Reviewed Sep 15, 2026駅からは少し遠いですが30分に1本無料のバスがあるのであまり不便には感じませんでした。バスから降りると看板犬がお迎えしてくれます。 晴れていれば部屋からアイガーなど錚々たる山々が見渡せて最高です。 朝ごはんはビュッフェ形式でパン、チーズ、ヨーグルト、ハム、ドリンクどれも美味しいです。共用キッチンもあるのでやる気があれば自炊も可能です。 シャワールームやトイレも清掃が行き届いておりとても清潔でした。
チェックイン時にリネン類を渡されて自分でベッドメイクするのですが、シーツが若干湿っている感じがしました。 そのほかは気になるところありませんでした。

The bathrooms, it was a shared mixed bathroom. I knew I was staying at a hostel, but when I selected to stay in a girls only room, I thought that came with a girls only bathroom as well. I even noticed men were uncomfortable when we would run into each other in the bathroom.

Bei der Buchung auf Booking-com gab es einen Irrtum: Ich hatte ein Doppelzimmer mit Doppelbett gebucht (vermeintlich). Es war dann aber ein Doppel-Kajütenbett. Dies sollte bei den Buchingsoptionen klarer dargestellt werden (Kritik an Booking.com!, nich am Naturfreundehaus)

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Loved the location, the backyard views , we even had a neighbour playing a Swiss horn one evening. Great breaky. We paid for towels twice because we thought we had to buy them , then found they were included in our room, that maybe could have been clearer. Overall though a fabulous stay, the bus stops right out front and Grindelwald is amazing!!!

The location is quite far, and it is very steep to walk. To be fair, the hotel informs about that. But the rooms itself could be improved, honestly. The mattresses are just on the floor. It is neither comfortable neither hygienic. And the quality of sheets could be really better. I would not say that it is the best value for money — for 100 CHF per night to sleep on the floor.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Incredible property with sweeping views of the Eiger. Beautiful outside space to sit in the sun and sip a beer. I opted for dinner and it was excellent. Breakfast was also amazing with a nice variety of meat, cheese, bread, and yogurt. The owners are really friendly and helpful too. I would absolutely come back and stay here again.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026The Hostel was in a very pretty area on top of a pretty steep hill but away from the town congestion, breakfast was as always in Switzerland - filling, tasty and abundant
The Hostel is on top of a steep hill and no food options up there so eat before you travel to the hostel, If you get there late one of the wandering guests will open the front door for you and your bedding will wait in a big sack right by the entrance, together with your room key. Arriving in Grindelwald after 18:30 limits transfer options from the rail station to very few taxis, which may also be challenging to get hold of, the phone number at the taxi stand says 24x7 but did not pick up when I called. I ended up going to a hotel by the station and they offered to call for taxi because they deal with taxi all the time. (so taxi listens to them?) Hiking up the hill is fun, very pretty, why else go to Switzerland right? But my family included our grandchild, and my wife was a bit exhausted already too Uber - locals will tell you Uber is a "ripoff" so no Uber in Switzerland (for ripoff wait for what the taxi will charge you for a 5 min ride after you booked a hostel for budget travelers :o) But overall staying at the hostel was an extension of traveling around Switzerland - green, splendid views on the three peaks across the valley, way better in my opinion than staying in Grindelwald "proper"

The breakfast was offered at an incredibly limited time. Unfortunately, I woke up a bit too late and missed the breakfast end time, which was around 9AM.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Lage etwas ausserhalb, dafür ruhig und schöne Aussicht. Nachteil ist, dass das Haus ca. 100 Höhenmeter oberhalb von Grindelwald liegt, d. h. entweder ein Fussmarsch oder man nimmt den Bus, der aber nur bis 18.45 Uhr fährt.
Preis-Leistung: Natürlich, es war Hochsaison. Aber Fr. 75 (ohne Parkplatz) für ein Bett in einem 16m2-Zimmer im Sous-sol mit Gemeinschafts-Sanitäranlagen finde ich zu viel. Das Frühstück war ok, aber nichts Besonders (hatte ich auch nicht erwartet).

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026景色非常优美，能看到整个山，出门两步很能看到梦幻山坡。最关键的是真的很便宜（相较于其他酒店）。店内设施挺完善的，员工态度也非常友好。真的很想多住几晚可惜我的行程紧张。下次一定会再来的。
如果上下床能换的更结实一点就更好了。现在的床上下的时候很容易晃动，影响其他人休息。
