Die Gastgeberin war so freundlich und hat uns vorab informiert, dass es sehr abgelegen ist und man vorher schon alles einkaufen soll. In der Küche alles da, was man braucht , sogar Kaffeepulver. Badezimmer sehr schön. Der Kühlschrank war sehr laut. Da wir aber von unseren Wanderungen dann immer müde und erledigt waren, haben wir ihn in der Nacht dann doch nicht gehört
Das Bett war grundsätzlich bequem, aber sehr wackelig. Eine kleine Ablage neben dem Bett wäre toll.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026The Cabins Across the Creek are located in the middle of Gray Wells National Park, close to a lot of the waterfalls (including Helmcken and Mouls) and only 25-30 min from Clearwater and the Dutch Lake. It is a beautiful environment with only the sound of the creek at night. The cabins are comfortable, with all you need, just like in the pictures. We had the 2 bedroom cabin and we liked it. The host provides lots of information prior to arrival and she responds quickly any question. The check-in process was very smooth (no reception desk). The kitchen worked well and there are basics provided by the host (coffee, tea, olive oil, etc). You can also bbq outside. I would recommend it.
Slightly soft beds for our taste but we found that common in most of Canada. I slept very well though.

Man muss sich etwas an das Rauschen des Bachs gewöhnen, dann ist es aber wunderbar! Einziger Nachteil ist, dass man die Fenster nicht alle verdunkeln kann, sodass es morgens früh hell im Zimmer ist.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Its location was so convenient for exploring Wells Gray Provincial Park. Loved the outdoor area with table & chairs, and little gas powered fire pit. Hearing the creek was peaceful.
I can understand why they might not have a washing machine or dryer (well water?) but a long stay might be difficult to do without them. Mosquito screens on the doors too (the windows have them) would be good.

Reviewed Oct 19, 2025We were really pleased with the level of comfort and facilities inside our cabin. We had a lovely 2 night stay. We drove from Vancouver on our way to Jasper and Banff and I would 100% recommend anyone doing that trip to include a 2 night stay in Wells Grey Provincial Park. Our host Courtnay was so friendly and helpful. We followed her advice re itinerary across the day and a half we had to explore the park, and it was wonderful. Seeing the Salmon leaping up stream at Bailey Chute was spectacular. We went to all the main waterfalls, but Mould Falls was magical as you can walk behind it. It's probably the more demanding of walks to get to it, but you are rewarded by an idyllic location when you get there. It's worth ending the day at Clearwater Lake after you have seen all the waterfalls. We spent our time there having a swim in the lake. It was so peaceful and a lovely location.
There is nothing to dislike.

We didn't get a chance to see too much of the area as the weather was appalling when we arrived. There was nothing about the cabin we didn't like.

Die Cabins sind super gemütlich, haben alles was man braucht, und man fühlt sich, als wäre man mitten im Wald :) Das Bad ist auch sehr schön, man merkt, dass die Unterkunft mit Liebe gestaltet wurde (Badutensilien sind z.B. aufeinander abgestimmt). Würde es jederzeit wieder buchen und bin etwas traurig, dass es nur eine Nacht frei war :D

It took us a while to get used to working the oven but did so in the end.

Great attention to detail, mosquito candles, tea, coffee, jams etc. The outdoor grill was a nice touch and all the utensils, oil, cleaning equipment was provided. Best shower we had in 14 rooms on our trip! Loads of information on things to do. Highly recommend.

The first house was a litte bit difficult to come in by strooler and hardly no sun. The more expensive one with 2 bedrooms was better accisble and had a big pstip ,open space in the forest so much more sun

Reviewed Aug 13, 2025We absolutely loved it! Perfectly set in the middle of nature, yet close to all the must-do sights. Everything was easy to get to – even grocery stores were less than a 30-minute drive away. The cabins are spotless and beautifully located. Spending the nights feeling as if you’re deep in the forest was an absolute highlight. The windows are well-fitted with mosquito screens, so bugs weren’t a problem at all – at least not inside. ;) We felt completely comfortable and truly enjoyed our stay. Courtnay is an incredibly friendly host and always easy to reach. We can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Needed a good cleaning. Cobwebs everywhere and floors dirty. But bathroom, kitchen and overall area clean. A fan would have been a nice addition to cool down from the heat if the day or a screen door on the front so air could flow through.

While I understand the space constraints, the bathroom could be made more functional by replacing the existing showerhead with a handheld version, which would better accommodate the limited shower cabin.
