​Location: 10/10. An easy walk to the Chinese Fishing Nets, Princess Street, and Burger Street. The Kathakali dance center (the green-face dance) is right around the corner. The souvenir shop next door (the shop) is also great—no pushy sales, just nice things. ​Facilities: 10/10. The room was super big and comfy, and the bed was great for a good night's sleep. Our room overlooked the garden and restaurant, and noise was never a problem. Having a pool was a nice bonus, though it sits right in front of the dining area, so you feel a bit on display. ​Service: 10/10. Staff were consistently good. We ate dinner at the restaurant a few times, and they have options like pasta if you are traveling with kids. ​Tip: I really enjoyed the cooking class. Choose local vegetarian dishes if you want to learn step-by-step with the chefs how to make authentic Kerala food. A great experience if you like cooking.

The pool lacks privacy since it is right in front of the restaurant table area. Nevertheless; having a pool it is a great plus.

I had a very pleasant stay at Abad Dutch Bungalow in Fort Kochi. The property has a lot of old-world charm and fits perfectly with the historic atmosphere of the neighborhood. The location is excellent - quiet and relaxing, while still being within easy reach of Fort Kochi’s main attractions, cafés, restaurants, and waterfront. The rooms and common areas looked very vintage and historical, but also were comfortable and well maintained, and the overall ambience made the stay feel much more distinctive than a typical hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even better!! A great option if you’re visiting Fort Kochi and want somewhere peaceful, charming, and conveniently located. I would happily stay here again.

The hotel was good. Good location. Only a short walk to shops. Restaurants close by. Beach only one block away. The breakfast was good and the staff were excellent.

The bathroom shower was a little mouldy

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were so lovely and helpful, we liked it so much, we booked again for the last night of our trip

El hotel es antiguo, muy bien mantenido, las habitaciones muy grandes y cómodas, el baño limpio y amplio, camas muy confortables. El personal súper atento a cualquier consulta o necesidad. El restorán al lado de la piscina súper lindo, excelente desayuno buffet y almuerzos y cenas a la carte delicioso todo. La ubicación es muy buena, cerca de todo en Fort Cochi.

Staff were incredible. My wife had a fall in town and the manager supported her in hospital with amazing kindness. All staff went out their way to help. Hotel is charming - we had a very roomy heritage room. Only small issue was delay in hot water in bathroom and inconsishower temperature.

We loved the age and look of the Hotel. Heritage buildings are a favourite of ours. Our house in Australia was built in 1923. The staff were fantastic and a great help to in finding the best places to go. Thanks to everyone for looking after us and especially the front staff who really gave a a visit to remember.

gutes Frühstück, Auswahl europäischer und indischer Speisen. Großzügiges klimatisiertes Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Freundliches Personal. Das Ambiente in der Villa aus dem 17. Jahrhundert ist sehr schön.

Erwarte das unerwartete. Das Warmwasser lässt auf sich warten und bei starkem Regen, tropfte es durch das Dach, direkt in die Dusche. Wo anders ist eine Regendusche Premium, hier inclusive 😉. Es kam natürlich sofort ein Handwerker. Das Haus ist numal 500 Jahre alt.

The lack of lift made us carry the luggage to the first floor

A historical, quiet and nostalgic property. Instagram worthy photos can be taken. Walking distance to the beach - beach is not large. Good restaurants close by. Wonderful and friendly staff extending excellent service.

Some improvements needed are as follows: 1. The shower had minimal pressure which made showering a long process. 2. The water heats up after 10 minutes of water wastage. A quicker heating system would save water. 3. The length of the bidet spray fitted at the pipe next to the toilet bowl is too short. A longer length would be useful. 4. Light bulbs could be changed to LED lights to make it brighter and energy efficient. 5. Location was a distance away from Ernakulam - about one hour + drive.

The breakfast had a nice spread. The staff at the restaurant were very cordial and helpful. The location is excellent. The Mahatma Gandhi Beach is at a walking distance. There is also a FabIndia Store closby

The property needs to be maintained well for the premium price being charged. Fixing commodes and broken tiles in washrooms and dust on the external walls would have certainly enhanced our experience. Also, keeping the exterior walls of rooms free of dust will be very nice. Provision of power sockets near the table would have been nice for people who would want to use laptops. Also, the vehicles have to be parked outdoor by the side of the road.

The hotel was in a great location, just a short walk from the main few streets of Fort Kochi so our stay was very peaceful while still conveniently located. The staff were super helpful throughout our stay, helping us with information about local activities and booking them for us. The breakfast was tasty and a nice variety. Our rooms were lovely, the atmosphere of the place was just amazing.

The only thing that I could mention was the pool was being cleaned when we first arrived so we weren't able to use it, and once the maintenance was done and we could swim the chlorine was a little intense, otherwise there is nothing to say that was negative! It was a little dark in our rooms but it was vibey generally.

We requested a third single bed and it wasn’t as comfortable as the other main beds which were really comfortable!

Lovely welcoming staff- felt like home

The property location was great for shops & restaurants as all within walking distance down lovely streets. Pool area was clean & offered a nice cool down in the strong heat. Breakfast choice offered both Western & Indian food & all delicious.

Cleanliness in rooms could have been of slightly higher standards ie work surfaces & underneath the bed. Told the smoking area was to be outside on main road but on day 2 realised you could use a safe area beside the pool! Staff mainly were very attentive but the management somewhat stand off ish at times!!!!

The old heritage building was overly. Rooms were had were huge, with an adjoining veranda. Very nice.

The pool was out of action and while nobody’s fault it is disappointing.

The staff were great, helpful, patient and friendly. Everything they could do to help they did. We couldn’t fault them. The position of the hotel is also very good.

The hotel is overpriced. We have been in India a three weeks now and stayed in many hotels. This was the worst value for money. It desperately needs updating in so many ways. If it was half the price it would have been about right.

We took 2 rooms. Size of one of the rooms was quite small. Not in line with the pricing which was almost the same for both rooms.

Staying at Dutch Bungalow in Cochin was a really nice experience. We were warmly welcomed by a charming receptionist and manager. Spacious rooom and bathroom(just missing small table for toiletries. Delicious restaurant with friendly and efficient staff. Special mention for the dish with tiger prawns. Monique and Christian K

Bathroom was tired and a little smelly. Could easily add a table or place to lay out toiletries (it’s quite spacious) but instead there is just a ledge in the shower which is not ideal. Pool could be warmer to be more refreshing.
