Reviewed Aug 16, 2026It was a really great location. The pools were great, staff were extra friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Room was very spacious and had air conditioning.
The beds were hard as a rock which wasn’t great for a full week. The walls were kind of thin so you could hear everything. During the week it was fairly quiet, but on the weekend not so much.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026The staff was really accomodating and they helped with all our concerns. The room was spacious including the shower; we had one that was facing the lake. The facilities are a bit older, the jacuzzi and pool but it did work and was cleaned daily. The location was further from the malecon but not inconvenient to where you can't easily go to for dinner/food. It is a place where its best to have your own vehicle and they had free parking for it.

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026THE VIEW OF THE MOUNTAINS AND LAKE ARE LOVELY. THE GROUNDS ARE WELL KEPT UP. THE WAIT STAFF WERE ALL VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THERE WAS FOOD SERVICE ALL DAY. THERE WERE LOTS OF BIRDS AND PLANTS. YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO DINE INSIDE OR AL FRESCO. THERE IS A BAR WITH LOTS OF TVS FOR SPORTS. THE PROPERTY IS FAIRLY SECURE. THERE IS A VARIETY OF FOOD AVAILABLE. THE BREAKFAST EGGS AND OATMEAL WITH FRUIT WERE DELICIOUS THERE ARE SOME STORES AND RESTAURANTS NEARBY. THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS SAFE AND QUIET.
THE FURNITURE WAS FALLING APART. THE FIRST ROOM THEY TRIED TO GIVE ME HAD NO CURTAINS. THE BED WAS HARD AND HAD A CRINKLY COVER ON IT. THERE WAS A LOT OF TRASH BY THE LAKEFRONT. THE JACUZZI WAS BARELY WARMER THAN THE POOL, BUT FULL OF KIDS WITH TOYS MOST OF THE WEEKEND, THERE WAS MOLD/MILDEW IN THE SHOWER. THE TILES IN THE BATHROOM AND ON THE FLOOR ARE IN NEED OF BEING PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND SEALED. WHEN I MOVED THE COUCH SOMEONES T-SHIRT WAS UNDER IT. THE WALLS WERE COMPLETELY BARE IN MY ROOM, THERE WERE DIFFERENT DINING RULES FOR THE WEEKEND AND YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR A POOL TOWEL AT THE FRONT DESK. NO ONE TOLD ME ANYTHING UPON CHECK IN AND THERE WAS NO INFO AVAILABLE OR POSTED WITH EXCEPTION OF THE ADVERTISED SUNDAY BRUNCH. THE CHICKEN WITH MOLE WAS SHOE LEATHER SWIMMING IN A MOLE POOL DROWNING THE PLATE. THE VEGETABLES WERE HAPHAZARDLY CUT, SO UNEVENLY COOKED.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Die Lage ist optimal und an ruhigen Tagen außerhalb der Wochenenden geradezu meditativ. Zwei große Pools bieten viel Platz zum Schwimmen. Nur der Whirlpool war so stark mit Chlor versetzt, dass er unbenutzbar war für mich. Die Außenanlagen sind weitläufig, sehr gut gepflegt und bilden eine parkähnliche Anlage.
Das Restaurant war ok, aber nicht sehr gut. Frühstück habe ich nicht genutzt. Die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber dennoch in Ordnung und gut benutzbar. Ins Zentrum von Ajijic ist es zu Fuß etwas weit. Spätabends will man die Strecke nicht laufen und man bekommt abends schlecht ein Taxi.

Las habitaciones no tienen secador de pelo ni plancha ni frigobar. El colchón es duro. Como el alojamiento esta alejado del centro y supermercados (aprox 1km), los precios para comer y desayunar están más costosos de lo normal. El menú de comida es engañoso: pedi una pechuga de pollo de 350g y como mucho me trajeron una de 150g...reclamé y no me mi reconocieron ni compensaron. Si decides alojarte aqui, no comas ni desayunes en el hotel.

Es un hotel con instalaciones en el área de habitaciones muy viejas, el agua primero salió café, la tasa del baño estaba sucia por el agua, las camas de lo más incómodas, se escucha lo que pasa en las habitaciones de a lado y para acabarla nos tocaron vecinos borrachos.

There wasn't heat in the hotel. Extra blankets didn't help. Temperatures were between 47-65 degrees F. After day 3, I had to ask if they had a space heater. They found one but I was told to wait while they knew if it worked. They didn't want me hanging around the lobby. So I went back to my room and waited.... Hours later I went back to the lobby. There was someone new and she had no idea what I was talking about. I told her they put the heater under the counter. She looked and said "this". Yes, thank you. It was 800watts better than nothing. This hotel is in the back of a development. Which means there isn't any nearby. A car is required. No taxi standing by. Cobblestone streets and sidewalks make it difficult to walk.

Es limpio, bonito, agradable, súper tranquilo, realmente se descansa y la comida ha mejorado mucho también. El staff es muy amable. Recomendado al cien por ciento.

Reviewed Nov 12, 2025The views right on the lake are stupendous! There are two pools on the property overlooking the lake which are beautiful. The grounds are lovely, with mature trees and landscaping. There seemed to be plenty of parking, and the layout of the hotel and architecture allowed for an expansive feeling. The hotel is located in a nice residential neighborhood.
The room was large and had pretty views, however, the screens on the sliding glass doors had holes and rips in them allowing mosquitos to enter. We hated the plastic coverings on the mattress! The drapes in the room were stained and would only close by manually pulling on them.

When I booked there wasn't a lake room available so I asked if one became available could we have it. The response was yes. I asked again at check in to be told none were available. During our 12 night stay the hotel was really empty and it was obvious that lake view rooms were empty. Why did they lie to us, so disappointing. Also, maintenance seems to be lacking with broken paving slabs etc. and a lack of care in general.

Overall only good thing was where the place was. I wish we could get either money back or a discount. really not worth a visit at all.
