The property was really close to the beach and the house was in good clean condition.
The owner is a nice person and was responsive BUT the guy who was appointed to let us in Freddy overcharged us for almost everything until we found out other taxis and activities were way cheaper than what he wanted. we stopped using his suggestions after he told us one wine glass that i broke costs 2100 rupees which is equivalent to 45$ a wine glass. He was not happy that i reported him to the landlord about his scams. Overall a great place just watch out for that guy
Well located for those looking to explore the east coast. The house is clean and nicely decorated, well equipped and comfortable even for larger groups with comfy beds and nice furniture. Shops and restaurants close by.
Very noisy road in front, impossible to sleep past 7am due to the constant road traffic and passerbys. The beach in front is also not a beach where one can swim. It's a docking beach for boats. It is definitely not a place for a quiet getaway. The restaurant right next door is always very loud at night on weekends.
The modern facilities. You stay in entire villa
The host was unresponsive from the start even after booking. Not one message of welcome. When we arrived in the neighborhood , no one knew the property by name and there was no name on the building so we drove around for several hours asking people until by chance we found him at the beach. No hot water to shower. view was not as advertised. Property was across a busy street from the beach. From the balcony, you could hear all the noise, the beach was not clean. The host was nice on first day . On 2nd day when we reported that the stove wasn’t working, he came to fix it. He also harassed us incessantly about booking an excursion to il aux cerf through him, when he went directly to the operator instead that’s when he became salty and unresponsive. When we reported that there was no hot water, he ignored all communications and never fixed it.
The villa is perfect if you are used to the traffic. I think the only inconvenience is that the main road is just in front of the house. All amenities and the rooms are very nice for a good stay. Yes, during the night or early in the morning you can hear their loud music from their cars when driving on the main road. This is Maurician people’s culture. Otherwise, everything is fine.
Beautiful house on the beach, close to a lot of restaurans. Fully furnished, bathrooms with soap and towels and kitchen with everything you need. Kind owner and staff
Good location for the boat trips. Only stayed a couple of days but was easy to get to and from the boat collection (can be organised by the host) There was hot water ... you just need to let it run through and get warm (I wanted to put this as others had commented on it)
We went at a quiet time of year so limited restaurants available nearby... be prepared to cook in. Although good facilities to do this.
Spectacular...it's a lovely place. Right across the beach, great view and the small details the host has put into the property.
Clean and well equipped. Great location, though a bit noisy. Ideal to set off for ile aux cerfs. Good restaurant close by.
Maid did not show up
No hot water for entire stay. Very noisy [right on road] Not the best area.
View from balcony Well equipped kitchen Good aircon Spacious
The villa was comfortable with all ammenities. A work nook made my life easier. The host was very friendly and able to help with logistical arrangements. I was well taken care of.
The restaurant next door opens late, the beach across the busy road is popular, making for a noisy urban setting.
Traditional Mauritian style Including outside second kitchen, but modern where it needs to be
Well situated. Well decorated and furnished.
No hot water in showers.
