It was a very quiet and lovely location
The property was "tired" and needed updating. We had to get a new washing machine as ours failed immediately. The showers were very slow to drain resulting in having to stop water often whilst showering Two toilets were blocked upon our arrival and we had to purchase products to clear them and even after clearance they smelt awful
Sehr schade...
Kitchen appliances, noisy plumbing No downstairs shower
Casa pulita ed accogliente
Alcuni dettagli di manutenzione da curare meglio
Beautiful location and the houses were perfect and large for our families
Our multi-generational family recently stayed at Berehaven Lodge for a short getaway, traveling with my older parents. and finding a place that balances comfort for seniors with space can be challenging, but Berehaven delivered a fantastic, peaceful experience overall. We stayed in one of the lodges, which offered plenty of room for everyone to spread out without feeling cramped. The lodge was exceptionally clean, well-heated, and featured comfortable beds that ensured everyone got a great night's sleep.

We had an absolutely wonderful and memorable stay at Berehaven Lodge! From the moment we arrived, our host Julie was fantastic—she was incredibly welcoming and really helped us settle in quickly. The entire house was ours, offering plenty of space, and it was exceptionally tidy with a gorgeous sea view. We were also thrilled with how well our cat was accommodated, which made a huge difference to our trip. The lodge truly felt like a home away from home, and we already can't wait to go back again!
The lodge and facilities were extremely clean, the staff was friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our stay.
Berehaven lodge is set in such a beautiful location, stunning view of the water and the whole area around the lodges were clean and well kept. The lodge itself had literally everything, and it smelled soooo fresh and clean, like a proper washing powder homely smell not like a bunch of chemical sprays.
The only teenie thing is some parts could be updated, like new utensils as a lot were blunt, or chips in cups, some rooms missing light bulbs, but this is so small in comparison to everthing else.
Good view
Every time someone used water the noise from the water tank was soo loud.

Only issues springs in bed upstairs double bed...uncomfortable. Sockets at electrical points one upstairs double bedroom...one downstairs in laundry room. Parking very tight for 2 cars unable to open car doors.
Spotless, homely , modern , tranquil
Beautiful view and well equipped houses
A bit of a distance from town
Couldnt walk into the town
Beautiful Lodge, clean and spacious. Comfortable beds and the scenery was stunning.
Nothing we loved everything
Very peaceful location m. Well laid out.
only in en-suites. Would be great for people with disability to have one shower downstairs.
We loved our week here. We stayed in lodge 8 which had an uninterrupted view and direct access to the bay / stony beach. We dined al fresco all week enjoying the view. Natalie, who was managing the property, was always quick to respond to any issues or questions.
Stayed during the July heatwave, some of the upstairs bed rooms were 30 degrees at night. A couple of standing fans for the rooms would have made sleep more comfortable.
Lodge was spotless with great facilities - beautiful location and lovely staff.
Pity that the restaurant wasn’t open.
The lodge was like a home from home.Had everything we needed and more.Very comfortable and spotless
It’s location was excellent. It was clean and we had everything we needed in the property. The staff were so helpful and friendly
Nothing
Exceptionally clean house with plenty cookware and great location
Nothing - everything perfect
We had a party of 18 with 5 dogs. Natalie and Niamh were very helpful in accommodating our requests (we wanted 3 adding houses near the water) and offered early checkin and late checkout due to the fact that there we're no guests arriving the day we left. Circle k garage was 5 mins drive and had all the supplies needed. Definitely coming back.
Veel achterstallig onderhoud. Meubilair out dated. Warm water met een timer.
Roomy great fireplace good location
Little run down, washer dryer didn’t work & staff unresponsive
The lodges are in a perfect location if you want to relax! It is absolutely beautiful. There’s a small playground to keep the kids busy and there’s a private stony beach too which is gorgeous. Check in was easy and host Natalie was very helpful. Very close to lots of beautiful scenery- mountains and lakes and beautiful to drive around. Would definitely return!
Nothing!
The lodge was very clean and comfortable and the location is beautiful . We enjoyed our time there . It was very peaceful .Contact with the site was good and it was very easy to get in to the property . Plenty of room to relax inside and outside . Not far to get into town by car , with cafes and local shops as well as a supermarket . Beara Peninsular is a great area of Ireland to visit with wonderful scenery and interesting places to spend time at
Perhaps a prominent plan of the site near the entrance to help locate the lodge as it took us a little while to find the right part of the site . We did have a tiny bat get into the lodge but it was quite easy to persuade it to fly out again once it detected an open window . The property is near to woodland so guess it must have got in from there . It's worth reading the instructions about how the hot water works as we didn't give it our full attention and wished we had done so.
Very clean and quiet place. Staff were very responsive when we had a problem.
Very responsive host and location stunning
It would be lovely if the restaurant and bar were open. They’re so close to the lodge and the terrace offers amazing views.
Private, very clean, well kitted out. Spacious for a family of 4, particularly when the weather is not great!
Nothing to complain about!
We loved the location. The people we met were so friendly and provided interesting insights to the area and places to visit.
Nothing
House was comfortable clean and cosy scenery beautiful
Loved erything
Very easy to access, no hassle. Dog friendly. House is bright, good views and generally well equipped, even had a decent utility room for all the mucky gear.
Could benefit from a tiny bit of maintenance/touch ups for general wear and tear.
Quiet, great location, warm & clean
No hooks to hang any wet gear, food bin bags didn’t fit, woukd habe been good to have all house cleaning stuff in one area so easy to find . Otherwise all good
Beautiful location .
The mattress on the bed down stairs was very uncomfortable.
On valide a 100% 👍👍👍
The lodge was perfect comfortable, great location beautiful scenery lodge was very well equipped had everything we needed
I honestly can say there was nothing that we didnt like
Lovely location, fine house
Very noisy boiler and no hot water to have showers. Also v expensive, not worth the price!
The location is wonderful and not crowded, and great to explore less crowded areas around the Beara peninsula. The manager was quick to react when we had a problem at check in.
The property is quite old and run down. Needs upgrades throughout (windows, plumbing, ceilings…).
Beautiful setting and great base for the area
Pity the restaurant wasn’t open
Beautiful view, very spacious house
All good
We looked after our own meals.
We were very satisfied with our days in Berehaven. It is in a lovely location.
We stayed in number 10 which was super bright and clean, freshly painted and very comfortable. Right on the pier so kids were delighted and spent so much time in the water and fishing.
The location was beautiful and quiet. Having access to a small beach was perfect and highly recommend hiring the hot tub as extra because that was well used by us.
Very little options for charging our electric vehicle in the area.
Views of the local scenery.
It would have been nice if the restaurant was open.
Basically, OK
This is a warning that you will not get the house advertised in the pictures. There are more than 10 houses and the pictures are the best of bread of everything, including a restaurant that is closed. No nice terrace for this and no view of the lake but of the neighbours and the bins. There is no water pipe but a very, very loud water pump so every time you use the tap or toilet it is a very loud noise in the house. That's annoying if you stay at home because of the weather. There are a lot of things to fix: Door handle for one bedroom was broken so you can hardly open There were ants in the kitchen Dishwasher was broken because it is missing the track at the top basket One of the kitchen cabinet doors were broken and the toaster toasts rather on one side than both sides and burns the toast very quickly, even on the lowest temperature When we arrived, we started cleaning the kitchen, especially the six chairs at the main table.
Lodge 8 was perfect with a lovely view & very comfortable.
Plumbing - leak from the bathroom.
Views were fabulous
House a little dark inside
Really quiet and felt safe with young kids Location Very peaceful Very clean
Restaurant closed Velux blinds broken
Location and house really good
Nil
Good location, close to town and overall very pretty, and nice houses. The glamping pods looked cute too, though did not stay in them.
There were plumbing issues in the house we stayed in. There was often no water (hot or cold) in the bathrooms and it would end abruptly.
Very good location and excellent services
Location, accomodation, services
Location is fantastic. Well placed for trips out
The restaurant was closed
We were thrilled to discover that our Lodge was so close to the water’s edge. It was such a fabulous surprise particularly as we were fortunate enough to enjoy the extraordinary weather of last week. The supervisor Natalie was a delight to deal with. We would definitely recommend and will hopefully return.
The only criticism we would make is that the bath in the main bathroom which appeared to be a jacuzzi - didn’t work.
The location and setting was absolutely perfect. We were a group in ages from 2-65 and everyone absolutely loved what was available on site from the lovely little playground, to the private rock beach, and just the overall peace and tranquility of the the site - it was gorgeous!
It would have been great if the on-site restaurant was open as we would have loved to have eaten there - but definitely next time!
Great location with excellent views. Both house and grounds very well maintained and well equipped.. Ample parking. Gold star to Natalie for best hospitality I've ever encountered- she was so helpful and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed.
The lodges are beautiful, surrounded by mature gardens, lovely view over the water, ideal break from the hustle of everyday life. Quite and secluded but close to Castletownbere.
Overall I wasn't disappointed, check out is early, 10am but understandable to allow for the next guests arriving.
The beds
Leaking tap. We were disappointed to find a kitchen tap that was leaking because we had read in the previous reviews about a leaking tap. The expectations were to find it fixed. We are not sure whether the reviews are taken serious or it's just a formality.
