It’s very beautiful and very clean. A breath of fresh air
Nothing
The unit is well designed
The property is not clean and Bella is extremely rude
The setting and it is very spacious perfect for a big family
It's not perfect for winter weather as you can not access the pool , and the location is far from everything. Perfect for indoor holiday
Enjoyed every moment of it, and the place is clean, well looked care off. I just wish there was closer parking on the other side for the Queen Bedroom. But I absolutely enjoyed and am Impressed. There is cutlery, water is well supplied too
Getting lost when going to other nearby facilities, lack of accurate signage.
Nothing much
Honestly the Kuwisa we visited 4 years ago was not the same as the one we visited now. Almost everything was dirty including the bathroom towels, post, rooms etc. there were spiders webs around, the facility was neglected. We were going for the 2nd time but we were disappointed, even the well where animals used to get water is no longer working so we didn’t see much of animals 😢
The looks
None
What cant i say!!!! Amazing and you will def see us again!! Thanx for all the spoils!
Felt like home away from home. Very spaciousand peaceful. Extremely clean.
There is rooms you don't have access too, kind of left me uneasy as they lead into the house The bed in the master bedroom of the main house was rather too small and kind of caves in .
We had a lovely peaceful stay at Kuwisa Lodge, made even better by Martha. Who gave us a warm welcome. She was very helpful throughout our stay.
Aircon was not working, and it was very cold. We notified the host and he arranged an extra blanket which was very helpful. .
Everything was perfect The rooms were spacious, clean and elegant MARTHA was great - super friendly and professional
Nothing
Place so beautiful and peaceful.
Housekeeping I don't think is there we stayed two night they only empty the bins
The host was friendly really enjoyed ourselves
The new route to the place
Very peaceful
The roads leading there require a 4x4
The place is beautiful. We also were lucky and saw a giraffe and many other animals. Beautiful and clean rooms.
The house was very comfortable, it had what we needed. Sufficient for a few days.
The communication of the staff was not good. I received a message with directions on how to get to a Mabalingwe gate which was closed. I phoned to ask how to get in, the lady said she would get back to me, she didn't. We eventually found our own way to another gate that had a security gaurd, he asked for a QR code that someone was supposed to send us that they didn't. There was no communication on how to get to the actual lodge once inside the reserve. There was no communication on what to or not to do, we googled for maps and rules of the reserve.
Place is nice and quiet, very nice. We enjoyed our stay.
Would be nice to have a 2 or 3 seater couch just to relax on rather than just chairs only.
Tranquility
The road
Very clean stylish and private.
No enough restaurants
Only the Location is good!!
Very neglected, dirty!! Havent been maintained for the past 8-9 years. VERY SERIOUS mildew issues in Bathrooms!! Oven not working, toaster not working, utensils poor!!
The main house was very spacious as we were a party of three, the third being our 4 year old. There was ample space for her to run around and play inside the main house.
The beds were very uncomfortable to sleep on.
The views were lovely for a bush getaway.
We stayed in a different room on the second night as the main house was booked. This was really a serious downgrade - no WiFi unless you go outside to the pool area, poor drainage in the basin and shower. The water in the bathtub was just lukewarm and the sheets were stained and one of the knives in the cutlery drawer were dirty. The beds were not comfortable.
It was clean cozy and beautiful.
Nothing really
The environment was relaxing and peaceful.
If you book a self-catering place, all the utensils should be catered for. We were missing a lot of things in the house and had to constantly ask the lady.
I liked the quietness of nature, we really got what we paid for and more. We were one with nature.

The environment is peaceful and beautiful
The bed size in the upper room Please upgrade to Queen
The place was beautiful and peaceful...perfect for a baecation.
The gravel road was too hectic.. what happens when it starts raining.
The cleanliness of place and the humanity of everyone from the Mabalingwe entrance.
The road.
The place is very tranquil, it's the real disconnect from the city I was hoping for. My favourite part was roaming animals by our unit. Our unit was spacious, clean and had everything we needed
The gravel road will humble you😭 I recommend you use the the main gate and not the Elansdsfontein road because you will be extra humbled....it was just the roads before entering Mabalingwe
The tranquility of the bush The cosiness of the space
Nothing ..but you must make sure you get there in daylight, otherwise you will be very frustrated
The house was beautiful... Modern with a touch of vintage...beautiful views. Looks axactly as the pictures..
Long drive onto the actual place...
I liked everything about it
Nothing I didn’t like
The heater-part of the Aircon didn’t work.
The location was beautiful and easy to access. Chalet was very clean with glass windows almost half of the chalet. Outdoor shower topped it. The Tranquility was so amazing with beautiful animals moving around.
Nothing
The lodge is an a quiet place, one gets to experience the nature to the fullest.
Location is good for relaxation since it’s a distance to the complex
Privacy
Everything its beautiful..
Nothing at all
The premise is spacious and modern, the surrounding bush, the poolside
Pool pump running 24/7, wasps
The room is soooo spacious, clean and I love the views outside. There is an extra room which helped alot to keep our stuff away from where we are sleeping. The stuff was amazing, we got a complimentary setup for my partner's birthday, super super cute 😍.
I loved the location, room set up and the fact that there room had everything we needed.
The accommodation had a few issues that could be improved. We found some cockroaches in the cupboard, the bed and bedding could use an update (the duvet was slippery and had a rust-like stain), and both indoor and outdoor showers were blocked. Our biggest challenge was navigating the property—there’s very little signage, and we got lost multiple times. With our phones dead, we had to drive back to Mabalingwe tuckshop for directions. Clearer signage and better-maintained bedding would make a big difference.
The furniture was high quality, the mountain views were stunning, and the WiFi was reliable—it truly felt like home.
The pool depth isn’t suitable for children, and more gym equipment is needed.
The place is spacious and braai area facilities
The bed was not properly made up when we arrived. The staff was rude when we asked about the WiFi which was not working. There’s ants at the kitchen countertops.
The location was great, being able to drive to the shop through the reserve actually unique. Loved the cottage alongside the main house, very private
The property around the house had not been cleared of weeds for some time but I see the day on leaving they were doing this.
Beautiful views, secluded and relaxing
The pool is shared with people in surrounding houses, not exclusive.
I love everything , the venue was clean and beautiful
Check out time 10:00 is too early
From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully curated yet wonderfully authentic. The setting itself was breathtaking, humbling reminder that you are a guest in nature’s home. The accommodation is perfect with some game roaming around which made me feel so welcomed.
The lodge was clean and very spacious, with all the amenities. The road to the lodge using the ELandsfontein entrance wasn't bad at all."
I liked everything about the place. There's no sauna and hot tub at the property as mentioned.
Everything...ooh man the place is breath taking
I wish we could have a check in from staff, just to check if we dont need anything. Our phones died and we felt like if we needed anything we won't get any assistance
Everything
Nothing
Natural landscape and a close encounter with wildlife. The lodge setting was amazing; my wife and I both admired how everything was arranged for our trip. This was truly a fantastic place to stay.
Travelling from Elandsfontein was somewhat challenging; however, it granted us the opportunity to explore the game reserve routes to different lodges.
I like the space, its great and full of peace. The service and rooms are amazing
The distance between the gate and the property... There should be a clear map of the property.
A very beautiful place with amazing views..what you see on booking app is what you will get and experience at kuwisa lodge ❤️
Nothing..everything was exceptional
It’s exceptionally clean and very private, it has everything you’ll need inside and out side.
The visit from the animals now and then was cherry on top, I would definitely go back there at anytime when I need time out from the busy world.
Its peaceful and quite
The road is bad...it is the worse thing ever
Beautiful views and very comfortable bed
Road to the lodge is not great.
Animals roaming around wat an experience and the cleanliness of our chalet 100 out of 100
Nothing
The facility was clean!
The promised internet connection was not there!
The quietness of the area, the privacy, outdoor shower, the bush view from the room😃
The bat gave us a visit at night, in our room😥
The property looks so much better than the pictures, it is very gorgeous, neat, clean and serene.
Nothing.
The place and atmosphere, its nice and quiet. Beautiful views and sighting
The directions, the back road directions on the gravel road is the pits, and a car destroyer. Please never advice on using that road ever again.
Can do with a much better TV, bigger and on a swivel bracket with access to Netflix, Dstv etc. Some extra wood for the braai (to be charged for of course as there are no shops close by)
It was very clean, beautiful, and the room had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there were so many fun activities to do. The game drive was amazing!
I loved everything.
Directions bad Place was dirty we booked for 2 days but stayed for 1 night due to discomfort and filth
The place was dirty and full of spider webs Facility not maintained zero hospitality
Nice and clean room with great view.
The aircon didnt work properly, has a very loud noice - cannt hear each other speak when its on. The wifi was very very slow in room. Did not even work all time. Toilet did not flush properly.
The house is beautiful and spacious with a lovely outdoor shower. The pool area is clean and close to the braai area. The guess bathroom next to the lounge is very convenient.
I didn’t like that the second bedroom has single beds and doesn’t accommodate couples. They also need to fix the sliding door opening up to the pool, once open it doesn't close. Roads are more pleasant with a bigger car. The stove oven needs an upgrade.
The property was absolutely stunning. Saw a couple of game animals whilst inside. The bathroom area and the balcony side was most likely my favourite area. The poolside also was amazing.
The directions to the lodge are poor and so is the road. The ride up to lodge would have been more pleasant if we hadn’t gotten lost a number of times but because the road is bad and we had to turn around numerous times it took away from enjoying the whole experience.
Good
Our game drive started off with high expectations, but the journey was far from smooth. Apart from driving to the game drive, on our way back we ended up getting lost and had to wait for two hours in complete darkness for security assistance. This was stressful and definitely not the experience we had hoped for. While the staff eventually helped us, better signage and quicker response times would have made a huge difference. The actual game drive was enjoyable, but the the other ordeal overshadowed the excitement. The distance from activities is quite scary and far, should be pickups for activities from mabalingwe especially for people who do not know the place well, should also improve on cleaning the entire plac properly especially spiders, recommendation is that allow pick ups to the caravan park, its very risky and dangerous when coming back to your lodge. Other than that the stay was amazing Kind regards
Going to the caravan park, we got lost midnight
Everything except
The roads, quite inconviniencing when one has to drive to the designated areas of activities
Amazing facillities and well taken care off
sliding doors n windows were not clean...they just need attention n wipe spider webs as well from the windows
Beautiful. Makes you feel you are one with nature.
There is nothing not to like
Separate room
Bathing tub keep on sinking water, aircon need repair keep on doing sounds and not heating up the room, staff need to be on uniform and professional in addressing, swimming pool is open to other rooms its felt like invading other people privacy so we just greeted and went to our unit, bed need to be changed
The nature animals roaming around
Its the some from the advert
Location, quietness,cleanliness and facilities
Nothing
Peace and tranquility, it was a beautiful experience. I loved the beauty of nature and waking up to animals roaming around the backyard. That was the highlight of our stay.
With regards to the venue, the place was beautiful.
The view , it's so refreshing
There is a bit a bad smell .
The roads are bad
It’s the further out, not close to any activities
We arrived way later than expected because our car broke down and Bella (the helper) waited and welcomed us. The place is marvelous, serenely calming, Superb sunrise and wonderful animals. The house was also clean...
The gravel road via the back gate to the place is hell. Should be strictly reserved for offroad cars. Air conditioner had a loud and cranky sound. It would also be nicer if the activities and restaurant were closer
The House is beautiful, and you can even see the animals moving around,
The locations were ok but getting to the location was very rough because of the road, and driving to the restaurant was not ayoba struu, I wish there could be a small shop around the vicinity, and the Wi-Fi was very very bad no signal, the other thing they need to improve on their backup system it will be better to get the industrial generator or get the panels we struggle a lot with electricity their backup only gets charged with the electricity you can imagine when that gets off then what happens it was not nice shame we had to wait hours for the electricity to come back, as for the linen they need to buy more, because when we ask for the clean towels they had to take our towels wash them wait for them to dry and give them back to us
The entrance from the Mabalingwe gate doesn't have signage for Kuwisa/other lodges. If they just put signage by the gate, it would be very helpful because the location pin takes you on a different route.
Nothing about our stay was pleasant
There was no electricity and water for most of our stay. The rules we were sent on noise levels stated no noise before 10:00am and after 22;00pm. When we got there we were told that no music or any type of loudness was aloud.
