Cabins are pretty small, there is no much place to comfortably sit for more than 2 persons so I would say no a great place for longer stay for 3 persons. There is one big downside howling dogs, a lot of dogs :(

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026A very special place with a lovely atmosphere. Beautiful surroundings, stylish and comfortable accommodation and very friendly staff. Everything felt peaceful and authentic. The breakfast was absolutely perfect, with great attention to quality and detail. There is also the option of having dinner at the excellent on-site restaurant, which is much more than just a meal – it is a wonderful experience in itself. A perfect choice for a stay in Alta, especially if you are looking for something a little different from a standard hotel.
Nothing really. We only stayed for one night and would have happily stayed longer.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Gorgeous setting just outside Alta. The cabins and facilities seemed to blend perfectly into the landscape. The upstairs reading area was delightful. I would love to see it in winter time.
As it is a working husky centre the dogs can be noisy at times, so just bring earplugs. However, the positives of being near the dogs far outweigh the negatives!

Nous avons dîné au restaurant, repas délicieux.Bon petit déjeuner.
Accueil sympathique. Cependant manque de convivialité, pas de contacts avec nos hôtes durant le séjour, nous n'avons vu personne lors de notre départ...

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Trasti & Trine Boutique Hotel durante il nostro viaggio in moto si è rivelato uno dei posti più belli in cui abbiamo soggiornato. Immerso nel bosco, offre camere curate e un’atmosfera autentica e rilassante. Il valore aggiunto è la presenza di circa 70 husky da slitta che vivono qui. Anche in estate, quando non c’è neve, è possibile incontrarli e interagire con loro: un’esperienza davvero emozionante. La cena nel piccolo ristorante è stata un’altra piacevole sorpresa. Cucina locale, ingredienti del territorio e piatti preparati con grande attenzione, il tutto in un ambiente intimo e accogliente, lontano dal lusso freddo e ostentato. Anche la colazione la mattina è semplicemente deliziosa.

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026Het is een kleinschalige accommodatie. De huisjes zijn mooi en ruim. De bedden zijn fijn. Er zijn kruiwagens om je bagage te vervoeren. Het eten in het restaurant was erg goed. We hadden gekozen voor fine dining. Dit was de hogere prijs meer dan waard. De kok heeft duidelijk liefde voor zijn vak. Ook bij het ontbijt was gekozen voor kwaliteit i.p.v. kwantiteit. Er zijn veel husky's aanwezig. Ook zijn er puppies.
Het gordijn in de slaapkamer kon net niet helemaal dicht. Dat is lastig bij een middernachtzon, die vanuit het noorden naar binnen schijnt. De honden huilen soms in de nacht.

We hebben ook erg goed gegeten in het restaurant van Johnny. De huskytocht zat helaas vol maar we hebben de honden wel gezien. Een plek met goede herinneringen

We were worried how would we sleep if the dogs bark or howl at night. But that concern was misplaced. The dogs are so well behaved :)

Personalet var utrolig profesjonelle og hjalp til med alt, til og med å bære bagasjen vår da vi hadde det litt travelt. Maten holdt et høyt kulinarisk nivå, og det var koselig at man kunne kose med hundene. Selve området rundt hotellet er nydelig og plettfritt, og vi elsket de fine steinene på badet kombinert med den vakre utsikten mot skogen. Vinen var i en klasse for seg selv, og hele oppholdet var rett og slett det beste man kan tenke seg. Vi elsker dette stedet."

I didn’t realize the cabins were split down the middle, so it’s sharing a wall with other and not really a full dome experience, and unfortunately in the upstairs that is not where the bed is located. But there’s still big windows by the bed on first floor too.

Die Huskies sind sehr gut betreut und man erhält das Vertrauen, ohne Musher nach vorheriger Einführung ganz alleine mit einem Schlitten zu fahren. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig aus regionalem Anbau und die Besitzerin Trine ist nachhaltig sehr engagiert! Das Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet und der Besitzer Johnny hat einen unglaublichen Weinkeller! Alles in allem ein Hotel, in dem man sich sofort zu Hause fühlt und die Natur in vollen Zügen genießen kann!
In den Zimmern/Häuschen gibt es keine Schränke.

Reviewed Dec 25, 2025Perfect stay in the Arctic Circle where we were transported into another world. Everything is just… magical. The whole area was covered in thick blanket of snow and we got to see the elusive Northern Lights at its very best, on our first night. We stayed for 3 nights and also did dog-sledding while it was snowing. There is nothing we would change about our trip. Everyone there is really friendly and you are just really well taken care of. Highly recommend.
