It is a perfect place with very good safari option and great food.

This was probably our best stay of the trip and the highlight of the trip. Exceptionally clean rooms and very humble and courteous staff. Expect very clean eating here, immerse in nature- they have great outdoors and the dinner experience is a must. They make you do the best safaris o think in Yala. So passionate about safari and nature - the owner and his buddies! Lovedddd it

For our family, Wild Lotus was one of the nicest stays during our one month trip through Sri Lanka. We really like the aestethics of the accommodation, very organic and elegant. The property itself is somewhat off the beaten path, something we really appreciated. It's calm and relaxing and professionally run with attentive service. We went for bike rides through the rice paddies, observed village life, saw the most amazing birds from our hammock in front of the house property and watched the water buffalo herds returning home after a day in the lagoon. Our kids caught fish in the lagoon and fed the goats, while we relaxed by the beautiful pool. Perfect hub for Yala National Park but also really worth staying a little longer to 'just be' and explore beautiful surroundings.

Very beautiful, so peaceful I wished we’d stayed longer. We were staying in the larger house which was incredible. Huge bedrooms, beautifully finished & enormous bathrooms with outdoor rain showers. The safari experience organised by them was excellent & though we didn’t see a leopard we saw so many interesting birds. Crocodiles, mongoose, elephants, it was a real adventure. The staff at wild lotus are exceptional, food fabulous & all freshly home made even the ice cream which was delicious. Highly recommend

La struttura è situata in prossimità del lago ed è impossibile stare all'aperto nelle ore serale per la presenza di ogni tipo di insetto. NOTA NEGATIVA sulla gestione mance. Il prezzo include una service tip del 10%. Nonostante ciò. Ci è stato detto di dare una extra tip per il driver del safari, salvo s oppure dopo che il driver era ol proprietario. Un comportamento che ho trovato scorretto e poco trasparente

Het ligt er prachtig! Alles wordt netjes onderhouden, de Vila is erg ruim, schoon en comfortabel. Het eten was heerlijk en meer dan voldoende! Personeel ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam!!! Prachtig zwembad, mooie tuin, veel vogels, leguanen en andere diertjes. Onze zoon heeft nog twee dgn mogen vissen in de vijver! Heeft flink wat vissen gevangen. Zeker een aanrader!!

Eigenlijk beviel alles! Wat het af zou maken is wat comfortabele zitmeubels buiten bij de tafel. De harde banken buiten zitten niet echt fijn…..

What an oasis of tranquility. The house we stayed in was beautiful. Huge bathrooms and outdoor showers. Extremely comfortable beds and air conditioning and fans. A kitchenette with big fridge. The pool is stunning and they were kind enough to let us extend our checkout to enjoy lying by it for longer. The staff are so kind and we were given a lot of space to relax but able to get help if we needed it. The food was delicious and the breakfasts which we had included were definitely the best we’ve had I. Sri Lanka: smoothie bowl and pancakes . They also have an observation tower so you can see the countryside around and the bird life is wonderful.

Stunning property. We felt like we had a little bit of paradise. Staff couldn’t have done any more to make us feel welcome and spoilt. Can’t recommend enough.

Myggepinde, fan og små bordlamper ved bordet. Meget hyggeligt. Og den bedste smoothie bowl med granola, som klart kan anbefales 👌Kun to lejligheder, så man har næsten stedet for sig selv.

Lokatie was prachtig, heerlijk zwembad. Waanzinnig lekker eten. Personeel een dikke 10. Super vriendelijk en staan continu voor je klaar. Schone kamers, lekkere bedden en goede airco. Wij zouden Wild lotus zeker aanbevelen.

Wild Lotus is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay, the bedrooms are huge, the bathrooms stunning! The gardens are really peaceful and the pool lovely and warm. The safaris were brilliant, we’d definitely recommend going with Wild Lotus, our guide knew what he was doing and ventured into areas the others didn’t! Food was great, the sharing menus worked really well for our family. Our hosts looked after us really well, delivery of a cup of tea on the terrace first thing in the morning was really appreciated!

Twee nachten verbleven in Wild Lotus Yala. Het personeel was zeer gast vrij, behulpzaam en stond altijd voor ons klaar. Een zeer ruim en gezellig ingericht verblijf met in de slaapkamer goede airconditioning. De ruimte was ook hygiënisch, erg prettig. Ontbijt was inbegrepen, meerdere keuzes uit wat je kon eten. Echter is het stadje waar het verblijf ligt wat afgelegen (klein/weinig te doen). Hierdoor hebben we de dagen ook geluncht en avond gegeten bij het verblijf. Ook hier was voldoende lekkere keuze uit en het smaakte allemaal heerlijk. De ruimte om het verblijf heen was een zeer ruime tuin en veel ruimte om rond te lopen. Ook kon je buiten het verblijf rond het meer nog een klein rondje lopen als je dat leuk vond. Er staat in het verblijf ook een hoge toren, waarin je mooi de zonsondergang en zonsopkomst kan zien als je dat wilt Het zwembad was schoon en had de perfecte temperatuur om lekker af te koelen. Daarnaast waren er ook goede ligbedjes. Wij hebben via het verblijf een safari in Yala Nationalpark gedaan. Dit was een zeer geslaagde dag, we hebben veel dieren gezien waaronder: Kuddes olifanten, baby olifanten, allemaal vogels en zelfs drie keer een Luipaard. De gids die deze safari doet is ook erg gezellig en goed ervaren. De laatste dag hadden wij gevraagd of wij wat kan langer konden blijven/uitchecken en ook hier waren zij zeer gastvrij in. Wanneer je naar Yala wilt komen voor een goede safari, maar ook een heerlijk verblijf waar je tot rust kan komen en lekker kan eten dan is dit ZEKER een aanrader!

We had the most wonderful time at wild lotus yala. Rohan and team were so attentive and made everything easy and such a special time. Our safari was organised for us and was an amazing experience. Dinner at the property was lovely each night and we also had a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast with generous portions. Our bungalow was clean and the beds were super comfy.

We had the best time at White Lotus Yala! The villa is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and surrounded by a peaceful natural setting. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more special. Everything was thoughtfully maintained, and the attention to detail really stood out. How can we describe The Wild Lotus? It is the Garden of Eden personified. From the moment the gates opened to reveal the amazing grounds we felt ourselves totally relaxing. The bungalows are huge and extremely comfortable with nothing missed. The beds and pillows gave us the best nights sleep. The food is absolutely excellent and served in your balcony veranda. The pool is extremely difficult to get out of once in as the temperature is just perfect. The staff. Well where do we start? They are so kind, extremely attentive, always around and checking if you need anything or second guessing what you will require next. Nothing is too much for them and we felt extremely humble. The atmosphere is totally relaxing and we really didn’t want to leave. We really cannot rate this hotel high enough and if we could have gone over 5 we would have!

Absolutely stunning. Pool was regal and the rooms were spacious and modern. The outdoor showers were awesome! The food they arranged was delicious.

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach spitze. Das Gelände ist wunderschön angelegt und gepflegt. Super fanden wir auch das Nachhaltigkeitskonzept. Der Service war toll und die Mitarbeiter haben einem jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die gebuchte Halbtags-Safari war ebenfalls super. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit.

One of our best stay in Sri Lanka. The only mistake we made was only to stay only one night. Madu is a true legend, he will make your stay unforgettable. The staff is amazing, they are all lovely. You can also eat with there, the food is really tasty. You're amazing guys!

Fantastisch. Ein absolutes Paradies mit außergewöhnlichem Service. Wir haben uns vollends wohlgefühlt und haben das rumdum sorglos Paket genossen. Die Safari im Yala National Park, das Lagerfeuer inkl. Abendessen unter dem Sternenhimmel, der Pool und die Tiere, alles war absolut wunderbar.

One of the most special stays. The team were fabulous! The safari was just amazing - we saw 4 leopards, a sloth bear, multiple elephants, crocodiles, and so much bird life. Madu, the owner, picked us up from Mirissa at the start of our stay and also kindly took us took the airport which was a lovely touch. His father Jayantha was the best safari guide - so knowledgeable, funny and helpful. The food, service, ambience and accomodation was just perfect. I couldn’t believe how spacious and well kept the rooms are. Wild Lotus is an absolute gem and I can’t wait to return one day (and see Alvin and Rooster again!)

Our stay in Yala was absolutely fantastic! The villa was beautiful, spacious, and had an amazing pool where we could fully relax after our safari. The highlight of our stay was the incredible BBQ dinner experience under the stars—it was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere, the food, and the hospitality were all exceptional. We highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Yala!

The house is a great space for families and the clearly been designed as such and there is a lovely story behind the owners. The facilities were great and we loved reading the Wild Lotus story and meeting the goats and chickens. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the property (one of our best meals of our trip in Sri Lanka) and they were very accommodating on meal choices which was appreciated. The kids loved the slide (though for younger ones definitely supervise as they quickly learned how to use the pillows to go down faster) and plenty of space for a large family and great garden and trampoline.

We had specifically requested to have after the safari and hadn't realised they had packed a breakfast when we went off on safari or would have raised. Was looking forward to breakfast when we returned but was told we had the packed - in hindsight should have raised it at the time. Main reason it was disappointing was the dinner had been so good was looking forward to a great breakfast.

Wish we could give this property a million stars, we had the most amazing few days here! Madu was extremely helpful when coordinating safaris and food. We went on two safaris and loved our time with a very swift entrance to Yala and so much local knowledge shared. The property was a home away from home with clean and welcoming spaces and all the comforts you could need. The food served was fresh and delicious!! We also went on a village tour and loved meeting local artisans. Highly recommend the property!

The smaller villa had a very high bed, it was no issue for us but something to be aware of for people with mobility issues.

The food, especially the dinner, was well below the expected standard. We felt rushed by the manager, which didn’t make the stay feel relaxing or like a proper holiday. The manager asking for payment while we were having dinner was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Payment should be requested at check-in or check-out, not during a meal with your loved ones.

Had an exceptional stay at Wild Lotus Yala. The place was very clean, beautiful, and peaceful. The staff were amazing — friendly, helpful, and always made sure we were comfortable. The pool was fantastic and perfect for relaxing. The driver who took us to Yala National Park was also great and made the safari experience even better. Highly recommended!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig und zu zweit hatten wir sehr viel Platz. Wir konnten über die Unterkunft eine Safari buchen, das sehr einfach und unkompliziert war. Wir hatten Frühstück und Abendessen und beides war sehr lecker. Auch der Pool war sehr sauber und nach einer wilden Safari perfekt. Roshan war sehr hilfsbereit und höflich.

All'interno della struttura, che comprende un bellissimo e grande giardino che costeggia il lago si trova la piscina comune, e i due alloggi uno per 4 persone e l'altro per più persone. E' un posto davvero incantevole e i proprietari sono disponibilissimi e molto accoglienti. Se avrete la fortuna di incontrare il papà del proprietario che da sempre lavora all'interno dello Yala Park vi farà conoscere tantissimi animali

We have traveled to many places and this has to be one of the best places we have ever booked! Not only was it an amazing property, with amazing food and accommodations, but the people made it even better. Madu was so great with communication upon booking, and we got to learn all about his family and them building this property, to Roshan and his amazing attention to detail. He was so professional and was always making sure we had everything we needed and more. We also went on a safari with Madu’s dad, Jantha (he has been doing safaris for over 40+ years!) He later took us around town in his own jeep and showed us all his favorite spots of Tissa. He had a great eye for wildlife! If you want an authentic, but still very upscale accommodation do not hesitate to book this place! We will be back :)

Really friendly staff and welcome. Accommodation was superb - essentially a single story villa with a fully functional kitchen. Great if you are staying longer and self catering. Dinner was fantastic - looked and tasted great. Breakfast was provided for the dawn safari and high quality. Climb the water tower for a great view across the countryside and watch the birds. Would have liked to stay longer.

Paradise in Yala, everything was outstanding, one of the best places we stayed in the last years all over the world. We were overwhelmed by the attention and friendliness of the staff, the calm beauty of the place, wonderfull pool, spacious and clean room, exceptional food, great safari organisation with experienced drivers for a high chance of leopard sighting. Rashan and his team left no wishes unfulfilled and made our stay just perfect

Property is beautiful - we stayed in one of the bungalows and it was so clean, modern and spacious. We were welcomed with watermelon juice and a cold flannel which was such a nice touch. The pool is great to relax in and they also have a garden where they grow a lot of the foods that you will eat. The staff are also very helpful, really make you feel welcome. The food is also fabulous - we enjoyed the BBQ fish fillet between 3 and a Thai curry set menu. There is also an observer tower where you can watch the sunset from. Heaven!

Impresionante! El apartamento es un lujo, súper bonito, muy amplio, súper limpio, tenía de todo e incluso muchísimos juguetes para los niños. El baño y la ducha exterior una pasada. El lugar es un oasis de tranquilidad. La comida y el desayuno los mejores del viaje, y el personal extraordinario. Me hubiese quedado allí mucho más tiempo!

So, i can not recommend Wild Lotus enough. For anyone visiting Yala, the Wild Lotus is a must! The communication leading up to our stay with Madu was first class and the service at the stay was exeptional! Roshan and his team could not do enough for us, they were absolutly fantastic. While here you have to try the safari at the Yala National Park... Top tip.. ask for Bindu as your guide, he has been a guide at the park for 30+ years, knows all the spots and i swear he can communicate with the animals. All in all, fantastic. Thank you to all the team that made our families stay unforgetable

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt mit tollen Personal und super organisierter Safari mit Hotel eigenem Landrover. Es lohnt sich wirklich direkt über die Lodge zu buchen. Der Manager war besonders bemüht uns alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Ein besonderer Pluspunkt sind auch die Fahrräder, welche man sich kostenfrei ausleihen kann. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Dit pareltje is absoluut nummer één van de verblijven tijdens onze rondreis! Het personeel is onnoemelijk vriendelijk en staat continu ter beschikking. Wij verbleven in een huis met keuken, living, groot terras. Onberispelijk proper. Elk moment genoten van dit verblijf. Eten ook ok en als je op safari gaat krijg je een heerlijk ontbijt on the go mee. Voor ons een echte oase van rust , en persoonlijk aandacht.

We kunnen echt niets bedanken wat ons niet beviel.

Alle haben uns perfekt umsorgt. Wir hatten die full day Safari. Absolut empfehlenswert.

The villa itself is very beautiful and the pool is very nice and has a nice temperature. The service of the manager and other staff is exceptional. We had a great safari, also via the accommodation, had great breakfast, and a delightful diner / bbq. They put on a bonfire and some fire lanterns. I recommend this to everyone!

The staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest has a special experience. The safari arranged through Wild Lotus was a highlight of my trip. Our guide’s knowledge of Yala’s wildlife was outstanding, and his eye for spotting animals meant we didn’t just see the big attractions, but also appreciated the smaller details of the park’s ecosystem. We managed to tick off 4 out of Yala’s Big 5, including an unforgettable leopard sighting and the joy of watching baby elephants up close. Even though the elusive sloth bear avoided us this time, the whole experience was thrilling and beautifully paced, with the right mix of adventure and respect for the animals. From the property to the safari, Wild Lotus Yala delivered a perfect balance of comfort, adventure, and authenticity. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone wanting the best of Yala, both inside and outside the park

Hem viscut una gran experiència en aquest hotel proper a Yala i el recomanem molt, especialment per a famílies. Les habitacions són grans, espaioses i noves. El servei ha sigut Excel·lent i molt familiar, començant pel propietari i acabant per l’atenció espectacular del Roshan (mànager). I també destacariem la qualitat del menjar que s’ofereix, vam sopar molt i molt bé!

Das Wild Lotus Yala ist eine Oase der Ruhe, in der man sich nur wohlfühlen kann. Das Team ist super aufmerksam und lässt keine Wünsche offen! Die Bungalows, der Pool, die komplette Anlage sind super gepflegt und sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut! Auch mit der Safari hat alles geklappt! Absolute Empfehlung!

Tout ! C’était beau, un service au top. Une piscine chaude et un esprit classe en osmose avec la nature. On a adoré cette alliance choc absolu et simplicité.

Es una villa fantástica. Espaciosa y decorada con muy buen gusto. Todo lo necesario para hacer una estancia fantástica. El personal no puede ser más amable y atento. Desde luego, para repetir.

Staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, the whole bungalow was lovely and felt like safari lodge luxury - so in keeping with the local environment but very comfortable. Loved the outdoor shower. Dinner was delicious and plentiful, communication was excellent throughout. Many places in Europe could learn something from these guys from a hospitality perspective.

Nothing not to like. Wished we could have stayed more than one night.

Due ville immerse in un’oasi di pace con piscina, giochi per bambini e animali . Alvin e spot due cani deliziosi. Colazioni pranzi e cene serviti nella privacy più totale con prodotti di ottima qualità. La casa è enorme e curata. E lo staff perfetto! Grazie ancora !
