Gurkha Lodge

A wonderful place among Pokhara's residential areas, it feels like an oasis, with its cottages nestled amidst a garden of mango and avocado trees. Despite being located near a three-road intersection, the room was quiet and cozy. There are numerous cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as a large supermarket. I really liked the room; it's essentially a separate house with a cozy atmosphere. The staff was polite and attentive, and they helped me buy a ticket for an intercity bus. The reception also offers travel agency services, where you can book any tours, paragliding, air tickets, and more. I'll definitely come back again.

这是一家有一定年代的酒店，花木健康茁壮，繁复美丽，这样的花园不是一朝一夕能够出现的。 小屋被花园环绕，雨季的时候在小屋里听雨体验非常好。价格也亲民。 屋里偶尔会有蚂蚁，但我觉得这是雨季的花园无法避免的事情。 旁边有一家大超市和几家很不错的饭店。我在这里住了一个星期。

It's a well maintained and beautiful property. The owner and his brother are super friendly and helpful. The room was nice, the bed was very comfy with a hot shower and clean bathroom. All my heart desires where fulfilled. Thank you for the stay and hospitality. I will surely come back!

Всё! Отличное месторасположение, в самом туристическом центре Покхары, но благодаря чудесному саду на их территории очень тихо и уютно. Номера представляют собой маленькие домики. Удобная кровать, горячий душ, рабочий стол внутри номера. На каждой веранде стоит столик со стульями. Сервис отеля на невероятной высоте: мы не были уверены относительно времени приезда, поэтому предупредили что возможно будем посреди ночи. Нам организовали возможность раннего приезда, хотя в итоге мы и приехали следующим утром. Есть услуга хранения вещей, и мы оставляли городскую одежду перед треком к Аннапурне. На обратном пути нам нашли номер, хотя мы предупредили о возвращении в последний момент и ожидали, что номеров может не быть. Потом нам организовали бронь билетов на автобус в Катманду. Всегда предлагали питьевую воду и чай. А самое главное - очень дружелюбное отношение!

spent almost 1 month here. the owners are very kind and helpful, room is clean and cozy. the location is perfect, 7-10 mins by walk to the lake and the park, other seeings are reachable by bike 🩵 love this property

Lodge très agréable dans un petit jardin reposant. Il se situe à l'arrière d'une rue commerçante, à 5 minutes à pied du lac. Il propose un service taxi avec un conducteur hors norme, une conduite souple, prudente que j'ai appréciée particulièrement. J'y ai séjourné avant et après le Trek, tellement le lodge est agréable

The bed was quite comfortable. The garden area was really nice! The WiFi is good.

The shower was a little awkward to use (water stream close to the wall and taps). Not the fault of the hotel, but roosters were waking us up quite early.

Zelo nizka cena v primerjavi s tem, kar dobis za ta denar. V bungalovih je vbkopalnici celo topla voda.

Dva popoldneva je sedel turist iz Evrope na terasi bungalova ter zelo glasno poslusal svojo glasbo. Nihce ga ni opozoril, ko se je to nadaljevalo ze drugi popoldan, sem ga moral opozoriti jaz. Sicer sem z bivanjem v Gorkha lodge temu, zadovoljen.

Die Lage ist super! Man ist innerhalb von 5 Minuten an den See gelaufen.Außerdem ist es eine grüne Oase mitten in der Stadt. Ich fand es sehr schön und gemütlich am Abend in die Unterkunft zu kommen und die Lampions waren an. Man konnte sie dann aber jederzeit ausschalten. Hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit der Brüder. Sie waren super hilfsbereit, geduldig und entspannt. Ich muss ebenfalls erwähnen, dass es so ziemlich die einzigen Personen in diesem Land waren, die nicht um die vollen Sterne bei einer Bewertung gebettelt haben. Das haben die drei Brüder auch absolut gar nicht nötig :-)

Für die Damen vielleicht wichtig… Der Wasserdruck ist nicht jeden Tag zum Haarewaschen geeignet. Aber das ist in solchen Ländern ja nicht unüblich. Und bitte kein Toilettenpapier in die Toilette werfen! :-)

Great location and friendly staff.

Breakfast was good and adequate. Loaction of the Lodge was excellent. The Garden with flowers was very nice. The Phewa Lake was quite close. The Malla Family who run the Lodge ware very friendly.

Such a lovely place to stay. Nice, very clean bungalow with a bathroom. A garden with singing birds. Location is very good, lots of little shops around, cafe, a place to do laundry. Not very far from Tourist Office, Tourist Bus Station and Lakeside. Lovely owners, so friendly and helpful. We had a great stay there.

Feel like home! The 3 brothers are so lovely, always here to help for anything! They know everything about Nepal. Great conversations. Perfect location good simple breakfast , plenty of little shops! And good restaurants around. The garden is so relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay at Gurkha Lodge! The accommodation is run by three brothers and you can really feel the family atmosphere. The hosts were welcoming and friendly at all times and fulfilled every wish and extra-wish we had. The cutest thing is that they bring the breakfast to your terrace…such a beautiful detail. I would definitely recommend a stay in this green oasis right next to busy Lakeside!

The location is good. 20 minutes by walking to the lakeside, not too touristy area.

It’s one of the less clean places we stayed in Nepal. After checking out, the owner “offered” to drive us to the tourist bus park, then said that it cost 300 rupees.

Room with all basic amenities, clean sheets and bathroom. Had a little terrace with a table. Lovely peaceful garden. Friendly owner. Felt like home.

No cleaning, no toothpaste or water bottle provided properly, hot water not available for the shower. No power backup frequently power cut.

This was my 2nd stay at Gurkha Lodge. Tucked away from the noise of Lakeside, but only a 15 minute walk to the lake. This time I had a detached bungalow with its own garden; lovely spot, very private. The buildings are very old, but the peaceful surroundings and beautiful garden make up for any small deficiencies. My bungalow had an electric shower, comfy bed, armchair, kettle, fan, storage and bedside table. Outside a covered verandah with table and chairs. The 3 brothers who own and run Gurkha Lodge, Kiran, Gobardhan and Gobi are friendly and attentive - willing to help in any way.

All was fine.

The room is good, comfy and had enough storage room, the staff was very nice and he let us leave our bags for a few hours, the location is very quiet and it’s about 15 min walk from the center. And there is a great re near by- you and me restaurant. Also the garden is very green and its super nice!

There is mold in the shower, and it’s effecting the room with smell, i wish they could do something about it because the place is very nice

Ya that was great stay and was second time for us after we have finished the trek. The tree brothers who run the place were excellent ,we left threre our stuff during the trekking and they also took us to Sarangort for the sun rise and even gave us a lift to the airport. So very nice guys and very helpfull too. If I came back to Pokhara I would stay again. So thanks and can recommend to anyone

This property is very comfortable set within quiet gardens away from the busyness of the tourist area of Pokhara but within easy walking distance to the lake. There are plenty of places to eat. This was a lovely end to our trekking. The brothers who run the place are incredibly helpful and lovely to chat to. One of the brothers provides a taxi service and I am sure they would help to organise trekking.

Nice location near fewa lake. The host was a nice and amicable person. Bathroom was neat and clean. So, was the bed room. Tourist bus stop or other transportation were at walking distance. Good value for money.

Wow. We are huge fans of the Gurkha Lodge. The brothers that run the place are so incredibly lovely. They were so helpful with all aspects of our stay including treks, buses, taxis. We stayed for much longer than expected because it was so nice. It’s a real hidden gem that quickly felt like home. The garden is stunning and it doesn’t really feel like you are in a city despite its central location. Hot showers available, Wi-Fi. We will definitely stay here again. A huge thank you to our friends at the Gurkha Lodge! See you again

Nothing it was fantastic

The staff at Gurkha Lodge are very kind and accommodating, the rooms are spacious and have everything you need, and the garden is lovely. I left my bag there for a four day trek and was happy to return to Gurkha Lodge for a rest after hiking.

It’s a bit of a walk to the lakeside, but it’s not f at and the neighborhood is nice.

Beautiful garden! Also good beds, always hot water and big breakfast with scrambled Eggs and toast.

very good location, the room is very nice with a small area outside in the garden where you can have breakfast and relax. it has hot water and everything you need for your stay. the staff is very friendly and can organize trips as well. Also, I'd recommend the you and I restaurant just close by to the hotel. I'd definetely recommend this accommodation.

Wifi was little weak inside my room. I had to stay by the front door to keep wifi signal.

The owner let us do a late check in at 1:30am, because our bus arrived very late from Kathmandu. They have a nice garden and hot water all day long. They kept our stuff for 9 days while we went for trekking.

Gurkha lodge located in a prime location, is a family running ancient business. Staying in Gorkha Lodge made me feel like a home. Mr. Gopi Mr. Kiran the owners of this place are very friendly person. Mr. Gopi also became our travel guide. we hired him for a day tour. Every morning he made breakfast for us. As a native, they have all the information about Pokhara a tourist might need. I highly recommend travelers to stay there. if I visit Pokhara again, I would love to stay in Gorkha lodge

The Hot water is not always available due to save of electric energy. so, every time I needed hot water for shower, I had to inform them before hand

Hosts were the greatest in greeting us, well behaved and genteel and took care of the smallest requests even at erratic times. They gave a degree of freedom only afforded at home, considering us a part of their families. Very accommodating indeed!! Also, the garden creates such an ambience at nighttime you've got to experience it!!

If you want a pleasant stay choose this nice hotel which is different from most budget ones. It is not on a street, but in the inner yard. There is a table, drawers etc in the room to put your stuff comfortably. Cute garden where you can sit outside your room. Best value for money

The little bungalows are basic but spotlessly clean with am en suite bathroom and outside seating area. The garden is beautiful, many flowering shrubs including a gorgeous night scented jasmine. Breakfast is served on the terrace or in your room. The three brothers who run the lodge are very kind and helpful, lent me a kettle so I could make my own hot drinks and gave me a lift to the bus park at a very reasonable price.

Good size rooms. Nice, quiet garden. Every bungalow has little porch with chairs, we booked 3 nights but we stayed 7. Maybe our rate is a bit harsh, but it is really easy to fix some issues. Price is super low, so this is great value for money. 15min walk to the bus station, 15min walk to the lake side. Laundry and shops next door. We can recommend 'you and me' restaurant (2min walk). Lovely owners. Good wifi. We checked in at 6am !!!! after our night bus from kathmandu!

Our first room was with solar power shower, so it was stone cold. The next night we moved to the other (better) room. They did not clean the room or change towels during our stay (7 nights). Unfortunately, if you can't throw a paper to the toilet, you need at least bins to be taken out... it is a shame that the garden was neglected, because the space and flowers are lovely

It was a bit like staying in a village in the middle of Pokhara with the green gardens and flowers and it felt like coming home every night:) we had our own little garden in front of our flat and the owners were also extremely nice and helpful with everything. Would def come here again!

I loved my stay! The garden is so nice, it is very quiet, not too central but easy quick walk to lakeside... Keran and Goppi very friendly and helpful. The breakfast made with love and very good! Would come back anytime👌Also there are nice local restaurants next to it, which have good and affordable food and feels more authentic than the main road.

The breakfast - 2 eggs, toast, butter, jam & coffee - was simple and wholesome. As for the location, it was excellent, being walking distance from buzzing lakeside.
