Wild Atlantic Hostel

The hostel room was well laid out and comfortable. Towels and linen were fresh and clean.

The shower room was not very clean. The water was not draining properly. A shelf in the bathroom for shampoo bottles etc would be great. There are towel hooks on the door. In the main room, there are no towel hooks to hang used towels.

Super comfortable, spacious, clean, excellent place to stay and continue traveling

Location

Very relaxed, ruin was perfrct for our family of 5. Great we could use all resort facilities. Activitieswere great fun and staff were amazing and so helpful. Had the best holiday.

Staff in restaurant at breakfast were not very helpful but I appreciate they were very busy

Emplacement en pleine nature. Paysages magnifiques. Promenades agréables. Accès au spa et activités sportives /ludiques de l'hôtel situé sur le même site.

La douche est très sommaire : on est dans une boîte, même pas une étagère ni un porte manteau. Ventilation douche + wc très bruyante.

O resort é muito completo e está num sítio muito bonito.

Ficamos no hostel e o barulho era imenso. Pessoas a bater com as portas ou algo do género, a nossa cama abanava e ouvia se como se fosse dentro do quarto.

Good value for our family of 6. The kids enjoyed the communal area. Kitchen was clean and well equipped. Relaxed atmosphere and the kids also enjoyed the games and park over in the main hotel.

Room floors were a bit grubby and bedding seemed very old.

Hostel.kitchen is busy

Les espaces communs étaient tres pratiques et l'endroit est vraiment central pour visiter le Connemara. Super douche dans les chambres!

Amazing location and stunning scenery.

The room was not clean, there was visible scum on the bathroom tiles and in between the mattress and the bunks. We were also kept awake until incredibly late due to being situated underneath a recreational room in which people were playing ping pong and moving around chairs until 23:30, with 3 small children this was not ideal. We ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic but the service was poor and unfriendly.

I stayed in the hostel with 5 teens who really enjoyed the experience. The beds in the hostel were quite private with a personal reading lamp and panels between the beds. The communal kitchen / sitting room is spacious and welcoming with all expected kitchen equipment. The rooms are ensuite with a very big shower room. The location is amazing. Mayo wild nature on the doorsetp. Being beside the hotel is also amazing as the facilities can be accessed. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.

We had a problem with the fan in the shower room not turning off but that was rectified by the staff offering us a different room. Otherwise not much not to like.

Very clean and very comfortable, Lovely shower, literally right beside hotel, use of all hotel facilities..Great spaces for kids to relax. We had a great break. Staff all lovely!

Hostel room was very warm! I would suggest a few hooks in the rooms, maybe at the end of bunks or on the doors, would be handy for coats/towels etc.

Non ci tornerei per diversi motivi. L'ostello aveva una pulizia scarsa, soprattutto la parte comune in particolare la cucina. Gli spazi comuni sono troppo piccoli rispetto agli ospiti quindi sono sovrafollati. Quando abbiamo soggiornato noi purtroppo c'erano altre persone poco rispettose. Abbiamp dovuto uscire di stanza alle 4 di notte per chiedere di far silenzio in quanto cera un gruppo di ragazzi che urlava e sbraitava in corrdoio come in pieno giorno. Non ci soggiornerei di nuovo!

L’emplacement. L’endroit est au milieu de la campagne c’est magnifique. Une vue incroyable de la chambre de l’Hostel. L’hôtel était relativement vite ce qui nous a permis de profiter facilement de la cuisine et de la pièce commune pour se retrouver ensemble. Le restaurant attenant est pratique quand on arrive tard, bien sûr, ce ne sont pas les prix de l’hostel, mais il faut savoir qu’il n’y a rien d’autre autour à moins de 15 km.

Impossible de faire une lessive. Il n’y a pas de machine à disposition. On nous a proposé de nous laver notre linge au prix de l’hôtel, soit 25 € le sac ! Pour une auberge, c’est un problème, je trouve

Excellent location, lovely walks and river beside the hostel. Have use of hotel facilities. Towels provided and free parking. On-site restaurant at the hotel but we didn't use. We used the shared kitchen to cook our meals instead. Big kitchen and communal lounge areas. Clean rooms and beds. Separate toilet and shower room within the dorm room we stayed in and two basins also contained within room, great when sharing with others and no waiting for bathroom to be free.. Privacy barrier to each bed and plug sockets, lights, shelf.

Wifi was down, so unable to use devices in the rooms. Had to go to the library/lounge at the hotel for internet access. Beds were not that comfortable and pillows too flat. No toiletries unfortunately. No labels to label food stored in fridge/freezer or cupboards in the kitchen. We had someone help themselves to our full bottle of milk, though I doubt a label would have deterred them.

Scenery great.

Too many groups there at once. We couldnt get near the kitchen facilities this time on our third visit. The games room was taken over by a cycling group aswell. There was no ventilation anywhere in the high heat it was very hard to catch a breath indoors, and outdoors was swarmed by midgees.

Perfect for families.

De locatie. Het ligt in een mooi stukje van de Connomare is naast een hotel waar je kan eten en naast een koffiezaakje, dat jammer genoeg alleen open is tussen 9.30 en 15.00. Er was een goed ingerichte keuken in het hostel.

We hadden een kamer met 3 stapelbedden voor ons tweeën. Met eigen sanitair erbij. Erg elementair, weinig sfeervol. Het leek een beetje op een gevangenis. Ik vond het ook erg duur. We betaalden samen 150 euro.

There were three of us on motorcycles. The dorm room was perfect for us, very clean and tidy. We ate in the restaurant that night and the choice and quality of the food was excellent. We were quite happy with the parking facilities too.

Wish we could have stayed longer :-)

Le bruit. De nombreux groupes d’enfants/adolescents étaient présents et faisaient énormément de bruit en tapant aux murs et en criant.

Spottlessly clean. Lovely kitchen / lounge area which we had to ourselves. Excellent hot shower which we were very grateful for after getting soaked to the skin on Diamond Hill . Location was stunning and views from our room were fantastic . Only staff we saw were at check in at the Delphi resort next door but that was ok and the procedure was very easy .

Nothing really . We would have liked a bread knife and maybe a few more glasses in the kitchen but not a big deal. Rest of kitchen was very well equipped thank you !

Room was clean as far as a hostal goes. Beds were comfy

Shower and Toilet extracer fan was very noisy. The tap was too far from sink causing alot of water mess. Kitchen was ample but advance notice to label food should be advised. Breakfast and dinner food offered was completely over priced.

Amazing location !

Adequate but beds not great and bed linen, we could only stay one night, could not face a 2bd night. staff not friendly and were not interested to ask us anything.

Area was beautiful

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. We arrived soaked after a day of hiking & our wet clothes were taken & dried in the boiler room & we were given 2 umbrellas to keep dry over & back to the hostel. The use of the spa & restaurant is a very welcome added bonus & the food was lovely - especially the overnight oats!

Die Zimmer sind mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Ebenfalls waren sie sehr sauber. Was man beachten muss, ist, dass das Hostel und das angeschlossene Wellnesshotel sehr abgelegen sind. Es bietet sich an, das Frühstück im Hotel mit zu buchen. Außerdem haben wir bei unseren Aufenthalt an beiden Abenden im eigenen Restaurant gegessen.

La stanza era abbastanza pulita e ho apprezzato i lavandini fuori dal bagno in modo tale che si potessero usare in più persone contemporaneamente. La cucina era abbastanza attrezzata, abbiamo cucinato una pasta per 8 persone.

La stanza con la doccia si bagna praticamente del tutto e non ci sono sufficienti ganci per attaccare le cose.
