Everyone was really friendly, hostel is lovely and cosy. Loads of spots to hang out

Noise on the street outside could be loud at night depending on your room location. Mine was ground floor on the street.

A friendly hostel that's in a great location in Lagos' old town. Tiago who welcomed us warmly was helpful and showed us around. The kitchen was well equipped and a good space to socialise. The bathrooms were clean.

Our room was very hot and as it was right next to the street we couldn't have the window open to sleep as it was too noisy. We did have a fan which was good and found a hack of pointing it at the wall so the room cooled but we didn't have it pointing right at us and waking us up. A ceiling fan might be an idea? Definitely bring ear plugs and an eye mask! We were disappointed to learn that the chef was on a break (having had a busy summer) so the option of his famous meals and old town tours wasn't on offer.

Everything as a lone traveller you are made to feel so welcome. I was in a mix of dorm and private rooms in my stay and lived all of it . Great showers and lovely rooftop with yoga sessions in morning wonderful teacher Best of all is the staff so friendly thanks Ana, Tiago , Melanie, Gustavo and all the team at Olive so kind

etwas teurer aber das Hostel war such sehr in demand weil super schön. Türen etwas alt (schwer zu öffnen und schließen) und Straße etwas laut.

Wifi didn’t reach the room, curtain was a sheer rather than a curtain and was set back 20cm from the window so light poured in and the room was next to the street so was both bright with light and noisy. It was too hot in the room but the room wasn’t advertised with air conditioning so that was what it was but contributed to the discomfort and exposure to light and noise. Second staff member made an attempt to help with keys but when he couldn’t figure it out gave up and didn’t bother make any further efforts.

O hostel tem vários cantinhos aconchegantes que podemos ficar. Não consegui aproveitar suficiente porque fiquei uma noite apenas e estive mais na praia,mas em outra oportunidade quero voltar. Localização excelente. Amei

J'ai séjourné dans cet hostel pendant une semaine, et le plus compliqué a été de devoir partir. Localisation top top ! Le personnel est super sympa, on se sent à la maison dans cet hostel. Tout est très propre, très agréable. J'ai rencontré des personnes incroyable, la vibes était vraiment bonne ! Je recommande et je reviendrais sans hésiter !

Un hostel que se sintió como casa desde el primer día. La cocina fue nuestro lugar de encuentro durante 5 días. El personal super buena onda y todo lo que nos pasó y vivimos fue mágico así que claro que volvería. Todo queda cerca y todo es hermoso.

Faltaría algún aire acondicionado o mas ventiladores en las habitaciones, el resto todo impecable.

Die Lage war perfekt. Ich konnte überall zu Fuß hinkommen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr hilfsbereit und sehr angenehmes Gästepublikum.

Bardzo miła obsługa oraz czysta przestrzeń. Duża ilość toalet oraz pryszniców, więc wspólna łazienka nie stanowiła żadnego problemu.

Bardzo głośna lokalizacja. Do godziny 4 słychać było bardzo głośne krzyki oraz głośną muzykę. Niestety zasnąć dało się od 4. Mieliśmy pokój centralnie przy ulicy, więc być może w pozostałych nie jest to problem:)

Amazing location, lovely building, and very friendly, helpful staff. I stayed with my partner in one of the private rooms; these were located in a separate building, which gave us more privacy. The option for a more social vibe is still there, though. :)

The friendliest staff! And the onsite chef was a sweetheart and I’m glad he talked me into joining the dinner. Geisler made us a delicious meal and then took us out on a mini pub crawl after. Very fun guy and would highly recommend joining this experience. The beds were equipped with curtains which is always appreciated when you’re sharing a room with others. There’s several places you can chill outside of your room which is always great for relaxing and meeting new people. A rooftop, an indoor hangout space and another outdoor area, for whatever your vibe is! Of the two hostels I stayed in during my time in Lagos, this one was the best no doubt!

One bathroom shared among all the rooms on the floor so can be a challenge to use the bathroom or get ready for the day while everyone else is doing the same but didn’t slow me down much

Die Gastgeberin ist super freundlich, das Hostel ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat einladende Geneinschaftsräume. Sie veranstalten auch Social Dinner, wodurch man schnell mit vielen ins Gespräch kommt.

Durch die Lage des Hostels und auch die Zimmer zum Innenhof können durch Partygäste auch laut sein.

Das gemeinsame Abendessen mit Gaisle war sensationell. Sehr lecker und super geeignet, um mit anderen im Hostel ins Gespräch zu kommen.

Tivemos uma experiência maravilhosa. A equipe foi muito querida, atenciosa e sempre disposta a ajudar no que fosse necessário. O quarto e a casa tinham tudo o que precisávamos, além de vários pequenos mimos que fizeram toda a diferença. Realmente nos sentimos em casa, mesmo estando longe de casa. Tudo é muito bem pensado e funcional, o que tornou a estadia muito confortável. A localização é mais que perfeita, facilitando muito a nossa experiência na cidade. Mesmo com o calor, o ventilador deu conta muito bem e conseguimos ficar confortáveis. Com certeza, vale muito a experiência e recomendamos! 💛

Olive hostel je veľmi dobre prispôsobený na spoznávanie ľudí, páčili sa mi spoločné priestory - záhrada, kuchyňa, rooftop - sú to skvelé miesta na zoznámenie sa, trávenie času, vymýšľanie spoločných plánov. Páčila sa mi lokalita - všetko je pomerne blízko. Pred check-inom a po check-oute je možné nechať si veci v jednej miestnosti, čo je veľká výhoda ak má človek čas navyše.

Izby sa nezamykajú, avšak celý čas som mala pocit, že veci na izbe sú v bezpečí.

Fantastic hostel for solo travelers. Very clean, lovely team, great rooftop. Dinner with a chef everyday on weekdays where you can meet other guests. Great location.

Location is good, WiFi works great, the beds have curtains for privacy, and a fan! Which is really important haha There is a kitchen, a nice vibe in the hostel to socialize even though I thought it will be a bit more but was still nice

1 solo bagno per 3 stanze e cucina molto piccola e poco attrezzata. Molto rumoroso di notte

L’endroit est chaleureux. Le rooftop est très agréable. La localisation permet d’être en plein cœur de Lagos.

La chambre avec lit double dans le bâtiment juste à côté de la maison était petite, étouffante (très chaud et odeur d’humidité permanente) et très mal isolée : nous avons peu dormi, la chambre se situe côté rue avec un bar en bas de la rue et donc des va-et-vient incessants des touristes qui font la fête. Les autres clients ne sont pas respectueux des lieux : laissent traîner des affaires dans la salle de bain ou la cuisine commune, ni de la tranquillité des autres : claquent les portes quand ils rentrent au milieu de la nuit (nous avons retrouvé une touriste allongée à même le sol au milieu des parties communes le matin). Les parties communes sont nettoyées chaque jours, mais la salle de bain conserve une très mauvaise odeur. Pour résumé : il s’agit d’un endroit pour y loger pour faire la fête et vivre de nuit, pas pour se reposer et avoir du confort.

It's located on a loud street, I was woken by loud banging from truck drivers outside each morning. Rooms get quite hot at night in summer.

La struttura oltre ad essere in un'ottima posizione, avere buoni servizi come letti comodi, possibilità di fare il bucato e utilizzare la cucina atrezzata ha un "quid" in più: personale accogliente e disponibile, diversi spazi comuni puliti, arredati e curati non in modo standardizzato. Uno dei migliori hostal che ho provato!

Absolutely loved this hostel, I wish I could have stayed for longer! Tasteful/ artsy decor, clean rooms, cute garden/ hangout area & loved the rooftop terrace! Delicious dinner offered each night at the hostel, as well as yoga in the morning on the rooftop!

es hat sich sehr familiär angefühlt hab mich super wohl gefühlt obwohl ich nur eine Nacht da war. Man kommt sofort ins Gespräch mit den Leuten. Der Koch hat mich sogar nach meinen Aufenthalt eingeladen am nächsten Abend zum Familydinner zu kommen war super lecker.

Staff muito atenciosa, tiramos varias dúvidas e ela nos deu varias dicas do que fazer e como fazer na cidade. Muito simpatica, a localização é boa, da para ir a todos os lugares da cidade a pé.

O quarto é bem pequeno e muito quente, o ventilador é extremamente barulhento e não vence o calor que fica na cidade.

Everything about this hostel is great. I loved that they had beach umbrellas for you to take. You really need them, especially if you go to Meia Praia.

È la seconda volta che ci ritorno ed è stata sempre un’esperienza molto bella. L’ostello è adorabile, con un arredamento molto particolare che lo rende unico e fa sentire subito a proprio agio. Si respira un clima incredibile di convivialità e accoglienza: gli spazi comuni sono eccezionali, dalla bellissima terrazza sul tetto alla cucina, fino agli ambienti al piano terra dove nascono conoscenze e chiacchiere spontanee con gli altri ospiti. Il personale è super accogliente e ti fa sentire subito a casa. La consiglio assolutamente!

Simplesmente perfeito! Um dos melhores hostels que fiquei na vida. Ambiente acolhedor, limpo, confortável, uma mistura de casa da vó com airbnb dos amigos. Você imediatamente se sente em casa.

Buenísima ubicación y ambiente muy tranquilo, a pesar de estar en el corazón del centro histórico casi no llega el ruido de la gente y de la calle.

Mi reserva decia habitación de 2 camas y me dieron una para 3 personas.

Very good location, friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and facilities were good.

My room wasn’t really clean upon arrival. I saw quite some hairs, after which the staff immediately came to clean it. However, when I wanted to go to bed, I also noticed hairs in the bed and a make up stain on the pillow. I didn’t feel comfortable, so I went to reception, they helped me change the sheets. I don’t think this is a regular occurrence, though. But it was a bit of a pity.

The hostel is great! Located in the city center. Walking distance from restaurants, the port and the beach. Staff was super nice, attentive and friendly. They where super helpful. The beds and facilities where very nice. They had lockers, a mini fan, light on every bed, beds where super nice and comfy. They have a beautiful terrace and patio. And every day there is a super nice chef that would cook for everyone at the hostel and it helped to really connect people. As a solo traveler i found it super nice to connect with people.

Het team dat er werkt, van de ontvangst, de chef, tot aan de schoonmaakster. Ze laten je allemaal meteen thuisvoelen. Speciale dank aan Anna, ze had alvast mijn spullen naar de volgende kamer gebracht, ik kreeg de grootste, fijnste handdoek ever en ze was erg zorgzaam toen ik mijn voet had bezeerd. Het is een erg knus hostel, ik hou van de kleine details, de patio en het dakterras zijn heerlijk en de chef kookt fantastische maaltijden. De locatie kan niet beter, recht in het centrum van het gezellige Lagos. Het plankje, lampje en ventilator bij je bed zijn erg fijn. Als ik weer in Lagos ben, kom ik met alle liefde weer terug bij dit hostel.

They gave me the wrong bed so when I came back someone was sleeping in it and then at 1am, the staff opened the light to show a guess the room for a good 5 minutes

Very friendly staff who are always available for questions, people in the hostel were also very nice. It's very easy to strike up conversation and ask someone if they have dinner plans or want to go out. Many solo Travellers. Lagos itself is very Tourist based but has very charming streets and shops. You can go for a relaxing walk at the boulevard that is a 5 min walk. At the Marina harbor you can also book activities like boat and kayaking trips. Would really recommend!

Tem muito a melhorar, de limpeza a instalações Não há banheiros suficientes para a quantidade de pessoas que o andar abriga. São 18 camas pra 4 banheiros, sendo apenas 2 privativos, surreal. Além disso a trava da ducha não funciona, não tem onde colocar suas coisas sem molhar tudo nos banheiros q não são provativos.Não dá pra desejar "bom banho", tem que desejar "boa sorte". A luz individual da minha cama não funcionava e nunca foi trocada. Não há ar condicionado. Existe apenas um locker distante dos quartos para guardar pertences de valor e que cabe uma mochila pequena. Um hostel em uma cidade praiana que não tem local suficiente para pendurar roupas molhadas, o que deixa até o hostel em si fedido. O quarto do primeiro andar é literalmente na calçada. Todos que passam vêm o que está acontecendo e fica barulho e fluxo de pessoas o dia/noite inteira. Não vale o custo benefício, pague outro local pela sua paz. Fiquei em uma cama que não encostava na parede, então não adiantava ter a cortina de privacidade, todos viam minha cama, inclusive pessoas da rua, já que era ao lado da rua.

Best Hostel in Portugal

Too loud to sleep, no ventilation in the room as had to have the window closed and room was very hot

Ho alloggiato per 4 notti! Diciamo che io a Lagos non sono andata per fare della baldoria. L’ostello era dotato di diversi bagni ma solo due docce. Forse poche. Parlo del mio piano. Solo la nostra camerata era da 8. Lo staf disponibile ma forse poco presente. Certe situazioni in ostello andrebbero evitate. Solitamente ci sono delle regole…. Qui le regole dalle 22:30 di notte le dimentichiamo. A parte questo, in struttura non mancava nulla! C’è anche la possibilità di un terrazzo dove rilassarsi e dove fanno lezioni di yoga alla mattina.

Confusione notturna! Non si ha rispetto dell’ospite. Una mattina ho trovato un bagno non funzionate e una mattina la doccia. Ma la cosa più fastidiosa è il resto: la confusione. Capisco i giovani che vanno lì per “divertirsi” ma le regole di una comunità vanno rispettate.

super auberge de jeunesse très bien placée dans Lagos, à 10 minutes de la plage ! les chambres et parties communes sont très mignonnes et également bien équipées et très propres grâce à un personnel attentif. plusieurs évènements y sont organisés et il est facile d'y faire de belles rencontres !

il n'y a pas de climatisation et il peut faire un peu chaud en été dans les chambres même si en laissant les fenêtres ouvertes c'est largement respirable ! certains dortoirs ne sont pas des lits superposés avec rideaux comme on pourrait le penser sur les photos, ce sont des lits simples mais ceux-ci sont très confortables donc un bon trade-off finalement

Everything was very clean and tidy. The facilities were complete and were as advertised. There was a garden and a rooftop as places to chill, and the kitchen was complete too. There were many clean toilets and washrooms as well. The receptionists were really friendly and helpful too.

Staff molto accogliente, gentile e simpatico! Cortile interno e terrazza bellissimi: due spazi favolosi! Attività proposte dai gestori! Pulizia!

Le camere e i servizi principali (bagno e cucina) poco spaziosi e datati. Poco insonorizzato: molto rumore fino a tarda notte! Ostello adatto a chi vuole vivere la serata fino a tardi e conoscere gente. Non lo consiglio per chi viene da un cammino (fisherman) e ha bisogno di riposare!

J ai beaucoup apprecié l accueil de Melanie! La propreté et tout le confort . La terrasse aussi est un plus! La rue est un peu bruyante l ete avec les jeunes qui sortent dans les bars mais l etablissement n y peut rien !

Clean , only 3 beds in the room I was in. Can cook there if you want. They had women’s santry towels in the toilet. Smelled nice like incense in the hostel. The key had a huge keyring on it so you couldn’t loose it. I felt safe.

I hated the noise outside, it was so frustrating trying to sleep. Gangs of people would come from the bars late in the night and make noise outside for hours, there is no escaping the noise you just need to wait for it to stop so you can sleep

Had a wonderful time in this hostel, it was so cozy, so beautiful, with multiple places where other guests could enjoy together, the location was amazing, in central Lagos, lots of attractions were close to the property, staff was so welcoming and everything was perfect about this stay. Would absolutely come back.

La décoration, l'emplacement, l'équipement, l'accueil !!! Et je me suis senti chez moi pendant 1 semaine.. c'est extrêmement rare d'être si bien dans un hostel, cela a été la plus belle expérience des hostels de toute ma vie. Et je reviendrai les yeux fermés et merci vraiment.
