We had a wonderful stay here! The location is absolutely perfect, especially if you are visiting Kruger National Park — the entrance gate is just a few minutes away. The apartment was very clean, spacious and comfortable, and the price was incredibly reasonable for what you get. Our host was also extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A great bonus is that guests can also use the swimming pool and restaurant at the hotel next door, the Kruger Gate Hotel. This was really convenient and added to the overall experience. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable and convenient stay near Kruger National Park!

Die Lage war ausgezeichnet. 7 Min. Fahrt bis zum Paul Kruger Gate. Das Apartment ist geräumig und komfortabel. Der Eigentümer Clint hat uns sehr gut betreut und beraten. Das Apartment liegt auf dem bewachten Gelände des Kruger Gate Hotels. Dort kann man das Restaurant benutzen. Es bietet ein sehr gutes Buffet. Man kann dort auch Game Drives buchen, die sehr gut sind.

Das Wi Fi hat nicht funktioniert. Auch nicht als Clint das beim Anbieter reklamiert hat. Wir haben aber in anderen Bewertungen gesehen, dass es davor auch schon nicht funktioniert hat. Internetempfang hat man im Kruger Gate Hotel und in Szuszusa. Der als Einrichtung aufgeführte Außenpool ist nicht vorhanden.

Geweldige ligging, midden in de natuur. Regelmatig komen er antilopen in de tuin om te drinken wat je kan aanschouwen op enkele meters afstand. Het is er heel rustig en mooi. Het huis is smaakvol ingericht met drie ruime aparte kamers (elk met zicht op de bush), met een aparte binnen en buitendouche, één kamer heeft nog een afzonderlijk bad. Er is een ruime living en keuken met alle faciliteiten en een grote buitenpatio en braairuimte met meerdere barbecue’s. Alles is aanwezig om zelf te koken, maar je kan ook in het nabijgelegen Kruger Gate Hotel eten. Clint is een geweldige gastheer, die je privacy volledig respecteert maar onmiddellijk klaar staat om je te helpen en om vragen te beantwoorden. Wij boekten op zijn aanraden een fantastische safari, kregen vele tips en onze kledij werd gewassen. Elke dag werden de prachtige kamers volledig gepoetst. Bedankt Clint voor deze onvergetelijke ervaringen en de hoge kwaliteit van ons verblijf!

Além disso, como não tínhamos alugado carro, Clint foi muito atencioso e gentil, nos levando com seu próprio carro para o Kruger Gate Hotel, para utilizarmos o restaurante e a piscina. Clinton takes personalised service to a whole new level. From ensuring we had directions before we left home, to enquiring how our journey was, attending to everything we needed and then still following up to make sure we arrived home safely. The position is exceptional for visitors to Kruger as you are literally outside the Kruger Gate. The house has absolutely everything you could want. We were a little surprised to find that the bedrooms were all separated from the kitchen and entertainment area but it never really impacted our stay.

Ruime, goed uitgeruste en van alle gemakken voorziene villa op het terrein van het Kruger Gate Hotel en dus direct naast de Kruger Gate ingang naar Park. Er is duidelijk heel veel aandacht besteed aan de smaakvolle en luxueus ingerichte slaapkamers en binnenruimte (zoals dochterlief zei: het is alsof ik in een filmpje op Instagram zit). Clint is een uitzonderlijk goede en makkelijk bereikbare host die gedurende het gehele verblijf heeft klaargestaan om vragen te beantwoorden en het verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken.

De villa is duidelijk gebouwd met het oog op zonnige en warme dagen en we hadden de pech dat het tijdens ons verblijf bijna alleen maar geregend heeft. Iets waar Clint zich herhaaldelijk voor verontschuldigde ook al was dat een van de weinige dingen waar hij niets aan kon veranderen. Houdt er verder rekening mee dat ondanks de korte afstand tot het hotel een auto echt noodzakelijk is en dan zeker wanneer het nat wordt bij voorkeur een 4 × 4.

My wife wanted to use the gym at the Kruger Gate hotel. However, we were not allowed as we were not guests. We were under the impression that use of hotel facilities also included the gym. I think the host needs to state this clearly on the bookings page so guests are well informed in advance. Our biggest disappointment with our cottage was that we were given old , and worn out towels

The location, the lodge was really cute and new, so close from Kruger Gate, only 5 min driver . And is a plus that you can use the services from Kruger Gate Hotel (Pool, Restaurant, Bar) this hotel is next to Rixile. We had a wonderful stay at this lodge. Perfectly located just a few minutes from an entrance into Kruger. The lodge was equipped with everything we could need and having animals visit us in the backyard area was so wonderful. On top of that, receiving access to the Kruger Gate Hotel was a really wonderful bonus.

Absolutely outstanding place right next to the park gate. The lodge is within the Kruger Hotel grounds yet feels completely immersed in the bush — a truly special experience. The lodge itself is a perfect 10/10 — beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully equipped down to every detail, even for cooking your own meals. The level of cleanliness is truly impressive, with the lodge cleaned daily. You can also enjoy meals at the hotel’s restaurant — we didn’t try breakfast, but the dinners were excellent. The host is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely cares about every guest’s experience. Without any doubt, one of the best choices when visiting Kruger National Park

Great location right next to Paul Kruger Gate, so travel time to the park is minimal. Hots was tentative, with frequent communication. A perfect spot for a medium sized group. Lots of resident wildlife on your doorstep, including a resident genet.

The WiFi was intermittent, but an excuse to put the laptop / phone down

The host was very obliging and happily accommodated an early check in, diligently messaged to see if there is anything we needed or wanted during our stay, and responded to all queries promptly. The accommodation had all the necessary equipment for our stay - in the kitchen and beyond. There was also access to Kruger Gate hotel territory with bar and restaurants. The apartment was very clean and included daily cleaning. It is also located super close to the Paul Kruger gate, making Kruger park very accessible.

The road to the property is a little bit bumpy, but did not really cause us any problems.

Мы нигде прежде не встречали такого прекрасного и душевного отношения к гостям, как здесь. От всей души благодарим Клинта за наш прекрасный отдых!

If you like accommodation in the Bushveld, this is your place, close to the hotel. Hotel facilities are available (swimming pools, restaurant, view on the river). Host keeps you updated on the arrangement and respond quickly on any request. The cottage is very close to the Kruger Park entrance, about 5 minutes drive. We saw several antilope and monkeys at the cottage and this was nice.

There are two cottages close to each other, the photos on the booking site are mixed, so it can be confusing on the expectations. Slightly a challenge to find the place, but the host explained it well. There is no view on the river.

Lovely location, very clean and we were able to use hotel facilities which were lovely.

Wunderschöne große Unterkunft, ideal für 3 Paare oder ( wie bei uns 3 Einzelpersonen) . Wunderschöne Bäder, tolles Wohnzimmer und Terrasse an der abends Wildtiere vorbei kamen und friedlich grasten . Ein persönlicher schwimmingpool und ein nahegelegenes Restaurant mit wirklich leckeren Gerichten ( all you can eat buffet für 30 Euro ) . Die zugebuchte Safari hat uns direkt an der Unterkunft abgeholt. Wunderbar netter und zuvorkommender Host. Parkplatz direkt vor der Unterkunft . Aircondition und deckenventilator, je nach Bedarf.

Wir hatten ein kleines Stromproblem für das die Unterkunft aber nichts konnte.

We have just spent 9 nights at Rixile and wish we didn't have to return home. If you're looking for a place to stay that gives you brilliant and easy access to Kruger (it is literally as close as you can get to the Paul Kruger gate) that is beautifully designed and decorated with all the amenities that you would want in the heart of the bush, Rixile is for you. Our favourite area of Kruger to explore is the south. Lower Sabie is particularly special but the whole of the south was just teaming with wildlife. It was wonderful to see the ecosystem thriving like it is! Rixile gives you the perfect spot from which to explore the south. We even went up north as far as Oliphants Rest Camp in a single day but that was a long, 17.5 hour day that I wouldn't necessarily recommend unless you really want to see Oliphants Rest Camp like we did. Clint and the team were attentive to our every need and went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and comfortable. We loved the braai area and fire pit - sitting under a galaxy of stars that shine so much brighter above Kruger than anywhere else in the country. The rooms were perfect and private with both an indoor and outdoor shower in each (the latter was our favourite!). The kitchen has everything you need including an ice maker which, being December, was used a lot! Air conditioning and fans are provided throughout and despite an electrical fault in the area on the first day we arrived (which only affected the air conditioners as they have solar for everything else), Clint was very responsive and helpful in getting it resolved as quickly as possible. The splash pool was great and the perfect tonic after a long day of driving around Kruger. We loved also having animals such as Bushbuck, Impala, Kudu and Civit come right up to the small watering hold in front of Rixile. We even had a visit from a rock monitor lizzard which was very special. God willing, we'll be back at Rixile as soon as possible!

Nothing of significance. The Wifi wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be and so I couldn't do the work that I needed to. However, in all honesty, this was a blessing in disguise. It was an opportunity to disconnect from the busyness of life and reconnect with the simplicity of nature. I should add that it wasn't non-existant (and probaby better than most places in the area), it was just quite slow and tempramental. For basic comms it was fine (my wife and kids had no issues!) but I am a heavy internet user in the job that I do. Next time I'm leaving the laptop behind just to enjoy all that Rixile and the area has to offer.

Die Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Paul Kruger Gate ist hervorragend. Die Lodge ist wunderschön, sehr hochwertig ausgestattet und modern – wir waren wirklich rundum zufrieden! Clint sorgt praktisch für ein „Rundum-sorglos-Paket“. Wenn man vorher aufmerksam liest, weiß man zudem, dass man ausreichend einkaufen sollte, um sich selbst zu versorgen. Dank der voll ausgestatteten Küche ist das aber überhaupt kein Problem.

Das Einzige, das man erwähnen sollte, ist, dass die Lodge mitten im Busch liegt und es dort natürlich viele Insekten gibt. Aber selbst dafür ist bestens vorgesorgt – entsprechende Sprays stehen bereit.

We had a brilliant stay at Rixile. The location is private, tranquil and the property is spotless, finished to a high standard and well equipped. Clint couldn’t be more helpful and we had such a comfortable stay. We were on the fence about staying at Kruger Gate Hotel before we had booked and I’m so glad we didn’t as this stay felt a lot more personal - with access to the hotel facilities. Highly recommend and hope to return.

A cozy house with everything you need (from dishes to coffee capsules and dishwasher tablets). 3. The house is very clean. 4. Toller Ort! Wir waren 6 Personen und hatten jede Menge Platz. Die Lage direkt am Gate des Kruger Parks ist perfekt als Ausgangslage für Safaris. Tolle Ausstattung und super freundlicher Service, Clint ist kümmert sich sehr freundlich um alles (sogar die Wäsche wird gewaschen). Wir hatten täglich Besuch von Impalas, Warzenschweinen und Vögeln. Auch der Zugang zum Pool am nahegelegenden Hotel und die Möglichkeit dort zu essen sind super.

We had the pleasure of staying 2 nights in this beautiful lodge, a hidden gem, tucked away in Kruger gate with free roaming wildlife… Immersed in nature, simple yet luxurious. Celebrated my partner’s birthday and it ticked our boxes for being such a private, tranquil place to stay in the bush. The rooms, views, hospitality… everything was just amazing. Clint is a super-host, warm and responsive to our needs, which immediately made us feel at home. Small details are attended to such as when to clean the room. We definitely recommend this place!

The pool water is quite cold.

Clint was exceptional in providing a memorable experience, the way he communicates fast and friendly, ensuring everything is going perfect at every turn. He even ensured that I have enough firewood for braai(bbq) And saw that my car was washed the morning of my checkout, amazing! The accommodation itself was much nicer than we had anticipated from the pictures alone. Very spacious and luxurious feel for us as a couple, with a great shower intensity and design, with a door to another shower, outside. The house is well decorated and stylish. Walking out to the 'garden' you are surrounded by the bush and we were fortunate to see a spotted genet very up close and also a Caracal (lynx) walking past us. The bush and wild is at your doorstep. Every part of our stay was perfect and we were saddened that we did not book a longer stay. Will definitely return and can recommend it to anyone wanting to find a quiet, peaceful and spacious accommodation as a couple at the kruger area.

Amamos tudo. A casa é maravilhosa. Cozinha hiper completa (detalhes como maquina de gelo e Nespresso). Suites lindas, enxoval muito bom, cama confortável, banho perfeito e tudo muito limpo. A casa fica dentro de uma estrurura de um hotel o que deixa super seguro e Clint está sempre disponível, atendendo no que precisei com muita rapidez e gentileza. Utilizamos a piscina do hotel em um dos dia para nadar vendo elefantes. Enfim, melhor acomodação para nossa viagem em casais..

Thank you for allowing us to be guests at Rixile. It is a little paradise for nature lovers. The house is perfectly equipped and offers every comfort. In the middle of nature. The entrance to the Kruger Park, the Paul Kruger Gate, is right next door. The Kruger Gate Hotel is next door and you can use the pool. It is also perfect to be able to reserve the restaurant there for dinner and breakfast. The owner, Clint, is always available and lovingly takes care of his guests with help and advice. La proximité de la gate Paul Kruger Le confort de la chambre, l’eau chaude Clint a été serviable et réactif.

Le manque d’équipement : pas de table extérieure, manque d’ustensiles pour cuisiner, pas assez de condiments. Surtout que ce logement est très isolé, si vous souhaitez cuisiner, il faut faire vos courses bien avant d’arriver ou dans la parc à Skukuza sinon vous n’aurez rien. Il y a seulement un restaurant dans l’hôtel à côté ce qui réduit l’offre. Nous avons été déçu de cela surtout dans un logement avec cuisine et à ce prix (le plus cher de notre séjour en Afrique du Sud et le moins bien) mais je suis certain que Clint va faire le nécessaire pour les prochaines fois. Et attention les photos portent à confusion, il y a 2 logements distincts, indépendants, sans parties communes.

It was really close to the Paul Kruger gate. There was a possibility to have breakfast and dinner at the near camp and we had kitchen to cook something for ourselves. The host was really nice and took a great care of us. We had air conditioning to warm up the house. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Also the road to the house is not so bad as some say.

We spent a few days at Rixile Kruger Lodge as a family, and it was easily one of our most memorable holidays. The lodge is right at the gate of Kruger National Park—literally a short walk away—so we could drive in the moment the park opened. That gave us a real edge. We saw almost every animal and bird imaginable, including rare sightings of leopard, cheetah, lions, hyena—and we even got charged at by two elephants! The early morning drives were the best, and being so close to the gate meant we were always among the first in. You can tell a lot of care went into the design of Rixile. The outdoor braai area, the pool, and the way you can throw open the sliding doors to create a seamless flow between the indoors and the extended patio—it gives you the feeling of being right in the middle of the bush, with all the comforts you could ask for. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and we loved that there were both indoor and outdoor showers. If you're not keen on cooking, you can stroll to Kruger Lodge for meals. Firewood was stocked daily for the braai and fire pit, and our best conversations happened around that fire in the evenings. We were a mixed group—our kids visiting from the UK, our son working in Joburg, and our nephew from university. It’s not easy to find a place that suits everyone, but this one really did. Clinton was excellent from start to finish. He waited for us after dark when we arrived late, gave clear directions, and checked in on us every day to make sure we were okay. His care and attention were deeply appreciated. Highly recommend Rixile to anyone looking for a peaceful, stylish base for exploring Kruger. We’ll definitely be back.

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Everything from the location, design, and cleanliness to the service and thoughtful touches was spot on. If we had to say something, it’s that we wished we had stayed longer!

We had a wonderful time. The villa is beautiful and totally emerged with nature. The kitchen is very well stocked, and the ice machine a bonus! We loved the boma braai! Clint was very attentive to every need, amazing client care!

Everything about this cottage was exceptional, located very close to Kruger Gate, accessibility was easy. Private, which we enjoyed the most, the cottage was clean need and modern with all the amenities one require for a longer stay away from home. Clint was excellent always checking if we are satisfied or need anything. We are definitely going back there for second trip to the Kruger National Park

It was out in the bush and one with nature.

The property is 5 min from Paul Kruger gate and very private which we loved. We could come home to relax in our haven after a long game drive with our private pool, outdoor showers, AC, and fully functional kitchen. The staff were amazing and Clint was exceptional in making sure all our needs were met. I can highly recommend Rixile

Clint was amazing. Checked in daily to make sure we had everything we needed. He even jump started our car when it ran out of battery. Very gracious host

Spacious, clean and modern lodge in very close proximity to the Paul Kruger Gate. Also has access to the Kruger Gate Hotel restaurants and pool. Clint was extremely hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and that all our needs were met! Daily housekeeping including washing and ironing of clothes as well as washing our dirty car the day we left was a pleasant surprise and is a rare service we have not encountered in our previous stays at other lodges!

It was a great stay, perfectly situated close to the Paul Kruger Gate. Clint made sure that we were well looked after and nothing was too big a job to accommodate! Absolutely no complaints.

We loved the Location! It was perfectly situated, down the road from the Kruger gate, and within the same gate as the Kruger Gate lodge. the facility was completely private, and we were able to enjoy the amenities at the lodge as well if we wanted to. The rooms were private from each other as well, which is great for multiple couples! All the units are airconditioned, and the outdoor showers were really enjoyable! The layout of the property was well thought out. We had so much space to enjoy!
