A great find for vfm, staff and facilities for the price were amazing and to have a pool and sauna were great

Pool was advertised with your advertising but it was open to public and heavily used by gym members, not what I’d expected, also says restaurant on site and all they sold in eves were pizzas - no suitable for my 12y old who was expecting more of a private pool and who didn’t like pizza! I shouldn’t have to take her out at night for food or an expensive delivery when you advertise you have a restaurant. The tv did not work, no signal and when I called to reception they didn’t answer so i used my mobile to call them directly and still no answer! My daughter was in pj’s and I couldn’t leave her to go down to reception! I would not recommend this hotel for children at all

Great location, excellent communication from reception staff, rooms were nice, cafe on-site, great pool and gym. All the staff were really lovely and helpful.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the walls are thin and the plumbing was noisy. Being quite noise sensitive, I had a very disturbed sleep. I’d recommend ear plugs for noise-sensitive people.

Great location for castle field close to plenty of places to eat and things to do. Nice that there was use of the gym and pool facilities.

Was very handy for Home where I went for an event. Plenty of eateries in a small radius. Close to Deansgate and trams

Staff at recepetion twice iv come here twice iv been unhappy with staff at reception they are moody and u get it taken out on ya. but not all of them some of them are lovely . I thought for paying for buffet u could have a cupa downstairs after breakfast but ya cant unless u pay more .bit expensive the cafe

Este hotel es una pequeña joya. La atencion es extraordinaria, con personas como Ann, Denim o Bela que son extraordinariamente amables y que ayudan a resolver cualquier duda o problema. Los cuartos son modernos, amplios y con todas las facilidades. El servicio de limpieza es muy eficaz. La localizacion es excelente. Los huèspedes pueden utilizar ratuitamente las instalaciones del YMCA. E,l desayuno es rico y abundante. Tienen un servicio de bar con cervezas de presiòn a precios razoables y varias cervezas artesanales riquìsimas. Y el precio es muy razonable y ajustado. Absolutamente recomendable.

Solo una cosa. Queria una cama doble y colocaron dos camas juntas unidas por la ropa de cama, lo cual no es exactamente lo mismo.

The room was excellent, clean, bed was so comfortable bathroom was clean and comfortable but they had covered the safety rails for the elderly and disabled absolutely brilliant

It was close to Manchester opera house and we were going there to see a performance so it was a great location for us to be able to walk there without having to drive and look for a parking space

Not being able to open the windows a bit more because of the second window panel in front of them which we could not move. Road noise was very busy outside of our room especially on the Friday night

The pillows were awful, just like sleeping on air, there was no air conditioning, there were no plug sockets by the side of the beds, it would have been nice to have had shower gel & shampoo for the shower there was liquid soap for both the sink & shower it was awful stuff it had no smell and no lather & also an anti slip mat to get in & out of the shower, it was really dangerous without one,

How near it was to venue of Castlefield bowl , walkable to Spinningfields , had onsite parking. Comfortable beds .Great coffee and very hot . Staff very friendly . Nice bar and ambiance

Couldn’t get light off in bathroom at night and then when it did go off could not get it back on so very dark if door shut. Curtains let light in room early as not fitted to window Breakfast just nice - only one pastry or egg choice available

Denim was an excellent member of staff. Very quirky and a very good receptionist. We got booked into our room very quickly, good check-in process and the room was great. I ordered the wrong room and they immediately gave me the room I wanted for my stay. Don't think you will find a better hotel in Manchester.

Room not clean , bathroom dirty and with sealing paint come in off . Shower dripping all night .coffe cups dirty .door with a massive gap where light come in and we can listening all the noises from outside

We couldn't sleep at all. We were in room 304 and there was a constant noise all night. We called to complain about it but the staff couldn't help us because the hotel was full and there weren't any maintenance technician. In the morning we told them again and they didn't pay attention.

The sauna, steamroom, swimming pool, and gym are included with the price of the room no extra fees.

The breakfast is a bit small mostly typical English breakfast. Nothing wrong, but could have a little more variety.

The Castlefield was in a great location. The team were really friendly and approachable. The hotel and facilities were really well maintained and clean. As it was out anniversary the team decorated our room to make it even more special.

there was traffic noise throughout the night as it was not possible to shut the external window . there was only one light switch for all the lights in the room . it was located above the bedhead on one side not possible to have a single light on or for one person to reach the switch. there were no plug sockets near the bed . reported the issue re window to a member of staff . heard nothing back .

Peaceful air. Decent scrambled eggs for breakfast. Good location. Great to know that staying here supports a charity, free access to the gym, spa & sauna is a massive bonus. Beds are comfortable enough. Although a plain / bit basic it is clean and you have what you need.

A bit noisy outside which was expected for central Manchester it just meant sleeping with the window open was a little challenging due to the noise.

That when I requested a bathtub, staff made sure to message me to le rme know they will to their ebst to accommodate my request and they did. The room was lovely and had a bathtub.

The staff were very friendly, the beds were super comfy, and a 11am check out means theres no rush to be out.

The only thing was the people in the room were quite noisey, but I was so tired, I fell asleep anyway.

Easy access to rail around Manchester, access to the swimming pool next door, didn't sit in the lounge area but was well presentable

Large cosy bed, very clean facilities. Friendly staff who were welcoming and we had a a very smooth check in. The location was excellent location,we were able to walk every where, very close to Deansgate and the main hub of activities in Manchester, particularly loved that we were able to discover St John's district which was amazing. Really good value for money.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, towels were new and clean, kettle tea, coffee, milk & biscuits provided. TV worked. Hand-wash, shower gel & 2 water cups supplied. Two bins with liners. No previous rubbish left.

As a single female the room allocated to me was on the 1st floor directly above the roof of the hotel reception and I was a little concerned that an intruder could climb on to the roof and get into my room. There was no air conditioning or fan. There was only 1 light switch for the entire room & bathroom?? There were no rails for the towels.

Excellent facilities. Large swimming pool and large gym. Good breakfasts. Good location near pubs, restaurants, public transport and museums.

The restaurant menu could have been larger. Bedrooms need USB or electrical charging points next to the beds. The toilet paper too thin and was poor quality. We had to go out and buy toilet paper. This was most disappointing and I did ask reception staff if there was any better quality toilet paper available. It is a shame to spoil the ship for tuppence of tar!!

The hotel is super close to everything but still a nice distance away from noise. We had a lovely drink outside in the sunshine - the staff were super friendly and helpful

Castlefield hotel was in a really good location. It was clean and modern, the breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly. It’s definitely fit for purpose. We would 100% stay here again if we came to Manchester.

Ik was aangenaam verrast dat het zo’n mooie comfortabele kamer was. Met zelfs een bad. Al weet ik dat we echt zuinig moeten zijn met water Iedereen bijzonder vriendelijk. Zwembad was ook heerlijk. Ook lekker even van terras genoten in de zon met een drankje

The hotel is positioned in an excellent location close to bars and good restaurants. We visited the science museum which was conveniently at the end of the road.

El hotel es encantador y su personal muy atento. Nos hemos sentido como en casa. La ubicación es perfecta para pasear por los alrededores y visitar zonas de interés y también para moverse fácilmente gracias a la cercanía a una estación de tren y tranvía. Muy recomendable.

Room was comfortable and pretty quiet. Ours had a view across Liverpool road to the Science and Engineering museum. There's plenty to see, and a good choice of food nearby. There's a convenient car-park (with spaces available when we arrived, circa 5pm) -- that's not super cheap, but I suppose that's city stays for you. Staff were extremely helpful.

No the property but the location and surrounding area was absolutely awful very dirty , bins overflowing and graffiti everywhere also the footpath around the hotel was unsafe with missing slabs and bricks

Breakfast was brilliant . Was really surprised at the quality and location of the place. I had an idea it would be a bit ...student hostel .. type service, but was more than pleasantly surprised. Just round the corner from the museum, city centre uo the street and loads of pubs eateries nearby. Attractive location by the waterside . Excellent value and great staff

From the parking area to the reception meant you had to climb the stairs externally . Not much fun with a lot of luggage.

Great location. I really liked the vibe of the hotel, especially around the reception area. The room was very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and not badly priced for the location. I unfortunately left my hairdryer in the room. I contacted the hotel and the Manager replied promptly to say that it had been found and would be at reception for me to pick up which I did on our return journey. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Thank you.

The rooms do not have air conditioning but, upon check in, reception did offer a fan. The entrance to the hotel is a distance from the car park and not that easy to find. I felt it could be better sign posted.
