The place is so serene, clean and comfortable. At night, there are flying insects pero expected ito since nasa bundok ang home stay. Waking up with a nice view and quiet surroundings, nakakacalm ng mood. 😊 Ate Claire, the owner, is very maasikaso and checks on us regularly if we are comfortable and what are our needs. She also recommended tours na magmatch sa preference namin and made sure we are well taken care of by the tour guide. This is one of my memorable travels in the PH.
Location, grounds and the owners, Claire and Butch
The host, Claire, was incredible—her warmth, attention to detail, and expert trail advice made our stay unforgettable. We loved the authenticity of staying in a traditional Ifugao house, and the serene, peaceful atmosphere was the perfect way to experience the 2,000-year-old Rice Terraces. Even during a local brownout, Claire went above and beyond by bringing a kettle of hot water so I could experience a traditional 'tabo' shower. The local porters are also "superhuman"—watching them navigate rainy stairs with heavy luggage in slides was amazing!
I wish I had stayed longer. Everything was amazing!!!
Really traditional, but modern. Beautiful garden area for each house.
Nothing. Honestly, just lovely.

We loved everything about the property. The owner and host (Claire and Jose) of the guesthouse was very welcoming. She told us the story of home they came about building the guesthouse. The guesthouse was situated up on a hill overlooking the town and some rice terraces. We encountered a little rain but it was okay. I preferred it cooler. We stayed in a traditional Ifugao house with a bathroom and shower, a full size buck bed below and a twin on top. Mattress and sheets were perfect for the cooler weather. Shower came with a heater connected to warm up the cold water. Water Temperature was perfect. Claire was very attentive when what we needed. She preferred breakfast every morning while we were there. She cooked a perfect eggs and hotcakes for us. Had coffee or tea that was always ready. She arrange our tour guide (Clarita) to Batad and she explain the story of the places we visited. I will request Clarita again the next time I visit. We were arrange a tricycle ride with Lance who was a nice guy. He took us to all the viewpoints that Claire explained we should visit. She recommended places to eat for lunch and dinner because the guesthouse for now is only serving breakfast and is working on a full kitchen. All in all, I highly recommend and I would stay at Baleh Boble Guesthouse again.
I had nothing I didn’t like. I wish we stayed longer because there are so many more places to explore.
This is a very special place run very efficiently by the very friendly and welcoming owner, Claire. The hotel is a little out of town but they offer free transfers down to the town and it's restaurants (as they haven't yet finished building their kitchen). The hotel is situated in delightful gardens with fabulous views over the valley and some rice terraces (we had a stunning sunrise one morning). It offers "normal" hotel rooms and has 3 traditional Ifuago houses. These are small, built off the ground, accessed up a very short ladder. Our Ifuago house had a double bed, a single and bunk. It was beautifully presented with wooden furnishings and immaculately clean, with excellent bedding. Our private loo and hot shower were in a separate building just 5 metres away. Again, very well presented and clean. Breakfast was served in the restaurant: bread, jams, fresh fruit, choice of eggs, tea and coffee. Very nice - again with views over the valley. Claire can recommend restaurants and arrange transport and tour guides. She was very efficient. She arranged a Jeepney drive over to the Hapau rice terraces and Bogyah hot springs, and tricycles down to town. This was a wonderful place to stay - we loved it. Thank you, Claire.

Lovely guest house with cosy huts with wonderful gardens and views. Claire and Jose are very welcoming hosts. Claire makes wonderful breakfasts and can arrange tours, whilst Jose happily drives you to the local restaurants in the evening. A special find.
L’accueil

Rien.
Claire, The owner, Is whom you want to meet, while you are a guest. She is so nice, friendly and hospitable. The place is very spatial, calm, "with a soul" and esthetic.
The mattress is a bit slippery.

Baleh Boble Guesthouse and the host Claire were absolutely wonderful!! Claire goes out of her way to make you feel at home and was very helpful setting us up with a local guide. Banaue was the highlight of our vacation to the Philippines and I would highly recommend this accommodation!
We stayed in a gorgeous hut which had the best views of the sunrise over the rice terraces. It was comfortable, had hot running water and plenty of space for my husband and our 16 year old son. Claire and Jose were super helpful arranging an airport pick up for us at 3am and also helping us get a bus back to the airport. They really went above and beyond to ensure that we were well looked after. Would thoroughly recommend staying there if you get the chance!
Nothing!
Beautiful view. Great location. Owner Claire was very nice, helpful, and gave good advice with everything like the excursions, a barbecue, and transport.
No fridge in the room.
Very warm welcome, beautiful views, lovely homestay. Hosts were friendly, helpful and approachable.
Nothing.
The place is so serene and peaceful! If you're looking for the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature, Baleh Boble Guest House is definitely the best place to stay at Banaue. Aside from the beautiful surroundings, the owners are incredibly kind and accommodating! Surprisingly, we were the only Filipino guests during our stay the rest were Europeans! Hehe. It just shows how warm and welcoming the owners are to everyone. Thank you so much, Ma'am Claire, for making our Holy Week vacation so special. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back! ❤️ -Fidel & Lauren
A wonderful experience of the beautiful mountain area of Banaue. Claire and Jose taught me so much about the traditional life and Ifagau buildings, and they have beautiful originals in their glorious garden. They were tremendously helpful in organising everything I needed, including transport, and a great guide for the ancient rice terraces. A truly delightful experience, thank you so much!
Our hostess, Claire, is a bit of an idealist endeavoring to create a real Ifugao experience for her guests. The guesthouse is situated outside the city center which makes it relatively peaceful. Claire is building a new kitchen and plan to offer traditional dishes. In the meantime Jose brings and picks up guests to/from restaurants in town. He is also a great driver and guide. We were treated very well by Claire and Jose!
Not much WiFi in the huts.
It’s a cozy and clean hut, with the breathtaking views right in front- it’s amazing to watch the sunrise. Claire was very attentive and helpful. Beautiful flowers and plants all over the place, pond with fish, and unique furnitures & fixtures mostly designed by the owners make it very special.
It would have been better if they have a restaurant on site or even just a menu for room service at night.
Despite the one we got is not what we originally booked but a replacement because of me rebooking the date, it is still very a nice for our family of 4. The room and aesthetics is very nice and well design.
During our visit, they are not offering breakfast yet, but I believe they are working on offering this in the future. It will be a nice addition, especially tourist like us needs to fuel our day of adventure.
Our wonderful host Claire was full of information and enthusiasm for the culture of the region. She went out of her way to help us. Thank you. Baleh boble is character property with traditional rustic buildings fitted out with more modern conveniences lending itself to a memorable stay for our family trip.
The location was ideal and the overall establishment was very well kept with a boutique touch. The host was superb and went the extra mile to facilitate all our needs. Very accommodating
First things first: Claire and Butch are the most friendly and warm hearted hosts that you can even imagine. Me and my wife, we travel a lot and we we have experienced some really good home stays, but, no where so far we have felt as much at home and so warmly welcomed like in Baleh Bobleh (the home in the village). The hosts are extremely child friendly and supported us in about anything. We have stayed in a traditional Ifugao Pole house, which however was equpped with amenities of modern times. Beds, room and bathroom really clean and the beautiful garden around our hut was like a little paradise. Claire is an excellent cook and we never felt that anything was lacking.
It would be really hard to find anything one might not like about this homestay. Honestly, I can not find anything! Maybe worthy to note, that it is not located inside the the little town, but up the hill, which actually means that you have a wonderful mountain view from the garden. Still, the market is in walking distance and trycycles are easily available
Clean Friendly
Steps !!
The family were lovely, nothing too much trouble for them. Lovely basic breakfast. And what a sunrise. Everything to do in the area can be organised once you get to the home stay
Nothing
Well located, typical houses from this region and rooms were very well furnished and comfortable. The host Claire was extremely kind and helpful. She handled all the tours with transportation and guide for us, prepared very good organic breakfasts every morning. We also asked for laundry service and she cleaned our clothes for the next day.
NA
Very pleasant houses with very nice garden. We arrived with the night bus and Claire organized a pickup to the hotel, organized tours for our stay and was overall very helpfull and friendly. We had a very nice breakfast every morning and loved to hang out in the garden after a tour to the rice terraces.
The cottage is perfectly presented. We loved the view out the front door. Claire and Jose are the most friendly hosts.
Very welcoming hosts who gave lots of information about the local area. The breakfast was very tasty. The gardens and view were lovely. The place was very clean.
Bathroom area was cold.
The hosts Claire and Jose were incredible. They were very friendly, very helpful in arranging our site seeing excursions. The room very nice over looking the mountainsides. The resort was very clean. We would recommend it to others that are visiting the rice terraces.
House owner is really friendly
Breakfast- very expensive for food choices
Super friendly and staff tried to anticipate every need. Beautiful views.
Steep steps might be a challenge for some.
The owner of this place is incredibly friendly and hospitable. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with a warm smile and a genuine sense of welcome. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests feel comfortable and at ease. Whether it's offering helpful recommendations or simply engaging in friendly conversation, the owner's warmth and hospitality truly enhance the overall experience.
Nothing.
The owners are the best people that you can find in Luzon. Butch and Claire literally saved our holidays, helping us to solve a difficult circunstance. The place itself is in another league compared to the rest in banahue, which is quite rough. If you go to Banaue, don't go to any other place, and if you plan to do the trip on your own, consult them first, as they will give you valuable advise that you can trust - I cannot stress enough how kind and helpful the owners are.
That I can only give a 10 - I should give them a 20/10
Such an incredible place with passionate hosts. The location and ambience is fantastic and the rooms are so authentic and cozy with great views. I had a great time and the kindness of the owners is unbelievable (they provided early check-in and late checkout which was a blessing due to the hectic bus schedule, they cooked amazing vegan food for me and it was delicious). They also arranged local transportation and tour guide which is super needed in the area. I truly recommend to stay in Baleh Boble to experience the best of Banaue.
We loved our stay here, the little cottages are beautiful and spotless. The owner is absolutely amazing and helped us organising trips and more. Above and beyond expectations.
The long trip up to the mountains was immediately offset by the landscape that Baleh Boble offered. Lush greens and vibrant blooms contrasted marvelously with the cottage and traditional Filipino hut aesthetic. Natural sounds of animals and insects at night and early dawn, cool spring waters to drink and wash oneself with, a panoramic view of Tam-an village, Ifugao coffee to swoon over, and very friendly staff. Claire, our host, provided info and tour tips that helped us immensely and Kuya Butch, Kuya Salvador and Kuya William took care of us during our entire stay.
The fact we couldn't stay for more days.
Amazing blend of the old ifugao mountain traditions and modern conveniences. Claire and Butch are warm and welcoming. Claire will tell you all the history of the area and Bitch will guide you. Truly a wonderful experience
Amazing hosts: Claire helped arrange our tours, explained the local culture, let us check- in early after a night bus,... . Beautifull traditional huts. We absolutely loved everything about it.
the hospitality of the host

The place was cozy and driven by local traditions. The hosts were amazing, and they are the reason to stay at Baleh Boble Guesthouse. Claire and Butch take good care of you and make you feel like at home. Details were nicely taken care of, lightning in case of a power outage was a great example. No need to arrange an extra guide, as Butch is the great one. Not only he has all the needed knowledge, but he also enriches it with his personal memories and stories. Lovely & recommend.
There was actually nothing not to like. Water outrage or pressure could have been stronger, if anything. Nothing really to complain about.
I love everything about the place. The cottages are fully equipped. the ambiance is soo relaxing. Sunrise view is different every day and I truly enjoyed waking up in the morning just to see it. The hosts Claire and Butch are very attentive of our needs. Our trip to Banaue was very memorable and Baleh Boble guesthouse has contributed to this unforgettable experience.
none.
We learned that Baleh Boble means our home in the village. Indeed with Clair and Butch’s hospitality and friendly attitude you’ll feel home away from home. They went out of their way to please us and provided a lot of knowledge about their culture and the area. The guesthouse has a unique design with traditional like architecture lodging and is beautifully decorated with an amazing garden. Clair’s Chicken Adobo is recommended.
Clair is an Angel
Strong wifi is missing
Local lodging style. Superfriendly hosts
Claire and Butch could not have done more to make our stay a wonderful experience. They were passionate about the area and it's history and culture and so helpful in providing information, recommendations and help with trips. The guesthouse was spotless and designed and decorated beautifully. Claire has ensured all rooms have a simple elegance and she has furnished them with a classic style with lots of upcycled and reclaimed items.
It is one of the most expensive places in the area We ordered dinner which was poor and then when we checked other places it turned out that it was also overpriced The owner is friendly
Committed & passionate hosts
We loved everything. The traditional houses are very well done, great to enjoy, and comfortable. The garden is beautiful, with great views of the mountains. It is clear that the lodge was really made with great care and love and attention to detail. The hosts were amazing - very welcoming, really making you feel like home, organizing the tours, and trying to best suit our dietary needs. Claire is an excellent cook, really enjoyed discovering Filipino food through her dishes. Our whole experience was perfect, we were very happy to discover such a wonderful place, and would go back anytime if possible. Many thanks again!!
