We loved the location and the house had everything we needed
There was nothing we didn't like
V comfortable & peaceful. Short walk into the Town. Great base/stop off for exploring the area & beyond 😊
Warm, cosy, kitchen well equipped, really big bathroom.
Nothing really
The ownership kindness and even gave me extra oats. It is a sweet spot for a cyclist.
Cute little spot. Clean, comfy, and a great location to explore the local area.
knus huisje, goed geoutilleerd, met goede bedden
je moet naar buiten als je naar de toilet wil, want die is in het "halve" huisje. Het uitzicht is minder mooi dan de foto doet vermoeden
Unique accommodation, great location just a short walk into town. Very comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. Would definitely return.
Excellent location. Equipped with everything we needed. Great Shower and toilet area. Quite.
No hot water from taps.
Well equipped kitchen, sunny aspect. Large bathroom
Die Lage. Das Tinyhouse steht inmitten von Einfamilienhäusern. Das Bad ist das linke Tinyhouse. Der Gang ist offen zu sehen.
Location was perfect. Was lovely and compact and had everything you would need. Host had an electric blanket on the bed. You would need it this time of year.
Nothing. It was perfect
The pod was nice, well equipped with kitchen equipment etc. with a comfy bed and an electric heater to make it as cosy as needed. The host Jacinta communicated very well, and was available if needed.
Dislikes would be too strong, but there were some issues. We were only there for one night, so didn’t trouble the host with them, as it would have taken up too much of our limited time. But we wanted to provide an honest review so that it might prove helpful to host and users. There is still an insect/bug issue, as mentioned in previous comments. Most noticeable in the shower and bathroom, where there were quite a lot of wood lice. They are harmless, but they were off putting and we didn’t use the bathroom much as a result, especially the shower. The pods are nice, but the surroundings aren’t great, and the views are poor. More pictures showing the actual location would be helpful. To be honest, for the price, we expected more. Other things would just be suggestions to make it more comfortable. Such as a rug in the kitchen/sitting area, as the floor is quite cold at this time of the year, and maybe some instructions for the light switches in the kitchen area. We only figured that out the next morning when reading previous review comments. Also useful would be some kind of timed heater in the bathroom to keep it relatively warm, as it gets cold when not in use, so it’s not the best when popping out to the toilet in the evening or during the night. We didn’t want to just leave it on permanently as it could use a lot of electricity. A timed heater to keep it ambient might also help with the wood lice issue, as they are attracted to damp, cold conditions. Overall, while it’s a nice idea, the ambiance doesn’t live up to expectations and we definitely felt the price didn’t reflect the offering.
Host were friendly and helpful with the facilities cleaned properly.
The view you have is of the back of an old house, not as advertised! The free parking is over the road on a bad section where your car may be knocked by a bad or drunk driver. The bathroom/ shower and toilet is in a separate pod that is located next to your separate sleeping and kitchen unit, which means you have to leave your warm unit into the cold outside to access the toilet if you need it in the middle of the night.
Spinnen und Käfer v.a. im Bad, vereinzelt auch in der Unterkunft. Dusche schimmelt.
Quaint and quirky. Host was very pleasant and generally helpful
The front door had been splintered and would not lock properly and the heating wasn’t working so we had to use the fan heater from the bathroom. The outside bathroom passageways was very slippery in the rain
I liked the quirkiness, the uniqueness and the electric blanket.
As an older person and used to a higher toilet that would be my only failing.
Muy comodo, buena ubicación
Basic but nice
Jacinta was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Nice welcome basket of goodies. Very quiet location with outdoor table on private patio. Kitchen has every appliance you could think of.
Can't think of anything!
Great location, 10 minutes walk from the town. Beara Way accessable by foot from this acommmodation. Plenty of kitchen equipment for self-catering, and bed was comfortable.
While we knew when booking that the toilet and shower were in a seperate little pod, we were surprised this didnt have a key to lock it, or even a little bolt on the inside! The lock on the door to main pod is a little dodgy, and the door itself isnt sealed well if the weather was cold. While the property is superficially clean, some items were grimy and need replacing, e g kitchen bin and dustpan/brush.
Quirky place and very cosy. Comfy bed. Very well equipped kitchenette appliance wise (air fryer, microwave, toasted sandwich maker). Short walk into town.
For the price, there should at least have been some teabags in the kitchen! Also the lights in the kitchenette are not working.
Lovely location, ideal for a weekend stay
No key to lock toilet/shower next door
Gadgets in kitchen, Comfort, underfloor heating.
Popping next door for the.loo.
Could not have asked for anymore! Well equipped with everything you need bar yourself and your clothes
The location was nice in a very quiet area but yet within walking distance to the town. Nice views from the seating area. The pod itself had everything we needed for our stay bonus points for the air-fryer . The bathroom pod was enormous . The bed was extremely comfortable had a great nights sleep.
On arrival had no idea how to get in but we asked one of the neighbors in a nearby house who explained the keys were probably in the door. Rang the owner and she put us right also,
Lovely pod , very comfortable stay
The air fryer and hot plate stopped working but we used microwave
The location was very quiet and private. The host was exceptional and kind. The location and area was excellent . I loved the old style township. Drives along the Beara Peninsula were breathtaking
Nothing i can think of
Beautiful location and only a short walk into Castletownbere. The pods were spotlessly clean with a super comfy bed! Kitchen and bathroom were very well equipped. I was staying here on my own while attending a retreat in nearby Dzoghen Beara and I booked the pods very last minute. Jacinta the host, was very helpful and accommodating. A lovely safe place to have stayed in as I was travelling by myself.
Delighted with everything.
Lovely comfortable stay. Very cosy and warm and very close to the town.
The little pod was very cute. The bed had a electrical blanket on which helped alot as we were there in winter. The snacks that the host ( i think her name is Jacinta) left us was very kind of her and made us feel special. Although the bathroom is separate from the room it was not a isue and it was nice and cozy.
The door handle and one of the lights probably need maintenance but we have managed.
Very nice and special tiny house with excellent bathroom in the additional half house! Own terrace with harbour view and neighbour cat. Ring of Beara is much nicer than Ring of Kerry, and this is a very nice spot to stay!
Very nice place, very nice host. We loved it
Jacinta was very friendly, pleasant and very welcoming. We loved the experience of the pod. It was very comfortable, warm and cosy and well equipped. The location was ideal to tour the peninsula. We loved our stay and would definitely return again.
We were very pleased with our stay. Great value for money. No complaints.
To be honest we were a bit anxious about the split buildings but had no need to worry. We had a great stay, very comfortable and very well equipped main pod with ample kitchen utensils and seating and great bathroom. We had a great five days , very quiet all the time. Even though houses are in close proximity it is very private. Only visitor was a friendly black cat..Jacinta was a great host, lovely treats on arrival and any request was no problem. Robert advised us on where to visit.. Perfect for walking into castletownbere and to the ferry for Bere Island.
Nothing really, even the odd day of mist and rain didn't cause us any problems.. If it was raining drying wet gear in the bathroom pod work fine. Towels didn't dry off but they were replaced when we asked .
Very clean, well kept property. Everything thing you need is there, toilet and shower are located 'next door' to the pod with bedroom, kitchen facilities. A short 5mins walk into the village. Safe and no issues at all.
Everything we needed for a relaxing stay.Great kitchen with all appliances needed.Lovely bathroom with great shower and even a dressing table.Very comfy bed and only a short walk to the town.Very helpful host.
Everything was great
Within walking distance of town while allowing easy access to Beara Peninsula. You could cone and go as you pleased.
No negatives
Cosy ‘living’ pod with underfloor heating and some cooking facilities (microwave, air fryer, single electric stovetop ring - no oven). The bed was comfortable. It was within walking distance to the town/harbour and castletownbere is a good base for this area.
Too much like camping. The details didn’t say you needed to walk outside from the ‘living’/sleeping pod to the toilet/shower pod which is not great if the weather is bad or if you need it in the middle of the night. The toilet/shower pod has no heating apart from an electric fan heater which you can turn on when you enter. This pod seemed a bit neglected and needed the floor tiles re-grouting and the tile area around the outside of the shower cleaning. On arrival there was a towel laid in front of the door as water comes in when raining. There were lots and lots of wood lice crawling around in this pod as well which is ok if you like them! The outside area could also do with a tidy up and there was a broken sun umbrella lying on the floor. It all felt a bit unloved when you first arrived.
lovely and clean warm bed was comfortable lots of sockets available the shower was amazing great power and perfect temperature setting
for the price there was no tv it was a lot closer to other houses than the pictures lead us to believe not convenient having the bathroom in a. separate building there were a few bugs and insects in the bathroom heard lots of talking and people outside the accommodation most of the night
Great place, super comfy and everything needed for a couple of days.
All good
Comfy bed. All the mod-cons. Short walk to the town.
Room smelled very strongly of dog food. You had to go outside to get to the bathroom/shower, not good if it were raining.
Very short walk to the shop’s and restaurants. Very peaceful at night easy to relax.
Clean and nice property with absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay!
Very clean, practical and comfortable

We loved this place it was so cozy and comfortable. The peace an tranquility was so lovely and yet we could walk into the town it was perfect ☺️
The property was clean and tidy, the staff was very welcoming and made sure I was looked after.
The only thing that was an issue was finding the location. There are two villas with the same name so I was brought to the wrong place by google maps initially as the tomb one is the one that is pinned on maps. I realised that there were two after realising I reached a dead end with houses that were not finished. The address needs to be clearly eircoded with direct info.
Lovely cabin, had everything needed, would stay again if in area
Bathroom outside in other cabin but was your own private bathroom. Very warm arriving but cooled down by night time
Loved my stay. Perfect base to explore the surrounding area. Well-equipped pod.
The pod didn’t cope very well with the unseasonably hot weather! Reached over 40 degrees inside when outside temperatures were maximum 25 degrees. The bench outside with parasol was greatly appreciated!
A lovely duo combination of studio style living room, kitchen and bedroom with separate LARGE shower and toilet room. 15 minute slow walk into town, quiet and benefits from being in a low density housing area and not a camping/clamping site.
No complaints whatsoever!
This is a 5 star pod, the hosts are absolutely fantastic to deal with, extremely friendly and helpful. The room was stunning, clean, cozy and so comfortable, in a great location.
I loved everything about the pod, nothing to dislike.
Absolutely ideal location, only a short walk into the town and close to pubs and restaurants. Really cosy and private accommodation, feels like your own tranquil little space. A perfect base to explore West Cork and the Beara Peninsula! Would highly recommend!
stunning place. really well done up and it has lots of cooking facilitates. very cosy vibe and a great size/spacious. beautiful area with lots to do around. perfect for a couples weekend getaway. host was fantastic!
No breakfast available to us, stay only however there are cooking facilities in the room so no issues at all;))
The room was cleaned but I found something in the room that made it apparent that it was not cleaned thoroughly!
Everything
A lot of spiders and other bugs
Excellent host and location
Perfect location for travelling around surrounding area
Super easy to communicate with host and the treats in the room were great. Marvellous locations and overall a great spot!
Location was excellent with a view overlooking Castletownbere. Host Robert was very helpful and informative anytime I needed to contact him. Got to see the best of the coastline from Castletownbere to Kenmare and a day trip to Glengarriff too. And to top it off, a day on Bere Island with Spring sunshine all day. Hope to make it back someday.
Great location, short walk into the town. Great to have a space for our sole use. Fresh milk, tea, coffee and sugar were supplied which was a lovely touch. We stayed in early Feb so it was chilly. I believe underfloor heating is being added soon. There is no connecting door between the living area/bedroom and the very large bathroom. This wasn’t a big issue for us but may be an issue for others. There was a great large walk in shower
It was a lovely property, very nice chalet style. Lovely place to stay in Castletownbere!
booked last minute. owner called straight away and place was ready on arrival. really good choice. quirky and comfortable.
nice cosy warm place to spend the night, everything clean and even had fresh milk left in the fridge
Charming little house great for couple. Coffee, tea, fresh milk and cereals available for guests. Also Wifi available.
I really liked the idea of the huts they built with the view of the ocean all in all it was a really cozy two nights for the Christmas holidays and for Christmas Day brought us a lovely dinner which was much appreciated
the diameter of the pans were too big to cook on the portable cooker
