Lake Sieri House

TODO! La casa es un sueño hecho realidad. A unos 12 km de Rovaniemi, apartada del turismo, en medio de bosques nevados, con un gran lago helado en frente del gan ventanal del salón, orientado al norte, para poder ver el espectáculo de las auroras boreales. Una casa aislada con km de hielo y nieve para disfrute exclusivo, con sus trineos, sauna con salida directa a la zona del lago, un cenador independiente en el muelle para barbacoa... Una casa enorme, de madera, limpia y cuidada, con un salón con chimenea, zona de lavado, sauna, cocina equipada y moderna, gran sala con billar y dos habitaciones con vistas a aquel paraíso... Y especialmente sus dueños!! Jarmo y Saale viven en una casa cercana, estando pendiente ls siempre pero en la distancia, sin entrometerse para nada, pero haciendo que te sientas acompañado, eliminando toda sensación de inquietud por estar tan aislada la casa. Jarmo me enviaba alertas sobre auroras, consejos de granjas, etc... Para mis hijas de 7 y 9 años y para mi mujer y para mi, aquellas 4 noches en Lake Sieri House fueron un sueño que hizo qud nuestra experiencia lapona sea inolvidable. Para todo el que quiera un alojamiento auténtico alejado de Rovaniemi pero a su vez a una distancia prudencial (unos 30 min en taxi), con espacio, lago, sauna... Éste es el alojamiento! GRACIAS Jarmo y Saale, ha sido un placer! Ojalá podamos vernos de nuevo en ese paraíso! Un abrazo enorme, Héctor, Leti, Noa y Telma.

Absolutely amazing location! The lake was frozen, we used the sleds to get across in the mornings. The house was lively and spacious and the hosts amazing and so accommodating. We will definitely recommend and be back.

It was perfect

We stayed at Lake Sieri House in Rovaniemi from 2 to 6 January, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The conditions during our stay were exceptional, with deep snow, crisp Arctic temperatures, and a magical winter atmosphere that felt straight out of a postcard. The house itself was warm, comfortable, and very well equipped, providing a perfect retreat after days spent outdoors in the winter landscape. The setting by the lake is stunning, especially in winter, offering peace, silence, and a genuine feeling of being immersed in Lapland nature. Despite the remote feel, everything was well organized and easy to manage. Lake Sieri House is an ideal place for anyone looking to experience Finnish winter at its best—calm, beautiful, and authentic. We would highly recommend it and would gladly return.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It provided everything you could wish for from a trip to Lapland: sledding, snow, a sauna by a frozen lake, and breathtaking views of the northern lights. The "Arctic Grill" set up by our host, Jarmo, was fantastic; I've never experienced a barbecue in a glasshouse at -22 degrees! Speaking of the hosts, they were a delight—super helpful, incredibly friendly, and eager to make our family's stay extra special. The house itself was beautiful and had all the amenities we could possibly need. The wet/frozen clothes dryer was a hit and the most useful thing I've ever seen!

Wir haben 5 wundervolle Tage im Lake Sieri House in Rovaniemi verbracht und sind absolut begeistert. Die große, wunderschöne Holzhütte liegt mitten in der Natur, ruhig im Wald, mit einem See ganz in der Nähe – einfach traumhaft 🌲❄️✨ Das Haus ist sehr großzügig, perfekt ausgestattet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Besonders die Sauna war ein echtes Highlight nach langen Wintertagen 🔥🧖‍♀️. Alles ist gepflegt, gemütlich und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis: In zwei Nächten konnten wir die Polarlichter direkt dort sehen 🌌💚 – unvergesslich! Die Eigentümer sind unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und herzlich, was den Aufenthalt noch schöner gemacht hat ❤️🙏. Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert, aber absolut unkompliziert – in kurzer Zeit erreicht man das Santa Claus Village, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und das Zentrum von Rovaniemi 🚗🎅🛍️. Die Umgebung bietet zudem eine wunderschöne Natur und pure Ruhe. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können das Lake Sieri House von Herzen weiterempfehlen 🌟🌿

The place and location were perfect for just staying and also a great a base for exploring lapland. Everything in the house was new and very clean and we didn't miss anything. The hosts where very friendly and helpful. We got to fish, bbq, see reindeers in the vincinity and even watch northern lights in late agust what in not that common.

The house is well equipped, functional and very clean. It is close to nearby attractions like the reindeer farm and husky tour. The sauna was a highlight. The surrounding lake and landscape is absolutely beautiful, it is very peaceful and quiet. The hosts were amazing, extremely helpful, friendly, and communicative even months before we visited. They were very accommodating and made our visit even more special. Note that if you are not hiring a car, taxis may take a little longer to get to the accommodation as it is off the main road.

Comfortable, clean and well equipped house with a family history that very nice owners are excited to share while cordially welcoming and guiding you through all the details of the place. Splendid views of the frozen lake invite to explore it walking with the snowshoes or sledges available on place. We would definitely recommend this accomodation and its hosts!

What a magical place! Everything was perfect: the house is beautiful and so is the location at the lake. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful, you can see and feel they are paying attention to every detail in- and around the house to let you feel at home, just exeptional! Everything! This place is a dream! It's so much fun to sled or toboggan down the little slopes. The whole family had the best time, made so many memories and laughed endlessly whilst going down the little slopes. The house is incredible, so spacious, warm, and full of everything you'll need for your Lappish escape! The owners are so so lovely and will help you with anything. It was the best experience and we will definitely be booking this again!

Loved it! Away from the touristic center but close enough to move around and visit the various attractions. Hosts, Jarmo and Saale, were warm and helpful before and during our stay. The cabin is perfectly stocked, clean, spacious and has history. The view across the lake is beautiful and quiet and had plenty of outdoor open areas for the kids to play in the snow, discover and experience a different setting all while we could sit and watch or join! Because of its location, away from Santa’s Village and on the lake facing North, we were able to see the Northern Lights clearly which was an added plus and Jarmo was kind enough to alert us and came out from his private residence to make sure we saw them. That said, the cabin is private and they are not intrusive, just present if need be. He even woke up super early to sand the road for us to leave to the airport on icy roads.Such a lovely couple and home! They helped us with finding activities such as husky and reindeer farms/rides that were, again, away from the bustle of tour groups and allowed us to learn and experience them without mania and actually connect and take our time. You can’t beat a husky ride on a frozen lake with the views around you with just 2 sleds and a couple on a snowmobile to get your action shots! Highly recommend!

Lake Sieri House was the most Wonderfull place in the middle of a forrest. We were 7 people in the house, and there were plenty space for all of us. There is a sauna in the house and it is placed perfektly if you want to go out and roll in the snow. It is the perfekt place to see the northern light, and we were lucky to see it the first night. The house is right beside a see. In winter time you can walk on it and right across it, there is a husky farm, that we also can highly recommend. There is also a reindeer farm right beside the house where you can book trips. 15 minuttes away by car you can also go alpine skiing. It takes about 20 minuttes by car to go to Rovaniemi centrum. The host are the sweetest, helpfull and friendly cuple, who stays in a house very near by. If we had any questions they would answer right away. They also helped turn on the grill/barbeque in the little adorable grill house. We have only possitive things to say. Thank you for a perfekt stay.

Beautiful house and setting. Very clean and comfortable for all 8 of the family, warm all the time and Jarmo the host was very kind and helpful. The outdoor fire room was a bonus experience, as was being able to go out on the frozen lake. Not far from city and airport, the drive was fine and beautiful too

The cabin is about 108yrs old and while its renovated, it was extremely beautiful, spacious and really live up to its name as a Lake House. Both Jarmo and Saale are very accommodating and with geniunely warm hospitality. They take care of us and even showed us where we can quickly go to the city from the Lake House on a secret way just like a commoner 😁 We spent the Christmas Week in Lake Sieri and it was really a memorable experience. Our kids loved it and planning to come back and stay again in Jarmo and Saale's house. We even exchanges dinner and loved Saale's roast pork and Jarmo's goodbye gift - raindeer sausages! 🦌 If anyone wanted to visit Rovaniemi, regardless if you are just a couple, group of friends or family, we higly recommend Lake Sieri House 👌 worth every penny! And you can trust Jarmo and Saale to take care of you while in Lapland. Its like visiting your family in one of the world's magical places! ❤️

Our Stay at Lake Sieri House was one of the best holiday and experiences we ever had. If you like nature and want a peaceful holiday in the middle of Lapland nature, in a beautiful house and right next to a lake, this is the place to go. A lot of activities to do around (Walking in forrest, reindeer farm, watching auroras, Dogsledding, Snowmobile, fishing, Sauna etc..)!!

Excellent location. Quiet and absolutely stunning. House was clean and very warm with lots of space. It had everything we needed. Hosts were welcoming and nearby. House was only about 20 minutes drive from most activities and only a 10 minute walk to the best reindeer farm.
