It was all miserable. There was no curtain, rod fell and I ask the staff to put it back, didnt do it. Geyzer not working, no curtains so bare window with everything visible, and imagine 2 girls staying in that room. So pathetic that I would wish I never went, and really wish for a full refund as it was miserable.

I stayed at Joey’s Hostel Rishikesh for 5 days, and I can genuinely say that my experience there was amazing. From the beginning, the place had a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It didn’t just feel like a place where you come, sleep, and leave — it actually felt like a community where you get to meet new people, make friends, explore Rishikesh, and create some really good memories. One of the biggest highlights of my stay was David bhai, the community manager. He is an amazing person and really adds something special to the hostel experience. I also went on a tour with him, and I had such a great time. He made the whole experience fun, comfortable, and memorable. He knows how to bring people together, which is exactly what you want from a community manager at a hostel I would definitely recommend Joey’s Hostel Rishikesh to anyone visiting Rishikesh, especially solo travelers and people who enjoy meeting new people and being part of a social hostel environment. I had a great stay at this hostel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff shiva was friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. The location was convenient, and the facilities were well maintained. Overall, it was a pleasant and affordable stay. I would definitely recommend this hostel to others.

What I liked most about Joey’s Hostel was the amazing vibe and friendly atmosphere. I met Shiva Bhai and David Bhai during my stay, and both were extremely helpful, fun-loving, and welcoming. They made the stay even more enjoyable and memorable. The rooftop, location, and overall social atmosphere were also great. Would definitely love to visit again!

Everything was good

I loved the Staff of the property. They were extremely wonderful of human being specifically the front desk people. They were extremely courteous and helpful with everything. The location is extremely prime of the property where all the major spots of Rishikesh exist.

I think The management when it comes to the managing of toiletries or cleanliness, or maybe the visual appeal of the property is something that was underwhelming for me, but rest was great

I came here for peace and that's all I got. Kudos to the people running the place. The murals on the walls and whole ambience was perfect. I spent a full whole night on the rooftop the morning view is amazing. Keep it up !!!

If you’re staying at Joey’s Hostel, don’t miss the Kunjapuri Sunrise Tour with David Bhai. It was easily one of the best experiences of my Rishikesh trip. David Bhai made the entire journey fun, comfortable, and well-organized. He knows all the best viewpoints, shares interesting local stories, and makes sure everyone enjoys the experience. Watching the first rays of sunlight light up the Himalayas was absolutely unforgettable. What I appreciated most was his friendly nature and genuine care for everyone in the group. He doesn’t just guide the tour—he creates an experience you’ll remember long after your trip ends. A huge thank you to David Bhai for such an amazing morning. I highly recommend joining the Kunjapuri Sunrise Tour if you want to experience the beauty of Rishikesh in the best possible way!

I liked the location and the hospitality with the staff

But while I've checked in I was assigned with a bed and the same day nothing happened and the other day when I tried to sleep it wasn't possible because bedbugs were biting me they changed immediately other room but there also bed bugs are there when I tried tk complaint the staff was telling its my problem as im traveling h would have bought with u this is not wright and not appropriate to blame customers for the cleanliness issue which they have done I have encountered it doesn't meant everyone should encounter the same issue the Cafe isn't clean full of dust and also the common area inthe reception is also having full of dust its looks untidy So please make sure other customers doest ruin their sleep for these bedbugs and its wasn't carried by me stop blaming customers

The property must have a backup electricity source, as we had to undergo hardship during the night on account of consistent and constant power cut.

The stay at joeys hostel was so cozy and comfortable they took us to some good places like sunrise and waterfall which was a good and adventures experience for us ! David bhai always try to get together everyone from the hostel !

The location near Laxman Jhula/Tapovan is also convenient for cafés, rafting, yoga spots, and exploring the city. Many guests specifically mention the rooftop café and mountain views as highlights.

Had an amazing stay at the Joey's Hostel ! A special thanks to David, who took us on a trek to secret waterfall—it was truly a memorable experience. This was also my first solo trip, and it turned out to be an incredible journey filled with great people, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

Really good experience. The location is great, which made getting around very easy. The staff were genuinely kind, helpful, and very approachable. They knew the place well and were always ready to guide with useful suggestions, including some nice low-crowd spots that made the trip feel much more relaxed and personal. A special mention to David bhai as well, he was especially helpful and made everything smoother. The common/community area had a really nice vibe, and it was easy to meet people without it feeling crowded or forced. I also liked that they had a live music session, which added a lot to the atmosphere, and the daily activity was free and actually genuinely good, not just something added for the sake of it. Those little things made the stay feel more memorable and social.

The dorm was alright. So were the bathrooms. Dirty at times, but cleaned frequently so not that much of an issue. The rooftop cafe was unnecessarily overpriced but there are a lot of options around so not a problem either.

I had an incredible time staying here! Also a budget friendly find in rishikesh. The dorms are spacious, clean and we'll maintained with thoughtful touches of privacy curtains and individual charging ports. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. Overall i had an amazing time here. Will be back with my friends soon.

Stayed here for 2 days and Joey’s is hands down one of the best social hostels in Rishikesh. The staff don’t just give directions and leave you hanging. They actually help you visit nearby places and plan trips for groups.They’ll club you with other solo travelers from the hostel, so you’re never exploring alone unless you want to.

Property itself is located near the market and yet quiet spot tucked away closer to main road.

It was good value for money and staff was accommodating.

Very good hostel, well located, I stayed in a single room and really felt comfortable. The team working there is very nice, special mention to Ankit who has been really helpful and kind all along! Would definitely recommend!

Really close to lakshman jhula barely a 800 metre walk. Very well spoken people were their at the reception, very helpful with everything Rooms can be a bit bigger but since we had requested an extra mattress when reaching the property they were really helful in managing that for us! No complaints otherwise

It was my second time at Joeys and it was awsome and better than before. David took us to evening ganga aarti and it was just a great experience.

The location is easy to locate and rooms are neat and bathroom is clean and has a water geyser. Moreover, the live music session by Shiva was nice and roof top cafe is also there.

Curtain size seems to be small as per window/room and there should be a hanger inside the room for clothes.
