À côté de la piscine, il y avait un chantier de construction, difficile de relaxer. Début des travaux 8heures le matin avec le marteau et la scie… J’ai confirmé avec la réception que c’était jusqu’en octobre 2026… pas de chance! Pour dormir le matin c’est difficile à 7h il y a la musique qui commence à la réception. Et finalement j’ai essayé de dormir avec mes écouteurs dans ma chambre un après-midi et tout d’un coup ça cogne à plusieurs reprises je me réveille j’étais tout nu dans mon lit et quelqu’un rentrait… soit-disant qu’elle voulait passer le balai. Je lui ai répondu que je n’avais pas mis le signe de faire le ménage dans ma chambre…. Déception totale de cet endroit… Je me suis assis une fois au bar, j’ai pris le menu, j’ai attendu jamais personne m’a servir…. J’ai marché quelques minutes pour aller manger au Lamiah restaurant, 109 pesos pour ce repas, poisson, riz, 2 œufs, café (photo) …super bon Un matin je m’informe à la réception si je peux payer avec ma carte de crédit car je n’ai plus beaucoup d’argent, elle me répond que oui. Dans la journée, je me commande un café et quand je sors ma carte de crédit, elle me dit que tu dois acheter un minimum 1000 pesos et qu’il y aura des frais( que je savais) de 5 % de plus sur la carte…. j’ai remercié & suis partie mentionnant qu’on ne m’avait jamais dit ce détail.

The best place we stayed yet. We did the open water certification with Luna and it was amazing. All the people are super nice and super convenient. The room was spacious, the pool is perfect to learn diving.

Fijn dat er single rooms waren. De buitenbadkamer was mooi en goed onderhouden, het heeft een groot zwembad en een fijn restaurant.

De geir van één van de honden hing in mijn kamer. Dit vond ik zelf minder aangenaam.

Great staff, good diving there. A lot of nice people stay there. Every night was something special. And each bear is just 100php. WiFi is really good, I was able to work or watch something everywhere

In dormitory it was pretty hot, no free AC there, but there are some fans, so it was ok at night.

Das Bongo Bongo Divers war einfach super. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem grossen Zimmer und dem bequemen Bett. Wir haben super darin geschlafen. Das im Hotel geführte Café hat eine grosse Auswahl an Getränken und Essen. Es schmeckte immer lecker und wurde schnell serviert. Die Tauchschule ist bestens organisiert. Man hat die Möglichkeit vier mal am Tag tauchen zu gehen und auch einen Tagesausflug zur Apo Insel (3 Dives) zu machen. Die Tauchinstruktoren gingen wunderbar auf uns und unsere Bedürfnisse ein. Durch sie haben wir tolle Dives erlebt und haben Freude am "Muck Diving" bekommen. In Gehdistanz findet man eine handvoll tolle Restaurants. Wer zB nach Dumaguete möchte, kann im Hotel einen Roller mieten.

Leider haben sie kein Kartenlesegerät. Die Bezahlung konnte aber mit Revolut / Wise getätigt werden.

There's this nagging feeling of being treated differently for not being a foreign guest. I tried to rent a gopro on my last day, already ordered breakfast and was swimming in the pool only to be approached and to be told that they dont rent gopros for outside guests. Mind you, I have been staying there for four days and that was my 4TH DAY, AND I was swimming in the pool moments before being approached. Very very weird. And one night, I was checking the dive shop and as I walked closer to the dive watches, one staff hurriedly approached me asking if I needed something even scaring me because she just suddenly appeared next to me when she was just sitting at one of the chairs while I was looking at the other stuff. In a hindsight she gave a very worried and untrustful look with a nervous laugh, why was there no urgency minutes before and there was a sudden jump to approach me at that time?

De sfeer was goed, heel gemoedelijk. Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding uitstekend. De nieuwe aircon kamers waren ruim en zeer comfortabel. In het zwembad werden duiklessen gegeven maar het was ook mogelijk om gewoon te zqemmen. Mooie tuin

Er waren geen badhanddoeken of kleine handdoeken om je handen mee af te drogen. Verder alles prima in orde

J’ai tout aimé, c’est un endroit incroyablement chaleureux, propice aux rencontres de tous horizons, en bord de mer tout en étant dans le centre. Idéal pour les plongeurs mais également d’un rapport qualité prix imbattable. J’ai autant aimé la superbe piscine, que l’excellent petit déjeuner ou la sortie, en snorkeling pour moi, sur Apo Island. La bonne humeur et gentillesse du personnel n’a fait que confirmer mon ressenti sur ce superbe endroit.

Perfect place to stay at and dive with. Staying at bongo bongo made it so easy, even just for one day of diving. The faculties are all top notch and everyone is so nice. No complaints

Everything was great, I was only supposed to stay 3 days but I ended up getting stuck and staying 2 weeks. The diving here is great too, they have a great all around team and welcoming staff. Hopefully I’ll be back!

Room,i spoke with owner about it. My room had no hook,no bedside table,no where to put my clothes for 4 nights,bed was very low to the floor and stairs rickety.. Owner explained they will "finish soon" but mean time i had to have all my dive gear and clothes on the floor! BTW Lovely owners and very responsive to my feedback face to face

Larm fra byggearbejde inde ved siden af startede meget tidligt om morgenen

Perfekt ophold som dykker. Behageligt poolområde, stedet har fået gang i en restaurant, som laver dejlig mad og drikke. Især deres coconut latte er værd at prøve! Mange diversites at tage til, og kan stærkt anbefale at tage med på en tur til Apo Island, som indebærer 3 dyk.

Im (Doppel)Zimmer hätte bissl eine Ablage sein können. Vor allem wenn man länger bleibt sonst etwas nervig.

Das Zimmer war makellos sauber, modern eingerichtet und groß. Das Bad ebenso perfekt sauber, warmes Wasser war nie ein Problem, Klimaanlage leise und effektiv. Das gesamte Personal, von Tauchguides über Service und Rezeption, immer super freundlich und herzlich. Das Essen ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten einen wirklich grandiosen Aufenthalt und haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wenn ich nach Kleinigkeiten suche, dann: WiFi auf dem Zimmer ab und zu hakelig, die Kopfteilbeleuchtung des Bettes "glüht" nach bzw. lässt sich nicht zu 100% ausschalten, was für uns absolut kein Problem war.

Really great and cozy place! The value for money was excellent and the staff was very friendly. They serve breakfast, snacks and lunch on site and offer multiple dives per day - everything was absolutely brilliant!

I stayed in a new room with private bathroom, upstairs. Comfortable bed, split air conditioner, roller blind, great shower, shampoo, body soap. Tiny but cozy. And cheap. The pool is beautiful at night. I read it is a good dive center, you can do shore dives and Apo Island trip with good prices. I did with Liquid because they haven't the trip available the day I wanted. You can have breakfast (granola with yogurt and fruits was great 300PHP) and lunch at Bongo Bongo. It's near a great restaurant for dinner called Jardim. If you need a tricycle call Lito 63 905 649 7281. From Dauin to Dumaguete ferry 600PHP.

Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist das komplette Personal: vom Reinigungspersonal bis zum Course Director und Management sind wirklich alle unglaublich freundlich und herzlich. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an total wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Der Service war durchgehend top und sehr aufmerksam. Die Anlage selbst hat uns auch überzeugt: Der Pool ist super schön, das Essen war sehr lecker, und auch wenn die Zimmer eher klein sind, sind sie modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Ein absolutes Highlight war natürlich auch die Tauchschule: professionell organisiert, tolle Betreuung und einfach ein richtig gutes Gefühl unter Wasser wie auch an Land.

Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Essen gibt es nur bis zum frühen Nachmittag, und Dauin ist insgesamt ein eher ruhiger, verschlafener Ort mit wenig Auswahl an Restaurants. Das fällt aber wirklich kaum ins Gewicht, da alles andere einfach großartig war. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Es hat uns wirklich richtig gut gefallen!

It gets hot in the room, so a silent and closer ventilator might be a good idea. Also, I could not find a good wetsuit my size - some had holes in them.

The location is great. The accommodation (apart from the old dorms and their bathroom) is very beautiful. The food is good.

They let me down on my diving request. When booking the accommodation two days before arriving, I requested the Apo Island diving trip on my only possible day there. They said "it's too early to book that trip". I got no more replies to my messages the next day. On the day of my arrival they told me that the trip is now fully booked...

The attentive staff, the professional DM team, the overall landscaping and vibe of this place! Their dive packages are indeed best value for every penny. The corn beef rice is must ordered!

The room was subdued, but very stylish. I really liked how it looked.

I didn't like walking into the reception area and see that the eating area was with people smoking. I was told that I could eat over at another area and the cigarette smokers usually didn't go there. Usually... i had one of the higher end private rooms, and it's a little disappointing that there was no area to sit with the room. The ground floor rooms had an area for each room.But the second floor did not. At check in I was to let the showers run for 5 minutes before they got warm.And that was to be taken literally and then the water pressure was pretty low. Essentially, what you're having here is taking a mid range room and putting it into a budget resort. And I just didn't think the grounds or the setting was worthy of what I paid for the room.

The diving schedule is very convenient, customer service was extraordinary and the dive school itself makes a clean and well organised impression Staff has been amazing, very friendly and service was fast The food options are various and the food itself is very good There is a feidge from which you can take drinks at any time which makes it even more convenient The rooms are clean and spacious enough Outside area with the pool was very nice Warm water in the shower, water pressure was very good Option to rent a scooter

Matress was a bit hard for me, but that's a thing in Asia in general A light switch close to the bed for the bungalows with the upper beds would be very helpful Our bathroom sink was a bit small A sort of storage area for luggage would have been nice, there is a chair in the room, a concrete shelf would be more helpful Food only until 2:30 pm which was sometimes a bit inconvenient, unfortunately Dauin doesn't have too many options regarding food, especially after the Day trips it would have been nice to just have a snack in the evening All in all just very minor things which didn't affect our very positive impression at all.

As an enthuisiastic diver, Bongo Bongo runs an excellent, well equipped dive shop with lovely guides. I booked a private room, which was very spacious, spotlessly clean and modern. Hotel staff were wonderful. Breakfast was a-la-carte but the quality was great. Location close to the beach was lovely. Note though, Dauin is a sleepy town and not too many tourists, so a great place to come for a quiet stay, relax and unwind (which is exactly what I wanted, and loved it) but be aware that amenities outside the hotel are thus sparse and although lovely is not a "beach" destination as such (as of 2026).

Pas d'eau chaude dans la chambre, mais on peut toujours utiliser celles des dortoirs plus belles et avec eau chaude. Le personnel est sympathique dans l'ensemble quoique l'accueil pourrait être amélioré.

Nu har jeg dykket med Bongo Bongo Divers sidste år og så i år igen .Jeg overnattende der i 8 dage denne gang.Det er bare perfekt ,deres udstyr -båden og så selve dykkercenteret. Herligt personale . Vi ses næste år igen 😉😉

Die Anlage des Tauchcenters ist wirklich super schön! Alles sehr gepflegt und sauber! Das Tauchangebot sowie die Tauchguides sind spitze, alle super nett und motiviert! Die Lage ist top, lediglich 20 Meter vom Strand entfernt. Das Personal hilft wo es nur kann und organisiert sogar das Waschen der Wäsche sowie die Vermietung von Rollern direkt von der Unterkunft aus. Man braucht lediglich seine Wäsche zur Rezeption bringen und innerhalb von wenigen Stunden liegt diese frisch gewaschen und ordentlich zusammengelegt wieder an der Rezeption. Der Roller wird einem direkt in die Unterkunft gebracht.

Ich hatte ein Single Zimmer mit Ventilator. Grundsätzlich war es nicht verkehrt, jedoch sehr stickig. Ohne Ventilator definitiv nicht auszuhalten. Für die Nacht braucht man unbedingt Ohrenstöpsel, da die ganze Hütte sehr hellhörig ist und der Ventilator ziemlich stark brummt. Auch hört man die umliegenden Ventilatoren, sowie Klimaanlagen. Ab ein Uhr morgens krähen dann die Hähne im Nachbargarten im Sekundentakt. Deshalb unbedingt Ohrenstöpsel! Die Gegend ist sehr moskitoreich, deshalb unbedingt an das Mückenspray denken!

die Matratze war sehr gemütlich und das Badezimmer war sauber. Der aussenbereich ist auch sehr einladend

Man musste für die AC extra zahlen und mein Zimmer war im Dachgeschoss also extrem heiß

Zeer goedkope en propere kamers, ik verbleef in de single hut 3 met ventilator. Ruim genoeg plaats voor 1p en valies. Badkamers werden regelmatig proper gehouden. Veel restaurants dichtbij. Je kan ook afhaal bestellen van het hotel uit

De goed georganiseerde duik trips en de vriendelijke behulpzame mensen en de relaxte sfeer. En een gezellig relaxte tuin met sfeervol zwembad.

Hutje was erg klein, ietsepietsie meer ruimte met iemand van bijna 2 meter erbij zou net even beter zijn. Alles was net gerenoveerd maar stank afsluiters waren niet super. Ze hebben wel hun uiterste best gedaan dit te behelpen dus…he Eten was via bezorg systeem, is altijd iets minder. Er zat een restaurant schuin tegenover en een klein winkelcentrum in de buurt met een paar eettentjes maar helaas te laat ontdekt.

位置很好，雖然不是直接在海灘旁邊，但也離不遠，而且有泳池。環境維持地很寬敞乾淨，氛圍也很好，各國旅客都有。咖啡夠濃很好喝。

這次住的是四人共享的宿舍，可能是還在擴建整修的關係，晚上上樓時因為沒有燈光，走螺旋樓梯和上上下下的台階要非常小心，建議要注意這個安全問題，拉一條LED條燈，也可以成為裝飾的一部分。另外，露天的共享浴廁是很棒，晚上還可以看星星，但可能還是要考慮到使用者的隱私，稍微進行部分遮蔽，畢竟二樓的房客（即便是無意）是看得到浴廁內的（附圖一）

Diving operations at the best! They schedule 4-5 dives daily in small groups and very experienced guides. You will have enough time to spot nudis ad other tiny critters and take your pictures. Special thanks to Tito and the managment team!

The staff at Bongo Bongo is absolutely amazing. Everyone is super kind and the dive masters (specifically Jong) are amazing and such great spotters for macro during dives. They really take the time to ensure you have amazing dives. There is no restaurant for food on site, but there are various menus of restaurants where the staff will order for you and on Mondays you can sign up for communal diner. I stayed at one of the new rooms and the room was super comfortable as well.

Le staff est super et l’établissement est encore en train de s’améliorer sur l’infrastructure.. L’ambiance est super chaleureuse et friendly, les instructeurs sont géniaux (les plongées hyper accessibles financièrement)… bref c’était un super séjour !

Un Dive resort superbe, hautement recommandé. J'y ai passé un séjour formidable.

The location is in close proximity to the beach and nearby eateries.

The mosquitoes in the dive prep area at dusk/evening were a nuisance. Not the resorts fault mozzies like standing water.

Diving operation was well set-up and the dive staff and dive team ensured you were well looked after. The new rooms are really nice shame about the ongoing construction activities outside.

The Bongo Bongo Resort is currently undergoing large scale renovations, with construction taking place throughout the day. I stayed in one of the newly built rooms and experienced ongoing construction directly outside from around 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Although I had booked four nights, I checked out a day early because of the noise. I’d strongly suggest that the Bongo Bongo team update their website and Booking.com listing to inform guests about the ongoing renovation work so expectations are clear before booking. All of the diving apart from the Apo trip is from the shore. Some conditions are sandy some large stones with some beach walking.

Sobre todo los buceos

Les chambres propres sont situées à 3 minutes de la plage dans un quartier paisible. Nous avons très apprécié le jardin et la piscine. Le centre est également accessible à pied. Le snorkeling au départ de la plage est incroyable. Le staff de plongée nous a gentiment prêté masque et tuba. Nous avons également booké une plongée sur l’île d’Apo…. Magnifique!
