Prabash was the best host! We were warmly welcomed the second we arrived and that warm feeling stayed during our stay. Prabash gave us tips for restaurants and activities which helped a lot. The design of the hostel is so creative and cool, we loved everything about this place!!

Everything. One of the best hosts. I have stayed in a couple of hostels over Srilanka and this was hands down the best. Felt at home.

Das Hostel selbst sieht toll aus.. über einen Tigerkopf kommt man ins Hostel. Hostel ist günstig. Ich hätte ein schönes Zimmer bekommen, wenn der Gastgeber nicht so unfreundlich und so negativ mir gegenüber gewesen wäre. Ich hatte meine Sachen schon im Zimmer. Aber der Gastgeber hat einfach nicht aufgehört mich verbal anzugreifen, was mich sehr traurig machte. Ich habe mich sehr unwohl und unsicher gefühlt. War auch der einzige einzige Gast. Deshalb habe ich das Hostel nach ca. 15 Min fluchtartig verlassen.

Gastgeber war sehr gereizt, und unfreundlich, sehr genervt und leicht aggressiv. Er hat allgemeine Fragen sehr kritisch persönlich genommen. Allein Fragen ob man das Zimmer abschließen kann, war für ihn sehr negativ. Ich vermute das er zuviel Alkohol indus hatte, vielleicht auch mehr. Mein Wunsch: Er soll an sich arbeiten und seine Gäste nett und freundlich entgegentreten. Die Eltern haben sich für ihn entschuldigt

Magnifique hostel, maison d'artiste à decouvrir ! (Chambre double) Le gérant est d'une grande gentillesse, bienveillant, disponible, de bons conseils... Le petit déjeuner est copieux et délicieux. Espaces communs conviviaux. Rapport qualité prix imbattable ! J'y retournerai avec plaisir.

Ich war alleine als Frau unterwegs und habe mich hier direkt willkommen gefühlt. Himesh und seine Freunde sind sehr zuvorkommend und helfen einem bei allem. Ich wurde überall hingefahren, zum Strand, zu Ausflügen und ein super leckeres Frühstück, das alles ging deutlich über die normale Gastfreundschaft hinaus. Ich kann es jedem empfehlen hier zu übernachten, da man sich einfach nur rund um wohl fühlt :)

Great staff. Hamish and Prabesh two brothers were so very friendly and helpful. Raja the father also runs the clothes factory with his wife, also such a nice guy. Highly recommended.

Location is ok but you need a motorbike. Rp2500 per day. Hamish can also organise tours, he is a tour guide.

We booked the place for one night because we thought it looked special... and it was! From the Tiger-Gate to the rooftop-terrace, it is a sight to see. We originally booked 2 separate rooms because there were no others available on booking, but we got a room for 2 in the first floor. The room was great! Big main room, a small balkony, shower and toilet outdoors, palm trees growing through the floor and ceiling and to top it off: a huge swinging bed, anchord in the ceiling in an artistic and sturdy way. The bed is huge, but the matrass is quite hard. We slept really well, but for some people it might be too hard. On the rooftop terrace you had a great view over the jungle. We spent hours up there, watching parrots, eagles, friut bats and many other animals. In the shared kitchen, you look directly into the mangroves. We even got visited by a bunch of monkeys there. Breakfast is nice, the host organised a lagoon tour for us for a very fair price. He even took us there in an oldtimer jeep. If you need to go anywhere like the beach, the host will just drop you there so you dont need to order a tuktuk. Vibe is great, but we were there in early off-season so there werent too many guests. I think in the main season you can party here all night long. We surely plan to come again.

It's a nice and chill place. Perfect for hippies and solo bagpackers. A unique blend of nature and good people. Both hemesh and his brother are amazing hosts.

Himesh, Prabash and their friends are very, very kind and helpful. The location is cozy and surrounded with nature.

Such a cool accomodation with lovely people. Spirit of ´68 - so be prepared for peace, love and party. Good breakfast in the morning and you can easily go to Bentota beach by bike or to a boat safari, organized by the host.

Awesome experience. Owner Hemish and his family are so kind. I felt very well looked after here. The mother is an excellent cook. Massive delicious breakfast included and for a little extra you can have family dinner too which was delicious. Got loads of advice of things to see and do which made my time really special. The buildings are like a massive tree house fort, lots of art work everywhere very cool, handmade and rustic vibes. A unique and special place to stay.

Super nice staff and a very creative place

Solo 38 years young female Aussie traveller. Very cool hostel. The longer you stay the more you appreciate the place and the love all around the hostel, so much art and quirky things. I was the only person staying at the hostel as its rhe quite season in the area. This didn't matter as I hung out with Himesh, his brother Prabash and their friends who treated me so well and very respectful. Such great humans to be around. Great music, energy, chats and cheapest beers I've had in Sri Lanka. I had the private room, which included breakfast. The room was very big, the bed so unique and comfy. The out door shower was so good. Fan over the bed was perfect. Home cooked, so delicious. Best Dhal I've had in my life (thanks mum). Lots of laughs and conversations. I highly recommend staying here. Friends made for life. Keep growing and dreaming NASA Hostel. Thanks for having me 🙏🙏🙏🌏💜🌻🙏🙏🙏

I fell love with this hostel. The vibe is 100/10

The Chill NASA family were so welcoming and they were so much fun to stay with! I left feeling like a part of that family and I will definitely be back before I return home! I slept in a bunk bed that had a tree to climb in and out of, there were waterfalls for the shower and sink in the bathroom and plenty of beautiful outdoor chill areas if you want a little quiet time! 10/10 must not miss out! Especially if your solo travelling!

It was a little far from the beach for me, about half an hour walk! They do supply bikes to borrow, but they were a bit unsafe, the bike I borrowed had handle bars that were loose and I’m not a very confident rider. The owner said he would look at them though!

Loved the friendliness and sense of community it was so lovely such a nice chilled out place booked 2 nights ended up staying 4 loved it here will come back sometime thank you 💓

Himesh - The Owner Is A Definitely A Find In Bentota, His hospitality and the passion he has towards Chill NASA is what make the stay much more memoriable. Love how it openly connected to earth, the STAY itself is oxygen for a traveler!!

I loved to stay here. felt like a home for a short period of time. The host is very caring, good friend. Definitely recommended for whoever decides to stay in Bentota.

Breakfast was very good and for the price I paid with my discounts, would have presented a good value in itself despite location 2km from beaches and waterfronts; Hamesh has a sweet family and nice doggoes, cute turtles in the mangroves (?); design of the place is hand-done with nice touches. Was able to use bikes for no cost, which provides fun and more value, and Hamesh was kind enough to take me to the bus stop to try to make up for some of the down sides....

Hamesh was drunk when he rolled in with three male friends and another guest (female); later she told me of her very uncomfortable evening. I was told breakfast was 9:30-10 and I booked a single room but around 6:45a was awoken by Hamesh saying another guest needed to come into the room; I had borrowed a bike the night before and got caught in a massive storm so didn't get back until late and had been assured the door locked (as there were a bunch of mosquitoes); after I said I booked a single room, Hamesh unlocked the door anyway when I was half dressed to try to force the guest into the room! Later Hamesh said I booked a cave (there are three), but I booked the single room and anyways it is not clear on the site when you are booking the MRI-like "cave." ...If he had recognized that a few of his actions were messed up, copped to it and took full responsibility, that would've been one thing; but he said a couple times, once after asking that I not write a negative review, unprompted, that he didn't do anything wrong; this, as I told him, is part of the problem. That and he had no memory of the night before. Would be a nice place if he lays off the booze and grows up a bit. Sorry Hamesh.

The place was super quiet, the vibes there, the dogs they have, everything is great. The rooms were super clean and very original, truly one of the best places I have ever stayed. We had an amazing coconut rice pudding for breakfast and they were always looking out for us, sharing good times, stories, food. I would definitely recommend it to everyone and it is clear to me that if I go back to Sri Lanka, I will go to Chill Nasa.

Himesh is very accommodating. feel at home and looked after. gos above and beyond for all the guests. Treats everyone like family, cooks for us. goes on trips with guests. very different from other spots ;)

This place is a hidden gem. Amazing hut and facilities. Really friendly and kind host specially Pati. They were kind enough and offered me some dinner, breakfast and drove me to the station for free. Super value for money!!!
