Uns war vorher gar nicht bewusst, wie außergewöhnlich die Anlage ist 💜 das moderne Tinyhaus im Dschugel ist eine ganz besondere Erfahrung, und gleichzeitig war es super komfortabel und sauber. Man konnte den Regen aufs Dach prasseln hören 🫶🏻 und nachts die verschiedenen Tiere hören. Der Pool war toll, das Frühstück auch, vor allem außergewöhnlich war aber das Personal. Wir haben noch nie so zuvorkommende und liebe Menschen in einem Hotel gehabt - danke für alles ☺️🫶🏻

Our sea view wasnt there due to the trees being too tall which was a shame. I booked because of the sea view. The hot water had to be run for about 10 mins before it heated up. That was annoying, especially when in a rush. The food was expensive.

The room was absolutely stunning and staff were exceptional! Prasanka was a notable star of the staff, he was extremely attentive and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

The location is a bit away from the main city center. However, this is the type of stay to stay on site switch off and relax.

The dinner/ in house restaurant menu was a little underwhelming. The doors in the room did not close well and when it did close it was hard to open them so we struggled a bit. But overall it was still nice.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful and we enjoyed the private pool and in-room breakfast almost every day.

We have several issues with our room - AC dripping condensation on bed and desk. Dust/dirty from room falling on beds. There was an animal on the roof every night crawling around making sleeping slightly nerve-racking.

Prachtige locatie, super mooie kamers en ook een upgrade naar een kamer met een privé zwembad was het absoluut waard. Het is hier zo mooi, het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Mooi zwembad en lekker ontbijt. Wij hebben echt genoten , bedankt !

Wij hadden niet door dat je moest aanvragen om je kamer te poetsen, dat was het enige !

After checking into the room, our first disappointment was the toilet's health faucet, which was broken, we couldn't use the toilet until they fixed it. Even after fixing it, they left the toilet untidy. The major disappointment was that there was construction work going on throughout our stay, which was very loud and annoying. They shouldn't have accepted the booking if they knew construction was planned, or at the very least, they should have informed us in advance, I would have cancelled and booked elsewhere. It completely killed the mood. Next, even though we booked a room with a private pool, it wasn't private at all, we could see the whole world passing by. In hindsight, I should have just booked a normal room and used the common pool instead. Our final and biggest frustration was that my kids developed skin allergies after sleeping on the beds. I've attached photos showing insects on the beds that were falling from the roof. It seems the room's window ventilation lets insects straight into the room, and as a result, we had mosquitoes everywhere. Throughout the rest of our Sri Lanka trip, my kids were completely free of mosquito bites and allergies, but as soon as we stayed here, they developed both. Please don't order food from the in-house restaurant. We ordered dinner one night and it was so awful that we ended up giving it away to the staff, but still had to pay for it, of course. Use food delivery apps like PickMe or Uber Eats instead. Overall, a disappointing stay for the money, and it's also not close to the beach, by the way.

The view was stunning. The room was spacious and the beautifully designed. The pool was excellent. Beds were comfortable. The food was delicious and the staff members were very nice. All essential amenities were there.

Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by excessive noise. We were on the ground floor beneath a room with wooden floors, and every footstep from the guests above was clearly audible. We were awake from around 5:30 a.m. because of the noise as they got ready to leave for a whale watching tour. (staff told us later) After they left around 6:00 a.m, the cleaning staff immediately began cleaning the room above us, dragging furniture, dropping things and creating even more noise for the next couple of hours. This was particularly disappointing because we had already informed the staff about the disturbance earlier that morning. Delaying the cleaning would have made a big difference, especially after we had explained that we hadn't been able to sleep. It's a real shame because the property itself is beautifully designed and the surrounding nature is incredibly peaceful. However, if guests can't get a good night's rest, it significantly impacts the overall experience.

The rooms which we booked was awesome. We loved it.

For vegetarians the option for food is very limited. You can't have anything for breakfast.

Lots of bugs everywhere. Bathroom needs a complete overhaul as it was full of bugs and the walls were peeling. Bed linen was dirty. Location is hard to get to and a lot of drivers will not take you up all the way so you may need to walk which is not fun in the dark

The location of the property is bit off the route and cars/vans can not reach up till hotel. One needs to board property provided tuk-tuk to reach. also, road side lights are insufficient.

Wo soll man anfangen? Anfahrt sehr schwierig, das Personal macht keinen motivierten Eindruck, die Baumhaus Zimmer sind nicht 5 sterne würdig, wir haben dann gezwungenermaßen ein upgrade auf ein anderes zimmer machen müssen, weil das nicht tragbar gewesen wäre. Unsere Zimmer wurde trotz Aufforderung nicht gereinigt. Weder Handtücher wurden ausgetauscht, noch haben wir Wasser bekommen. Der Pool war gekippt und wurde erst nach 3 Tagen gereinigt. Alles in allem kein schöner Aufenthalt der dem Preis gerechtfertigt gewesen wäre. (wir sind eigentlich keine picky 5 sterne hotel gäste, aufgrund des rabatts haben wir dieses hotel gebucht, was ein riesen fehler war) - das potenzial des hotels mit schönen eingangsbereichen etc wäre da, aber wird nicht genutzt

Beautiful common / pool area Friendly staff

There were quite a few things that were not good: - most problematic: it was dirty! The cups were dirty, there was animal poo on the seats, the bathtub was dirty, the bedsheets had small stains. - warm water didn’t work - at 5 AM we were woken by the nearby mosque doing their prayers on speakers - no curtains. It gets very bright in the morning - it’s not a bad hotel but it’s definitely not worth the money. We paid for 5 stars and got 3 at best -> we left 1 night early

• The room was very impressive, spacious, and comfortable. • The private pool was a big highlight. • The shower area was also very nice. • The staff was kind and helpful. • Communication via WhatsApp was efficient and responsive.

• There are gaps near the door that are not sealed, so many insects and spiders get into the room. • Hot water lasts only about 5 minutes, and even after I reported it, the issue was not fixed. • There were loud noises at night from animals walking on the roof. • The hotel is very remote and difficult to reach, and the signage is unclear (especially at night). • Tuk-tuk drivers usually do not know how to get there. • Even when a tuk-tuk arrives, it often struggles to climb the long steep road, so we had to walk uphill. • Access to the villa is not properly arranged. • There is not enough privacy in the pool area, and people can see in from different directions. • The front desk is not available late at night. • Tuk-tuks booked through the hotel are much more expensive, and guests end up paying more because the location is remote and unfamiliar to drivers.

Die Villa, das Private Pool und das Gemeinschaftspool waren einfach traumhaft schön! Die Lage mitten im Jungle war super. Die Villa Hillcrest war unsere Lieblingsunterkunft in Sri Lanka. Es eignet sich auch für einen Regennachmittag weil die Privatvilla einfach so schön ist!

Wir hatten Mühe, dass die Tuktuks nicht nach oben gefahren sind. Die Villa ist recht abseits, es macht also Sinn einige Snacks mitzubringen da es keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe gibt. Das Essen vor Ort ist sehr lecker, aber eher teuer. Man hat nachts laute Musik und eine Moschee gehört, es war also für die abgelegene Lage, trotzdem relativ laut im Zimmer.

Einfach eine Oase! Die Anlage ist wunderschön gelegen und ein teil der Unterkünfte in Höhe der Baumkronen gebaut, nur vom Bett aus offen Vögel und Glühwürmchen beobachtet werden können- ein Traum. Auch das Personal und das Essen lässt keine Wünsche offen, wir würden sofort wieder hier logieren.

The staff were responsive on WhatsApp and consistently polite in person. However, their level of training did not meet expectations. The “tree house” finishes were average at best, with noticeable issues in workmanship and detailing.

There was supposed to be a spa but there is nothing also the facilities are way less than a 5 star rating, I don’t know how this got 5 stars. The shower was in the room with a toilet covered only by a curtain and there wasn’t even hot water! In the night it’s impossible to eat outside as the lights attract thousands of moths an mosquitos, the room didn’t have mosquito protection. Overall very basic I expected more.

The view from the room is completely restricted surrounding trees, and the view from the pool restricted by the building in front so you can’t actually see any of the lovely countryside. The hill to get up to the property is super steep so you’ll need a car or a tuktuk with a good engine if you have big bags. The food was of poor quality and expensive, we had room service on one of the evenings and after asking them to clear the plates twice so that insects and vermin didn’t come for it, they were still there in the morning! The room itself is of very poor quality, curtains super thin and don’t give any privacy, the carpet was wet around the bathroom (no idea why carpet was used) and the shower was broken. There were loads of holes in the bed sheets and nowhere comfortable to sit either. Just a completely unwelcoming place to stay with very cheap finishes everywhere. Staff were uninterested, slow and did a lot of giggling between themselves. Water wasn’t topped up in the room - I could go on. For just under £100 a night we could have stayed for a week in a hostel of the same standard. Money wasted here.

Le personnel est vraiment top ainsi que la nourriture de qualité. La piscine et la vue des chambres Deluxe sur la nature sont très agréables (ne vous attendez pas à un vue avec les chambres qui ne sont pas Deluxe ou villa car elles donnent principalement sur deux arbres). La literie est de qualité et très confortable.

Les WC séparé seulement par un rideau dans les chambres non Deluxe ce qui n'est pas idéal quand on est deux... Les chambres perchées sont sur des structures métalliques que l'on sent bouger quand on se déplace dans la chambre. Le manque d'intimité des chambres Deluxe desquelles on entend les voisins discuter et on voit les voisins bronzer à la piscine quand on est sur le balcon. Les portes extérieures de notre chambre Deluxe (balcon et entrée) ne fermaient pas complètement et pouvaient laisser passer des moustiques ou autres insectes. Ces détails accumulés nuisent au rapport qualité/prix. Avec un prix moins chers à la nuitée on aurait été moins exigeant.

הוילה ממוקמת על הר ואף טוקטוק לא הצליח להגיע עד למעלה ולכן הלכנו קצת ברגל . לפעמים יש רעשים חזקים מבתים בסביבה עצמה

Came here for two nights for my birthday and it was amazing! We had the room with 3 beds and private pool, just for the two of us so there was so much space! The pool was the best part by far. Shower was amazing also!! The staff were lovely, especially the guys dropping off the room service items. The restaurant drinks and food were really reasonable also!! The floating breakfast for super cute too! Would definitely recommend

There was a fridge with a mini bar. The waters is there cost a lot more than places i’ve stayed for 1/4 of the price. Would have been nice to get one or two bottles for free considering the price you pay for the room. But other than that, it was an amazing stay!

Location was horrible, it is very difficult to reach on a hill top and extremely steep roads. Difficult to navigate at night, facility ran out of water in the morning, it took around 20 min to restore. There is no staff available on site at the reception between 10 pm to 7 am. Rooms were spacious and big, Private pool needs some work to make it safer, add barricades on the sides to prevent any falls. Beds were a bit hard. Dental kits were provided on request. Staff is friendly, they can provide Tuk Tuk for the guests but it is more expensive. Pick me App and Uber do not work in this town, you have to depend on the Hotel or local Tuk Tuks to ferry you around. Suggestion to the Hotel is to provide a Shuttle to the main road or to a better approach road for its guests in the future.

Getting to the property is very very difficult. No cabs or autos come till the villa as it is on a hilltop. The property ahould really work on the path and commute to reach the villa

En restant factuel et dans le désordre: - les chiens aboient toute la nuit (ils sont très sympas malgré tout ) - Obligation de demander du papier toilette - restes du petit déjeuner toujours sur la terrasse à notre retour le soir - pas d eau chaude froide le premier jour et juste tiède ensuite - la nourriture est irrégulière ( le même choix d un jour à l autre se présente complètement différemment ) - un membre du personnel me propose un massage fabuleux ! (Effectué par un homme, ça aurait été bien de le savoir …) pour m expliquer le lendemain qu il a besoin de mon avis sur le massage pour savoir si la personne convient… - nous avons dû appeler quelqu un pour le coffre fort qui n avait pas été réinitialisé - il faut juste savoir que le chemin pour arriver jusqu’à l établissement est très rude … notre taxi a pris des sueurs froides

The villa is perched atop a hill about a 40 minute walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the walk through the paddy fields and then streets of Weligama and it is easy to get a tuk tuk if needed. Our family villa with private pool was perfect for our family of 5. The pool was the perfect start to the day and a lovely way to relax after a hot walk up the hill.

The jungle surroundings are absolutely stunning, with beautiful views and a great pool area. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The property is very good value for money, and the food was world-class. It can take a little time to be served, but that’s because everything is prepared with so much care – and it is 100% worth the wait. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the property for all three days, and it was the best food we had during our two-week trip in Sri Lanka.

Le cadre de l’hôtel est très sympa. La piscine est magnifique. Le personnel est vraiment adorable. La chambre est très confortable. Le petit déjeuner est copieux.

Malheureusement, nous avons retiré quelques points pour deux raisons. – Les joints de la douche n’étaient pas très propres, tout comme la baignoire extérieure. – De plus, lors de notre arrivée à l’heure du check-in, la chambre n’était malheureusement pas encore prête.
