right in front of the beach, decent breakfast with waffles, omelette and fruit. The volunteers are great and there's an event every day that lets guests socialize and have fun. They also organize snorkelling tours for 200k and free yoga. I had the private room and the bed was perfect for me - other guests told me they loved the shared rooms. Happy hour is great for some cocktails before heading out.

La localisation idéale, tout près de la mer, avec les restaurants facilement accessibles à pied. La piscine très sympa. La chambre familiale était propre et confortable.

Le petit déjeuner était un peu frustrant, car ce qui était inclus était très simple alors qu'il y avait disponible à la carte des plats bien plus appétissants.

A gem in Gili Air, superb location next to turtle beach. We ended up snorkeling every day, our room even had 2 SUP vouchers included. The pool was big enough and kids loved to jump from the upper floor. There is specials every evening, a small bar offers delicious cocktails. The family room includes an excellent breakfast directly at the beach restaurant. Besides we got a bottle of wine + drink vouchers!

I have no words to describe our time here. I didn't want to leave . It's immaculate, fun, beautiful, and the staff are just unbelievable. The island is so clean and I basically cried leaving.

Tutto meraviglioso, dalla camera, alle attività che si possono fare con loro, colazione ottima coi piedi sulla sabbia, anche i pasti da loro sono ottimi, fanno lezione di yoga tutte le mattine, nella spiaggia davanti abbiamo visto le tartarughe.

Not the cheapest in terms of Hostels, but worth it.

The atmosphere in this place is fab. Lots of opportunity to meet people if you want you through the group chat and the communal areas/events. The place is very pretty and breakfast is great. The location is brilliant. We were swimming with turtles within 5 mins of getting in the sea. We actually stayed an extra night here. Shower is hot and powerful.

If you are a light sleeper, you could hear noise easily from outside when people woke early to watch the sunrise etc. It’s a hostel though and I am glad we stayed here. In the evening there was no noise.

The hostel is really good. The bed is comfortable. The room I was in had only 3 beds, so there were not too many people in one room.The place is overall good. Did the turtle snorkelling tour with them.

Een van de leidinggevende ’Safa’ is een super vriendelijke behulpzame vrouw. Ze is erg professioneel als je haar nodig hebt en het lijkt er op dat zei dit hotel draaiende houd. Bedankt Safa! Verder is het een erg leuk hotel waar Hostel en Hotel gasten goed samen gaan. Er wordt ook super veel georganiseerd waardoor je goed verwend wordt als solo gast! Bedankt! 🙏🏻

Super beliggenhed. Roligt, nordligt på østsiden. Lige til stranden - vi hoppede i sammen med skildpadderne fra morgenen. Fantastisk. God atmosfære. Fælles arrangementer. Hyggeligt miljø. Dejligt morgenmad på stranden hver morgen - bliver ikke bedre.

Lidt slidt - billederne snyder lidt. Boede i en bungalow - trappen er meget stejl, men det gik. Måtte bede om rengøring - eller kom det ikke.

Nice location right by a very good snorkelling spot, nice and spacious beds with lots of privacy, cool hangout & pool area.

The location is fantastic, lots of great restaurants near by. Snorkelling outside the hotel was beautiful! Lots of well cared for cats at the hotel. The bar had some good cocktails and events happening every day.

The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, the shower often ran out or didn’t have hot water and the rooms were not cleaned often enough.

We had such an amazing time at Tipsea Turtle ! We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but we had to extend our stay because we loved it. The volunteers were so nice, Vyla's yoga classes were fantastic, Katie was the life of the party and Andre was very helpful, they all contributed to this very friendly atmosphere which makes meeting other travellers so easy. The pool was so nice, there were plenty of activities and the waffles for breakfast were wonderful. We would go there again without a doubt.

The lights outside don't turn off at night so just bring a sleeping mask.

Sauberes Hostel mit bequemen Betten und vielen freiwilligen Aktivitäten, bei denen man andere Reisende kennenlernen kann. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Die Zimmer sind allerdings sehr klein und dunkel, die Toiletten eng. Der Poolbereich könnte teilweise renoviert werden.

We had a lot of fun at Tipsea Turtle. The location is excellent, right on the beach with turtles regularly grazing just off the shore. It's also a brilliant place to watch the sunrise. There's plenty going on at the hostel to keep you entertained and we loved socialising with the other guests, despite being twice their age and with two kids in tow!

The location was excellent. The care of the cats was admirable. The staff kept everyone up to date on group activities. The bed was excellent, very comfortable indeed.

Breakfast was ok, acceptable for a hostel i suppose. Our bed sheets were not changed for the entire stay and no approach to clean the room except when we asked for a broom to sweep out the sand. Not enough bikes and not complimentary was disappointing. The pricing of drinks and excursions was above the islands average which seemed odd given the hostel status, young backpackers on a budget.

La fantastic actividad social que te crean para hacer amigos es muy buena, siempre hay algo que hacer y el personal tiene muy buen rollo y te hacen sentir del grupo desde el primer momento. La habitacion privada estaba muy limpia, era moderna y la cama muy blandita. Justo delante está la playa con tortugas. Nos dió pena tenernos que ir. Repetiriamos sin duda

Comfortable family room. Was clean and had a cute balcony to chill. We were opposite reception but the room was quiet. Breakfast was nice - fresh fruits, eggs, waffles and they arranged snorkeling boat trips - well worth it. Yoga most days was great. Lots of activities planned every day if you want.

Room windows were lovely and big but as it was open to public walkway had to keep curtains closed. Not a big issue for us as we were out all day.

The location is fantastic, especially if you want to snorkel with sea turtles. The sunrise on the east side of the island is absolutely beautiful. I also loved the community atmosphere: beach clean-ups, shared dinners, painting activities, and plenty of opportunities to meet other travelers while still having space for yourself. The staff were always friendly and welcoming. The property combines a hostel, dive center, and beachfront restaurant, making everything very convenient. My daughter especially loved the cats around the property. The area is quiet, and renting snorkeling equipment, bicycles, or electric scooters is easy and affordable nearby.

This place is definitely more suited to backpackers than travelers looking for extra comfort. While it is affordable and relatively clean by local standards, I personally found that my expectations have changed over time. The breakfast was exactly the same every day (pancakes, vegetable omelet, and fruit), which became repetitive. Our room was located right next to the reception, so we had to keep the curtains closed most of the time for privacy. The pool seemed more suitable for diving practice than for relaxing or swimming. I was also not comfortable using the water refill stations, as they did not appear particularly hygienic. Additionally, the beach has many coral fragments, so water shoes are recommended for sensitive feet.

Man sitzt nicht besonders schön vor dem Zimmer, direkt am Weg in das Hauptgebäude. Nur ein Stuhl zum Sitzen.

Stämningen, rummet var stort och perfekt för familjen. Barnen gillade frukosten. Personalen och aktiviteterna som erbjöds.

I had a really great stay here. The dorm room is quite small, but it is extremely well designed. The beds are very comfortable, the sheets are clean and good quality, and each bed has its own light and storage space underneath with an electronic lock, which is very practical. The atmosphere is warm and social, and I was extremely well welcomed by the staff, who were always available and helpful. The common area is large, beautiful and very relaxing, with different spaces to chill, talk or work. The pool is also very pleasant, and there are activities organized for guests. It’s also possible to rent bicycles directly there. The location is also very pleasant and convenient. The shower areas were also very clean, and the water was always hot. The toilets are really small though, which makes it a bit uncomfortable to get in and out. The breakfast was honestly amazing — waffles, eggs, fruits, and very generous portions. I even could ask for more. There is air conditioning in the dorm, and despite the small room, everything felt comfortable and optimized. We were only three people in the room, with separated beds divided by walls, which gave a bit more privacy. The only thing to know is that the dorms are close to the common area, where there is music until around 10pm. But if people in your room are respectful and quiet, you can have a very good night’s sleep.

Malhonnêteté et manque de sens morale. Un établissement qui en dit déjà long sur son éthique professionnelle. Suite à un problème de ferry reliant Nusa Penida de Gili Air, je n’ai pas pu me rendre sur l’île (conditions météorologiques non optimales). Ils doivent bien connaître ce problème et donc jouer avec le fait qu’ils ne veulent absolument pas faire preuve de compréhension afin d’empocher l’argent sans procéder à un quelconque remboursement même partiel. J’ai fait deux réclamations via le site booking, qui a tout mis en œuvre pour les raisonner, mais la encore refus. Au vu de leur réaction non commerciale et humainement discutable, je ne recommande absolument pas de séjourné dans cet établissement. (Je précise que cela fait plus d’un an que je voyage et qu’il m’est arrivé peut-être une ou deux fois d’être confronté à une situation similaire et qu’à chaque fois les établissements ont fait preuve de bonne foi et d’honnêteté)

Very lively hostel. Met a lot of people and made friends. Ended up staying more time. Gili Air calls you in and its hard to leave. Great and friendly staff.

It was a bit nosy for me, because I was in a more chilled vibe and not party vibe.

Es gibt gerade eine Baustelle, die meiner Ansicht nach den Pool unbrauchbar machr. Es ist super laut und staubt wie sonst was - Vielleicht habe ich auch einen sehr schlechten Zeitpunkt erwischt. Sie scheinen schnell zu arbeiten, damit es fertig wird. Bin daher nach einem Tag abgereist. Die Leute dort waren nett aber mir hat es abgesehen davon ehrlich nicht gefallen. War nichts für mich.

Great please, with great people and really close to the turtle point. We hat great time there!

Le personnel était accueillant et toujours disponible. La chambre était propre tout comme les espaces communs. Le petit déjeuner inclus était très bien (gaufres, œuf et fruits) et il y a une très bonne ambiance. Je recommande sans hésiter!

Il faut prévoir une vingtaine de minutes de marche pour s’y rendre à partir du port, mais ça se fait très bien :)

El desayuno

Por primera vez en indonesia el personal (no todos), me pareció descortés. La persona que estuvo mayormente en la recepción era soberbio y como mi ingles no es bueno, no mostraba mucha predisposición por explicarse. La verdad que por el precio que pagué esperaba mucho mas. La habitación era literalmente un hueco sin luz natural ni ventilación, y el olor a humedad era insoportable de a ratos. Las sábanas parecían sucias, y en un momento quisieron arreglar el aire acondicionado y todo el polvillo que había cayo sobre las camas y así quedó.

The accommodation was very close to the beach.

Our room was next to the entrance, so it was noisy. We couldn't close the curtains because then everyone would have entered the room, so we didn't have any natural light for the 4 days. They stored our bikes next to our door, so we had to constantly go over them. The staff was not friendly at all. Breakfast was the same every morning, eggs and waffles.

Everything was amazing. Stayed in a bungalow and also in premium dorm, and both super nice and comfortable. They had nice activities and good vibes, very chill. Breakfast is quite good. I walked there from the port, is very easy and you could walked everywhere in the island.

It was amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and ready to help, it was super easy to meet people and there were activities every night that you could join if you wanted to!

The dorms were 3 people dorms which was surprisingly nice, it didn’t at all block you from meeting people as everything else was so social

The proximity to turtle point

Too noisy for me, even if I had a double room I could hear the people laughing at the bar also late in the evening, I didnt like the atmosphere I prefer quieter places

Location near beach and many good cafes & restaurants. Turtles galore eating in the grass just off the shore each morning. Friendly and helpful staff. Water dispenser with hot & cold water nice to have. The waffles, fruit and omelette was a nice breakfast, but it would be better if it was switched every other day with something else, as after 3 mornings of the same thing it was a bit boring - but I was able to get nice avo toast at Alibaba nearby.

The Deluxe Suites are in the entry lane of the property before the reception. There is no “terrace” - the 50K rental bicycles get parked right there in front of your door - and no privacy as it is the entry way, so we had to keep our curtains closed. When we pointed this all out - that the room was not as advertised with a “terrace with garden views”, Eriel was great in responding and checking with manager who allowed us to move to a Double Room and get a refund of the difference. The Double Room is basically the same inside, and further back behind breakfast area, but cost 400K less - so it is the better choice.

Tipsea Turtle is right on the beach, it has a fantastic pool with a dive platform which my kids loved! The room was clean, and the staff was friendly and always smiling! The snorkeling right out front was amazing so many turtles!

I loved my stay at the hostel! It’s very well located (right in front of the beach), clean, with comfortable beds, good air conditioning, good showers, and great staff. The hostel organizes various activities during the week, yet it’s still a chill and quiet place. The yoga classes and the breakfast are highlights as well!

Our favourite favourite place to stay on Gili Air! The breakfast (omg - waffles!!!) the location, the comfy beds, how quiet it is (especially considering it’s a hostel!! It’s still one of the quietest places I’ve stayed on the island.) Our favourite places to eat are right next door, the paddle boards to rent - just a fabulous time for the whole family!! Lexy and the staff take such good care of us and always make us feel like we’re returning to our home away from home.
