Les tentes sont un peu à l écart au calme ! Quant aux visites guidees sur la plage (soiree et tôt le matin), ne les louper pas c est un sacré souvenir ! J ai vu différents com à ce sujet pour ma part je suis ravie surtout la visite du matin peu nombreux plus au calme et surtout à la lumiere du jour pour voir les tortues.. il y avait enormement de baby et de grosses tortues encore sur la plage. La nuit on les voit à la lumiere rouge pour ne pas trop les éblouir et il y a suffisamment de place et de tortues pour faire des petits groupes .

The turtle watching experience was good.

The property is not at all maintained. The shower in the bathroom does not work, the electric kettle does not work. You cannot get water bottles or food at all after 9 PM. There is a single caretaker at the reception which can only help you fill tap water. The dinner and breakfast was subpar. I have stayed twice at the hotel and the earlier stay 10 years back was very good. Now it has gone very bad with nothing well maintained. It is much better to stay at some other hotel or airbnb and come just for the turtle watching experience

Great location

Very poor facilities. Shoddy bathroom. Broken shower. Creaky beds. No safety barriers for the upper bunk bed. Poorly placed air conditioner and TV. Mold on the walls and ceiling. Would not recommend a stay here for anyone.

We stayed in the luxury tent and I thought that they had done a pretty good job with it. It had a proper toilet and shower which was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was air conditioned and security wise is was pretty secure. The reason we stayed here was to see the turtles and the reserve runs two sessions daily. One at around 8.30pm and another at 5.30am. The 8.30pm sessions was far the best one and so informative. The guide was super fantastic and showed us the turtles in the different stages of laying eggs and explained everything in detail. The morning session was less informative where the guide stood around and hardly spoke but you could still see turtles.

The living area could have been cleaner and some of the internal and external lights didnt work. I wasnt happy about the expose cabling (Even though behind a bed stand). Food a little bit hit and miss. Note that it can get very windy out where the tent is so if you are not used to these element consider a room inside the main complex.

I stayed in a luxury family tent, with my wife and two grown-up kids. It was awesome.

On the doorstep of the turtle reserve. A quick hop down on a bus provided by the reserve and the freedom to walk back when you are finished. The room is clean provides a good shower/bathroom, fridge and kettle with enough drink provisions and the dining facility provides plenty of good food. Breakfast offers everything to keep you going all day. Staying at the hotel includes your access to the beach and turtles both evening and morning.

The beds/mattresses are firm but still comfortable to support a good night’s sleep

This is a truly unique place to stay for one night and experience the turtles in the most authentic way. I was honestly surprised by the value for money: for around USD 300 for three people, we had accommodation, two turtle tours, two meals, museum access, and access to a private turtle beach. The guides were very caring and did their best to make sure everyone could see the important moments and take beautiful photos to remember the experience.

At night in August it was very windy, so the tent was quite noisy. However, for us this was part of the authentic experience rather than a real issue.

We stayed in a luxury tent. But the telephone was not working on the first day. And there were a lot of fabric issues on the tent. Clearly it is lack of proper maintenance. The breakfast was poorer than expected.

The turtle watching activity arranged by the hotel was excellent and very memorable.

The room facilities are outdated and clearly showing signs of age. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. We woke up with body aches every morning. The air conditioning blows directly onto the bed, making it impossible to avoid the cold air during sleep. Several family members caught a cold during our stay. We stayed for two nights, but the room was not cleaned during our stay. Breakfast was very average, with limited variety and quality. The overall standard of accommodation and service does not match the premium price being charged.

Family tent stay is the best. Its location is perfect place to relax. Turtle tour was awesome

Hôtel situé directement dans la réserve. Proche de la plage, et ideal pour aller voir les tortues (visites avec des guides tres sympas). Nourriture très bonne. La Tente Éco Familiale de Luxe est spacieuse et confortable, bien equipee, et bien climatisee.

L'emplacement était calme ; mais extremement venté. La tente #24 est directement exposee, et impossible de fermer l'oeil de la nuit. Trop de monde a la visite des tortues ; et nous n'avons pas ressenti de traitement de faveur du fait d'avoir reside a l'hotel (vs. venant de l'exterieur).

Lovely stay in the Eco-tent. Big comfy bed. Breakfast, lunch and aupper all very good. Tasty, fresh food. Friendly staff. Polite, helpful waiters. Well organised turtle viewing tours. Many visitors, but managed well. Lovely gift shop. Great stay. Highly recommended.

It was a very lovely 1 night stay 😀 Good atmosphere, nothing to dislike.

This is a very difficult hotel to rate. The accomodation and services are basic, but if you plan to stay just for accomodation, you probably are in the wrong place. The real value is the experience the hotel provides - the turtles, and that is a 10. The staff is helpfull and very welcoming - Omani style. The location is unique.

Accomodation is basic, but according to expectations. The food - both dinner and breakfast - are decent. Too much people for the turtle tours, despite the efforts of breaking it into small groups.

Turtle nesting tour at night and dawn is quite unique, and perfectly organised.

Abbiamo alloggiato in questa enorme Tenda vista mare all’interno della riserva ed è stato magico. La sera sotto la luna ci hanno accompagnati sulla spiaggia (incluso nella prenotazione ) a vedere le tartarughe e abbiamo assistito alla deposizione delle uova, esperienza incredibile La spiaggia della riserva è stupenda , anche per passare qualche ora e fare un bagno di giorno

Chambre assez standard, salle de bain à revoir 1 seul carafe d’eau dans la chambre, si vous voulez de l’eau il faut payer au bar : nous avions pris la demi pension, je trouve ça abusé que des petites bouteilles d’eau n’étaient pas mise à dispositions dans la chambre Manque de communication au niveau des navettes : nous avons été à 5h du matin, le guide nous a dit qu’on pouvait rester jusqu’au levée du soleil et que la navette reviendrai nous chercher…à 7h nous étions encore à attendre sur la plage. Nous avons finalement appelé l’hôtel qui nous a dit de rentrer à pied, pas pratique avec des enfants en bas âge

De turtle tour was heel leuk. Het ontbijt was heel goed. De tenten waren idyllisch voor de locatie.

De badkamer was niet goed schoon. Er was veel schimmelvorming in de randen. De tour was leuk, echter wist de guide niet veel vragen te beantwoorden, hij kende alleen zijn eigen ingestuurde verhaal.

The advantage of the hotel is to be on site for the turtle tours. We did not see any, unfortunately. I would have liked for the guides to at least tell us a bit about the turtles, after 2h of waiting and waking up at 4h30.

Hotel is gedateerd. Het is geen sfeervol hotel. Kamers in het hotelgebouw zijn simpel en ook gedateerd. Eten is ok, maar niet echt bijzonder. Prijs-kwaliteit is niet in verhouding.

Il serait judicieux de spécifier sur le site les périodes de reproduction des tortues… On nous a laissé l’espoir toute la soirée, en nous faisant attendre dehors sous une lumière rouge pendant 2h pour au final voir « miraculeusement » deux bébés tortues se diriger vers mer entourées de 50 « photographes » Les chambres tout à fait spartiate pour le prix pratiqué

Belangrijk: check eerst het seizoen!!! Ze gaven ons geen antwoord op de vraag bij t boeken of we veel schildpadden konden zien maar bij aankomst was duidelijk: tijdens t laag seizoen is t een mazzeltje als je er 1 of 2 kan zien… het is overall al compleet overpriced maar in t laagseizoen al helemaal. Als je van tevoren wisten wat we hadden kunnen verwachten, hadden we dit nooit geboekt. We hadden een dure tent geboekt, maar daar komen helemaal geen schildpadden en slechts twee tenten hebben echt uitzicht. Er zijn verder nul voorzieningen maar je moet wel continu met een golfkarretje helemaal omhoog naar je tent. Daar lig je tussen de rotsen, op zich mooi maar met kinderen echt waardeloos. Er is geen zwembad, er is geen speeltuin, er is helemaal niks te doen. Het museum is verouderd en is niet veel. Wij kunnen echt niet geloven dat ze zoveel geld vragen voor wat ze aanbieden. De twee tours die erin zitten zijn op zich leuk en het personeel daar is vriendelijk, maar vergeet niet dat je niet alleen bent. Behalve de hotelgasten kunnen ook andere mensen gewoon een kaartje kopen, dus het is afgeladen met mensen. Bedenk dan hoe het voor die ene schildpad is in het laagseizoen…. Het was bijna ruzie maken voor een foto. De mensen bij het restaurant zijn heel erg aardig, maar het eten is niet heel erg bijzonder. 12 rial voor het dinerbuffet is aan de prijs, en is niet eens inbegrepen in de hoge overnachtingskosten. Kortom: check het seizoen! En bedenk dan of je dit het waard vindt, en ga er naartoe met lage verwachtingen, je moet echt voor de schildpadden gaan. Niet voor een mooie en fijne hotelervaring.

Very nice staff, good and tasty food. The possibility to see turtles is something exceptional; people’s behaviour during the tours may be questioned. The hotel is old but still value for money is good. If you consider that food and 2 turtle watching tours are included then the price is not expensive at all. We will be happy to come again!

It was clean and ethically built

The property and staff were excellent but may I suggest that children under 10 not attend the mothers burying the eggs. In my experience, the children were not under control and were making too much noise. Thank you for a fabulous experience Al Raj , I would love to revisit.

Das Zelt war sehr schön

Der Rest!!! Ein no-go ist dieses Theater mit dem Turtle-Watching . Die Tiere werden eindeutig in ihren Brutplätzen gestört. Außerdem werden Baby-Schildkröten aus der Tasche geholt und den Gästen vorgemacht dass diese gerade geschlüpft wären. Es ist einfach nur traurig und unverständlich. Da wir schon um 16.30 Uhr den Strand verlassen mussten um die Schildkröten nicht zu stören dachten wir , dass es sich um ein Resort mit besten Gedanken an die Tiere aber dem ist nicht so. Die Menschen trampeln morgens und abends über den Strand und bekommen Dinge erzählt die einfach unmöglich sind. Ich rate unbedingt von diesem Resort ab !!!!

Zimmer sind ok, haben aus gutem Grund keine Fenster. Absolutes Highlight ist die Führung zu den Schildkröten, welche top Organisiert ist und ein wirkliches Highlight darstellt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Tappa fantastica per vedere le tartarughe e la loro schiusa! Posizione favolosa per raggiungere la spiaggia dove ammirare le tartarughe. Incredibili e ben organizzate le visite guidate incluse nel pernottamento, sia la sera che all'alba: anche fuori stagione abbiamo avuto la possibilità di ammirare le tartarughe nella deposizione delle uova e la schiusa dei piccoli. Camere all'interno dell'edificio essenziali ma comunque in generale pulite. Ottima la colazione la mattina e super la cena (extra) a buffet. Magica esperienza anche per i bambini!

Wenn einem die Turtles wichtig sind, dann ist ist die Unterkunft empfehlenswert. Abendessen war zu teuer. Wir sind zum Essen nach Ras al Hadd gefahren. Wir haben am nächsten Morgen eine schöne Strandwanderung gemacht. Die Felsformationen waren sehr schön anzuschauen.

Tutto il resto. Le eco tende sono vecchie, mal tenute, sporche. L’armadio non si chiudeva, il bagno aveva sempre cattivo odore, pieno di polvere e sporcizia. Pessimo rapporto qualità - prezzo.

Der Strand war toll! Die Führung ok

Ich weiß nicht ob man bei dem Preis lachen oder Weinen soll! Der Strand ist wunderschön! Die Schildkrötentour ok aber mehr nicht! Das Hotel ist ein Alptraum für den Preis! Die Tankstelle bei mir zuhause strahlt mehr orientalischen Charme aus als dieser Betonklotz! Die Einrichtung strahlt eine Kälte aus wie sonst wahrscheinlich nur in der Arktis zu finden! Wir haben das Eco Zelt für 400 € die Nacht gebucht! Bei diesem Preis erwartet man sich schon etwas! Aber nein einfach nur ein Zelt das nicht mal richtig schließ! Ich rate dringend davon ab dieses Hotel zu buchen!
