Needs to improve the rooms the facility needs maintenance with the bathroom and the decoration

Te ofrecen un desayuno muy completo, excelente servicio y facil acceso.

La habitación era amplia.

Desde que llegamos supongo que por que había un evento la presión y rapidez por que llegáramos, literal nos dio la llave sin más explicaciones la chica de recepción solo nos dijo si necesitas algo puedes ir con ella vive aquí, señalando a una señora. Salimos a cenar algo y escribí para avisar que alguien de los del evento había salido y dejado el portón abierto nunca nos contestó ni un gracias, a las 8 am alguien empezó a aspirar hojas fuera de la habitación haciendo ruido altísimo sin considerar que los huéspedes duermen. La presión de la regadera es nula , literal salen 10 gotas de agua de la regadera lo que hace esperar al menos 5 minutos a que el agua caliente salga. No tiene relación de calidad con el costo.

The property was beautiful, the Garden was lovely. The rooms were tired and Booking.com overcharged us for the booking. Originally we were quoted around $6600 CDN, we ended up paying over $9000 CDN. Also I could not email Booking.com to inquire about this shocking change in price.

The rooms were very tired and at one point we had no water in our room. After a day and a half of no water we changed rooms. The new room had a shower that was extremely small and didn’t drain well. We were up to our ankles in water. It looked very dirty as well.

Location. Breakfast room and food were good.

The property is not well groomed and since boasts its gardens and grounds they need to hire a professional to clean and maintain the grounds. It’s quite long in the teeth. Great potential but needs TLC. The photos were misleading. Additionally, they lock the office at 4 pm and virtually no one is on duty until 8:30 a.m. For example there was inky 1/2 roll of toilet paper and no extra and no one to ask for more. I one had an emergency , it would be a problem. Also, no instructions provided for how to get into the property habitation area after dark and office closed. No lights . We finally figured out the way across the front lawn stones and around thru the side of the property to get to our room.

L'accueil et le personnel était très bien. J'ai dû reporter d'une journée mon séjour et l'hôtel a acquiescé à ma demande. Le site est très joli mais les photos laissent croire que c'est plus luxueux que ce ne l'est vraiment.

Ce sont les chambres qui m'ont un peu déçue. Pas de clim (je n'avais pas vérifié), seulement un ventilateur. J'ai dû changé d'une première à une autre parce que le ventilateur fonctionnait mal et qu'il n'y avait pas de pression dans la douche. Les petits déjeuners étaient très bien. Mais la dernière journée, on nous a passé du café de la veille!

Hubiera sido perfecto si la alberca fuera climatizada. Estaba heladisima 🥶

Casona muy agradable ,con un alberca y gran jardín para tomar el sol y relajarse , sin ruidos ya que esta en el pueblo ,pero como a 5 cuadras ,lo que la hace mas tranquila, las habitaciones están distribuidas en diferentes zonas de la casa y jardín. desayuno incluido bien.

Rooms were spread around the garden and both the dining room and garden displayed beautiful sculptures! (Maybe temporary)

Our door lock was very hard to open. It’s due for replacement. A microwave for reheating leftovers would be very convenient in the lounge.

El desayuno rico, pero muy básico....el único tema fué que no había agua caliente en la regadera y el agua se cumuló en la regadera y tuve que usar la bomba para destapa

Breakfast was OK, location was good, garden was beautiful!!

I asked if they have cotton sheets , instead of synthetic , they told me no, and offered me warm synthetic blanket lol..but I understand they not understand my English because two days after I saw Cleaning lady with cotton sheets. I should probably ask lady who speaks English better, but it was too late. We stayed for three nights only.

Yolanda was an excellent host. She gave me great detail on what was available during my stay. When showing me my room, she pointed out all the various items like coffee (which was quire good), water and the booklet on anything she may have missed. She made me feel welcome.

Since I was the only guest, It felt odd that I had the whole place to myself.

Es una casa grande típica de ajijic, con habitaciones al rededor del jardín. Bastante cómodas, que ya tienen sus años de construcción pero muy limpias y bien conservadas, la ubicación es muy buena y sin problemas de estacionamiento. Zona muy tranquila que se puede transitar a pie.

No fue culpa del hotel, cayó un diluvio el día de llegada y la alberca se lleno de tierra fue inutilizable. Pero repito no fue culpa del hotel.

El desayuno está muy bien, es ligero pero me pareció suficiente, porque así no sales de la propiedad hasta la tarde, ya sea para comer o disfrutar el pueblo. La tranquilidad del lugar, los jardines, si buscas descanso, ahí es.

la temperatura de la alberca estaba algo fría, aún así me metí y la pude disfrutar, pero si estuviera un poco mas templada sería mucho mas relajante.

Hotel con exteriores hermosos, buen servicio, experiencia de desayuno pintoresca con mesas compartidas con otros huéspedes, agradable en general. La habitación muy reducida y sería genial que tuviera aire acondicionado.

The grounds are beautiful, there is a scent of flowers, the pool, the breakfast, the location, all great. The room was comfortable. I was able to borrow a yoga mat.

The in-person desk closes at 3:00. I had to reach the staff off hours and they were slow to respond. There was a party one night and the noise/music went until 1:30 am, was supposed to stop earlier.

No me volvería a hospedar ahí, la mujer que nos recibió me colgó el teléfono muy majadera, se hacía que no hablaba bien español, como que no entendía y fue majadera. No me gustó para nada, la habitación que me dieron no fue la que reservamos, la cama era mas pequeña, el check in antes de las 11 que les pasa? Apenas vas despertando y tienes que irte. No recomendado.

Absolutely beautiful garden areas! We had a lot of things we had to take care of and did not get to sit and enjoy the garden the way we would have liked. Just far enough away from the busiest areas so that it was very quiet but still within walking distance to most all of the points of interest . Security with locking gates.

No a/c in the room. It was tolerable at night, but we were there during the winter. Summer would be a challenge. The ceiling fan moved the air, but I would suspect, not enough to cool you off during the summer.

The suite I booked was supposed to be a Comfort Room with King bed and an included Microwave. We had neither. Future visitors should be aware that the plumbing is old and there are limits on what can be flushed down the toilet. Staff are great and our breakfast experience was good. One other item of note is the garden has a Saturday Artisan market, with set up starting early. If you plan to enjoy the grounds and pool, Sat is a bust.

The breakfast was as stated. You could order scrambled eggs. We didn’t find the toaster until the second day when another guest showed. The gardens were nice.

The room we stayed in requires an update. The mattress, linens and pillows are old and dated. Unfortunately no toilet paper is allowed down the toilet. I understand this is an old building with old plumbing.

The rooms are large, clean, and comfy, the grounds are beautiful, peaceful, quiet and inviting, and the staff are all super pleasant, efficient and very helpful. The swimming pool is a bonus because they are fairly rare in Ajijic hotels. Also Garden of Dreams is a little like an upscale Bed and Breakfast since all the guests can enjoy breakfast talking together, exchanging Ajijic experiences and offering suggestions.

There is nothing to dislike. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were all amazing and so polite and professional. We loved the decor, the privacy and how great it was to just unwind.

Very good overall. Great breakfasts. The back pool and garden area is lovely. Very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful !

The door of my hotel room was stuck and would not open and I got really nervous. Despite numerous phone calls to the hotel, nobody answered until almost an hour later. Room was really cold at night there was no heating. The mirror in the bathroom is so high up that you cannot use it to see anything .

Friendly, clean, helpful. Will start again off in the area!

I booked three hotels in Jalisco, Mexico on this trip - two were excellent this one was average at best. They charged almost a hundred dollars more than I anticipated. Hotels.com listed hotel at $70 with taxes and fees included. I was charged $404.00 in spite of receiving an email from Hotels.com after booking stating that it would be #337.00 No problem at the other hotels with "Jalisco taxes". Breakfast was barely adequate. I would not recommend as there are far better options in Ajijic.

What a delightful place to stay, it check all the boxes a traveller is looking for. I had to switch from my original accomadations in transit because it werent very nice. Garden of Dreams had a room available and I was so happy with the switch. The landscaping alone was worth it. The morning breakfast was nice. Plus one evening they even had an art show and live music. It was perfect!

The staff are so friendly and helpful! The garden is relaxing and beautiful! A good breakfast is included. We will stay here again!

This hotel has some of the nicest grounds of anywhere I have ever stayed. It would be perfect for a group that wants to have somewhere to just relax and visit with one another, but still have some privacy and freedom to explore AJIJIC independently. Manager, Joanna (???) was very helpful.

This is a great option in Chapala. Specially because it's super quiet and the staff people are always willing to help.

Quiet, lovely , spacious property with serene central gardens, one level bungalow style accommodations in historic residential area 1 km off the highway. Very friendly staff most accommodating through thick and thin. Easily walkable to good local restaurants, banks, Lake Chapala, and the malecon of Ajijic . Appreciated the non corporate mentality.

The staff and owner,Joanna,were absolutely wonderful and accomodating! Alexia,the manager,was very communicative and helpful with her suggestions,what to do,where to dine. The Gardens are beautiful and peace filled. My husband commented how relaxed he was. He even spent time outside! With beautiful nature,you must be prepared for the mosquitoes! I highly recommend this hotel if you find yourself in Ajijic. Also, check out the boutique!

This place is literally magical. The grounds, the people, the vibe, all literally magical! Great location! Easy to walk to everything. The owner is a gem. I found upon check in that I left my debit card in the ATM on my way to the hotel. The owner quickly grabbed her keys and ran me back to the ATM where someone had found my card and ran it in to the bank. She then took me on a grand tour of the area and I was brought to tears with the amount of care and kindness from her. Once back at the hotel, she introduced me to the hotel manager whom I adored and hope to remain friends with forever. She went above and beyond to make me feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. These woman have/are creating a space that feels like home. I can’t wait to make my way back there.

The rooms had an ceiling fan, but I was still pretty warm when I was trying to sleep. An additional fan would have been nice.

The swimming pool has no rails for entering the pool so being one who uses a cane would not have been able to get into or out of the pool except on my knees. Saw one rat on the grounds. Breakfast at 9 was a bowl of cut fruits with yogurt and oats plus coffee so I went out for breakfast for both more choices and an 8am availability.

office was manned only 9am to 3pm. Breakfast from 9-10...which is late for me. Coffee you could make starting at 730am but cream was little old.

The staff was very kind. Everybody was smiling . I would like to mention one staff member in particular because she made my stay very pleasant and enjoyable. Her name is Theresa Gibbs. She went beyond her line of duty to make sure I was comfortable She even cooked for me delicious breakfasts. I opted it for a full breakfast due to that the place is a little bit distanced from many of the restaurants and this was the first time that I had been Ajijic. I love the gardens and the decorations. The small pool was clean and pretty.

I stayed in the hotel for 22 days, not knowing (I found the last week of my stay) that I could have had a discount if I had stayed 25 days. Like I expressed I like the place and the staff, but there was one thing that really mortified me. It was the water . The water in the bathroom to wash your face, brush your teeth and take a shower. Although the staff gave you plenty of "clean" water " that you could use to drink and brush your teeth, I had to take showers with the water from the faucet/pipe. The water in the bathroom had the most horrendous smell, like putrefied eggs. It was hard to take showers because I could not stand the water's smell and texture. I ask the staff and I was told that because it had not rain the water that was being used had reached the volcanic layers of the land. The staff offered me to move to another room, but I had already fixed my things and I didn't have the assurance that the water would be better in the other rooms. So, I stayed . The bathroom's water some days was better and other days was worse. This situation make me dread the bathroom's water and take showers, which is a vital necessity (and pleasurable) in the hot weather.

Top marks in all categories. Especially the charming and solicitous hostess Teresa. This is a lovely oasis or sanctuary, especially for couples. Many exotic touches, like custom painted tiles throughout. Gorgeous grounds and pool. Complete and excellent breakfasts. Close to central plaza. Highly recommend.

The place is very tidy, outside and inside, the lady that welcomes you it's outstanding, in fact, explendid! We loved this place, we're surely coming back!

The location was a short 3-4 block walk into town center...situaated in a Very quiet section The grounds were lovely with beautiful manicured gardens. The breakfast changed daily and was always a delight serving healthy delicious fruits, yogurts, juice or avacado toast with cheese and tomatoes ...excellent coffee the shower had plenty of hot water and the towels were absorbent...Tv offered streaming channels Room decor was quaint with plenty of storage AND Arturo the dog was a delight!

The pillows were filled with previous dreams...Mexico needs better pillows in general not just Garden of Dreams and my pet peeve in most hotels is NO full length mirror...

Bethany and the others there were very nice. The grounds were well maintained and the breakfasts were just what we needed in the morning. Lots of coffee and fruit.
