Secluded yet close to business hubs. Hunter, at a very late stage, took our order and served it on hot plates as soon as as we arrived which was after 21:00. Lovely gesture. The Koi’s are huge!!! Easily mesmerized.

Lovely setting with a long drive it’s own wildlife. Love patio area and outdoor seating and the interior very intimate and very homely. Rooms are clean and well equipped.

Everything at Rasmus is always exceptionally good, from the staff, to the rooms as well as the food. We usually arrive late when coming from Limpopo for work in Pretoria and we always stay at Rasmus. We have never been disappointed.

Great location and fantastic staff

We booked 4 rooms with friends and family for one night, this place is really a gem and all the staff from the security, the cleaning staff, the manager, the waiters, everyone was really so pleasant and helpful. The location is also very nice, we originally thought it might be noisy been close to busy roads, but it is surrounded by trees and the bush you almost don't hear any cars, also the game walking around make you feel that you out of the city, but there are many restaurants and shops within a few km. As we attended a function and then a dinner the eve, we used taxis of which there were plenty close by so never had to wait long. The breakfast was also good value for money and very nicely prepared. We will definitely be back and can strongly recommend them, you really feel if you out somewhere else and do get much more than just a normal guest house would offer - well done The Rasmus

There was no prior communication that the breakfast is served at 08:00 on holidays. I would not have booked the place if that information was available here on bookings. Even on our check-in we were not told about the breakfast starting at 08:00 on holidays. We only found out in the morning when we were ready at 07:00

The venue was beautiful and incredibly pristine. It has an elegant and rich feel to it that made us feel like our choice of venue for our anniversary was worthwhile and special. The rooms were very comfortable and well-kitted out. We stayed here for our one-year anniversary, and plan to make it an annual tradition, given how excellent the venue was.

The breakfast was very nice, and I don't have anything negative to say about it. It was pretty standard stuff, but nothing spectacular. I had the French toast, and my wife had the full English. A venue of this quality could up its game by replacing the regular white-bread French toast with brioche and perhaps making the full English a bit fuller. That being said, it was still very good. The muesli and yogurt were a nice touch, and their local honey was delicious.

The location is superb, a real hidden gem. The security is next level, as 2 women we felt very secure. The front of house reception was warm and the attention to detail was excellent. The room was perfect, little touches of luxury everywhere. We had dinner in the dining room. Phillip is an absolute gem - ask him for a dessert recommendation - you won't be disappointed.

We always love staying at The Rasmus, but this time the restaurant was closed and we couldn't even order a black coffee. Our AC stopped working at night and we tried to phone the telephone numbers provided and searched for staff, but we couldn't reach anybody.

The AC error code indicated that it had no gas and there was no help available.

It was in the City area but felt like we were on a farm! No noise and the Bird Life was amazing to hear! Very safe to stay, security very good. A few Donkeys and Cattle to view that was nice! The atmosphere of the dining area and the fish pond was amazing! Staff very professional and friendly! The accommodation was very modern and the interior and bedding 5 star! Breakfast was also exceptionally good! Will definitely be back!

My favourite this was of course, the Koi fish and all of the helpful staff members, I had to be in Pretoria for an operation, so I was really not feeling good, the staff were so kind and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Their food is AMAZING, I had the fig and wine fillet for dinner and it was honestly the best fillet I've ever had, everything about this place was amazing if I could give it 6 stars I definitely would !

Delightful farm ambience, lovely decor and clean linen and towels. Conveniently close to motorways without the noise. Nice to see wildlife and to be in so much space.

We were disappointed not to have room service since we arrived in the afternoon and were hungry. We ended up having to go foraging for food. It was not far, but the delay meant we were unable to sample the dinner menu.

The Rasmus is, without a doubt, a true oasis in the capital city. The rooms are beautifully appointed, showcasing an impeccable sense of style and comfort. I particularly appreciated the artwork throughout the hotel. The outdoor spaces are equally enchanting. The spectacular koi fish pond in the gardens provides a perfect space for quiet reflection, and the opportunity to wake up to buck and calves grazing in the distance is truly delightful. What truly sets The Rasmus apart, however, is the staff. They are dedicated, professional, helpful, and genuinely friendly, ensuring every need is met with a warm smile. While I didn't dine in, the breakfast was good. The Rasmus has instantly become my hotel of choice in Pretoria, and I look forward to my next stay!

This is a Hidden Gem. Fidelis, Philip and the rest of the staff were truly fabulous. Catering to us not wanting breakfast, then wanting breakfast, wanting to check out late. All of this without batting an eye at our changing demands. Super accommodating. We woke up to wild life grazing right outside our door. What a true gem in the middle of town.

It would be nice if the menu would be updated. Keep the favourites but provide some seasonal variation. The menu hasn’t changed in a long time

The rooms were spacious and neat. Some of the staff members were very friendly. Good selection of wine on their menu and delicious dinner and breakfast. Managed to create a relaxed atmosphere, despite being located between highways and shopping centres.

The 750ml bottle of water during dinner was R85! So for the two bottles, we had to pay R170 (plus an additional 10% service fee automatically added, totalling R187, for two bottles of water) ! Ending off the dinner with such a shock was really disappointing!

The property is quaint and really ideal, perfect for a low key staycation Our room was massive and well put together. The bed and shower were spacious and comfortable. Exactly as depicted in the pictures

I absolutely hated that breakfast ends at 9h30 and check out is at 10am (especially for a weekend)… The breakfast on offer was below average (Sad looking “English” breakfast). The sausage was the size of my pinkie, one piece of bacon, fruits were finely chopped. The food was truly disappointing. Not much variety for cocktails at the bar.
