Villa Sofia

C'est une maison bleue, comme dans la chanson : ouverte, accueillante, chaleureuse. Et... face à la mer. Le jardin, c'est la plage : on y descend par un petit escalier en pierres. Cette plage n'est que très peu fréquentée, des enfants viennent y jouer sur les rochers, de temps à autres. Tranquillité absolue. La mer est d'une couleur magnifique ! L'atout de cette maison, c'est cette plage, ses transats face à la mer. Les couchers de soleil y sont sublimes, les journées s'étirent doucement, doucement. Le jacuzzi, le gazebo, la varangue, la petite plage surplombant la mer : autant d'endroits variés où se reposer selon l'ensoleillement. Le coeur de cette maison, c'est Amy, qui a enchanté notre séjour grâce à son sourire, sa gentillesse, sa disponibilité, ses repas créoles préparés avec beaucoup d'attentions ! Nous avons passé là une dizaine de jours de repos absolu, dans un décor de carte postale.

En extérieur, la Villa Sofia est une pure merveille ! La plage est magnifique, vraiment très belle, même si, au mois d’août, les vagues viennent frapper violemment les rochers quasiment toute la journée. Cependant, la mer reste très chaude. Toutes les plages aux Seychelles sont publiques ; toutefois, sur celle-ci, il n’y a jamais eu personne d’autre que nous. Les couchers de soleil dans le spa face à la mer sont sublimes. Il y a plein de transats. Le terrain est grand. Il y a des vélos, un kayak et un practice de golf. La terrasse est très agréable, surtout à la nuit tombée, avec un peu de fraîcheur, car si les chambres sont climatisées, le reste de la maison, lui, ne l’est pas. L’environnement est calme ; même avec la route du littoral qui longe la propriété, on n’entend pas les voitures, peut-être grâce aux vagues. Le gardien qui habite à 5 mètres, en face, dans la deuxième maison, est adorable et invisible. On ne le voit quasiment jamais. La très jeune fille qui vient faire le ménage quasiment tous les jours est elle aussi charmante. Malgré tout, cette intervention quotidienne ne nous a pas empêchés de ressentir une immense déception concernant la propreté intérieure de la maison, que j’explique dans les points négatifs. Et je précise que nous ne sommes pourtant pas des fous furieux du ménage, mais il y a des limites. Nous avons voulu partir dès le lendemain. Nous en avons informé les propriétaires et, dans un 2e temps, nous avons déposé une réclamation auprès de Booking. Les propriétaires ont gentiment fait une recherche pour nous, affirmant qu’il y avait beaucoup d’autres locations, mais malgré leurs encouragements, de notre côté, nous n’avons pas trouvé de plus ou moins équivalent dans notre gamme de prix, même si nous étions prêts à mettre un peu plus pour sortir de là.

J'ai envoyé 48 photos au service client de Booking en guise de preuve, suite à notre réclamation. En effet, l'intérieur de la maison manque grandement d’hygiène : c’est sale ! Jusqu'aux verres à dents dans les salles de bains, qui n'ont pas été lavés depuis ??? Le plan de travail de la cuisine est moisi sur toute la longueur de l'évier ; les serviettes de toilette, supposées être blanches, étaient décolorées. On nous a dit que c'étaient juste des taches de rouille !!!! Les tapis de sortie de lit n'étaient plus bleu ciel, mais gris avec des auréoles. La crotte d'oiseau sur le mur de la douche est restée là toute la semaine (laissée en test). Tout l’intérieur d’un des placards de la cuisine, où je croyais trouver les sacs-poubelles, était couvert de taches de graisse et d'autres crottes de je ne sais quoi. La brosse WC sans manche, la chaise bébé qui devrait être à la déchetterie, des taches sur le canapé, les coussins de la terrasse, des fils électriques dénudés accessibles, la hotte de la cuisine rouillée ; l’égouttoir à couverts a été la première chose que j’ai nettoyée, ça devait faire des mois qu’il n’avait pas vu une éponge, et les éponges n’en parlons pas, etc. Les propriétaires ont été très communicants et réactifs, nous les en remercions. Nous pensons sincèrement qu’ils n’étaient pas au courant de la dégradation de leur maison, car ils ne sont pas sur place. Il y a eu des efforts de faits. Toutefois, cela n’a pas été suffisant pour retrouver une hygiène acceptable. La Villa Sofia pourrait sincèrement être en endroit paradisiaque si une rénovation pouvait lui redonner sa fraîcheur d’antan. Et pour conclure, Booking a apporté une réponse positive à notre réclamation, nous donnant raison. À noter, il y a des caméras qui couvrent l'intégralité des espaces extérieurs et notamment la terrasse et le spa.

L’emplacement est idéal avec accès à la plage directement. Cathrina a été fantastique lors de notre séjour et a été d’une grande aide. Ses repas étaient délicieux, nous espérons revenir un jour !

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber und Angestellte, sehr zuvorkommend und hilfreich. Das Anwesen grenzt direkt an einen wunderschönen Strand mit kleinem Korallenriff und vielen Fischen. Die grosszügige Terrasse und alles drum rum war einfach super. Auch haben wir das Kajak ausprobiert, war echt witzig.

Zur Villa Sophia gabs auch Fahrräder, diese sind jedoch etwas havariert.

At Villa Sofia, we found everything we were looking for—peace, quiet, privacy, and beautiful views. Cathrina is a wonderful person and an amazing host who prepared the most delicious dinners for us every day using local ingredients. We were absolutely delighted with our stay; it felt like we had a piece of peaceful paradise all to ourselves.

Priestranná plne vybavená vila v súkromnej záhrade priamo na pláži v tichom prostredí. Veľká terasa s rozličnými možnosťami sedenia. Pravidelne dopĺňaná pitná voda. Denné upratovanie a staroatlivosť o záhradu. Nápomocný personál.

Mierne tvrdšie postele. Slabo odtekajúca voda v odtokoch. Dom vyžadujúci celkovú rekonštrukciu. Na mnohých veciach vidno, že sú už po životnosti alebo veľmi amatérsky spravené alebo nedotiahnuté detaily, napr. káble trčiace zo steny. Po veľkom daždi kvapkalo zo stropu vo WC.

Je ziet dat het al een ouder huis is, dit zie je aan de afwerking. Wij hadden geen auto gehuurd en dan is het lastiger om naar een restaurant te gaan. Daar heb je dan echt een taxi voor nodig. Locale vervoer werkt namelijk 's avonds niet meer.

Kontakt z właścicielem był wyjątkowy — pomógł nam nawet, gdy zaginęły nasze walizki po przylocie na wyspę. Otoczył nas opieką i wsparciem na każdym kroku. Caterina, która zajmuje się domem, była niezwykle serdeczna. Można wszystko z nią ustalić, kiedy ma być i sprzątać a kiedy ma nie przychodzić. Przygotowane przez nią posiłki były wspaniałe i pełne lokalnych smaków. Na życzenie można zamówić masaż z zapierającym dech widokiem na ocean — prawdziwa uczta dla zmysłów. Meble w domu są wprawdzie trochę przestarzałe, ale wszystko działało bez zarzutu i dom jest w pełni wyposażony, więc nie brakowało nam absolutnie niczego. To miejsce z duszą i z sercem, w które włożono mnóstwo troski o gości. Na pewno tu wrócimy.

The location of the villa is extraordinary: white soft sand on an almost private beach, your own coconut trees, shop 20 meters away, bus stop 10 meters. It is the perfect place to spend your vacation in Seychelles. The outdoor space is amazing: a huge terrace furnished for all the necessities and moments of the day, a gazebo with jacuzzi to admire sunsets that other people waste hours to see from different places. All outdoor spaces have ceiling fans, so the atmosphere is cool regardless of the outside temperatures. The interior is furnished and equipped with everything necessary: ​​fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning in each bedroom The collaboration with the villa owners was great. We received answers to all the questions we had during the months leading up to our stay, necessary advice for the Seychelles, as well as recommendations for excursions, transfers to Praslin, etc. And, this location also has an angel: Cathrina, the soul of the house. She is an extraordinary person, who took care of everything we needed: we were pampered every moment of our stay. Thousands of thanks Cathrina!!!

We loved the entire property, big rooms and a beautiful terrace for everyone you enjoy, the outdoor jacuzzi was amazing and the private sandy beach just for us was unbelievable, a dream! The host was very kind to help us before with all the questions we had! The extra plus was Cathrina who was cooking for us creole food every evening we loved it so much all of us, we didn’t want to leave! Highly recommended and will return!

Beach and outside zones

The villa is amazing with the huge area and free time services available- kayak, minigolf, bicycles. The jacuzzi during the sunset is incredible and one cannot take an eye off from the beautiful beach and the palms in front. Communication with the host Tiziana during the booking was quick and efficient. The house keepers are nice and supportive, the garden and the house are well maintained, although a bit outdated. We did have some privacy issues, however, we do not point it as a negative thing, but rather as a recommendation to improve. - The main car gate was not fixed during our stay, and the door was permanently opened. That caused the fact that some foreign people just entered the house without any doubts - for example we got a tourist couple entered the private property “looking for a perfect sunset point” 🤪 we highly recommend to fix the gate and to let it permanently closed if not in use - The beach in front of the villa was pretty alive during our stay. The tourists from nearby apartments as well as the locals came to the beautiful, hidden beach corner in front of the villa, and sometimes they were sitting directly on the stairs leading to the villa, or even came up and observed what we are doing as there is no physical barrier to enter the villa from the beach side. We highly recommend to put some visual barrier to let the guests of the villa not being observed by the people which do not understand the sign “ private property”. - We clearly stated that we are leaving at 10 AM during our checkout day. However, the whole house staff came at 8 AM and tried to clean the house and outside as we were in underwear. We asked them to stop and they did, however, spent two hours at the villa chatting with gardener outside. We highly recommend to retrain the staff to be more respectful to the villa guests and their privacy.

We were not offered a credit card payment option as we had to pay a deposit for the villa and we must pay extensive bank transfer fees. Ask for the credit card payment option from the beginning.

Smell of the house at entrance. absence of maintenance of the house, it could be a gems if small maintenance/enhancement are done. a lot of Lizards inside the house causing disturbance for the kids

Great contact with the owners - quick and always helpful. The Villa's location is perfect - a piece of paradise just for yourself. Katherina and Marielle will make you feel so welcome and they can cook the most delicious dinner too. Absolutely amazing place that I will recommend and come back for sure.
