W15 Weligama

Incredible breakfast, great location if you're looking to learn to surf, friendly staff,

The beer was always in short supply and never ice cold.

Nice and cozy hotel

Amazing location with beach volleyball courts right by the beach. No need to cross the road. Everything was awesome

Room facing the road. It's very noisy at night need to use earplugs. Definitely take rooms not facing the road if possible/fitting your budget

It was perfect 😊 nothing

Nothing

It was really close to the beach.

The toilet was clogged and it wasn’t fixed. Front office manager didn’t speak Sinhala or English and not warm or welcoming. Bar manager was seen yelling at the staff. Was not at all helpful when asked for menu advise. The vibe of the hotel was not the true friendly Srilankan welcoming vibe. Mainly because of the two people who are managing the place. Disappointing

Die Lage ist Perfekt

Manchmal laute Musik. Mann braucht Schallgeschützte Fenster !

Very friendly staff, great beach view pool and easy access to beach. The rooms were pretty clean and well maintained. The location was pretty convenient where you’ve got easy access to nearby restaurants, supermarkets all within a few minutes of a walk. You could access a wide range of beach restaurants if you feel like you need to checkout a different food menu/drinks, but the outdoor restaurant is pretty decent and reasonable in terms of prices.

There’s a high chance you will have to park outside of the property because the parking could accommodate only about 3 cars and I had to move mine a couple of time to allow space for the staff/ service vehicles.

Great location. Right on the beach.

the staff is A1. Also, their flexibility to do the upgrade for a reasonable price. Also, the restaurant provides great food and drinks - excellent to relax and be in front of the beach.

In busy days, you may not have space in the coaches that are in front of the beach

We had a great time with w15

Nothing

Delicious food for breakfast, lunch & dinner, with tables literally in the beach!

Good Location with beach access

Our Room was run down, there seems to be an issue with moisture: paint of the walls is coming off and bathroom has a strange smell. Price of the hotel was quite high compared to other hotels nearby especially for what is being offered.

We had a great stay at W15 Hotel in Weligama. The location is fantastic — right by the beach with easy access to local attractions. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering beautiful views of the ocean. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was generally very good. The hotel has a lovely vibe, with modern amenities and a relaxing pool area. The food was tasty. There are many restaurants and coffee right beside. One small downside was that the room lighting could have been a bit brighter, but nothing major. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing spot in Weligama with great proximity to the beach.

Breakfast incredible, stuff amazing.

Nada

The location and the staff were all excellent; however, the room (07) was well below par when you compare the price to the Marriott a few meters down the beach.

The shower was appalling (broken and with little to no water pressure), and the noise (despite being advised) was dreadful. I cannot understand why they don't install double-glazing windows in the rooms facing the road.

We had the most wonderful stay at W15 in Weligama! From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely fantastic. The hotel has a stunning beachfront location with breathtaking views, and the atmosphere is both vibrant and relaxing. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect – always warm, attentive, and welcoming. Our room was stylish, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The food and cocktails were exceptional, with plenty of variety and fresh, delicious flavors. Whether lounging by the pool, enjoying the beach, or simply soaking up the lively yet laid-back vibe, we truly had the best time. W15 exceeded all expectations – it’s a place we’ll remember fondly and can’t wait to return to!

Piękny, duży pokój, łazienka i taras, bardzo czysto, personel sprzątał codziennie.

Great butic hotel. Liked everything!!

Nothing.

The location is the best thing about the hotel. It's absolutely central to some of the nicest places to eat, drink, and hang around the beach or bay, including surfing lessons.

The room is extremely noisy, and has no sound insulation to speak of. The room I stayed at had a sea view, and is more expensive than the others. Deeply ironical then to find out only upon checking in that it is directly opposite the DJ's stand, which means that from 3.30pm to 11pm there's a constant bass that permeates into the room. And if not from the property itself, then from the adjacent property, which has its own DJ. The noise is just enough to ruin sleep if one turns in early, or just wants to have a quiet evening. There is ZERO intimation about this on the hotel's website, or on booking.com. I would seriously advise against booking this hotel, and especially any room with a sea view (there should be four) if you wanted some peace and quiet.

Superb food; friendly, efficient and helpful staff; clean rooms; great location on the beach. The well trained staff are a great asset for the hotel.

Staff was very supportive. Nice atmosphere. Every support staff was attentive to make your stay memorable.

Perfect location - right in the center of Weligama beach. Outstanding breakfast and resturant - from Pizza to Sri lankan rice and curry. Amazing staff and atmosphere all day long.

The baby cot was broken - but after we asked ut was replaced.

Professional service, great bar, music, swimming pool. Overall amazing stay and is probably the best place in the town.

Our room was facing the noisy road. Staff informed us about this upfront, so can’t really blame them.

Rooms are good only a little bit dark. Rest of the hotel looks „cheap“ and also a lot is damaged. Price-value ist really bad.. we would not recommend it or come again.

They had a private party with outsiders from the hotel right in front of our balconies with people screaming, dj, people in the pool, until really late.. keep extending couldn’t sleep etc. The staff keep saying it was gonna be done by a certain time and keep extending the party.

Amazing property, great location, rooms overlook the pool and lawn and beach. Facilities were great.

Food at the hotel could be slightly better but whatever feedback we gave them, they were so gracious about it

Great location, right on the beach with easy access to surfing. Nice vibe with community feel with the volleyball, bar. Music was great. Food is brilliant. The executive room view is stunning

Staff, especially Kevin, was Great. Perfectly located at the Beach. Great Service and very confortable.

The hotel staff was excellent special thanks to udesh for n b manager. The location was convenient too 👍

less facilities for the price we paid. Expected more facilities with the brand name and should improve the breakfast menu. The pool was closed until 8:30 AM in the morning.

Amazing setting & beautiful room on the sea front

Amazing location, beach and bar. Cool DJ on the premise every day from 3-11pm!

Some times the service was a little slow, despite there being 4 or more servers standing around at the bar. Not a big deal though.

The room was clean and good looking.

Despite my request for a quiet room, they gave me a room facing the street. You can hear every motorbike, car, and truck as if it's passing by your bed.

Nice location, pool and bar Staff were nice and welcoming

Lots of street noise!!! Couldn't sleep (for the rooms with windows to the street) Need to wait 5 minutes for hot water Room is not well equipped

The staff is amazing! Takes care of everything you need, always with a smile, they really want you to have perfect experience. Food in the hotel is very good, you have to try the pizza ! Definitely will be back.

I loved the location which was on the beach and it was a great view to see surfers surfing. Loved the food and the music wasn't too loud. I can't remember the name of the gentlemen staff but he spoke good English and was Sri Lankan who used to work in the middle east. He really really made us feel welcome and comfortable. Taking the extra trouble to make guests feel welcome. If you had the pleasure to meet him during your stay, he will surely look after you. The room was beautiful and spacious & great value for money.

Lovely accommodation. Great location. Booked a standard room but got upgraded to sea view suite up the top on arrival. Lovely rooms - comfy beds, clean. Have kettle, tv, fridge etc.

They play loud DJ music until 11pm. We loved the view from the oceanview suite but as this is right by the DJ set the basey music made it impossible to sleep until the music stopped (even with ear plugs in the sound was loud). Would recommend a room further back as I feel these would be much quieter.

Amazing location

The relax vibe and open areas

Nice property close to beach with friendly staff

Nothing

It was a very small cozy hotel and we loved to stay with them And hats off to the chef The food was amazing and up to European quality and cured to detail The manager was super helpful so as the swimming pool Staff and the bar We had a great time and we will surely come back Thank you

Very well located next to Kai beach club and the Marriott, the rooms are well decorated. The music wasn’t too load for us and the kids actually enjoyed the party vibes playing pool table and swimming in the sea.

The location is great, just in front of the beach with perfect waves coming in all day long. Only you have to do is to lift your head from your pillow and the check the conditions. The staff is as everywhere in Sri Lanka super nice. But I think hotel management is only about making money. So bad food, loud music and awfull choice of sunbeds and chairs. But the location is really great therefore we booked this hotel. A bonus is the SPA, really, really great!

The location is best located for great surf every day and also promotes surfing...but then there is really nothing which has anything to do with surfing. You can not dry your clothes, you need to walk with surfgear next to the reception every day (very bad designed). Really the hotel itself has nothing to do with surfing, only the location is great. No surfvibe at all..... The room we had, had a great bathroom and perfect bed. But the there was awfull music all day long (the music was actually good choice of the DJ, but the bass was wayyyyy to heavy (you could not talk outside or read a book) and it is not a party place, it is a hotel with high prices for Sri Lanka. It is a super nice hotel in front of the beach. But why hire a DJ when there is no crowd to listen too, till 23PM every day! We left earlier because of the music. So it is def not a family place unfortunateley. The food was also very far from great so we went to Nomads for breakfast aka lunch or to Cava of to A42 restaurant, or to Villa Hillcrest to have dinner. The sundecks are black with red, awfull choice and very, very cheap plastic....nothing classy at all.

Great boutique hotel with friendly & helpful staff. Nice location on the beach.

I think the property could invest in some newer sun loungers and more of them dotted around the garden.

The hotel is nice with great rooms

"The most noisy place I have ever stayed in, and on top of that, on the third day, they had a huge festival with a market, hundreds of people, loud music, and we were asked not to use the pool. When we checked out I sow they are getting ready for another party, that will start in the evening

The hotel is beautiful. From room, to pool, to grounds, and the beach everything was great! Staff was welcoming and worked to make sure my stay was excellent. Had a check out in the middle of the night and they offered to pack me a to go breakfast without me asking.

Nothing.

Location, food, bar, pool and the pool table. Loved the fact that the surf school was right behind the property. Surfing, chilling, eating, using pool and bar area was seamless. Live music was great. Waiter (Dhanuska), Bar Tender (Kasun), and Pizza Chef (Udar) were all great, providing great service.

This is the first hotel with no room slippers! This came as a surprise! Take away breakfast for whale watching was awful.

Great location for surfing: right in front of the hotel.

More suited for couples not families, but we still had a great time with our 6 year old.

Spacious room, very good breakfast; nice swimming pool, professional and very friendly staff

Loud music after 22:00, especially when nobody was dancing; The water in the ocean looks dirty, probably after rain and/or a river flowing into the bay

Great location and beautiful rooms. Super comfortable for surfing lessons

Service at the restaurant isn’t that great

The staff lead by Andrew were magnificent and very welcoming andbattentive. The location is great. The music and DJ's set a great vibe. The food was fantastic, cocktails were all amazing. Definitely a must visit when staying in Weligama. The rooms were spacious, clean and well kept

Nothing

Great friendly service lead by Andrew and his team. Food, Drinks, Music, Vibes, Rooms all were on point. Loved the communal pool table. Felt right at home at W15 Definitely will be coming back

Nothing at all We booked three room. All washroom smell really bad. Reception is not pleasant at all. No space for triple room. All room same size and for triple they only add the sofa bed. No space to add our luggage. Very disappointed with washroom. For the money you charge it’s not worth at all. Also please update new pictures on booking.com. Rooms pic and the real rooms have a lot of difference. We are very disappointed.

The staff were exceptional attentive they went well beyond their duties. Probably in the 30 years of travel some of the nicest staff ever. I lost something on the beach and they found it what amazing people especially the Management. Andrew and his colleague fantastic people. Also they chilled coconuts for my breakfast drink amazing.

Other guests who believe they are the chosen people behaved badly were rude to staff and other guests. The staff did their best to contain them.

Location

Water is smelling like really really smelling. And room Was not clean, and the floor was stinky. Bed sheets were not clean and pillow covers are really old.

AC broke - they did it takes 4 hours to fix, but didn't started to do a thing. Room was promised to face to a garden, it was facing to the main road. Rooms are worn out.
