Se dovessi dare un voto di cuore metterei un dieci, ma è necessario essere obiettivi. Lo staff è stato gentilissimo: dall’accoglienza, alla caffetteria, al ragazzo che ogni mattina portava acqua e caffè. Purtroppo però la pulizia ha lasciato molto a desiderare. C’erano dei piccoli parassiti nel letto (NON cimici), ad ogni doccia il bagno si allagava per problemi allo scarico, le pareti erano molto sporche. Siamo viaggiatrici backpackers da molti anni, ci sappiamo adattare però il livello di igiene e di pulizia andrebbe migliorato.

Was a basic hostel.

The bathroom could have been better. Clean. Better designed. Bright. It was very very sub par. On my return journey, I let go of my booking and booked another place close by. GoStays. Much better.

Everything was so good

I stayed for a couple of days in the female dorm and really enjoyed my stay here so I came back. The hostel is ideally located between upper and lower Tapovan, making everything really accessible. The dorm (+bathroom) is cleaned twice a day and has all you need- personnal fan, personnal light and charging station. And there is AC in the room as well + personnal lockers for valuables. The staff is lovely and always trying to help where they can. This place is great value for money!

The AC is hard to ajust in the room but you are offered a big blanket in case it gets too cool. Be aware it can get noisy sometimes around the hostel (had no issues within - and only experienced noise on 1 night) as it is central. But nothing a pair of earplugs won't screen :) Honestly from all the hostels around town, this place seems like the best option :)

Live Free is located conveniently at Tapovan and close to Laxman Jhula and cafes, if you are interested, around that region. The rooms are comfortable and offer a budget friendly stay. I was there for one night and being very close to the main road makes it advantageous with your luggage.

The location was amazing. The room was clean and neat. Toilets were clean and maintained well.

I didn’t like the price of the food . The price can be less. Also the upper bunks are too uncomfortable to climb and the bed moves a lot the moment somebody gets in. Beds should be user friendly.

Clean and good environment in hostel and food was delicious

We booked a room here as it appeared to be a preferred location to start and close trekking expeditions to the Himalayas. From that point of view it was very well run and managed efficiently. The front desk was well prepared to address all the usual traveller queries and also offered good suggestions on the local traffic situation (we ended up there on a long weekend!).

Helpful staff, excellent location our pickup and drop for trekking is next to the hotel, good service.

This is disappointing to write because I’ve been a regular guest here since 2018, when the property had just opened. Unfortunately, my recent experiences has made me decide not to return. The room condition was unacceptable-there was water leaking from the AC, used towels from a previous guest were left in the bathroom, and the floor had a significant number of ants. To make matters worse, there was no water supply in the room initially, and it was only restored after I had to complain twice to the reception. Given my long association with this place, this decline in standards is particularly disappointing. I would not recommend it anymore to any one. It was so bad

The rooms are Budget friendly , easy to navigate and good location close top the ghat. The room are clean

For those on the upper bed in the bunker there is no place open bags sort. Need to do it on the common table which is very restrictive. Also would be great if we can be provided with clean towels. the check out time of 10am was not very clear when I booked on Booking.com

Cleanliness, proximity to the market

We went there for Holi this year and the vibe they created, the arrangements they made were absolutely wonderful! I’ve been to this stay 4 times now and I can say this is my go to place in India!

At the live free I really liked it, I tried both the dormitory and the private rooms, the level of cleanliness is definitely good, the location is perfect and above all the structure is beautiful, there are various common areas, a beautiful terrace, various hammocks on which to rest and a good cafe where you can eat something. The best point is the staff, always kind and smiling, I recommend 100%
