Reviewed Aug 22, 2026The location of the villas is great and works well if you are traveling in a large group. Check in and out was very easy and they let us store our bags after check out so we could explore the island some more and they had plenty of parking. Lots of outdoor areas to sit and relax as well! They have an on site cat named Mufasa who was an absolute darling :)
I would warn future visitors that the A/C in our villa did not work and we stayed during one of the hottest weeks of the summer so it was a bit of a struggle (no fans either!). When we opened the windows large cockroaches would come in, so it was a bit of battle of which struggle was worse. The drain in our shower was also broken so anytime someone would use it, you would flood the bathroom. Hopefully these issues can be fixed for the next visitors!

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Ubytování bylo velmi příjemné, ve skvělé lokalitě u nádherných vinic, s výhledem na vrchol Pico. Náš přílet na ostrov měl 5 hodin zpoždění, přiletěli jsme o půlnoci. Obávali jsme se, že check-in o půlnoci bude problém. Ale žádný problém nebyl. Pan domácí nás osobně vyzvedl na letišti a ubytoval. Ubytování v Casas do Verdelho poskytuje naprosto nadstandardní služby. The accommodation was very pleasant, in a great location by the vineyard, with a view of the Pico peak. Our flight to the island was delayed by five hours, we arrived at midnight. We were worried that check-in at midnight would be a problem. But there was no problem. The host personally picked us up at the airport and accommodated us. Accommodation at Casas do Verdelho provides absolutely above-standard services.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026We had a wonderful stay at Casas do Verdelho. The house is nice, spacious, and well equipped. The location is good, close to Madalena and a great base for exploring Pico Island. Waking up and having breakfast outside with a view of Pico Mountain was a lovely bonus. The hosts were welcoming, and available to help if needed

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026Location was great and the house was spacious and nice. It was nice to sit outside and eat dinner at the end of the day. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a washer.
The house smelled like mold every time we came back at the end of the day, but it did get better when opening the windows. The kitchen could have a few more things including smaller pots and better knives.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026Good environment. All commodities we could need for a short stay. Patricia received us and was very pleasant explaining the property and its surroundings . João was also a point of communication, always quick in the replies to our queries.
The toilet ceiling “leaked” light to on of the bedrooms as the dividing wall doesn’t extend to the ceiling. Also, the noise insulation between the bedrooms was not good. Even with the toilet between, we could talk from one bedroom to the other.

De bedden zijn weliswaar groot maar zijn niet comfortabel. De bank is hard. Douchen in een glad bad is niet fijn. We hebben alleen iemand gezien bij aankomst. In een sneltreinvaart.

S’ha de renovar, mobles vells, del matalàs se’t claven les motlles. La dutxa perd aigua i surt fora. Un gos bordava tota la nit. Era de la casa d’un veí. Molt car pel que es l’allotjament. A fora tens una taula amb uns bancs, pero no es una Terrassa es un passadís per on passen les persones que estan als altres allotjaments. La foto es de la recepció, no de les cases que lloguen.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2025La posizione tra i vigneti è incredibile, magica! La struttura, in una zona tranquilla e silenziosa, è pulita, confortevole e con spazi comodi. Patrica e Joan sono ospiti premurosi e disponibili: sono venuti ad aprirci il deposito per lasciare i nostri bagagli in attesa del check-in. Inoltre, segnalato un guasto in bagno la mattina di Ferragosto alla sera, al nostro ritorno, era stato prontamente riparato!

Outdated, tv service went out halfway thru and never got fixed and so did WiFi. Asked to change bed sheets and never happened. Shower was cracked and leaked water everywhere and the solution was to give me old towels to pick up water everyday for a week.

Somehow very basic furnishing, rusty clothes rack, some lounge chairs for outdoor and an umbrella would make a stay much more comfortable.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2025O dono foi buscar-nos ao cais. Serviço gratuito. O alojamento fica a 3 km da Madalena - e do porto dos ferrys. Fica na área de vinha Património Mundial da UNESCO. Casa completa, com maquina de roupa e cozinha equipada. Tiveram a amabilidade de nos deixar uma garrafa de água e café.
É um problema em toda a ilha - a água canalizada não é ideal para consumo.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2025Majiteľ Joao bol super, vyzdvihol nás na letisku. Cestou nam rozprával o lokalite. Doviezoll nás do domčeka - celý patril nám, manželka na nás čakala a všetko nám vysvetlila. Výborné bolo, že kuchyňa bola plne vybavená a bola tam práčka.
Jediné mínus bol mierny zatuchnutý zápach v domčeku, v skriniach a šuplíkoch, ale je to asi prirodzené v domoch tak blízko pri mori.

The view of Mount Pico from the bedroom window was a plus! The bungalow is spacious and with everything we needed for our stay, including a washing machine.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2024casa molto carina, pulita e dotata di praticamente tutto. molto apprezzato il fatto che abbiano lasciato un foglio con tanti QR code per ogni esigenza (taxi, attività, tour, ecc). i proprietari sono stati carinissimi perché mi hanno aiutato a prenotare un taxi notturno per la scalata del monte quando non riuscivo a comunicare col taxi sta dato che non parlava inglese!
nulla di grave, ma onestamente pensavo fosse più vicina al centro, bisogna prendere sempre un taxi se non si ha la macchina quindi bisogna organizzarsi per tempo. se si è automuniti è PERFETTA

Reviewed Aug 9, 2024Die Unterkunft ist in einer sehr schönen Anlage in der Nähe eines Aussichtspunktes. Sie ist optimal ausgestattet. Waschmaschine, inklusive Waschpulver, Kaffeemaschine mit Kaffeepads, Kühlschrank mit Gefrierschrank. Alles war sehr sauber und geräumig. Die Klimaanlage hat auch perfekt funktioniert. Am besten sind aber die sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber, Patricia und João. Sie haben uns freundlich in Empfang genommen. João hat uns dann gleich noch zu einem Supermarkt gefahren, damit wir die ersten Einkäufe tätigen können. Am nächsten Morgen hat uns Patrizia dann zum Mietwagen Service gefahre. Mehr Unterstützung kann man sich nicht wünschen. Die Insel ist ein Traum und wir haben unsere Tage hier sehr genossen Vielen Dank für alles 😌
