Coming home
We stayed here with our toddler for 1 night. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff were so friendly. The restaurant was lively with music playing in the bar so it didn't matter if our toddler made noise. We had a lovely relaxed dinner. Breakfast in the morning was also very good.
Parking is a bit difficult as limited spaces outside but we got parked in the supermarket car park down the street.
Room was clean, staff helpful and meals above expectation.
Nothing. It was really a lovely experience.
The place was very nice and th staff were extremely friendly.
Everything was great, from the size of the family room to both breakfast and dinner.
Nothing
The breakfast was lovely especially the overnight oats! The room was lovely and the flower boxes outside our window added a lovely touch. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend.
Excellent location in centre of Cong. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again
Very quaint and comfy. Staff were so friendly and attentive
Parking was limited but …. Hey! You can expect to visit rural Ireland and get city parking privileges lol! A minor detail that did not impact our trip.
Very central and very friendly staff.
A little dated but very clean.
The experience when we first walk through the door was incredible they helped us with our bags to our rooms the rooms roomsextraordinary nice the beds were comfortable the shower was excellent couldn't ask for a better place
There is nothing bad to say about our experience
Staff couldn’t have been any nicer, went above & beyond. Food was excellent, location ideal.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and keen to do a good job. That said at every meal they forgot to bring something, whether it was a cup of tea or coffee or a glass of wine. The food ( both at breakfast and dinner) was very good
The bedroom was above the kitchen and we had cooking smells wafting up in the morning and in the evening which meant we had to keep the window closed - just when Ireland is having it's latest hetwave.
The location is great staff very pleasant very helpfull
Nothing i didnt like our 2 time staying there
The staff were exceptional; they could not have been friendlier, more welcoming or more accommodating. Totally fantastic. We shall be back!
The location, breakfast and service
Parking
Great little pub hotel...fantastic staff and great service...big room with modern, well appointed bathroom...very comfortable bed too!
Parking was limited over the weekend but they didn't have a lot of space
Had dinner and breakfast - very good
Great location, everything in walking distance,
Rooms were spotless and comfortable, location superb, staff lovely.
Nothing I didn't like.
Traditional irish accommodation in a beautiful little village.
Loved the area, so close to everything. Fantastic atmosphere in the lydons lodge hotel. Food was really nice and reasonable. Staff were so helpful and kind.
Nothing
Centrally located to walks, shops and sights - close to the river. The included breakfast was very good, and offered choices.
Parking is limited and was challenging to find any in front of the hotel. Steep stairs to the rooms upstairs - a problem if you have mobility issues. Recently remodeled but still dark inside - thankfully we a had a room where we could open the windows into the back courtyard. It was unseasonably hot out & the fan was not enough to cool the room.
Really lovely food. Staff were wonderful and helpful. Bed and room clean an comfortable just what we needed
Nothing negative to say at all
Great location, spacious rooms, excellent food and drink and wonderful staff
Nothing at all
The breakfast was very good plenty of choices
No all was good
Fantastic location in town. Great for fishing or to see the Quiet man filming locations.
Nothing
The rooms were clean and it was great for three adults in one room. It was in the heart of Cong with many things in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately there was a wake and so we were unable to use the restaurant upon arrival but they were helpful in a very close recommendation so it turned out fine.
great stay lively common area. exceptionally clean and tidy rooms. we had to leave early and they accommodated us by providing an excellent breakfast before departure
Great location within the village
Nothing
We really appreciated that the staff worked hard to get our room ready before check-in time, as we arrived earlier than planned - thank you! We had a lovely stroll around Cong that evening, had drinks and dinner around the village and then ordered dessert and a night cap in Lydons before bed. Breakfast the next morning was great, lots of choice and freshly prepared.
Tranquilo y confortable, desayuno magnífico, el pueblo tiene un entorno precioso.
Un poco viejo, en general.
Everything the place was spotless and modern and the property is situated centrally
Nothing
Everything. Great location. Beautiful rooms, great bar and good. Great entertainment. Staff was lovely and accommodating.

nice place
no parking
We needed an early check-in, which was sorted by phone with no problem. Very friendly staff on arrival, room was very comfortable. Excellent breakfast - of the menu items we had a full Irish and the scrambled eggs with salmon, generous portions in both cases. One of us was late in coming down but staff were accommodating.
Good location comfortable great breakfast
Food was excellent, staff were very pleasant
The location of this hotel was central to the areas we were visiting such as Ashford Castle. We ate in the pub restaurant and the food was good. The breakfast was also good. There is limited parking outside but there was plenty of parking available on the surrounding roads. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definently stay again next time we go back to Cong.
There was nothing that would have made our stay at Lydons Lodge any better.
Can you list of the players the staff are so friendly the food was excellent
Very convenient, lovely atmosphere
The location is excellent, right in the middle of the town. It’s comfortable, reasonably priced for the time of year, and the bar and restaurant are full of ambience, with great food. We took part in the “Quiet Man” walking tour, which was brilliant! There’s lots to see and do nearby.
Nothing!
Beautiful riverside location, friendly helpful staff and well-appointed spacious room with very comfortable beds. Food was excellent with a good choice including vegetarian. A really enjoyable stay and would love to return.
No parking at the hotel, but we were lucky to find on-street parking. This didn't detract from an otherwise excellent experience.
The staff were so helpful and went out of their way to make our stay better.
Location.
Parking could have been difficult. But a spot opened up in front..
Joyce, the only one that actually was doing a great job
The lobby was cold and dark. There was no fire in the fireplace, nobody was at the desk, and there was no bell to ring for assistance. The front door was propped open in 12 degrees and cloudy weather, and it all felt damp, spooky, and uninviting. The door into the reception booth was so dirty that I had to take a picture of it. It's just unbelievable that after going through the hard school of COVID-19, they still cannot keep their touch points clean. I had to go next door to the pub to find someone to check us in. A guy in a wrinkly shirt and jeans stood behind the counter, watching my husband move the car whilst peacefully picking his nose. Charming. He was surprised that we found a parking spot outside the hotel and pointed out that we were "very lucky." Not a good look for a premises that advertises free parking. We got the second last room on the first floor, facing the back of the building. I had booked a double but got a twin room instead. Concerningly, all fire doors along the corridor were propped open, some even permanently with furniture. The decor in the room and hallway was pale yellow and looked tired; the carpets were worn down and stained. The beds and the bathroom were clean, but the pillows were hard and flat, and the room smelled dusty and peculiar, like a Finnish sauna. The blinds were dirty, the curtains and the curtain rail were leftovers from the 1980s. The furniture was randomly pieced together, and the wardrobe was a plastic venire mostrosity. Plastic "leather" headboards were the only decoration, and they sported distinct head impressions and a loss of colour from decades of use. The shower had a stained and narrow bathtub and a plastic shower curtain. The bathroom fan was not working, and after we both had a shower, the entire hotel room turned into a steam room. We could not open the window because the steam from the kitchen came up directly outside our window, and it smelled like a school contina.
It's pretty basic but it's clean, staff are lovely and beds are comfy. Good location if your exploring that area, we went over to Moytura for food which was exceptional.
The food was great rooms were very clean and warm and cozy
Rooms with thin walls staff didnt seem to recognise that there are people trying to sleep in the rooms above. They had amplified music playing until 2.30am in the morning. The bathroom door had a very large gap underneath it
The staff were so helpful and considerate.
Carpet in the rooms, I have allergies.
The staff couldn't have been more lovely, our stay here, our one dinner here and both breakfasts were lovely. Wonderful experience here.
We were looking for a quiet break and that's what we got, along with very efficient, helpful and pleasant staff which makes all the difference.
Maybe if there was a lift to the 1ft floor, for carrying bags upstairs...
Good location for sights and shops.
Parking was uncertain.
Family run hotel. Very confortable. Central location in the village of Cong. Food really good.
The Lodge is an amazing place to stay, set in a beautiful village. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were friendly and the dinner we had at the attached restaurant was excellent.
Centrally located in a lovely little village with easy parking, nice food & welcoming staff
The bed was small & the pillows could do with an upgrade.

Breakfast 10/10
More a pub with rooms than a hotel, but good food, friendly staff and excellent location all in its favour. Room was simple but clean and adequate.
Parking a difficulty on arriving on a Sunday afternoon.
Fabulous family run hotel. Service cleanliness and food were excellent
Nothing negative
Quaint, cosy & clean , staff very helpful & friendly
Parking,
magnificent location, food was very nice & the staff was lovely
bed was uncomfortable but everyone has a different experience with beds
Bel pub hotel in centro a Cong. Camera spaziosa dotata di ogni comfort nel centro di Cong. Buona e con molta scelta anche la colazione. Parcheggio davanti alla struttura. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
Pokój duży, wygodny i czysty. Gospodarze i personel uczynni i mili. Śniadanie z karty do wyboru, każdy znalazł coś dla siebie. Restauracja serwuje doskonałe obiady. Wieczorem w restauracji grała głośna muzyka, w hotelu wszędzie były zatyczki do uszu. W nocy już było spokojnie. Chętnie przyjedziemy ponownie.
