La Tortue Diving Resort Dauin

Un véritable petit coin de paradis en bord de mer. Le personnel est très accueillant et le restaurant sur place de qualité. Nous avons fait une sortie plongée (débutant) avec Nicolas qui s'est très bien passé. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

La vue sur la mer depuis bungalow, les jeux mis à dispositions ET le sanctuaire marin devant l'hébergement accessible en snorkeling ou en plongée (avec l'équipe également au top!)... Les coraux y sont merveilleux, les poissons colorés par centaines et les tortues!!! Merci à Nicolas et Marielle pour leur accueil, leurs conseils, leur gentillesse. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour en famille dans un endroit calme. N'hésitez surtout pas et allez-y les yeux fermés!

I wish I had stayed here instead of Critters because they are not helpful at all. The staff at La Tortue was very kind, helpful and attentive to all my requirements. I'd most specially recommend diving with Mario if you are there! Their breakfast is very yummy and the banana bread is 😍😍 even though the bathroom and toilets are common/ shared it's always very clean. The view from the cabanas are so wow! I absolutely loved this place during my visit.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at! Of course, you should keep in mind that the bamboo bungalow doesn’t have full facilities, but it didn’t bother me at all. Everything is very clean, the staff are friendly, there’s a private beach, a great restaurant, and an excellent dive center. I will definitely come back!

small boutique resort with its own professional dive centre perfectly suites expectations of divers. Bamboo bungalows were very fancy, food in restaurant really delicious. Evening sitting by the sea shore was truly relaxing....

Very close to the beach and diving is very convenient with dive sites being very close to the resort. Staff were very friendly.

Being so close to the beach made it easy to relax and unwind, and snorkeling was just as convenient with the reef only a few meters away. The dorm room was thoughtfully set up, with an individual fan and mosquito net for each bed. The food was good, with plenty of options at the restaurant, and the staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Friendly staff especially the dive instructors. They have a restaurant and a common area where you can work comfortably if you work remotely. They have a house reef and is close to other diving spots. We did an open water course and visited 3 different diving spots in 3 days. Food is delicious.

The food isn't cheap and the place isn't close to any restaurants or karenderya so you just end up eating there

Super emplacement et pour un voyageur solo c est parfait pour faire du snorkling au pied du bungalow. La nourriture est excellente. On peut facilement trouver d'autre voyageur pour aller au port non loin de loin et partager les frais du bateau pour visiter Apo island... On peut louer un scooter et aller visiter la superbe cascade a 20 min de route. Merci.....

Séjour parfait! J'ai eu l'opportunité de passer mon Open Water dans des super conditions. Sans parler des spots de plongée magnifiques dont un juste en face du centre et même en snorkelling

J'ai adoré les petits bungalows type Robinson Crusoe avec le confort en plus , j'ai choisi 2 bungalows front de mer , un paradis que de s'endormir bercer par le doux bruit des vagues (environ 20m de la mer) :-) La restauration est absolument délicieuse. Le personnel est incroyablement gentil et serviable. Les salles de bains/WC sont partagés, mais extrêmement propres (il y a 5 bungalows pour 4 douches et 4 WC). Le club de plongée est sur place avec des moniteurs francophones. Vous pouvez aussi faire un snorkeling incroyable sur le récif "maison" qui est devant le resort. Il y règne un calme absolu et on ne croise quasiment personne... En résumé, j'ai tout ... adoré !!! et je compte y revenir très bientôt pour plus longtemps car beaucoup de visites à faire dans les environs ...

Loved staying here, collected at port by tuk tuk driver, staff were very friendly, start to finish. The dorm room was comfortable, with comfy beds. Excellent food. Did my advance diving certificate here. Professional and excellent sites.

La chambre deluxe est face au bar,donc le soir ne compter pas etre au calme. Le patron très effacé,si vous ne faites pas de plonger!!!il s interesse pas a ses clients. Séjour parfait au bord de l'eau et d'un récif coralien. Idéal pour un séjour plongée car diving resort. Centre de plongée sérieux. Personnel très sympa, francophone. Resto top, nous avons très bien manger.

Le lieu est très cosy, les lits en dortoir sont très confortables avec une prise et un ventilateur pour individuels. Un accès direct à la plage pour aller faire de la plongée et du snorkeling. Le personnel est super sympathique et la cuisine fait des merveilles du petit déjeuner au repas, tout est super bon ! Côté plongée, l'encadrement est tout simplement impeccable pour passer une certification ou bien faire des Fun Dives.

We spent the first days in the Philippines at La Tortue, and couldn’t imagine a better way to start. All staff were so welcoming, service was amazing and so attentive to your needs. We enjoyed all of our dives and guides were professional, helpful and fun! Especially the Apo trip was a highlight. Thanks for everything 🐢

Super séjour à la Tortue !!! On s’y sent comme à la maison ! Tout le personnel est super sympa, c’est propre, confortable, la nourriture est très bonne, et il y a un récif juste devant pour faire du snorkeling (avec très souvent des tortues !). Le centre de plongée est également très bien ! Matériel de qualité, et des Dive masters / instructeurs professionnels et à l’écoute ! Mention spéciale à Abi et Marie avec qui j’ai pu plonger ;) Je recommande +++ Bonus : il y a un terrain de pétanque !

Beautiful location in a quiet street off the main dauin centre. Staff were so kind, verry attentive dive masters always there to help arrange dives (Glen was a fab guide) and the chefs are very talented. We stayed one night in the ocean room and then 3 in the dorm as it was full over Christmas time. Both were great, beautiful traditional wood cabins. Everything was verry clean and organized.

Very welcoming and friendly staff and location straight on the beach for an easy access to the beautiful snorkeling spot. The cottages are very cute and the bed is comfortable. The staff is passionate about diving, we took a day trip to Apo Island and loved it.

Super friendly staff with experienced (French) diving teacher. The riffs and the diving/snorkeling is amazing here. I can definitely recommend to come to this place for diving but also to explore the surrounding. Dauin is not crowed at all and seems like a hidden gem.

位置和氣圍都很好，穿越住宿的幾個小木屋就是海邊，有大樹，樹上有吊床和鞦韆，可以看著Apo島放空，風吹來很舒服，即使是12月海的水溫也有25+度。離小鎮鬧區有點距離但不會太遠，騎機車2-3分鐘而已，園區禁止外食，園內餐點比其它同等級潛水渡假住宿稍高一些些，但食材新鮮，料理的方式也不會太油膩，所以值得。園區裡有可愛的阿貓阿狗，跟牠們互動很療癒。園區主人夫婦很好客，能感受到他們園區和潛水客的用心，很推薦給想來Dauin潛水的旅客！

住宿和環境幾乎無可挑剔，但園內冰拿鐵的咖啡味道有一點太淡。

Location, resort is small and beautiful

The resort is packed and the deluxe room is badly located: no sea view and surrounded by the diving shop, the restaurant and the classroom. Waken up by the activity in the morning. Bad value for the price. The owner is not flexible regarding special circumstances.

Nous avons passé un séjour de rêve à La Tortue. C'était très agréable de loger, manger et plonger au même endroit, on se sent choyés et dans une petite bulle. La gentillesse du personnel et des propriétaires, la douce compagnie des 2 chiens et des 3 chats ont largement contribué à se sentir immédiatement comme à la maison. Au niveau des équipements, j'ai apprécié la propreté de la salle de bain partagée et le bungalow en bambou avec la jolie plage à quelques mètres. L'excellente nourriture et les cocktails et boissons fraîches étaient très appréciables après les plongées. Le centre de plongée était très professionnel, les plongées sur le house reef juste devant étaient incroyablement relax et les plongées sur les autres sites, y compris Apo en excursion, étaient au top. Site préféré sur la côte: El Dorado, qui porte si bien son nom. Un merci tout spécial à Marie qui a été notre excellente guide sur les sites et mon instructrice pour le cours Nitrox. Merci pour ton professionnalisme et ton sourire ! Nous reviendrons, c'est certain !

Notre bungalow était assez petit, il était inévitable de laisser une partie de nos affaires sur la petite terrasse - mais elles ne craignent rien et on s'y fait. Par ailleurs, les nuits ne sont pas les plus réparatrices : s'il pleut cela tape fort sur le toit et quand la mer est agitée également, mais c'est inhérent au choix du logement et pour quelques jours franchement ce n'est pas un problème - tout le reste compense largement !

The native island vibe is unparallel.

It was quite a hassle that outside food wasn't allowed. I have several food allergies, and there was very few items on the menu I could eat, and none of them gave me the makro nutrients I need.

Wenn man nur tauchen will ist gut aber zum entspannen mit familie ist nix. Der strand ist für uns nicht schön und der garten ist nicht einladend....

The food was great, as were the clean bathroom facilities. It was also great staying at a working dive site, and being so close to the beautiful Dauin shore.

The kubo we were in was mixed sex even though this was not clear to me in advance. Two of the mosquito nets had holes in them. And the kubo sliding door was so difficult to open, due to it being over-due maintenance. On the positive side though, they repaired the first-reported net hole and the door the very next day. And they put us up in another room overnight, whilst ordering the repairs. The staff were very pleasant and efficient, and listened to complaints. Thank you.

El personal es increible. La cabaña es muy cómoda y limpia. Las vistas al mar son espectaculares. Te cuidan muchísimo y la excursión a Apo Island merece mucho la pena.

Very beautiful place right by the beach! The staff is very welcoming, friendly and try to help you with whatever you need. Snorkeling right in front of your door is incredible and I also enjoyed diving with my instructor. The hut with 4 beds, was equipped with towel, mosquito nets, lamps and fans for each bed. I really enjoyed my stay! Thank you for everything and see you next time :)

The location is just in front of the reef. A bit of walk from the center, but so worth it. The staff is kind and welcoming. The room was comfortable and welcome cookies so delicious. They have friendly cats and dogs in the venue- good to see some good treatment of animals whilst seeing so many abandoned animals in public places. Overall if you are not a light sleeper, I recomment 100%.

They have regulation to be silent after 21:00 whuch is great, but they should reinforce it more since around 22:00 there were still people around my room listenibg loudly to their phone videos or making calls.

The location is amazing, the showers and bathrooms even if shared are very clean, have soap and shampoo and are highly accessible. The staff is so sweet. But the best is definitely the peacefulness, only hearing the sound of waves crashing. The diving is amazing and so is the dive shop.

The bungalows/rooms are made only of Bamboo so if course you can hear the neighbours but it’s so quiet no one even makes much noise. The restaurant is alright, a bit on the expensive side for what it is, but gets the job done.

Essentially an upmarket backpackers with a really good vibe. Top class dive centre on site and a good restaurant with decent European & Filipino dishes. Accommodation is right on the beachfront and although the site is pretty small, it is comfortable. Clientele are mainly foreign, with plenty of locals using the facilities on weekends, always a good sign.

No ensuite rooms and diving is all shore based except for Apo island trips. However reef is only 100m offshore.

Incredibly cheap dorm for such a nice dive center. Equipment was in pristine condition. Food was delicious, albeit, a bit expensive if you travel on a budget.

No coffee/snacks offered in between dives. It would be nicer to have a complimentary one for 3 dives days.

I booked this stay based on previous reviews, and it was simply amazing. The food was fantastic. A very nice range of choices including some wonderful salads which are hard to find .For me, it was the small touches that stood out. Mosquito coils put out by the room every evening, cotton swabs in the bathroom area, the lovely cold bottles of water available on to take to your room and serving your food wherever you would like and lastly, many fluffy pillows! Hospitality was on point. I also did a few dives with them, and as a new diver, they were super helpful and patient . Would absolutely stay again.

I loved the staff and my experience for my certification of open water, Maura, the teacher was the best. The crowd is 90% French so just so you know! I met great people and food was good (you can find cheaper elsewhere but still very varied and fresh). 100% happy with my stay at La Tortue!

We stayed in the bubgalow in front of the showers so it can be a bit noisy. The bungalow was nice but we found it a bit small for two people, a little bedside lamp and some extra shelves would be a nice added value.

stay here for almost a week and it was a perfect place to base our selves while diving. the bungalow is bigger then it looks in the pictures and there is plenty of space to sit on in the balcony area. hearing the waves crash in front of the unit was so great every night. the grounds are immaculately kept by the staff that really go above and beyond to make it comfortable for you. they even were rustling the plants to get the mosquitos out and zap them with a bug zapper. next level. then there was our dive guy glenn. this man is a pro with a great sense of humor, always a funny or wise story to tell from his years of experience in the industry, and of course a master spotter of all the crazy weird creatures we came to dauin to see. he planned our days based on our wishlist and the weather conditions. even though it wasn't frog fish season we still saw many and got three different octopuses (not during octo season). 💜 really the whole crew here are the best, from the tricycle driver they use for transfers from the airport, to the crew in the kitchen cooking up delicious food, the drivers out to the dive sites, and even the night watchman, ivan. all of them are kind and willing to help making this place feel super welcoming and comfortable. it's no wonder people come back again and again.

No hot and cold water dispencer. When I want hot water, every time I have to ask at bar.

The staff is great, it has a little bar that serves basic food and it was all very good. The cocktails are also nice. Great place to go scuba diving.

The rooms are basic and have no ac. But the price is not excessive, they’re just simple bungalows.

The staff showed us family like hospitality and helped us with every aspect of our stay. The dive instructors were proffesional and showed us thing we never thought we would see. Must go to if you're a diving traveller. The area is lovely and very peaceful.

Bring a mosquito repellent and you'll be golden.

La Tortue is a very small divecentre/resort right on the beach at Dauin, facing out to Apo Island and sun rise over Siguijor. For such a small place, it seems to have an abundance of staff, eager to look after you and make you feel at home. This relaxed and friendly atmosphere comes from the top - from Nicholas and Marielle, who it's impossible not to get to know during your stay and not to like. This extends into their dive operations, lending a calm and supportive atmosphere to all the diving I did at La Tortue. And that was superb. Thank you to all there for making my stay so special.

As an older person who likes to have a drink in the evening, I didn't really enjoy having to get up in the night to walk to the shared toilet facilities. But I could have remedied that by not drinking so much beer. It’s just a small gripe.

Amazing diving resort! Glenn, the dive master, is extremely professional, funny and knowledgeable: it's been a pleasure diving with him for a week! The resort is nice, common areas and bathrooms are very clean, food is great. Management is cordial and accomodating.

The dorm has four beds and each bed has a fan, and a locker with lock. Bathroom and showers are shared by all guests, and there is a bar/ restaurant that offers vegan options and amazing drinks. Excellent service and food. Relaxed, non party vibes, hammocks private beach with world class snorkeling just 10 meters to the waves.
