The only thing I could think of, missing a microwave.

Easy communication, showed flexibility and understanding when we were forced to check in later than expected, lovely continental breakfast and beautiful view of the maunga.

Mehr als Platinium das ist Diamant-Standard. Sehr gepflegte Unterkunft mit nur wenigen Einheiten. Die Zimmer sind luxuriös eingerichtet, das Bett ist gross und das Badezimmer mit einer Dusche diekt neben einer ganz zu öffnenden Doppeltüre gibt einem fast das Gefühl einer Luxus-Outdoor-Dusche. Die Aussicht und parkähnliche Umgebung runden den Eindruck ab. P.S. Danke für das Frühstück.

The lodge is nicely located in a rural area with a great view of Taranaki. Rooms have large windows with Taranaki views and easy access to the outside patio. A good continental breakfast.

The counter space was a little small.

Vista maravilhosa, quarto enorme e super confortável. A banheira é ótima. Foi o melhor hotel de minha viagem, super recomendo.

La habitación está decorada con mucho gusto, la cama comodísima, las vistas al monte Taranaki es una fantasía. Encima, el poder darte un relajante baño de burbujas, no hay palabras.

Wunderbare Lage, Gebäude und grosser Garten sehr gepflegt. Alles sehr sauber. Sehr ruhige Lage. Sehr komfortabel. Äusserst freundliche und und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Exzellent!

This was my favorite place that I stayed on a two week trip on both islands. The view is gorgeous, rooms are comfortable and beautiful and the property has gardens and little trails that are perfect for an evening stroll after a day on the volcano.

Beautiful location - can see Mt Egmont out each room! Continental breakfast was great, and Trish was very helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here on our next visit to the area!

It was so nice the bath was amazing the bed was huge and comfy

Only thing which isn’t even a biggy was tv was small but that’s only because my eyesight is terrible so was hard to see but it was still amazing place

We stayed with Trish, husband and her dog Rusty and everything was perfect. We like a light breakfast and some dishes already prepared, so there is no hazzle in the morning and getting up is easy. Excellent shower and bedding, pool was great. Trish is a perfect host and it's good laughing with here. She also gave us a good advice for a restaurant near Palmerston North. Thanks again.

Only one thought: if you have better chairs outdoors, that would be convenient for rather big (fat 🫣) guys like us 😉

Hard to cook food in the room - but that made it smell sweet!!!

Wonderful location, beautiful view of Taranaki, fantastic and restful gardens, well presented accommodation, lovely hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Continental breakfast provided was very nice. However, there was no facility for catering for meals (this could quite simply be rectified with a little re-design) and, of course, the obligatory NZ penitential seating!

Lovely rooms, had literally EVERYTHING you needed- from road maps to every flavour tea going. Loved the jacuzzi bath, a relaxing touch. Rooms were impeccable. Had a lovely garden space to the rear which had views of Mount Taranaki (unfortunately was too cloudy to see) but beautiful non the less. Hosts were lovely, we chatted for ages on arrival and they gave us some really handy tips for our journey.

Beautiful property with everything you need

Peaceful, well laid out and well maintained. The grounds were very beautiful. Our “welcoming committee” was Trish and her delightful 4 legged companion Rusty.

The couch for us past a certain age was very nice, just a bit low for us.

Das ist eine wunderschöne, ruhige Lodge. Obwohl wir kein Frühstück bestellt hatten, bekamen wir kurzfristig ein feines Frühstück im Zimmer.

Wunderschöne, gepflegte Anlage. Sehr stylisch eingerichtetes Zimmer mit modernem Bad und Gartenzugang.

Fantastische locatie, vriendelijke mensen en een kamer met alle voorzieningen die je nodig hebt. Op een goede dag heb je prachtig uitzicht op de berg. Helaas hier maar 1 nacht doorgebracht, wij waren graag langer gebleven!

Great accommodation and host was fantastic. Meet me when I arrived late and exhausted, breakfast ready for me in case I wished to leave early in the morning. Would definitely stay again.

Os detalhes foram muito bem pensados. Entramos no local e havia tudo o que precisávamos. Nossa reserva incluía café da manhã, que já foi deixado na geladeira após o check in. Toalhas e roupas de cama muito limpos e cheirosos. O local está situado a 17 minutos de Dawson Falls, sendo que da varanda da acomodação é possível enxergar o Mt. Taranaki!!!

The area is very quiet and rural. You have a nice view of the mountain from the room (which we could see once the clouds lifted for a short while at sunset!). Comfortable bed and couch. The spa bath was a bonus - it made the stay feel quite luxurious. Friendly hosts. Good breakfast provided in the fridge (the yoghurt was particularly nice). Short drive to the mountain lookout as well as to the beautiful Goblin Forest walking trail. Easy drive in to Stratford for dinner.

There was not any space to put things on or next to the washbasin in the bathroom.

Lodge has a quiet location in the country outside of town. Friendly host with a sweet dog.

The lodge is in a beautiful, serene location and was incredibly comfortable and clean.

Great place to stay with a view of Taranaki but unfortunately it was very cloudy during our stay. The place is maintained clean and easy access around the Stratford area and the mountain. The Jacuzzi with a view was the highlight of this place. Definitely recommended. Regards, Vinoth

Modern, clean, beautifully decorated among beautiful grounds. Peaceful and relaxing. Comfortable bed. Spa tub was huge but not straightforward to operate. Close to mountain. Wish we had better weather to open doors to garden and see Mt Taranaki. Nice breakfast that you prepare yourself in-room. Super friendly owner.

Loved our stay, great location, beautiful breakfast and great view of the mysterious Mount Taranaki. We got so lucky we got to see the mountain on our last day as it was always hidden

With Mt Taranaki as a garden backdrop, these little units are adorable! Beautifully presented, spotless, good brekkie provisions (homemade apple compote, muesli) and whole meal bread/muffins with jams, honey and peanut butter. Coffee pot with delish coffee provided. Spa in bathroom for relaxing soak. And….gorgeous Rusty, cavoodle, to pat when you are missing your own pooch. Really enjoyed the stay!!

The room was clean and comfortable with a great bath area.

The location was stunning with breathtaking views of of Taranaki. The gardens and well manicured lawns just enhanced the experience & views. Trish was a lovely hostess and a kind and considerate Manager, providing warm freshly baked biscuits and milk for our coffee on arrival. The milk was put in the old fashioned 300ml glass bottles, which was a nostalgic & environmentally thoughtful touch. Loved the experience.

The peacefull atmosphere of the property and my favourite part was the spa bath facing the mountain, private enough to have the door open to enjoy the landscape whilst soaking. Clean,tidy and great hosts.

Secluded with stunning views. Spacious and comfortable with a fantastic shower. Loved the freshly baked muffins on arrival.

Lots of flies in the room when we arrived and no fly spray provided.

Started relaxing as soon as we stepped in the door. Beautiful surroundings, comfortable bed, enjoyed a soak in the spa bath. Just perfect! Very friendly and welcoming hosts.

Was a last minute decision to stay here and we were over the moon once we saw where we would be staying. Rooms are spacious, tidy, comfortable and beautifully presented. After a long few days of travelling, the spa bath was exceptional. To top it off, there was a huge tea selection to choose from. Beds were super comfortable and could not recommend this as a place to stay enough.
