Danagher’s Hotel Cong

All of the staff were helpful and so friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed traditional irish music and a pint in Danaghers pub on Thursday evening. Had a wonderful chat with the bartender about our upcoming visit to Ballinrobe races. The housekeeping and breakfast wait staff were lovely. We were able to walk around Cong to see the Abbey, have a great dinner, do some shopping and view the beautiful sights. Would definitely stay at Danaghers in future. Thank you!

Really nice cosy hotel with character, and all the staff were lovely, From check in to check out. The bar was really busy with a birthday party but there was enough bar staff on and they were excellent. The bar is lovely. The room was spotless. Nice cosy bed, nice view, big TV, shower lovely, nice sized ensuite and tea/coffee with a little 3 pack of biscuits, there was also 2 small bottles of still water, these were nice touches I thought. The breakfast was lovely, piping hot and fresh. We would definitely return. The location also perfect. Cong is small but so pretty.

Ensuite door didnt close properly but thats not a massive issue either

Everything was great just not serving food due to internal issue that will getting fixed

Booked a room with a bath on arrival we were told the rooms had no baths. The site said they had a full evening menu on arrival they said they had a fire a few months ago and the dining rooms were closed. The first night was like living on a building site with con saws and sledge hammer s pounding away till half eight. They failed to inform me about any issues. Also cash only no credit card allowed. Very disappointed. We should have been contacted and informed of this.

Must be up grading hotel rooms were lovely ..

Asked for 2 double beds , got a room with single and a double , when I had messaged the hotel weeks before they had said no problem disappointed. Bad nites sleep lot of noise from smoking area as our room was situated there. Only breakfast served which was lovely , if you wanted dinner you had to go to restaurant across road .. a least they were near .

Location was great in the village. Room was lovely with a great shower. Nice views out to the street. Breakfastwas served and very tasty.

It was very warm temperatures and no fan in the room but these temps are unusual for Ireland. It was a very enjoyable stay

Cong is a beautiful spot, Danagher’s is a nice basic hotel for a 2 or 3 night stay. That are excellent, very helpful and have great customer care. Breakfast was lovely, warm and they provided mugs if requested.

The lorries that barrel pass only feet from the hotel. This isn't Danagher’s fault, its the fault of the local council. This area should be truck free and if possible car free

Bedroom a little on the cool side. Also reception frequently unmanned. Sometimes no one around for enquiries.

The vibe and ambience of the hotel were lovely and cosy. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was beautifully tasty and plentiful, And wonderfully Quiet O_o

Room was clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of space to store luggage and clothing. Bed was very comfortable. Don't expect the Ritz Carlton. It is not that, but was quaint, comfortable and clean and in a historic building. Breakfast was very good. Staff were very friendly. Would love to come back for a longer stay.

Euronet atm to get cash for the pub was outrageously expensive. I would rather have paid an additional fee using a credit card to pay at pub.

Staff very friendly in bar area and breakfast dining room… Constructive criticism is your website does not market the food end of the bar .I could not find a menu on the website so I choose then to eat elsewhere …. You have a nice pint of Guinness !

We didn't like that there were no curtains in the bathroom..our room was no 2 ..when outside u can see in the bathroom window ..Even glass is slightly frosted ..we had to.out out towels up to have some privacy..As i was outside I could see through the window when I looked up ..Which was embarrassing for my Partner when I told him..

Went for friend's wedding nice decor n good wee vibe staff helpful n pleasant weren't in hotel much really good location.

Rooms at front noisey lot of traffic , breakfast was just ok could have been better wasn't hot enough poached eggs overcooked n water on plate just brought one coffee n not pot it was busy n staff seemed stretched.
