Reviewed Jul 6, 2026La localisation est idéale pour tous ceux qui souhaitent partir en randonnée. L'hôtel est à quelques pas seulement de la gare et est également à proximitié de plusieurs cafés, bars et restaurants. La literie est confortable.
Nous aurions aimé pouvoir profiter du bar de l'établissement mais il semblait fermer tôt, nous arrivions toujours après la fermeture. Cela dit, la ville était très calme à cette saison et c'est peut-être la raison.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026Django's location to the Tanabe Tourist Information Center, the Kii-Tanabe train station and the #2 bus stop for Takajiri-oji was excellent. For Kumano Kodo trekkers the Tokei shrine was an easy 6-8 minute walk. There are many nearby restaurants and cafes for meals as well as a 7-11 next to the train station. Check in was incredibly easy and the owner (?) was exceptionally kind. My arrival to Django was a bit later than expected so I sent a message to the property. The response I received was not to worry as someone will wait for my arrival. The private entrance for guests was terrific. A microwave was available in the small common area. My room was very clean and the AC worked well. There is a small room fridge, hot water maker and coffee/tea. A washer and dryer was on site. Showers were spotless and there was no lack of hot water. Towels, slippers, body wash, shampoo and conditioner and toothbrushes (gratis) were provided.

I made the booking on short notice and was greeted by a staff person who had stayed late to let me in, he was very kind and polite. Dorm beds are perfectly fine. There's an on-site beer vending machine and a rooftop terrace as well! The old film posters give the place a bit of charm.
No complaints, it's perfectly fine for a hostel.

Facilities were good and water pressure was strong for a good nice shower after a long flight before starting our Kumano hike.
