Gracia de Dios

We stayed at Gracia de Dios in Benoni for a wedding and really enjoyed it. The location feels tucked away and peaceful once you arrive: lush, well-kept gardens, plenty of space to walk around, and that quiet countryside feel that works so well for a celebration. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The garden views from the rooms and terraces added a lot. The breakfast was generous and well prepared. Staff were warm and organised, which matters when you are there for a wedding. The grounds are clearly maintained with events in mind — gardens, photo spots and ceremony spaces look as good in person as they do in the pictures. We would stay again and would recommend Gracia de Dios for a wedding, a family gathering or a quiet overnight near OR Tambo.

The only (very minor) negative was the access road. It had quite a lot of potholes and quite rough. That is not the hotel’s fault, of course. Take it slowly. Once you are through the gates, the property itself is beautiful.

Hot water did work partly , it gets extremely cold here and Ac was not working properly although small portable fan heater was provided but was not enough , WiFi was not there for majority of the time and the breakfast was v limited and can be improved Location is a big out and remote and without car you can’t move and carful of your movements as it’s really quite and isolated location , road leading to the facility is bad

It’s clean, and peaceful , both Carina and Marko are wonderful hosts and staff. They made sure my breakfast is according to my dietary needs! The road to the property is not the best so you might get discouraged before you arrive but i personally encourage you to just trust the process 😁, would definitely book again if I’m around Benoni area

The rooms were excellent and had everything one could wish for. The grounds were spectacular too.

The access roads are appalling (not their fault), and a concerted effort should be made by the local landowners (because the authorities are not willing or capable to do their job) to repair these roads. The breakfast was below par because the staff were not there to cook it.

11/10 for attention to detail in room amenities. Very quiet well organized setup. Exceptionally maintained grounds and units.

Everything. My room was neat, smelling nice with relaxation music, it is exactly like the pictures, they provide gowns, coffee machine with complementary rusks, there is a heater beside the aircon, the bed have electric blanket, the shower has warm water through out, I also loved the kitchenette, the staff gave me a warm welcome. Yoh! I was blown away.. I am definately coming back.

The way to the property is Bumpy, its not their fault though lol.

It’s my second time staying at this amazing place. Consistent with my first time- immaculately clean, beautiful finishes, crisp linen, smells good, seamless checkin, clean and well trimmed garden and bedroom view and timely response from the hosts!

I didn’t like the fact that our room rate came with breakfast and we had booked 2 room but only received for one room since they told us they will bring it to the room , lies we checked out no breakfast came for the other room 🤞🏽

The serenity that comes with being there. This is by far one of my favourite spots to visit.

Prachtige ruime kamers op een hele mooie lokatie, met prachtige tuin. We zijn maar 1 nacht gebleven, maar het personeel was erg vriendelijl. Het hotel had vervoer van het vliegveld geregeld (15-20 min) en we kwamen laat aan, maar de kamers waren netjes verlicht en de volgende ochtend hebben we heerlijk ontbeten. Op het terrein staat een groot schaakspel, kun je stukje wandelen en staat er zelfs een kerk op het terrein.

This property is so lovely. The beautiful gardens and running water everywhere gives such a serene atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. The layout of rooms are well thought through and exceptionally decorated.

We stayed at this hotel for three days as a family, and unfortunately the experience did not meet our expectations, especially considering the very high cost. First, the price is extremely elevated for a property that does not have a swimming pool. Additionally, charging such a high rate during a period when the hotel offers no leisure facilities feels unjustified. There was no restaurant, no spa, and no leisure services available — which were precisely the features that attracted us to this place in the first place. Another major disappointment was the lack of room cleaning service on Sundays. We were forced to stay in an unserviced room, with no housekeeping or room service, which is particularly inconvenient when traveling with a child. What made this more frustrating is that the booking application did not clearly disclose these limitations. The hotel description indicated that there was a restaurant, a spa, and room service available, which influenced our decision. Had we known that these services were not operating, we would have made a different choice. The breakfast was also very basic — essentially a self-service setup with purchased items that guests had to serve themselves. While acceptable in some contexts, it does not align with the premium price charged.

Very neat and tidy. Enjoyed my stay, as it had everything set up for me already. Having my own remote made it easier. Facilities were gorgeous. Food was delicious.

The apartment itself and the beautiful well-kept garden. Marko and the ladies were very helpful and friendly. Kefilwe made us laugh.

Absolutely amazing. Very clean and spacious. The lodges are spread out inside a small park. Looks more like a botanical garden. They even have a pair of swans and a small pond. The roads are mostly gravel for the last kilometre so you’ll need to drive carefully, especially if it rains. The cafe is only opened in the morning for breakfast, so you’ll need to drive to get lunch and dinner. Or get an Uber, which is quite cheap. The Oakfieds shopping centre is less than 3 km away. You’ll find a few good restaurants and a Pick n Pay store there.

This venue is truly exquisite and the grounds are in immaculate condition. It also doubles as a wedding venue. There is even a beautiful pond with swans ! We booked several rooms for our family many months ago and with there being so many of us, dates changed and were added and some changed again. Through this all the team were so gracious and responded to all my requests and questions immediately. Not once being irritated with my changes but always being so understanding and accomodating our every need. The rooms are beautiful with attention to even the smallest little detail. We were so impressed ! My husband keeps telling everyone just how impressed he is :) We also had breakfast served in our room and it was absolutley fantastic. We ordered on both mornings that we were there. Kudos to everyone here at Gracias de Dios - you have created a beautiful gem.

Fantastic service from Marko. He communicated well and confirmed arrangements for a late arrival. He also assisted with arranging for a shuttle service to and from OR Tambo.

The peace and tranquility was a great start. Spacious rooms with 5-star facilities and finishes. Management and staff went the extra mile to accommodate late check-in and early departure.

That I had to leave so soon. Not the property’s doing. My trip was simply too short.

The venue is beautiful well maintained gardens and secure with remote gate access. Staff great! Food very scrumptious and the ladies at the spa amazing!
