The staff and manager were always helpful and present with a good attitude.

Our first room was just too small and cramped for two. We were able to upgrade for a price and were happy to have done so.

We knew we had shared bathroom so no argument there but it was stated 1 was male & 1 female however they were both unisex. The wife had to get past the urinal to get to shower or toilet so we felt the shared bathroom was not acceptable

A very welcoming hotel with very professional and attentive service. Very confortable.

I only have one complaint: two days before arrival, they told me they couldn't give me the room I had booked. They offered me another one for double the price. Since there were no rooms available in any hotel in Jasper, I had to accept and pay double what I had agreed to. They should have given me the room for the same price. It wasn't my fault, and it's what other hotels do.

Geen lift, bekrompen slaapkamer ( ik werd s’nachts benauwd wakker om 3 uur en ben naar buiten gegaan en niet weer geslapen, enorm lawaai van een installatie (airco??) op het dak.

Very conveniently located in the centre of town. Nice large old fashioned style hotel, with numerous taxidermy animal heads in the reception area. .

Unfortunately the advertised in room coffee making facilities were not provided & the receptionist seemed non plus & just said she would get booking.com to amend the advert. No apology, other than to say I could come down stairs in the morning to get a free coffee from the reception area

Barely slept due to fact we can hear everything from hallway to other rooms to stairs and a fire alarm kept running plus there was a gap below the door that let hallway light in the room

Tolle Lage und sehr freundliches Personal. Das Bett war auch sehr bequem. Obwohl wir ohne Frühstück gebucht hatten, konnten wir uns an einer kleinen Kaffebar einen Becher zum mitnehmen füllen.

- Great location. - A classic hotel with an atmosphere of older days (in a good way). - Some rooms have no private bath or toilet - but we new that in advance, and the shared ones weren't bad. We could also upgrade to a room w/ a private bath for nights in which one was available. So not that bad. - The room we were upgraded to was above the night club, and we were warned about that in advance. But the nightclub only operate some of the nights, and on the night in which it operated and we were in our room - there was really very little noise, so again - not so bad, definitely much better than we feared.

- See the "what did you like" section - Also, the girl at the reception checking us in was super nice, and offered us the upgraded room for a small discount. But the lady at the desk the next day (and the days after that) wasn't that hospitable. And she denounced the discount (which, again, was small to start with, so not a big deal - just left us less happy)

Ottima colazione, albergo storico di Jasper che ha da poco cambiato proprietà. I muri raccontano un secolo di storia. Comodo in pieno centro città. Staff disponibile ed accogliente. Ampio parcheggio libero

Purtroppo solo lavandino in camera, doccia e wc nel corridoio in comune con altre stanze (2 wc per 25 stanze) ma sempre molto puliti.

Het oude en oubollige van dit hotel kun je nog charmant noemen, maar voor ons was het verblijf allerminst charmant. Na ons vertrek werd geld van onze waarborg afgehouden wegens zogenaamd “onbruikbaar geworden” bedlinnen en handdoeken. Een totaal ongeloofwaardige reden, en ondanks ons protest weigerde het management terug te betalen. Dit voelt als pure oplichting. Absoluut af te raden.

The only issues was the shared washroom, it seemed like we were sharing washroom wirh ten other rooms. So just be ready for that and you find see someone already in the washroom when you need it. And the big issue is that there is only 1 toilet and 1 shower, so you will have to wait until all the people before you are done.

Athabasca Hotel is in the heart of Jasper town so exploring was easy. Reception was welcoming and traditional in style reflecting its age (hunting trophies may not appeal to sensitive animal lovers). Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bar was also traditional but on the evening we were there was showing sport which may not appeal to all.We loved the atmosphere. I would choose to stay here if I visit Jasper again.

The Athabasca does not have lifts. We knew this and had assistance from staff with cases but people need to be aware of this. Free parking is in the back alley with a rear door access, again we found this fine though some may not. Paid parking is an alternative.

Location is in Jasper downtown and very convenient for walking. Room is very roomy.

Very noisy at night even after 1AM due to the bar on the main floor. The music base went through the building even we were on the second or top floor. Also due to the warm night and with the windows open, people talking on the bar patio made it impossible to sleep at night.

LOUD cub right underneath rooms that vibrate your whole room until 2am! It’s an older building so of course you hear a lot of noise, especially given the shared bathrooms and lots of people going in and out of rooms to use them.

Great central location in Jasper and very handy the hotel has parking onsite behind the building. Close to everything in the town and effortless check in and check out.

We booked a room with 2 double beds and private bathroom but when we arrived we were told there was a nightclub below our room that would be noisy until after 1-2am our options were put up with it or have a shared bathroom or single beds. There was no discount but best option was the single beds- very disappointed that we still had to pay such a high price.

Booked this as an emergency after original booking elsewhere had been cancelled. We knew what to expect with the shared bathrooms, both male/female bathrooms were incredibly clean and we had no issues. Rooms were fine, thankfully 2 next to each other. Location is fantastic to explore Jasper town.

Booked and paid for a room with 2 Queen beds and private bathroom but when we arrived we were told that there was a night club below our room and there would be noise until 1-2am our options to avoid the noise was take a room with shared bathroom or take a room with 2 single beds. Price for money was bad. We had a queen room with shared bathroom on the 2nd floor. 2 bathrooms for what seems like a whole floor. Not kettles or fridge. We were hiking the next day and couldn't pre pre our lunch. IIt was all clean and bed was comfortable but I had way better value for money in hostels than this hotel. If you can find an actual hostel for the same price book that.

Place was very old, but very well kept and clean. Location was good also. We were lucky to have our own bathroom.

Was not prepared to have no elevator. Our room was on the 2nd floor and had to lug several items up to the room. I am a senior so it was a bit challenging. Also didn't realize (I obviously missed this) that we'd have to share a shower and bathroom (which are all located together) with an entire floor of guests. There is no separation for the men/women's bathroom as well. If someone is having a shower, you have to wait if you have to go to the bathroom. We were lucky to get parking which is in an alleyway behind the hotel, not much room back there. I had requested (after I had booked a room with a queen bed because that was all it showed when I first booked) a room with 2 beds. The response was they would charge an additional $100 for this...was not in my budget. Also there was not breakfast included and that point was made very clear when we checked in. Most of the hotels/motels we stayed in on our journey (from Ontario to BC), had at least a basic coffee, muffin, juice, sometimes more.

Our room was above some ventilation systems and the noise was terrible all night...windows closed or open is the same. No elevator, so for larger suitecases not good for tour back.

Worse experience!!! The room was right above the bar and we including my two kids could not sleep for 3 hours. While at the booking time it was mentioned that room may be noisy but it did not communicate how bad it would be . This is totally unacceptable!!! There should have been clear communication about it stating that you can not sleep during the prime sleep hours ! I am going to file dispute for it !!!

The room was incredibly hot even with the ceiling fan on and the shared bathrooms couldn't be locked, which we are not used to. Only one hook to hang clothes on.

Veel lawaai en er is een bedrag van E 408,24 op mijn credit card ingehouden (gereserveerd) zonder dat ik dat nu terug kan krijgen. Dit, terwijl ik de kamer gewoon heb betaald met Euro 283,81. Dit ruikt gewoon naar oneerlijkheid bij dit hotel.

Hotel Level Two has 30 rooms, averaging two people per room, for a total of 60 people, but only two washrooms (each with a shower and toilet). Washroom are mixed-gender. One of the washroom doors cannot be locked from the inside. You swipe your card to enter , only to find people of different genders using the toilet inside – a truly shocking sight. Because the lock is broken those inside cannot lock it. (and it didn't just break recently; the hotel seems completely neglecting this issue) Is it really that difficult to install a working lock? Why is it mixed-gender? I've never seen a hotel like this! Don't choose this hotel; it will make you feel extremely unsafe!

Service très gentil, restaurant dans l’établissement, avec une carte étendue. parties communes agréables. localisation parfaite. Parking gratuit. Le restaurant nous a fait le petit déjeuner qui nous faisait plaisir (des tartines beurrées) en deux minutes et super gentiment bien que cela ne soit pas à la carte. Décoration kitsch mais agréable en vérité et qui change plaisamment des décorations convenues branchées qu’on trouve partout et qui fichent le bourdon. On a l’impression d’être dans un décor de lucky luke, mais transporté dans dans les années 80.

Pas de salle de bains, mais la salle de bains partagée était tres propre. Pas d’ascenseur donc portage de valises sur deux étages. L’établissement m’a indiqué qu’un ascenseur était prévu à l’avenir de même qu’une rénovation qui permettra des salles de bain dans toutes les chambres. Ceci fait, l’hôtel sera top.

The property is very central, the bedroom is nice and clean and the common areas are curious. It seems to go back to the ‘70s.

The service was not particularly friendly, especially compared to the exceptional hospitality we experienced throughout Canada. During our stay, the staff never came across as especially welcoming or courteous. Breakfast is not included (although this is not clearly stated), and the selection is quite limited.

No AC in the room. This should be mentioned in the title and not the fine print. The staff didn't have the table fans as well. Luckily the night in Jasper was cool and keeping the windows open helped but that also brought in noise from the streets as some restaurants are open until 12AM. The check in process was very slow as well. Waiting 20 mins to check in while focusing on fixing the printer doesn't leave a good impression. Also the hotel didn't have an elevator but the staff was helpful in offering to carry the bags to the room.

The hotel is too old to be renovated, I think. The noises of water on and off from different rooms was extremely loud, especially during the night. Too noisy to sleep tight. The curtain can not block the street light during the night. You also couldn't get up late in the morning, coz the housekeeping knocked other rooms and asked for cleaning can wake you up easily.

Stickiges sehr kleines Zimmer neben dem Gemeinschaftsbad, deshalb sehr laut durch das kommen und gehen und das benutzen der Armaturen. Selbst die Eiswürfelmaschine hat man nachts noch gehört. An durchgehenden und erholsamen Schlaf war nicht zu denken. Lüften war nur kurz möglich, da auf dem Dach die Lüuftungsanlagen dröhnte. Wäre das ein 100 CAD Motel gewesen, wäre das verschmerzbar - für 230 CAD war das Preisleistungsverhältnis aber unterirdisch. Meidet es, wenn ihr nicht unbedingt in Jasper übernachten müsst.

It was a cute hotel, and was central to downtown so it was easy to walk around. Free parking too which was a plus. The staff were friendly and the room had a beautiful view.

I wish the room had a mini fridge or a coffee maker considering the room was $400 for the night. The parking lot would probably benefit from having reserved guest stalls as well.

It was clean and there was a sink in the room.

The bathroom facilities. The fact that you could be on the toilet and a stranger could come in and shower at the same time was beyond what was expected when told it was a shared bathroom. There was no privacy. Even the way the way the toilet was installed left gaps at the hinges so you felt like you had to hide for privacy.

The cleanliness - it was clean for an old building, we had a shared bathroom which was very clean as well.

The front people are really nice. My mom is 82 year old. They helped us carry our luggage’s to the second floor. I requested the front desk people to switch a better view room. They did it for me. They were nice and polite. The hotel is very clean.

No lift or assistance with luggage to reach upstairs room. Room was dated. Little room for suitcases which made movement hard. Maintenance needed to be carried out on the room. Definitely overpriced for what was offered Charged deposit fee of $200 and then charged twice for room which took days to reimburse.
