Voortreffelijke kamer met heerlijk groot bed. Prima restaurant en heel vriendelijk personeel.
Het was een hele zoektocht om de kamer te vinden
Beautiful village location. Room spacious, well-appointed and comfortable Good restaurant, lovely food and charming staff.

The shower didn’t work
Very nice property, nice ambiance and well maintained. Staff are excellent and food is always memorable.
Excellent choice, service and quality.
Situation, presentation and lovely atmosphere. Fabulous staff and big bedrooms and bathrooms / spotlessly clean and fabulous food - amazing chef
Nothing not to like
Very good
The shower in the bath
Excellent dinner
Our bedroom was rather small for the amount of money paid as was the bed
Wentbridge House is a wonderfully charming country hotel, surrounded by beautiful grounds that give it such a peaceful and quintessentially English feel. Our room was particularly lovely, incredibly spacious and overlooking the gardens, which made the stay feel all the more relaxing. The hotel has plenty of character and was a beautiful setting for our time in Wentbridge. The only small downside was the late checkout policy, as extending checkout by just an hour and a half came with an additional £30 charge, which felt a little steep for such a short extension. That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the hotel comfortable, charming and beautifully situated.
Went for a wedding. Really lovely location and rooms are really nice
Very plush , lovely decor, great bed and bedding . Lovely breakfast

A huge thank you to the team at Wentbridge House Hotel, for a wonderful day this week, when my family celebrated my sisters special birthday. I had visited a few weeks earlier to have look around at where our party might be seated; on that morning had delicious bacon sandwiches and coffee in the pretty lounge. I was greeted warmly and shown around by a very helpful young lady from reception, so I knew the venue was going to be perfect for our forthcoming family celebration. The welcome from the young lady at reception was so nice, friendly, yet professional; my apologies that I can’t recall her name to say thank you. We chose to sit at the garden patio as it was such lovely weather; it’s a beautiful space and very well presented. We had booked afternoon tea as the Summer Menu looked delicious! Two of our party ordered Proper Afternoon Teas, and this request was happily accommodated. We were looked after by Beth and Spencer whilst we were there; I must comment that they were excellent ambassadors for Wentbridge House. Smiling, friendly, and attention to detail whilst setting our table and placing the food; so easy and relaxed, yet again professional; even though the hotel was busy both inside and outside, nothing was too much trouble for them both. A special thank you to them; it honestly made the day for my sister. The Afternoon Teas were delicious! beautifully arranged and the content was extremely varied. Another thank you to the talented Chef(s), it was much appreciated. A Happy Birthday small plate for my sisters’ special birthday offered by the hotel was a perfect finale to what had been a lovely indulgent day, spending precious family time together. Thank you so much to the team at Wentbridge House; we made precious family memories and loved our day!
Great Venue, made very special by its staff. I've recently got married and had my wedding reception at Wentbridge House Hotel. What an amazing location and setting for a wedding. If I had my time over, I would definitely choose Wentbridge House Hotel again, so glad we chose it for our reception. The hotel is situated in a quiet little village and has a folly in its grounds which was great for photos. What makes this particular venue spectacular is it's staff. When planning our wedding, the staff at Wentbridge House Hotel were absolutely amazing, they are not just lovely people, but nothing was too much trouble for them and they were so focused on ensuring our day was very special. They didn't just accommodate everything we wanted (eg special food requirements they'd never done before) but on the actual wedding day they took time to fix issues that had occurred with other suppliers to make sure our day was amazing, going above and beyond. I can't thank the staff enough for making our day so special. Special thanks to Karen and Johnny who made the reception a joyous occasion, Karens personality is so bubbly that you can't help but smile and feel really welcome, and Johnny played some great tunes to dance to and even played tracks he'd never played before, at our request. Special thanks also go to Matthew on reception, who was so helpful, not just on reception, but he also went the extra mile to ensure I arrived at the church for the wedding, when there was issues with the wedding car we had hired. He also checked that I had transportation back to the hotel after the wedding had occurred. This leads me on to the General Manager - Catherine, who helped out with the car hire problems and arranged complimentary drinks whilst I waited for alternative transportation, she even covered reception whilst Matthew was helping me out. Throughout the whole process of organising the wedding, Nicola Guest the operations manager was very approachable and helped us to arrange our perfect day, nothing was too much trouble for her and she always responded quickly to all our queries. I'd also like to thank the bar staff, Britanny, Maddison and Matthew; Chloe who organised thinks behind the scenes; the Chef who created an amazing croquembouche and the rest of the reception staff who were all so helpful. Without all these people our wedding day would not have been as special and we wouldn't have so many fond memories of the wedding day, made more special by all these amazing people. For future couples looking to get married - yes there are some nice venues in the area, but go take a look at Wentbridge House Hotel, it has a little bit of extra finesse that the other venues don't seem to have. The people who work there are amazing and they will do all they can to make your wedding day fantastic in every way.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Wentbridge House Hotel on 19 July 2026. We stay here quite often throughout the year to visit our daughter and grandchildren. We were delighted to be upgraded to a fabulous suite room overlooking the garden. The location is perfect for our visits to the area and the calm atmosphere and warm welcome is always a pleasure to experience. The rooms are clean, well furnished and equipped. The meals in the Brasserie are always exceptional.
Location close to family who live close to Ackworth. Breakfast good - coffee nice n hot. Able to charge car at premises. Could gather family outside my daughter’s room whilst grandson asleep. Iron and ironing board available . Very comfortable bed. Outside service on patio - although a little slow.
Nobody on reception when we arrived - had to find .Travellers could be offered tea and refreshments on arrival prior to check in. Help with taking bags to room would be appreciated. Restaurant objected to seating our family together for celebration despite doing so on a previous visit. With 17 people in our party many of them staying with you, a family discounted rate would have been appreciated- said rooms booked under Crawley, Crawley-Till, Smith (x2) and restaurant under Cuniffe-Sharp..
Beautiful place, gorgeous garden, fabulous rooms, lovely restaurants.
Wonderful building in a nice setting . And good staff Outside on a warm sunny day in a large well appointed garden very enjoyable . Bedroom very clean and tidy but no fridge no fresh milk and boil the kettle in the wardrobe Yes the wardrobe. The dining room we were to use they call the brazier . No tablecloths ,no serviettes .no place mats . Not much better appointed than” joes cafe” With £27 ish charged for breakfast and the best part of £60 for Sunday lunch was it value . Plus of course 10% service charge . Nope it was at best nice . Beef was outstanding , as for the veg very average. They did have a nice restaurant with the usual table cloths wine glasses laid out as you would expect .but we never had the opportunity to use them If so maybe the food would have seemed freshly cooked .and maybe service would have seemed slicker . But the brazier canteen doesn’t do it for me . Would i return yes but i would not dine other than in the restaurant .
An excellent family run hotel in quiet lovely grounds and very convenient for the A1. The restaurant is also very good as was the breakfast.
Nothing.
If you see this place, whether it's for a hotel booking or to book a wedding here, let me tell you BOOK it!!! You will not be disappointed one bit from amazing hospitality where everyone actually cares and goes above and beyond to the highest hotel standard. Genuinely thank you so much for making our stay and wedding perfect and looking after our guests who are looking to book the hotel for future stays in the area already.
Had the best afternoon tea ever. The restaurant is spotless, the staff most agreeable. Lovely setting, hard to believe it’s only half a mile from the A1. Will go again without a doubt.
Absolutely amazing brill rooms food staff couldn’t recommend this place enough
The breakfast was good.
Bacon was cold.
Our daughter and son in law Mathew and Katie got married at the Wentbridge 2 years ago which was absolutely amazing so we come back as a family to celebrate there anniversary every year and it never dissapoints see you next year.
We were here for my son and now daughter in law’s wedding. Wow what an absolute beautiful venue for a wedding or any other special occasion. The rooms are immaculate, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The Wedding was perfect in every way, food, wine was perfect. We were very lucky with the weather too, we have quite a lot of small children who loved the beautiful well looked after lawns where they played all afternoon. Can’t wait to come back and wouldn’t hesitate to have a weekend away at the Wentbridge. Many thanks to each and everyone one of you that helped made our wedding the very best it could be. See you all very soon ❤️
Beautiful location and property
Very comfortable room, excellent nights sleep. Restaurant excellent. Superb meal. Staff incredibly helpful Perfect location
Everything was great
This is a beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. We had a suite and the room was quiet, large, tastefully decorated with an enormous comfortable bed , immaculate linens and best of all expensive soft 'proper'pillows. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a mini fridge with the option of fresh milk. The bathroom was clean modern and there was constant hot water. The staff were all outstanding, polite ,friendly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It is a fantastic place not far from the A1 but beautifully quiet and picturesque and an excellent base to explore the area. Nostell Priory and Yorkshire Sculpture park are both nearby.
A lovely hotel - set in beautiful gardens. Room was very clean and comfortable with nice toiletries - air conditioning and first time I’ve ever had a turntable and vinyl records in the bedroom! Staff very friendly and the evening meal and breakfast were excellent - will definitely stay there again!
friendly Staff

Warm welcome and lovely room Excellent evening meal and breakfast
On checking out the receptionist was rather surly
This is simply one of the best hotels in Britain, welcoming, well organised, lovely setting, excellent rooms (with great aircon!) and a great restaurant. The garden was lovely and to have it to myself for breakfast one morning was terrific. If we are doing something within 50 miles of Wentbridge, we will drive the extra distance to stay there. And as an independent hotel, when you call you talk to people who work there and they are always kind and helpful. If there were six stars, I would award them!
We had a lovely overnight stay. Staff friendly and helpful, food excellent, room perfect for our needs (we have a dog). Couple of small points - it would be good to have a dedicated area for dogs to go to rather than the very lovely gardens which we were worried would end up with burn marks from our dog's pee (she's female). Also we asked for fresh milk for the room but were given a tiny jug. Lots of places now provide small thermos flasks to keep milk cool in that hold more than just a small jug's worth of milk.
We stayed here recently to celebrate our Silver wedding anniversary. We celebrated our wedding day 25yrs ago at Wentbridge House and it is as perfect now as it was back then. The staff, the atmosphere, the food, the rooms, everything about this place is 5 star! Wentbridge House makes you feel special and relaxed, the staff are professional and friendly, the rooms spotless and we have stayed a few times since marrying here and the food is always just delicious. We were so surprised to have the most beautiful floral arrangement in our room on arrival for our silver wedding celebration, and the flowers they chose were practically identical to my wedding flowers! We really enjoyed the record player in our room, and the chocolates and champagne went down a treat! Honestly, if we had to do our wedding day again there is nowhere in the world we would choose but here, its just perfection in our eyes. Thank you so much Wentbridge House for being our Happy Place xx
I had a wonderful 2 night stay for my brother’s wedding. The room was clean and the decor was lovely but unfortunately the window faced an ivy covered wall. Hotel reception was excellent, as were both the breakfast and wedding lunch. I did have a problem with the mirrors when applying my makeup. Both the mirror in the bathroom and the one in the bedroom are situated so that you cannot get as close as I would expect.
Everything was good as usual . Lovely room and the restaurant was superb as always.
Absolutely superb country house hotel situated in beautiful grounds. As an 80 year old complainer and world traveller I would say it is faultless. Staff excellent, dining room and bedrooms excellent. So good we’re returning in a fortnight.
Staff members were pleasant and room big and bed comfortable
Needs decoration sorting
WHH hosted and extended wedding celebration for ourselves and close family and friends. Everything was organised by the in house events manager Chloe Walker who got everything absolutely spot on. we couldn't have asked for or wished for more. The food and service was absolutely prefect.
Loved everything, it was spot on. Great staff, fabulous outside space, quiet, immaculate room and outstanding food quality. Will definitely stay again.
Everyone is always very friendly, the rooms are nice and large and there is lots of parking
What can I say about The Wentbridge? It's fantastic, that's what! We've stayed a number of times at different times of the year & it's always top-notch. Easy, safe, off-road parking, gorgeous rooms, fabulous food & excellent service from all staff. What's not to like?
I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times as I visit this area on business regularly, and I also stay at several hotels around this area. I have never left a review of any hotels in the 10 years that I have had my business. My stay last night cost over £160 pounds. I’ll show you some pictures of my bathroom and the grotesque fan that was in my room. Why would anyone be expected to use this in a room that you paid so much money for. The restaurant was lovely as ever. If you ever stay here, DO NOT opt for a room at the court yard as you will be awake all night with the constant traffic and wedding party noise. It’s a quiet area, but you hear every single car that passes. I ended up having to pay £7.99 on Apple Music for a white noise download, and even at that, I still woke up constantly as each car passed. Honestly the worst nights sleep at a hotel that I have ever experienced. I never even went for breakfast (which was included), as I was today shattered. I explained this morning, and the girl was really lovely, but I just feel that I need to leave an honest review. I am staying along the road tonight for £109 and it is way much cleaner and far superior. Literally like night and day. The price doesn’t matter to me as I am travelling on business, but it will to lots of others. Poor show Wentbridge House Hotel. Risky and utterly disappointing. Have a look at those pictures 🤮🤮🤮
Everything was excellent we attended a wedding it was perfect , surroundings food ,staff ,hotel room ,had a great 2 days hope to come again ☺️
Fabulous hotel with stunning grounds. The staff are truly exceptional. The food is delicious and of a very high standard. Thank you to all the team at The Wentbridge for their incredible service and attention to detail. We look forward to staying again on the 30th 👍
Stunning location - beautiful house
The bathrooms need an upgrade - no one wants a small bath tub with a shower over anymore - replace it with a big double shower & put in a makeup/shaver mirror!
Very quiet setting and lovely gardens and courtyard
We recently stayed at Went Cottage with our children and dog, this was in part to celebrate our 14th birthday wedding anniversary as we got married at Wentbridge House. Every time we have been back it’s been special, but even more so to be able to take our family this time. The cottage is immaculate, very cute and so cosy. We also had a meal in the brasserie and drinks outside on the patio which were excellent. The staff still remember us and this is a testament to the standards at the hotel. We can’t wait to visit again!
I recently got married at Wentbridge & couldn’t speak highly enough about the whole experience. We booked the venue 3years ago & every interaction throughout the entire process has been positive! The Hotel itself is absolutely stunning, including the rooms & the outdoor areas. The Staff couldn’t do enough for you & made sure the day ran seamlessly, especially Chloe the events manager who was with us every step of the way & Karen the events coordinator who made sure everything & everyone on the day ran as it should i wish I could do it all again.x
Lovely stay as allways at Wentbridge. Food was excellent, wine was brill
The food was fantastic the staff couldnt do enough to make our party a great sucess. We werr highly satisfied
Stunning location. The hotel and grounds were lovely. Room was very clean and comfortable and equipped with an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, safe, luxury toiletries and complimentary water.

This is my second visit here with friends, the service is excellent and the food well cooked and equally well presented. We all ate of the set lunch menu, which represented good value. I had the beef ragu arancini balls followed by a cod main, would recommend!
The hotel is privately owned and and is in a pretty village conveniently located for visiting West Yorkshire. We were welcomed with little pieces of delicious cake and found staff throughout to be both friendly and efficient Our room with its four poster was very comfortable and had a nice view. We enjoyed bathing in the gorgeous deep copper bath. Our dinner in the Brasserie was good. It is nice to find a hotel as well run as this and we would be happy to come back for a longer stay.
They upgraded our room to a luxury one
Nothing
We were worried about possible noise from the wedding taking place, but the staff assured us our room would be quiet and they were quite right. We had a wonderful night in a lovely cool room a great supper with good understanding of my needs as a Coeliac. Excellent breakfast service the next morning, again with good understanding of my dietary requirements. It wasn’t cheap but you can’t put a price on such excellent service and I have no hesitation in recommending it and we would certainly stay there again if it suited a particular needs.
Having stayed there before and had an excellent stay all round, this time was no exception. My friends were very satisfied with all that Wentbridge House Hotel has to offer and so did my wife and I. Excellent rooms, evening meal/breakfast and all facilities plus a lovely garden to sit in and have a cool drink !! Every member of staff were polite and helpful including reception, bar, waiting on tables and cleaning members. Thankyou Wentbridge House, will definitely return !!
Peaceful scenic quality surroundings room lovely comfortable clean
Was a very hot day parts of the hotel had heating on and no air conditioning so very warm
Lovely place
Beautiful large room. Excellent breakfast, beautiful room. Excellent service
Everything perfect
A fabulous stay as usual at the Wentbridge. Lovely staff, great service and wonderful accommodation. We received a room upgrade to celebrate our anniversary which was really lovely. Great food in the evening and a really nice breakfast before we left in the morning. Warm and sunny sitting outside in the garden, just chilling out. The only thing we would say was that an additional "bar charge" was added to our bill and we thought it was for drinks but then realised it wasnt. Called to question it and were told it was an optional service charge. It wasnt a problem that there was a charge as we had actually left a cash tip on exiting, it was that no one told us when they gave us the bill that is was on there and what it was. Shame, but it was still a lovely nights stay, thank you.
Our first time at Wentbridge House & what a lovely place. They upgraded our room as a surprise for our anniversary. We dined at the Brasserie and food was superb. All the staff we met were friendly, polite and welcoming. From our experience, we’d happily recommend Wentbridge House to anyone.
Picture perfect! Staff, a special shout out to Stuart/ Stewart. The bed was really comfortable and the rooms are stunning. Great service and food. Thank you,
Choosing to stay overnight somewhere you don’t know can be a risk but Wentbridge House proved to be an absolute success as we travelled from Scotland to the South. From the surprise of a spotless, upgraded room to the excellent dining experience we were very pleased with our choice and would have no hesitation in staying here again. All the staff we met were friendly, polite and welcoming. From our experience, we’d happily recommend Wentbridge House.
The food was fantastic, lovely staff and overall a great place to stay
We had a lovely quiet room with an outlook over the grounds. The beds were comfortable and the linen of a superior quality. The perfect stopover en route to the North.
Staff very polite and efficient, all facilities and rooms clean and to a high standard. Nice touch on arrival, offered courtesy drink after the long drive.

Lovely hotel in a great situation. Very comfortable room. Breakfast was good.
There was no hot chocolate or biscuits in the room. At breakfast I had to ask for butter.
Absolutely beautiful place inside and out. The food was excellent as usual and the chefs were very accommodating to any preferred changes to orders. I would like to thank in particular Stuart, Cosmin and Jonny whose service was second to none and nothing was too much trouble. A fabulous experience!
Called in to break up a very long drive as we saw they had an EV charger. The charger was extremely slow, so I wouldn't stop just for that. But the hotel is wonderful. We had a fantastic lunch in a beautiful dining room then sat outside in the. Lovely garden for coffee. The only thing that was not 5* was the bread which I paid £5 for which was all crust and very hard to eat. Apart from that, food, drink, service, atmosphere, location and value all 5*plus.
Beautiful hotel in beautiful grounds. Lovely large rooms, all the amenities you could need and good attention to detail.
The disabled toilet in my mother's accessible room didn't work unfortunately
Beautiful location. Good choice of breakfast and well cooked.
Nothing everything was excellent.
Beautiful location, gorgeous interior design, friendly staff. Our room was very comfortable, I didn’t want to leave.
First class breakfast Close to A1 Very friendly reception

Charme O cheff é de top !! Que comidas fantásticas !!!
Estava no quarto mais caro e a TV não funcionava nem havia chávenas para café no quarto ! Não percebo porque lá estava uma máquina nespresso 😄
Stunning hotel, beautiful rooms, amazing staff and amazing food

Hotel and gardens were beautiful and very clean. Every member of staff was friendly and did a great job. Comfortable bed with fluffy pillows. Great choice for breakfast and really good food.
Everything: wonderful staff, very comfortable rooms and an excellent restaurant.
Nothing!
I like the attention to detail. Consistently high standard. The hotel keeps everything in good condition and nothing looks worn out. Ive been coming here for a while as a special treat and usually get a room upgrade. You feel appreciated and return visits are remembered.
It’s a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and more. This place is 100% worth it.
Great rooms and excellent breakfast
Non electric cars parked in the EV parking bay all night, could be better signposted
I chose Wentbridge to host my 30th Birthday for many different reasons but it’s hands down one of my favourite locations for every possible occasion whether that’s dinner, afternoon tea, an overnight stay or for something even more special. We hosted 28 friends and family members from across the country to mark a milestone birthday by opting for private dining in the Leatham, Chloe was outstanding in everything organisation and was a great help with communication. The food and team on the night were also brilliant, everyone who attended couldn’t have had better comments to make, the environment just finished it off making it a special occasion to remember, we also stayed the night along with a few others in our party and had a wonderful nights sleep and a lovely breakfast. 10/10.
Absolutely Amazing stay, beautiful free upgrade for our 48th wedding Anniversary.Perfect as always.Beautiful room, great food.Great Breakfast.Top notch.
We love Wentbridge and often have Sunday lunch or afternoon tea. We decided to stay and take advantage of the Sunday stay offer. Check In felt a little soulless with the older long haired lady reading to me from a screen and very little smiling or personality. The lady with the red hair was very welcoming, mentioning our anniversary. We booked what was the original wedding suite as we were married at the hotel 21 years ago. The staff were kind enough to recognise this with mini prosecco and a copper mug. Much appreciated and a lovely touch. The service was a little disappointing in the bistro, I’ve experienced this on the last couple of visits along with staff almost forgetting that you’re waiting in the snug. My rib eye steak was more med well done that med rare and a very thin steak- not really the thicker more succulent cut but that you would expect. We should have raised this but that would have spoilt our dinner as my husband’s main course was lovely and as expected. The attention to detail feels as if it’s being forgotten a little which is what makes this place so special.
The staff were amazing! So helpful and knowledgeable. A real credit to the hotel. Beautiful grounds as well. The menu for dinner and the drinks menu were amazing. Very high quality and was better than the dinner at the 5-star hotel we had the night before.
The pictures of the room advertised were not representative of the hotel. There is only one renovated room and the rest are much older and don’t have the same fittings- no freestanding bath just a small bath suitable for a small Child. I discussed this with the staff and as soon as I mentioned it they knew exactly which room was being used for the photos. The room rate is very high for an old style hotel and not value for Money. There is no fridge in the room, the windows were locked so couldn’t be opened. The breakfast buffet had no labels and you couldn’t judge what allergens were in any of the food. Customers kept asking what each of the foods were, taking up valuable staff time. This could easily be addressed by proper labeling.
Beautiful hotel, warm, welcoming and with lovely rooms and delicious food. We stayed for my sister's wedding and the whole day was perfect - the setting was beautiful and the staff could not do enough for us. Breakfast offered a varied menu and was delicious. We are in the restaurant the night before the wedding too and we could not fault the food - a five star experience from beginning to end and a magical memory for the bride and groom and all their guests!
Beautiful setting, well laid out and decorated with taste and elegance - special getaway and treat
The location and setting are perfect as are the cosy, comfortable rooms and lovely decor. The breakfast, served in the brasserie, was absolutely delicious.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay could not fault anything
This was our place of choice to celebrate my husband's eightieth birthday. The hotel is close to where various family members live, and was therefore the perfect central point to met up for a meal. We were welcomed warmly by all staff. We were given a "garden" room, which was perfect. It was large and very well appointed. All enjoyed their meal in the Brasserie and the following morning my husband and I had a delicious fresh cooked breakfast. Would I go again? you bet!
Location was lovely, the hotel decor and furnishings were of a very high standard and the food was excellent. A lovely warm welcome upon arrival, afternoon tea in the restaurant, followed by a stay in a spacious room and bathroom (room 51). Exceeded my expectations and plan to stay again in the future.
There wasn't anything I didn't like!
Location beautiful Clean and welcoming Wonderful staff especially Stuart in the restaurant is a credit to the company. Parking plenty and the overall view of the venue outstanding classic features and perfect grounds Molton brown in rooms which adds that extra touch
The bar prices for drinks ridiculous, 4 double baileys was £52
