Thanks a lot to Beatriz who welcomed us in her home. We loved the location and view from the homestay. Our host was most accommodating with us and arranged day trips for us to navigate and visit the area in a simple manner. Only a short walk from the bus stop and all the town's shops. The room was practical and very clean. Highly recommended!

The owner was a very nice person, she did her best for us to stay confortavel. Her cooking was excelent. It was interesting to stay there and share a piece of the the way of living of the family. Thank you for the chance to experience diferent way of sharing.
The bath was a chalenge... I know that it is not an habit to have up sheet on the bed, but it is not very confortable to sleep only with the blanket on... but it was a diferent experience and we were expecting to live such chalenges on our voyage.
Beatrice, the owner, is just lovely, runs every aspect of the place at the highest level of commitment and desire to satisfy her guests. She's a great cook and cooks everything fresh and delish. The place is spotless and the view is breathtaking from the balcony. Most highly recommend.
The shower was tough. There was hot water, which is not a given, but there isn't a mop to wipe down wet bathroom floor, so it stays wet for hours, which is not comfortable when wanting to go into bathroom for anything other than shower.
Friendly helpful staff who were able to accommodate me when I arrived early. They even arranged for pick up from the bus station, which I was not expecting. They also assisted with arranging tours and helping me plan in order to make the most of my time in Banaue. Good food served on site and a great view as well.
When we travel the world, we always look for places where nature, people, and their culture truly inspire us. If your journey takes you to Banaue Homestay, you're in for a treat—mostly thanks to the incredible Beatriz. Honestly, we've rarely met someone with such an infectious energy on our travels! Beatriz didn’t just host us—she orchestrated an amazing itinerary for our four-day stay in Banaue and the surrounding area. Her cooking? Absolutely delicious, especially the curry dishes (we may or may not have considered smuggling some home). The room and bathroom were spotless, the beds wonderfully comfortable, but the real highlight? Her laughter—so contagious it could probably cure a bad mood in seconds. Beatriz, thank you once again for everything! Wishing you all the best—and never stop spreading that incredible joy!
Beatriz and her family receive us very well. The breakfast is good, pancakes and fried rice were very good. The view from the hotel is very nice and it is a pleasure to take the breakfast on the terrace. The hotel is very clean even if it is old. Beatriz organise for you the visit and transportation which facilitate your journey. She takes care of you. I recommend this hotel which is very affordable and offer a real good ratio quality/price.
Becarefull for the shower that contains some electrical as the heater for the water is an electrical one.
Homely hotel more than a homestay! 'Homestay' suggested to us living as part of the family, but the description sounded more like a hotel and restaurant so we booked it, and I'm glad we did. Beatrix, our host, was very welcoming and friendly, always ready to help, and with a smile. Despite all our enquiries, the only transport we could find from Baguio to Banaue was overnight and arrived at 4am. Even though it was so early, Beatrix immediately sent Mark to pick us up, and even offered us a hot drink upon arrival. Thankfully, she knew of a daytime van for our return to Bagiou, and arranged our tickets. The daytime minibus was very comfortable, picked us up from the homestay, and dropped us off at our hotel (Bloomfield near the SM centre) in Baguio. Nothing was too much trouble for her, including arranging laundry and sewing jobs. Fully recommend the two private guided trips Beatrix organised for us to see various UNESCO rice terraces. Each of our two guides were knowledgeable and personable, making each trip very interesting and enjoyable. Even wet weather on the first day didn't spoil our experience. We had breakfast and dinner at the homestay each day because the food was fresh, delicious and sufficient quantity. Superb view of terraces from our shared balcony and from the restaurant. Our room had two doubles beds, a small double shelf, and not much additional floor space, so we used the second bed to leave our open cases on. The shower was warm enough but had no cubicle or curtain so the water needed mopping up afterwards. However, cleaning implements were conveniently located on the balcony, which also had a covered washing line and clothes pegs. Extremely clean everywhere. Highly recommend. As an earlier reviewer said it is rustic so go with the flow and enjoy Banaue Homestay.
Nothing really
I dont liked the property.
Untidy and the bathroom is not clean. There is no blanket in the bedroom and towels. We decided to look for a decent place and didn’t stay in this hotel.
Beatrice was very kind. She arranged everything for us with a big smile on her face.
Beatriz was fabulous! I called her 11 pm the night before my arrival because my flights were cancelled and I needed to cancel the driver she had booked for me. By 9:30 am the next morning, she had found a driver in Manila to pick me up and drive me to Banaue. I'm sure she stayed up until the wee hours to find this transportation for me. Upon my arrival, I was jet jagged and stressed from a long drive. She greeted me with a hot meal and a smile and set up four great hiking days with guides. She knows everyone there and is a excellent resource!
It would have been a bonus to have hotter water for a shower, but no big deal
Our stay at Banaue Homestay was a nice way to experience the rice fields! Our hosts were very friendly, easily accommodating our requests by being very responsive and helping us to plan the various excursions in the area. Upon our arrival, we were already immersed in the stunning rice fields set up ready for a very good local breakfast served on the amazing terrace! We absolutely recommend the experience!
Great hospitality ! Excellent food.
Perfect host. Very clean . Well situated. Stress free stay. We extended our stay by 4 nights.
Nothing!!
Good view
The tours are overpriced. We had prebooked tours before arrival which were much cheaper. The lady has her own transport and inflats the price. The rooms are very hot. Ask for a fan. The food wasn't as good as 7th Heaven Lodge down the road and staff not as friendly. I would stay at 7th Heaven if I was to return to Banaue.
Beatrice was all we could have hoped for from Communicating before our arrival to arranging us to be met at the bus station and arranging tours, laundry and getting us back to the bus station The views are wonderful and the beds comfortable.and shower very warm . for the price it was great Thoroughly recommended And thank you Beatrice for everything
Beautiful views, lovely staff, tasty food, room basic but very clean
Nothing really - it’s a simple place so come with that in mind.
It was perfect for our travel needs. Everything you need and the most beautiful views with delicious food! The staff and their hospitality was by far the best thing about this property! They were so helpful and accommodating, friendly, warm, and kind. Taking a genuine interest in us. They offered tours and planned everything for us due to our lack of planning. And we only had two days so they helped us get the most out of our time here, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. They booked our tour for the hot springs and Batad, it was truly breathtaking and we had the most wonderful tour guide, Jeffery. He was fantastic and so knowledgeable, he had a great sense of humour and made us feel so welcome. If I could bring all my friends here I would. Truly breathtaking. Thank you so much Bea! 🤩
If you can sleep through the sound of roosters and dogs barking you’ll be fine. I was not used to it so I did not sleep. But still so worth it!
very friendly owner, who prepares delicious food. There is a friendly atmosphere, so that it was a pleasure to also talk to other travelers during meal times. The room is clean, and more than adequate for a homestay in this region.
Beatriz was a fantastic host! She was so so warm, caring and accommodating. The place felt like home.
Very helpful and kind owners The view is incredible
Location and the excellent staff and hostess
No complaints about the property
The location was great, in Banaue but away from the busy centre and views were exceptional. It was very noisy in the mornings but that was the wildlife, so no fault of the property. Beatriz was super kind and helpful.
No complaints
A fabulous homestay. Beatriz was an absolute star and such a lovely character. She organised our treks to the rice terraces and the hot springs which were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. The views across the valley from the dining table were stunning. Breakfast was lovely each day. Everywhere was exceptionally clean. We can not recommend Banaue Homestay highly enough.
Nothing to dislike.
Really convenient location. Love to be back into ‘nature’ with all the surroundings. Beautiful view en the host is absolutely amazing.
Sometimes it can be a bit noisy because of the animals. Bring your earplugs if you’re a light sleeper
Beatriz was really kind and gave me great advices to visit Banaue and Batad !
Most amazing view from our balcony and the host is awesome. She helped organise trips, helped with laundry, taxis….whatever you needed she was there. Best host in our travels so far. Nothing was too much. And what can I say about the food….perfect!
Amazing homestay. Beatriz answered all my questions before my arrival and helped organise tours during my stay. Facilities are spotless clean. Thank you so much!
Beatriz is simply the best host. I showed up and she turned an idea for mg birthday into an event and one for the memory books. She is also a lovely person to chat with and she can arrange pretty much anything you can think of and keep your needs in mind. Met a lot of great folks in the town and enjoyed meeting the guests. Only place to stay and can see why the reviews led me here and exceeded my expectations.
Have the right mindset if you are coming from major cities that this is rustic and a homestay built into sides of the mountains. The shower will be a bit cold, the towel very small, and the soap and other items limited. Would bring your own. Would also bring ear plugs as those roosters and other local noises could wake you up!
Amazing host Breathtaking views She took us at 5.30am as our bus came way earlier. She made sure we got everything we needed and assisted with the trek despite the typhoon 🌀. Our awesome host assisted us with everything Inc bus etc. Guided us through and cooked delicious 😋 food
The view and the closeness to the rice terraces. The host was excellent as well. The food was delicious. The hostess made excellent arrangements for a guide for us for the terraces.
Limited electrical outlets and no soap, shampoo.
Beatriz is a heartwarming lady who is always ready to help you. She prepared for us the best Chicken Adobo we had in our 3 weeks stay in the Philippines! She helped us to organize the day tours we did during our stay. She was also flexible with regards to the use of the room after cheking out, as we could have a shower before our night bus to Manila.
the warm welcome, the organisation, the views and the home cooked food.
it’s rural so quite basic, but it’s beautiful and charming
Everything!

Very welcoming staff who helped us arrange transportations and tours. A home away from home.
Beatriz and her staff were so very helpful! They helped me figure out which were the best options as I only had 3 days in Banaue and really wanted to hike. She also helped me with my many logistics issues (no cash because of no atm, regrouping with friends arriving on different days and times... ) The homestay is cute and cozy, it is very easy to feel at home here.
Beatriz was lovely and very helpful with arranging different tours and transfers for us. She also let us check in early and check out late due to our bus times. This homestay is a great place to stay with an amazing view of the river terraces. It is clean, walking distance to the town and good value for money.
