon, verzorgd en efficiënt ingericht. Qua oppervlakte is de kamer echter enigszins aan de compacte kant, zeker wanneer men de prijs in verhouding tot het beschikbare vloeroppervlak beschouwt. De badkamer daarentegen is smaakvol ingericht, praktisch en functioneel, en bovendien uitstekend schoongehouden.

Bij aankomst kostte het mij enige moeite om mij te oriënteren en duidelijk te krijgen welke deur ik precies moest nemen om bij mijn kamer te komen. Een duidelijke plattegrond of eenvoudige bewegwijzering zou dit aanzienlijk hebben vereenvoudigd. Daarnaast ontbrak er een bureau of ander geschikt werkoppervlak. Dat is enigszins onpraktisch wanneer men bijvoorbeeld met de laptop wil werken, iets moet uitzoeken of met pen en papier aantekeningen wil maken. Afgezien daarvan was alles uitstekend en heb ik mijn verblijf als zeer prettig ervaren.

Goede locatie tussen het treinstation en de oude binnenstad. Prima bed, douche en airco. Het was ruim 30 gr tijdens ons verblijf en de kamer lag op de zonzijde. Maar de airco werkte heel goed, zonder al te lawaaiig te zijn. Heel vriendelijke medewerkers. We konden onze bagage na het uitchecken nog enkele uren in het hotel laten staan.

Als je gewend bent een klein ontbijt te eten, is een ontbijt van 17,50 Euro p.p. geen aantrekkelijke optie.

L'hotel è in una posizione strategica tra la stazione centrale di Leiden e il centro della città, con diverse fermate dei mezzi pubblici a pochi minuti di tragitto a piedi. Le camere sono pulite, confortevoli e ben illuminate.

Il self check-in già dalle 14 è una piccola pecca, anche se la struttura comunica tramite email i contatti a cui rivolgersi in caso di problemi.

Wij zaten in een prachtige nieuwe studio, met alles erop en eraan. De hele stijl van het hotel sprak ons erg aan. Het ontbijt was zeer goed verzorgd en de locatie is top: naast P Lammermarkt en je loopt zo de Beestenmarkt op en dus het centrum in.

De bedden waren goed

Wij hebben het ontbijt genomen met 4 pers. 4 x 17,50€ = 70€ om dan te constateren dat er helemaal geen groenten assortiment is (zoals beloofd)maar enkel komkommer en tomaat. EN we moesten water van de kraan nemen toen ik vroeg om water. Mijn broer is diabeet en heeft bijna niets kunnen ontbijten. Door te weinig variatie , het is niet voldoende om enkel genoeg brood te voorzien . Zelfs geen smeerkaas, geen magere melk of yoghurt?! Het ontbijt is te duur voor wat er aanwezig is !! Dit is echt schandalig. Wij logeren dikwijls op hotel en voor die prijs moet je normaal een mooi uitgebreid ontbijt kunnen serveren. Je kan beter aanraden om in de buurt te gaan ontbijten want er waren super veel leuke en lekkere ontbijt gelegenheden!

Great location between Leiden Centraal and The Historic Center of Leiden. The staff went above and beyond and had my room ready at 9 am ( huge plus because I landed at 7:30 am and was very jet lagged).Cozy room and comfy bed.

Hyggelig lite hotell rett ved Beestenmarkt sentralt i Leiden. Vi ble tatt veldig godt i mot og fikk god informasjon om Leiden. Kort vei til kanalturer og mange hyggelige restauranter. Vi kom med bil og parkerte på et flott nytt parkeringshus, Lammermarkt, 100 meter fra hotellet. God frokost.

The location was excellent. There was a lot of choice with the breakfast and a nice setting to chat with friends over breakfast.

It was quite warm the week I was there and the air conditioning had a hard time keeping up. As a result the room was quite warm.

Het was wat stoffig.

Splendid location, pleasant and helpful staff (when you could find them), funky decor, but acceptable; everything worked! "Continental breakfast" was okay on the day we took it but the "honesty bar" could be better stocked. The City Rembrandt is more like a well-run guest house than a hotel.

Our room was large enough but overpriced and the balcony was oversold - useless, not only because of the tropical heat during our stay (not the management's fault of course), but because it overlooked an uninspiring view of backs of houses, metal chimney flues, and what appeared to be a building site extension. One of our friends was staying in an adjacent single room for half the price, but even that was excessive for what was almost literally a shoebox, and she had to use our safe for her valuables as hers was too small for a computer and iPad.

Es hat an Steckdosen zum Laden von Handys gemangelt und wir konnten unsere Handtücher nirgends aufhängen.

De ligging van het hotel. Heel centraal en op loopafstand van een grote parkeergarage. Mooie kamers en fijne matrassen.

Onze airco werkte niet. Het was 28,5 graden toen we arriveerden. Gedurende de nacht en in de ochtend was het nog steeds 27 graden. We hebben dat gemeld bij de receptie en per mail. Men gaf aan dat het een warme kamer was, met veel glas waar de zon op staat. Er zou een bedrijf zijn benaderd om het probleem te verhelpen. We kregen een kleine financiële compensatie. We betaalden wel EUR 270,00 ex ontbijt voor een nacht. Dat is fors voor een kamer zonder werkende airconditioning.

Was great that they upgraded me to what would have normally been a nicer room then decided to revert to my original room because they realised in the extreme heat in Europe this week the temperature would be more comfortable at the back of the hotel. Shows they were really thinking about the customer experience - so they score a lot of points with me for this. Clear instructions for late check in. Friendly farewell in the morning. My room was small but I went for a small room intentionally as its all I needed for one night. Bed was comfortable and everything worked well. Well located. Was quiet despite central location.

Prices seemed high in Leiden when I booked a few months ago. They later fell - I don’t really know what was going on, it seemed to be all hotels. Maybe some big event in Leiden was cancelled. I decided not to cancel and rebook but felt the price was rather high for what I received, but not sufficiently to bother messing about rebooking! But overall no complaints, good option.
