Staff were incredibly helpful, lovely place to stay. The food was wonderful.
Our second stay in this lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the food in the restaurant is superb.
Little gem of a hotel, great staff, clean everywhere, super food in the restaurant, totally recommend this hotel, will 100% return again on our next visit to Oxford.
Beautiful manor property with plenty of parking, very friendly staff and great breakfast.. If I had one niggle it was to do with the service charges added to the bill without prior knowledge…
Relaxing and calm environment
Excellent hotel in an excellent location near Oxford. We wish we had been allocated a room in the main house as it was pouring with rain and we had to run from the Coach House to the main house for breakfast and dinner. The Lavender restaurant was exceptional, decor and food, pricey but worth it. Staff were very friendly.
Parking good. Nice bar area . Bfast ok not outstanding . Evening meal in restaurant very good .
A beautiful country hotel in a parkland setting. Very friendly staff and well appointed luxury rooms. Excellent food in the restaurant.
Amazing,would highly recommend
Very nice stay for our anniversary. Beautiful decor and also grounds with nice walks. Thanks
Excellent 2 night stay. Property is fantastic. Set in well kept grounds. Easy reach of Oxford and Bicester.
Staying in the junior suite for a single night, the room was very nice. Nice big space and some quirky furniture you’d expect in a ‘suite’ unfortunately no aircon and sunshine had been slowly cooking the room throughout the day. Facilities were good, the estate itself is stunning, very classic ‘estate’ for the part of the world. But felt like a square peg in a round hole for certain aspects being a hotel. Breakfast was a bit squashed in due to the lack of space, but the food itself was very good. An annoying slight sour taste in the mouth on check out. Agreed check out at 11, quite literally 11.03 we get a phone call saying we need to check out. To then get to reception where we check out to join a long queue for 10/15 mins. We could hear the other rooms being rung as we left our room. Staff felt a little robotic, pleasant enough but missing that bit extra. Overall it wouldn’t take much to be exceptional, and maybe a slightly harsh critique but it was a suite we paid for.
Excellent and comfortable stay. Lovely room (17) with super comfy bed and view over the garden. Well appointed. Would definitely stay again.
Good hotel, comfortable rooms. Beautiful, quiet.
Really great place to stay, will definitely be back!
The Weston Manor Hotel was quite honestly a disappointment. There was no AC available in the rooms and during the current heatwave it was absolutely unbearable. We were in the coach house which is poorly ventilated (there is one small window nowhere near the bed) and it was boiling hot. They provided a fan that did very little. I just don’t think it’s acceptable to be a 4-star hotel and not have AC in the rooms. Furthermore, there were no amenities like ear buds, cotton pads, shower caps etc which are a basic requirement. The worst part was there was no mini fridge and so the water bottles provided were boiling hot and not drinkable. The breakfast was also very limited, the hot buffet portion was cold, and the waiting staff were brash and rude. Overall, I was very disappointed with this experience and would not stay here again.
Holy smokes. What a place this is! Romantic for couples, quaint, historical . Lovely bar and food. Fabulous staff and breakfast. I think Maude still looks around the property as our tv kept turning itself on after I’d turned it off . Definitely go to Weston Manor
Beautiful building and bedroom in the coach house. My husband and I both noticed the chemical smell on the pillows & bed linen. Unfortunately I have sensitive skin and because of the chemicals used in the bed linen did not get a good nights sleep. The towels had dirty marks on them. The breakfast was great - one day was buffet because there were so many guests, the other a menu choice as it wasn’t as busy. Strange as we were expecting menu choice both days.
Beautiful hotel and wonderful gardens
This country house hotel has been beautifully restored and the feature room that my wife and I stayed in was lovely, with an extremely comfortable and large bed. Perhaps the standout feature of this hotel is not the great building and decor but the brilliant Lavender restaurant. A small menu contained some amazingly tasty dishes and we enjoyed a fabulous dinner with views over the lawns. All in all a lovely night away. Thank you
Completely blown away by the incredible building and grounds of the Manor. Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Can't recommend this place enough.
Absolutely amazing right from the very first sight of the hotel until the final checkout, best hotel we have stayed in , in the UK
The bed had all hair from either previous people that stayed in the room or the cleaners hairs. Was disgusted at the hygiene. We had been given another room that stunk and had some weird person trying to open the room door. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was barely any staff at night to deal with anything.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Staff so friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back
Lovely hotel, lovely staff. Restaurant was good but not excellent.
Beautiful manor, gardens and rooms. Very clean, bed was very comfortable, service was perfect! Will definitely come back!
This hotel genuinely is superb.....would be a 10 out of 10 as everything is extremely impressive, its a beautiful setting, lovely grounds, staff were wonderful...but for 2 points...the Upgraded Delux room we have doesnt have a fridge. Small complaint but you should have one at this price. Secondly the seating (in rooms, the bar and other areas inside open to the public) had the same bizarre (slightly tacky) seats?? The hotel and rooms are adorned with amazing antiques and antique furniture, but the seats just stand out and really didnt fit with the rest of the 'image' the hotel portrays... These 2 issues aside its a 9.8 out of 10 from me, would definitely go back its a fantastic place to stay.
Lovely grade II listed Manor House. Unfortunately due to the poor weather we were unable to enjoy the extensive grounds. The whole place is well decorated and clean but keeps many period features including wood panels and stone work. Service was first class and the food excellent. I can highly recommend this venue.
The hotel was amazing.
The hotel grounds and building are lovely. The staff we encountered in the restaurant, evening meal and breakfast, were very welcoming and helpful. The room we had was superb. The evening meal was expensive but excellent. Only downside was the extra bed policy. It is mentioned on the app but as we booked for 3 we didn’t anticipate the 3rd bed to be an ‘extra’ £50.
The hotel is beautiful with good amenities, a good breakfast vegetarianoptionsby request, and well-maintained grounds. However, the room was very noisy, as we could hear people in the corridor and on the stairs. Music from the bar played until 11 p.m., and footsteps from the rooms above were quite loud.
Fantastic
Coat stay great food
Wonderful hotel
A beautiful hotel with spacious, comfortable bedrooms. And the food in the restaurant is superb - definitely worth a visit.
Beautiful stay and very impressed. It was a treat from my partner for my birthday. The only feedback I would like note was the rooms were very hot at night time. Everything else was amazing.
Great classic hotel very friendly and helpful staff very good food , drinks a bit pricey
lovely hotel - very comfortable room although it was very hot and the temperature was difficult to regulate. dinner was good (service was a little haphazard and not particularly friendly). breakfast was excellent. my only negative is the that piped music playing downstairs was audible in my room (until 12.15am) which disturbed my sleep. I would definitely stay again. the hotel had made a huge effort with its Christmas decorations.
A lovely hotel with an award winning luxury staycation
Staff was exceptional
We had only booked in for an overnight stay en route to pick up our cruise ship at Portsmouth but unfortunately there was a technical problem with the ship so the hotel were marvelous in accomodating us for an extra night. We could stay in the same ground floor room.Staff were most courteous and could not do enough for you.I would highly recommend Weston Manor hotel.
Very beautiful hotel and had a lovely time. Room greet. Breakfast great Only negating was a 12.50% service charge at the bar. Did not know about this until paid at checkout Would definitely stay there again
Very nice stay … restaurant very good
Photos don’t do this place justice. Just an awesome hotel.
Amazing stay! The room was stunning with befitting character and had one of the nicest and largest en-suite bathrooms we’ve encountered. The manor and grounds were a delight. The breakfast was exceptional. Topping it all off are the staff! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
5 star stay!! Can’t recommend this place enough. Was a true Manor House stay. The setting and grounds are fabulous. Great history of the home too. Excellent restaurant on site.
Excellent manor. It was so good we returned after 5 days to stay another night. Loved it.
Property was lovely and clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is great. Have booked to return.
Great property.
We stayed in a Junior Suite on the top floor of the main house. Lovely room but lots of stairs and no lift, which I don't think is clearly explained on the hotels.com website or app. During a previous stay, we had a fantastic dinner in the main restaurant, but the menu seemed different this time and so we decided to give it a miss. Breakfast was great. Nice and hot, a decent choice but not much of everything. The staff were doing their best to keep replenish anything that had run out. When I checked in, the reception area and bar was packed with people attending a party. Would have been nice to have been made aware ahead of our stay. Overall, this is a small and very high quality place that feels more like a private home than a hotel. Would certainly recommend for couples, and can't wait to return for a third stay.
WOW! What a PHENOMENAL place to stay! As you drive into the long drive, one feels as though you are transported back the 13th Century! Service was OUTSTANDING! Free buffet breakfast was amazing! Great nights sleep - sunken bath tub to soak away any muscle fatigues. Grounds are beautiful...HIGHLY recommend to book your next vacation at Weston Manor.
Never never again will we stay at this hotel. Beautiful Manor House from outside but Can’t open the windows, so the room gets utterly hot and airless. Simply awful. No curtains at all, you have to close the shutters which makes the room even more unbearable to enjoy. If the shutter are kept opened then every time A car arrives it lit up the room like airport runway. Requested a quiet room and was given a room facing the car park. There was dozens of vintage cars and they were loud, unpleasant to hear v early in the morning with v selfish drivers. Noisy old ugly cars. Mentioned to the reception who basically ask me to get a life. I mentioned how hot the room was and she asked me to read the hotels web site properly. Bit what I expected. Breakfast was messy. The manor is stunning but the decor is OTT. Felt like I was in Dubai. Not what we were looking for for the weekend in the country. All lights outside are switched off in the evening and if you are staying in on of the room next door to the main Manor House then you have to walk in the darkness. My inlaws ( 78 y old) had to find experience it. We then brought it to the reception team attention and a very silly excuse was given. Something to do with complaints from the villagers and the light. The village btw is located far away the Manor House. Anyway , could not sleep at all it was like a sauna and in the morning those horrible noisy cars utter nightmare mate. Stay away!!
Superb hotel, very friendly staff. Very much deserves a 10/10
Wonderful! Probably the best hotel i have stayed in all round, amazing setting, lots of parking outside the front door, beautiful building with quirky decor, fabulous staff, great food, great prices, comfortable bed,i will definitely be back
The room was very comfortable, well equipped. Staff lovely, and very tasty breakfast.
Lovely old manor house with lovely garden
I loved the hotel and our room was delightful. The breakfast was good but could have been better. Staff were very helpful and polite. We stayed for one evening meal- I was not a fan. Certain pairings did not sit well with me. Both starter and main meal were very rich. Again staff were very attentive and polite. Would i return? Yes I would but I would eat elsewhere I’m afraid.
We had a lovely room at the top level of the building, it was very spacious and was very in fitting with the manor experience, loved it! The staff were very friendly through out our stay and were very accommodating. They seemed to do multiple roles, e.g. from reception to bar, etc. which was fine, just to note it. We dined at the manor one evening. The food was quite tasty and the service weas great. However, I felt we were coraled to a back dining room to make way for a wedding party in the main dining room. It wasn't a terrible dining room, but I felt somehow like I was short changed. Breakfast was only OK, nothing to comaplain about, but not wow either. We drank at the bar both evenings, it was very quiet, not sure what other guests were doing as they weren't to be seen! We took our drinks to the garden and it was a nice, tranquil experience. On the second evening we went to a fabulous Japanese restaurant in Biceste, Mizu Japanese Ikakaya, felt very authentic. It rounded off our visit to the Bicester area quite nice. I'd stay again.
Hotel beautiful and staff amazing. The photos and description do not do it justice at all.
Made us really welcome the service was excellent cannot fault our stay will be back thank you
Food was a little overpriced and not a lot of choice. So went elsewhere unfortunately
Regular visitor. Wonderful room in an excellent hotel. One drawback from previous visits - breakfast now self-service rather than individually served. A pity. Otherwise, up to the highest standards and great value for money.
Check in - we had paid in advance but it still took ages. Room was in the attic and final flight of stairs was dangerous. Room was an odd style. Stone floor without rugs or underfloor heating. TV bracket fixed so could only view from one place in the room. Ceiling was 'styled', one result of which were lights highlighting an awful lot of cobwebs. A beam running over the bed went into an exposed brick wall above the pillow end. This had not been filled or sealed. Irritations over night from light: big gap under door to room, flickering artifical flame, ceiling 'alarm' which flashed every few moments. Very limited range of tea and coffee provided in the room - no caffeine free option of either. Provided toiletries were unexpectedly poor standard. Difficult to be sure, but frankly could have been washing up liquid. TV provision was unacceptably restricted. A variety of free to view channels but all were watch live only - not even BBC i player was provided. Breakfast. The cooked food was generally tasty but experience disappointing. Buffet was very limited, for example the only fruit were whole apples and pears. We waited a long time for hot drinks to arrive and at the same time ordered our hot food. After a few minutes the waitress returned and announced that I was not allowed more than one al la carte option. I had only ordered scrambled egg and porridge made with water. Eventually a manager came to the table and reluctantly agreed due to my dietary restrictions.
Hotel set in beautiful grounds, peaceful & relaxing. Room was cosy with good facilities but could benefit from a self in the ensuite for make up etc. Breakfast ok, hot food could be replenished sooner. Varied cold buffet selection, a few more pastries to choose from would be nice but apart from that very good. .
Lovely hotel, spacious and very clean room, friendly and helpful staff, an excellent restaurant and lovely grounds.
We liked everything about the property but unfortunately we could only looked at the lovely gardens through the windows due to the weather. Would highly recommend this hotel
Lovely grounds
Very nice hotel. Comfortable room and bed. Coffee, tea and biscuits too. Breakfast was excellent, more fresh fruit choice would have good. 10 minutes in car to Bicester Village. Definitely would like to stay there again.
Everything was great apart from the temperature of the room which was boiling. They seemed to have an ongoing issue with the radiators which the concierge noted on check out.
Excellent hotel, first class service. We’ve stayed before pre covid under previous ownership and it was very nice but now under new ownership with a major refurbishment it is outstanding. We had the new Taster Menu which was incredible, amazing tastes, flavours and textures. Strongly recommend. Overall fantastic hotel, incredible restaurant and also a very fine wine cellar.
Excellent hotel, first class service. We’ve stayed before pre covid under previous ownership and it was very nice but now the new owners have invested heavily it is outstanding. Lovely hotel, nice breakfast, easy parking, friendly and attentive staff. Very convenient for Oxford and Bicester Village. Nearby village pleasant for walking around too.
This was such an amazing property , beautifully decorated Felt welcome as soon as we arrived , staff amazing and Lisa went above and beyond Fantastic breakfast. Beautiful gardens Would of welcome a leaflet on how to work coffee machine , spa bath !!! Would highly recommend staying . Thank you for making our stay special
This is a beautiful property which has the potential to be amazing. Our stay was fine despite the fact we had the lowest range of room which was up a lot of stairs but apart from a very small bathroom was very comfortable. The shower was the best but there was so little room for storage that a shelf was really needed in the bathroom. An excellent breakfast was included in the price of the room.
Great Hotel and wonderful grounds. Both visits were excellent. Staff are wonderful, always willing to go that extra mile and without hesitation and so happy :-). We ate in the restaurant for dinner and it was impressive, hats off. I was looking forward to a menu for breakfast but second visit it was just a buffet which was ok. We stayed both times in the champagne suite was perfect and very spacious. If there was any negatives, the bar area is small with no ambient lighting. Also the hotel boasts truly English…so why the gloss black and gold furniture from the UAE.There is a lot of it. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit with the heritage. Shame, perhaps the owner can rethink this one. All in all we will always return.
The hotel is an impressive building and the room we had (No 6) was very nice. The food in the restaurant was extremely good. Whilst not a criticism, a hotel of this standard might offer fresh milk for tea in the room (either small room fridge or as a small flask at reception) as the long life pods are not nice and other quality hotels usually offer such a facility (as at he Prince of Burford, where we stayed on Sunday night). Overall a good experience and offers accessibility to many Cotswold and Oxon towns.
A beautifully furnished character hotel with superb cleanliness and staff. We had an evening meal which was probably more than we would normally pay, but it was excellent in all respects. The hotel cannot be blamed for inconsiderate guests. We had trouble sleeping due to what we assumed was a couple having a domestic problem which dragged on and on including repeatedly blowing a car horn in the early hours, speaking loudly and slamming doors.
This is a lovely hotel. It is how a hotel should be with lovely little touches in your room.Welcome card, biscuits, chocolate and both tea and a coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was really delicious. This was my second time here!!
Stayed here as a couple in January for 1 night and experienced extremely friendly and professional service from start to finish. We booked a junior suite which had recently been renovated to a very high standard. Would have liked a mini bar or a fridge, but our room was only a short walk to the small but cosy bar area. Prices in the restaurant were on the high side, but the food (we both had beef) was amazing! Would definitely recommend to couples looking for a quiet relaxing break. We shall certainly be back.
We had great time, the hotel is beautiful especially if you like old buildings. The staff from the handyman to reception staff were attentive and helpful at all times.
The property is amazing. Luxury bedding and beds resulting in a very contented sleep. Staff All really friendly couldn't do enough for you. Evening meal very mediocre, blue cheese sauce not brought with steak had to wait along time for sauce by which time steak was cold needed reheating. No Chantilly cream with desert as on menu . Would I stay again yes but would I dine their no .
Very pleasant stopover stay for one night in a comfortable room with a lovely dinner at the hotel and excellent breakfast in the morning
Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Close to Bicester village if you want to go shopping or a base to go elsewhere. We stayed overnight so didn’t get to enjoy their dinner or see the grounds. Thank you for a memorable stay.
