The place is beautiful and it was nice to eat our meals outside. The kitchen is well equipped with enough utensils. The place was clean and there is cleaning service during the weekend. Comfortable beds and spaciuos bathrooms. Exactly like on pictures!

We had the most delightful stay! This place is a real gem — spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully set up with everything you could need. Beautifully clean, peaceful and so welcoming. You can feel the care that has gone into creating such a welcoming space.

The hosts leave thoughtful tokens for their guests to enjoy. A bottle of good wine; cold bottled water; bath salts, bath créme and a range of bath products - lotion; shampoo; conditioner; liquid soap. The cottage has two bathrooms - one with a huge bath and the other with a shower. We have been staying at Timmerstuga for 3 breakaways now and will be returning in future. There's a patio under a grapevine where one can braai (have a barbeque) and just chill. It is one of the few holiday homes where one has all the cooking utensils needed for proper holiday dining.

Because we have been returning to Timmerstuga a couple of times and plan to do so in future, we have got used to the absence of a TV in the cottage. It would have been great to have one, but it allows us to relax without a TV.

Alles is netjes en je bent van alle gemakken voorzien. Als cadeautje lagen er verse sinaasappels en paprika’s. Mara is een geweldig eigenaresse. We zijn weer ontzettend blij dat we bij haar mochten blijven.

There wasn't anything not to like.

Very clean, modern and everything worked. Had Aircon and lots of shade which would be great for the hotter months. Great location for Kruger. Good communication throughout. We ended up returning for a few more days at the end of our trip.

Really nice accommodation that is close to shops, supermarket and coffee shop. Kruger is close too, and an easy drive to the nearest gate. The house is lovely, with great interior, clean and comfy. The host was super accommodating with a specific request I had and was easy to contact.

Spacious home with complete amenities and good location close to supermarkets, restaurants and Malelane Gate for Kruger National Park.

Shower floor was very slippery and dangerous when showering . Suggest to put a non-slip mat on the shower floor.

I loved the place.Property was amazing. So worth it. My only regret is I couldn't stay here longer. Would definitely stay again if I get another chance. The host was really clear in instructions. Got everything I needed. No complaints at all.

This cottage is amazing. The furnishings are so tasteful and beautiful. Loved all the small decoration details. We loved the 2 x bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The outside area was spacious and the gas braai made everything so easy. Beds were comfortable and the area quiet. Loved the sound of the rain on the roof. The kitchen was well planned every possible coffee idea you can imagine. The modern microwave made our dinners fast and easy. Will nevery stay anywhere else in the area.

We liked everything about this gem. Extremely well furnished with all necessities and a lot more! Very nice sheltered outdoor area where we could braai in the evening after returning from the KNP. The gas braai was an added bonus and we didn't have to wait too long for our dinner. And being woken up by birdsong is always welcome!!

The place was really great! You can tell the host has put a lot of effort into details. Very clean and private, beds super comfortable, each bedroom had own bathroom. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The welcome chocolates and wine were a special extra touch. Arrival is easy with a lockbox - own keys and remote so easy to leave and arrive. Safe parking spot for car. Location is also good - ±15 mins from the Malelane Gate. Would definitely recommend!

Das Haus ist im Schwedenstil, aber wie ein kleines "U" gebaut. Vorne die überdachte Terrasse, dahinter der gut ausgestattete Wohn-/Küchenraum und dahinter rechts ein Schlafraum mit kleinerem Doppelbett (ca. 1,60 breit) und in der Verlängerung ein eigenes Bad mit Dusche. Auf der linken Seite gleiche Aufteilung, allerdings zwei 90er Einzelbetten und im Bad eine freistehende Badewanne. Alles sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet.

really excellent villa , nicely designed and with nice host. very close to Kruger park male lane gate, safe and secure. 2 bedrooms, each with private bath. Internet was good.

Die Unterkunft optimal gelegen vor dem Kruger Park. Die Ausstattung ist schön und man fühlt sich sehr wohl.

Er is veel aandacht besteed aan de inrichting, die erg smaakvol is. Er zijn 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers, de ene met een douche, de andere met een bad. Je wordt verwend met lekkere zeepjes, koekjes, thee, een flesje wijn... erg aangenaam. De keuken is goed ingericht en op het buitenterras staat ook een gas-BBQ. Het huis staat in een een 'betere' buurt: mooie huizen achter een stevig hekken.

All was good,loved every thing .

It had everything we needed for self catering. Really well catered down to the smallest detail in terms of cutlery and crockery. It was extremely hot that week we were there and the property had air conditioning in the lounge area and main bedroom.

Only criticism was that the fridge didn’t cool enough to keep drinks very cold.

The house is very comfortable, the territory is secured. It has two big bed-rooms, very nice dining room combined with a fully-equipped kitchen and a very cosy terrace with gas Barbecue surrounded by a lovely garden. The hostess offered also a welcome wine, fruits and chocolates, as well as drinking water which was unexpectable and very pleasant. Before arriving we got a clear instruction, how to drive to the house and to get keys (from the lock box). During the stay the hostess answered all our questions via WhatsApp very quickly.

Our stay at Timmerstuga was nothing short of perfect. This charming getaway offers the ideal combination of comfort, privacy, and natural beauty. The cabin-style accommodation is thoughtfully designed, cozy, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. The hosts attention to detail and hospitality really made our experience special. Timmerstuga is a true hidden gem. We can’t wait to return!

There was a bat in the cottage that was keeping us awake during the night.

First time here and was very impressed. A lot of effort has gone into the cottage. All the facilities you need and more.

Friendly welcome, and the place was clean and neat. The welcome gifts were quite a nice touch.

The host was very good with communication. Quality finishes and products in the cabin. Very well stocked. Would definitely recommend this place.

I would have given the place a 5/5. What let the place down was the noises. U can hear every little twig drop, raindrop and movement in the cabin. Also noises from the solar/electricity at different intervals at night. Because of this only slept for 2 hours at most.

Everything! It’s a beautiful cottage with everything you can dream of. They will definitely see us again!

Fantastic attention to detail. Loved the use of industrial components to create functional and aesthetic utilities. The provision of chocolates and wine was a nice touch.

The facilities and utilities were excellent. Our only recommendation is that the fridge be replaced as the current one took strain in getting really cold in the sweltering heat which reached 40 degrees during the day.

The quaintness of the decor and fittings - most unusual.

Beautiful amenities, super close to the Kruger gate. Easy check in and out allowing me to leave early enough to get to the Kruger gate for opening time.

After spending two full days of safaris in Kruger National Park, it was the right place to enjoy a good sleep and relax before moving to the next phase of our South African trip. Owners were not at the property, but communication was excellent both before and during the stay.
