Reviewed Sep 1, 2026Felt like a little home away from home, very nice! Full laundry services, fully appointed kitchen with all the basic stuff you need. 3mins walk to the Cardrona Hotel. 5mins drive to the start of the Cardrona ski field access road. It was just really nice being able to come down the mountain, shower, get dressed and be at the pub for a feed before the sun had fully set. Means you get lots of sleep every night which is great for a multi-day ski trip.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2025Villa 14 was very well appointed and was lovely and bright and had a great feel to it. Great size rooms and the layout was excellent. Lots of windows but still felt private because of the stone wall surrounding the pool. Great location being at the front of the development. Cleanliness was great (and I am very fussy). Loved the big woollen bean bag and the sofas with the sheepskins made it feel homely. Our relatives who were staying in studio 25 were very envious of our little house and next time would pay the extra and prefer a villa like ours. Nice to have a big clean fridge. Happy to also have several heated towel rails which really make a difference in the winter. We will definitely book Villa 14 again if planning a skiing holiday at Cardrona.
The heater in the master bedroom clicked during the night so was a little annoying, but only for light sleepers. Need a lamp in the living room and more power points (or access) in the living area would be good. I took one of the bedroom lamps into living area but could only plug in by the kitchen as the modem was blocking the other power point in the corner and couldn't be unplugged, so perhaps a power board in the corner would be useful. Parking at the front was OK but worried about people reversing out of unit 13 and possibly hitting our car. Would be good if there was a turning area to make it easier to do a 3 point turn to reverse park. The living room gas fire takes a lot or perseverance to light but is lovely when on and definitely makes a huge difference to the ambience, so worth the effort.

Reviewed Jan 26, 2025Beautiful villa in fantastic condition. Great location, a stone's throw away from the infamous Cardrona Hotel. I came here for a wedding and it was a perfect place to stay, with all the things you need to get ready for a wedding (iron, washing machine etc)! Parking onsite was also very easy if you're renting a car.
The back doors are difficult to open/lock if you don't read the owner manual/booklet provided on the dining room table! Otherwise, there really wasn't much and it was a perfect stay.

Reviewed Jan 13, 2025Tastefully modern Decore. Clean and tidy. More spacious than it looks. Enjoyed relaxing by the pool and spa. A little further away than where we planned to stay (in Wanaka) but picturesque drives which enabled us to access Arrowtown, Wanaka and QT easily enough. So so glad we opted to stay here rather than something in Wanaka at a similar price. Easy stroll to the iconic Cardrona Hotel.

Reviewed Jan 9, 2025It was perfect for our family of four. Location is awesome and the villa was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the pool too! The guy who was looking after the pool (didn't catch his name) went out of his way to make sure the spa pool was hot for us and everyone else to enjoy.
We loved all of it. The coffee machine was not working but we just picked up coffee from the local general store. So no biggie.

Reviewed Dec 21, 2024Amazing location, spectacular surroundings and very peaceful. Spacious villa, and great pool & spa (though the pool was very cold, didn't bother the kids though). Great to be close to the Cardrona Hotel.
The Villa owners should sack the cleaning team: They were meant to leave milk and bottles of water (there wasn't any) They were meant to leave a local complimentary wine (there wasn't any) There was meant to be spare towels in the laundry for use in the pool (there wasn't any) The bedside table light had no lightbulb. The spares in the kitchen were the wrong kind. It was quite dissapointing especially being informed about all these things in the welcome booklet and series of emails prior to arriving.

Reviewed Jan 16, 2024Pool & hot tub. Villa was clean, well equipped and beds were comfortable. Very useful having a washing machine on-site. Hosts were friendly and responsive. Lovely bottle of wine on arrival.
There were 3 x power outages that lasted an hour or so during our stay.

Well appointed villa with plenty of space, good amenities, and very quiet (with proper thick doors!). Bedroom blockout curtains could have been better (rather than wood blinds).
TV would not connect to Netflix even though we were paying additional fee for internet access.
