L'hôte est de bon conseil, d'une gentillesse, il prend le temps de parler avec tout le monde. D'une bienveillance extrême. Proche du temple de la dent Une maison avec une âme. Un vrai havre de paix J'y retournerais volontiers

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026Chambre parfaitement propre et jolie. Eau chaude si jamais c'est important pour certain. C'est effectivement à 15-20mn du centre ville et proche de boulangeries pour le petit déjeuner.
Nous avions internet donc pas un soucis, mais la wifi ne se capte pas dans la chambre du bas.

Хостел уютный, чистый, расположен на тихой улочке, но недалеко от центра, и на небольшом возвышении, так что было здорово сидеть на балконе и наслаждаться видом. Поблизости есть продуктовый магазин. Интернет хороший. А хозяин Нихал делает все возможное, чтобы его гостям было комфортно. Я чувствовала себя как дома. Большое спасибо!

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026It was nice stay, with walkable distance from Kandy lake and Tooth Relic temple. Staff was nice, everything was being taken care of properly. They even give discounted tickets for traditional cultural program. One thing I want to say, I had bad experience with one of female in the dorm, she can't sleep with fan on and it was too hot. When I told this to Hostel owner they changed my room for the night and sort the issue immediately.

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026Oda ve banyo temizdi. Çalışan kişi çok yardımseverdi. Bize nerelere gezmemiz gerektiğini anlattı ve bir problememiz hakkında bize yardımcı oldu.
Oda çok yoğun rutubet kokuyor. Rutubete alerjim var ve beni kötü etkiledi. Kapıyı açtık koku azalsın diye ama sinekler içeri giriyor. Yatak çok rahatsızdı, sürekli ses çıkarıyor ve kırılacak diye korktuk.

Location far away from the city centre. You can get a tuk tuk. We tried but the guy didn't understand. We gave up and walked. It's manageable but it was night and the area is pretty dark and densely covered with trees. Frightening! Room was nice enough but the bathroom stank with no obvious source. Bathroom certainly needs to be upgraded The owner asked us to leave our footwear outside the door! come on, not everyone is comfortable doing that at a rented stay Overall, wouldn't recommend. We couldn't wait to get out of there and we stayed only a night

Objekat se nalazi na brdu, pa nije baš najlakše za vraćanje nazad u objekat. Ja sam koristila tuk tuk.

Reviewed Mar 3, 2026Nice calm place. Very helpful hosts. Very clean and peaceful. Well kept garden around and you see monkeys playing around too some days. If you don’t mind walking, Walk down the main road to the lake and then walk around the lake to get to the temple and city centre. A 30 min walk to the city centre. Tuk Tuk will take you 10 min. But the walk is really nice as you can walk along the lake getting nice views.
Well the only thing is there is no kitchen so you can’t make any food as you can in some hostels. But you can ask the hosts for what you want and they try to accommodate you.

Reviewed Feb 10, 2026The property is relatively easy to find with a sign outside saying Lazy bear inn. The owner wasn’t there but the house cleaner came and checked us in however was a bit hard to get in contact with for check in. The room was clean and the beds were nice. It is close to town but you may struggle to walk down the busy roads, we did it twice and is only 10-15 minutes to town and temple of the tooth so definitely possible, otherwise Tuktuks are relatively easy to get but cannot drive all the way to the temple due to a no drive barricade so will have to walk 5 minutes. The actual property has hot water shower and simple bathroom facilities, small ant infestation but nothing that can’t be handled.
The owner was a little hard to contact but we had booked just an hour before so maybe not expecting us

The only disadvantage of the place is that it is slightly far from the centre of town. Although it’s a 15 minute walk so it’s not so bad.

The room that i stayed was smelling terribly bad. And also the swatter (fly whisk) was smelling seriously disgusting. Common areas were good but urgently need changing or meantenance the room that i stayed.

我游历过很多国家，住宿过上百家的hostel，这是唯一一个要在我预订的价格上还要再加3美元的店家，我2晚住宿费是14.40美元，加税等其它费用是3美元，预订价格合计是17.40美元，店家一定要再加3美元，说每晚的税及其它费用是3美元，我和据理力争了好一会，最后我打开booking给他看，每晚另加的税及其他费用应该是1.35美元，而不是每晚3美元，最后他才按我的预订价格收费。虽然最后没有多收费，但是这个过程让我感觉很不舒服，店家天天收住宿费的，难道不知道每天应该收多少税费及其他费用吗？而且这个费用booking上是注明的。 这是我从未感受到住宿在此的受到的各种约束，店家的女员工经常关注你，经常提醒你，这也不行那也不行，上午十点多就来提醒我要退房了，管束太多，我换了一家hostel入住后立刻感到轻松和自由。

Wir hatten das Zimmer unten am Eingang und das Internet ist nicht im Zimmer angekommen. die Räume sind sehr feucht.

Maybe 20 min walk to the main part of town (FYI there's a stair shortcut that connects "Louis Peiris Mawatha" and "Kandy-Kirimetiya" roads, so you can walk on the sidewalk by the lake instead of the shoulder of a bigger road). Social but calm vibe

Reviewed Mar 27, 2025what a sweet and chill place! this place had all i need... good area to chill, enough place for yoga and a small nice garden and not to forget the best people are working here! They're doing all to make your stay the best! Had some really nice evenings and conversations with them and met also other nice travellers! further more it's in a nice quite area and the walk to the town you will have near to the lake is just beautiful. i hope i'll come again one day.
