The staff were really friendly and helpful ,they made us feel very welcome Location was perfect Overall It was worth the price
Breakfast was so simple The building was old and furniture wasn’t good
Staff were very friendly and supportive location was very good access to everything
Goed
Niets speciaals
Excellent location, in the centre of the town but quite corner. Nice staff, good breakfast..
Pillows were not comfortable and when I asked for soft pillows they said ok but didn't provide.. not even a glass in the room for drinking tea...you have to use paper cups..
Our room was really dirty, the bathroom was really dark, the TV was almost broken, and construction sounds were always in the room. The reception took all our passports, which was really unusual. I asked him why, but he just repeated that he needed our passports. In general, it is really worth paying an extra 20/ 30 euros per night to get a better hotel.
Late check-in due to the room not being ready; we had to wait until 14:30 for the floor to dry. Although we booked a 90 sqm room, we were given a 24 sqm room with three beds pushed together, which was quite disappointing. The staff took our passports and initially said they would return them only at check-out; they were returned only after we insisted. The Wi-Fi was poor, even the paid option was difficult to use. Overall cleanliness was below expectations, and the towels were not well sanitized and had an unpleasant smell.
Cleanness, staff, english speaking staff, near to airport On-time breakfast
The fifth floor did not have elevator (only first 4 floor had elevator) and no-one helped me carry my baggage there, a bit weird map to my room
We have been staying in this hotel for 4 nights with my wife. The best thing about Royal berk is its location. You can walk to shopping centers such as van mall and AVM mall. In addition , it is just a cupple of minutes far from main discos like festa. You can walk to şemsieh street, maraş , van musum and best restaurants of van. The gestures of staff in this hotel was great and they treat respectfully. They were skilled in speaking farsi. Break fast was good enough for a 3 stars hotel. Rooms were clean and every day you can ask for room service. Tottally I strongly recommend you reseving this hotel.
The reception staff was very helpful, particularly Mr. Mesut, who assisted me in scheduling a comfortable trip for my parents to return home safely. As long as he is the manager of this hotel, I am confident I can trust him. The other staff members are invaluable as well, and they speak Farsi, which is an advantage for Iranian guests. The breakfast is terrific. The rooms are clean and odor-free. There is an air conditioner available for the summer months. Compared to other hotels in the area, this one truly deserves its 5-star rating. Wonderful location!
This place has some minor issues. But compared to other big disadvantages of surrounding hotels in the area, they can easily be overlooked..
Clean
Good enough
This is a great hotel with friendly and helpful staff, particularly the receptionist, Mesut. Its location is excellent, as it is conveniently situated in the city center. However, one minor drawback is that the breakfast menu lacks variety, as the options remain largely the same every day.
The hotel staff were wonderful—kind, polite, and always helpful. In particular, Nastaran stood out as an exceptional receptionist. She was not only extremely polite but also consistently attentive and eager to help with anything I needed. Her professionalism and warm demeanor truly enhanced my experience.
Everything good
The price is high
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The internet was very poor and disconnecting frequently. I’m they clean the rooms but not a deep cleaning. The shower tiles were brownish of dirt, the kettle area was dirty and seemed uncleaned for a long time. There was aircon in the room but it’s not working when I asked the staff they said the weather is good and we turned it off centrally. So the room was very stuffy. There was a small window that when you opened it the smell of smoking was entering or noise of people talking…
Location was central
Location is about center and full of cozy restaurant
Cleaning of beds need to be review seriously
I asked to turn on the air conditioner. But I was told it can only be turned on from 1 July. What a rip off?!!! So I had to sweat all the day and night.
Staff and poor breakfast quality with stale food and tea
Breakfast
My family stayed there. TV had problems and nobody fixed them. The room was cold and the staff did not provide any heat fan or something for them. My family asked for water to drink and the staff answered very rudely instead of helping.
The location was good But during sleep hours, the street was a bit crowded and night life was still on Soo the noise was a bit disturbing
The breakfast and the room facilities wasn’t convenient
rooms are not properly clean, linen looks like it was re used
worst hotels I went to,very dirty toilet only it had a good location. It was very bad in terms of cleanliness... breakfast not good.. busy and noisy hotel.. during three days the room was not cleaned..
very good ,very clean
the atmosphere! were in the center and the staff was really friendly
nobody speaks in english
i was ran out of options in that time ... first of all it was 3 star hotel... then the breakfast was awful no options just local halva and cold food no warm food and you have to stick with cheese and bread and tea ... i all the time went to burger king to eat sth... then the appearance of hotel is good but the other thing was horrible ... oh god the Internet was so poor and you can not check your Instagram the staff can not speak English... in the end i will give it 2 out of 5
I took pot luck in choosing a hotel for a visit to Van. But I struck gold. The room was spacious and had aircon and a mini fridge. Plenty of towels and toiletries in the bathroom. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was a feast. Self service from a huge Van Breakfast table. Location was excellent; in a side street near a main centre road. Hence the hotel was so quiet. I wanted to make various trips out and the Duty Manager went far beyond what I expected to find accurate information to help me. Outstanding service and I will definitely stay there next time I am in Van.
I do Love here because it is a comfortable place that I stayed here for one night and for sure if i came back once again l would select it One of its advantages is to be so close to well known shopping malls as it is located in the city centre. recommend you to come here and enjoy
Royal berk hotel is near çumhuriat street ,that is main street in Van for shopping. That has famous turkish and another brands such as: koton,Defacto, mavi and etc located in this area. Hotel's staff was kind , neat , polite. This hotel serves to achieve 4th stars . Lobby is so nice and chic, but the alley of hotel is not good because the salespersons make crowded. Reception was active and always said : right a way
Good location at heart of shopping, big rooms & clean & silent, nice & friendly staff, not a good breakfast, it feels like a 4star in turkey, I stayed there for 2 nights & enjoyed the stayed, The hotel is 200m away from van avm which is the biggest shopping mall of van. I recommend it!!!
Now I'm in van city and Royal berk hotel. Royal berk not a 3star hotel, because has 4star features. Most of the 3 star hotels in van doesn't have air conditioner but Royal berk has. This hotel located in heart of the shopping disttict of van. Last thing is staff, all of staff such as reservation desk and servants are very very kind and so polite.
We stayed in the Royal Berk for 5 nights and we loved every minute spent there. The hotel is located perfectly in the city center but we couldn't hear any noise from the street. The room was very large and the bed very comfy. The kahvalti (breakfast) is great with a lot to choose from, the breakfast room is a little dark but it didn't bother us. Many restaurants options a few steps from the hotel. We would like to thank the whole Royal Berk staff for their kindness and help. Wishing you all the best.
Customer service makes or breaks it for any enterprise and young Sefer is destined for a great career in the hospitality industry. Van is at the eastern end of the Turkish earth. Not a whole lot of English speakers hanging around, even driving taxis. Sefer went to university in Antalya, our expat home, and understands the tourist's expectations as well as our limitations. The Berk is in the city center, yet easy to get lost walking around the block. Thanks to Sefer's taxi-ferry-bus-map-cost-confirmation arrangements my wife and I got to see, eat and do everything on our list. We took the bus from the airport and thanks to divine intervention found the Royal Berk - next time I'll overrule my frugal partner and take a taxi.
This is a relatively modern and well located hotel in Van. We got a very nice and spacious room for our family of four. The staff was very friendly and diligent. A block away from the hotel you can find the best breakfasts in Van so this is a great choice!
I stayed at this hotel july 2014 for 2 nights .hotel team are helpful .hotel is clean .rooms are big and it has enough space .beds quality is good.it has air conditioner. the location is very well .easy acess in heart of city with a short distance you are able to find big and famous brands such as Mavi ,waikiki, nike,.... the only thing that i did not like was the hotel light is not enough and area for breakfast small. but overall when you consider price and facikit
Hotel is located in heart of city center, close to retail stores and many good restaurants. We stayed in a large suite for 4 people, which was beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. Bathroom was renovated with brand new sanitary fixtures. Breakfast was also delicious. Moreover, the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, although they could hardly speak English. The only problem we faced was that air conditioning stopped working in mid August, and because of Eid-al-Fitr holidays the reception could not find any technicians.
We decided to skip staying in Dogubeyazit because of slim pickings for hotels there and they are smoky. We Chose Royal Berk Hotel in Van and we are glad we did. We had a pleasant, clean large room for a reasonable price including a substantial breakfast. We were able to park our car in front and rely on taxi service for a day trip. The best part was the service. Mr Sefer at the front desk spoke good English having had American training and was exceedingly helpful. When we needed to find some fruit, a bellboy came with us to show us the way. When we gave the staff a watermelon they reciprocated with a fruit plate. Next came an offer for some tea. There was nothing they would not do for us. The location is central and the community very pleasant. For wifi folks it was free and good.
I've been there for 2 nights. Location: 1 minute walk to city center in quite and safe neighborhood, Staffs: cant speak English at all, but very kind and polite and also helpful. Rooms: very beautiful decoration and completely clean, beds are so soft and comfortable, Mini bar:none and refrigerator is empty, but you can call for free tea any time. Room Facilities: towel dryer, hair dryer, clothes hanger, safe box, high speed wi-fi,Concave mirror, shower cabin, shampoos and clean towels. Price: it depends on the season but never forget to haggle. Breakfast: the variety isn't very much but you can find some Delicious dairies and jams. Also this hotel is a diamond in Van city but there are some negative points also: - there are no tooth brushes and toothpastes. - you can talk clearly without any noises to your beside's rooms by WC canals !!! - radiator and towel dryer are off during the day. - no pool. I've seen about 10 hotels in Van city, This hotel is one of the best in this town.
we stayed in royal berk about 2weeks ago.rooms are big and beds are comfortable and clean.breakfast was perfect and delicious .the location was good and near to the shopping centers and resturants.wifi speed not bad.the stuff are friendly and knows english and FARSI.i can say this hotel is better than 4stars hotel in istanbul.i suggest it to u.
