Amenities really clean. Sociable atmosphere. Solo travelers but also couples and friend groups. Thankfully also travelers older than 25. No party hostel but still very easy to find people to have a beer with or do shared activities with. Restaurant actually really decent. Rooms (we had bungalow) surprisingly big!

Be sure to bring all the cash you need! No FX exchange in Phong Nha, all ATMs are rather scammy with 4+% fees and the hostel takes 5% fee on card payments.

Beds were incredibly comfortable, staff all really nice, rooms were clean, lots of space for storing stuff. Happy hour of free beer each night is fun.

Having a water fountain for drinking water would've been a nice addition to have. Evening activities slightly boring compared to other social hostels I've been in. Area around pool when wet is very slippy and felt a big hazardous barefoot. Location is very quiet and not many grab bikes around

太棒了！完全出乎意料之外！ 我選了這間背包客棧當夜巴下車處，上午四點抵達就詢問櫃檯人員有沒有空床可以臨時入住，櫃台人員非常熱心！完全沒有疲累或是不耐煩的感覺。 隔天起床下樓吃早餐，有南瓜湯、炒麵、馬鈴薯、烤洋蔥、生菜、麵包、咖啡、熱茶，甚至還有人現場煎蛋&鬆餅！這個價位有醬子的免費早餐完全是意料之外！ 更讓人驚喜的是後院！前一晚抵達因為是晚上，而且入口看起來就只是一棟簡單大樓，但沒想到後院居然有超美的山景！可以看到整座山壁臨著住宿土地，似乎伸手就可以摸到，還有游泳池！我非常喜歡，下次還住。 對了，我住女生四人房，房內有乾濕分離的衛浴。唯一比較不方便的只有吹頭髮要到櫃檯（可以租借吹風機回房間，或是櫃台那邊可以免費使用） 隔兩天又入住這間，櫃台人員還認得出我！我要謝謝他對旅人的熱情！

Very clean rooms, all the little details are there. The staff is very helpful and nice, very good breakfast for a hostel! Happy hour with limitless beer every day.

Camere molto spaziose e pulite. Zona centrale molto comoda per tour organizzati alle grotte e per i vari transfer verso le altre città del Vietnam.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The hostel was clean, comfortable and in a great location for exploring Phong Nha, with everything you need nearby. The facilities were great and it felt like a really welcoming place to stay. A special shout out to Jessica and the front of house team, who were incredibly helpful with everything and genuinely went above and beyond. They even made the effort to learn everyone’s names, which made the hostel feel really friendly and personal.

Honestly, nothing major! I had a really positive stay and would happily stay here again.

Equipe muito gentil. Café da manhã justo. Bangalô é bem completo, dormimos super bem. O hostel contava com várias programações legais, como BBQ no Domingo. Voltaríamos novamente.

L'emplacement est top, beaucoup de bus s'arrêtent devant l'hostel. Ils organisent différents tours (grottes, ferme aux canards) à de très bon prix. Quand on est pris par le temps, c'est super facile de booker avec eux. Les chambres sont très confortables et la salle de bain était très propre (pour une fois que ça arrive, il faut le relever). Top d'avoir un happy hour de 19h à 20h, et il est facile de trouver des gens avec qui discuter. Je recommande !!

It’s the place to be in Phong Nha. Clean, well equipped, helpful staff. Party but not too party. Great outside area to swim or relax, knock back a beer under the karst mountains. Dorms stay quiet. Hot water. Tours are very easily organised through them as well. There’s really nowhere else you should stay in phong nha.

Nous sommes arrivés par le bus de nuit à 3h du matin. Il y avait quelqu’un pour nous accueillir qui était très sympathique, nous a tout expliqué nous avons pu rejoindre notre chambre malgré leur tardive

Rien, nous sommes restés juste pour dormir la nuit, nous n’y avons pas passé beaucoup de temps

Tout était parfait !! Le staff était adorable, l’emplacement est central, les activités au bar la nuit sont top, la chambre était confortable. Bref, le top !! On a aussi eu le droit à un barbecue gratuit le dimanche soir !

Bathrooms in dorms were a little smelly and we unfortunately had someone in our dorm who came in drunk at 4am waking us up

Sehr schöne und soziale Unterkunft! Die Privatzimmer sind super geräumig und preiswert. Man kann viele Aktivitäten im Hostel buchen - auch so gibt es super viele Events, an denen man teilnehmen kann, um Leute kennenzulernen. Das Frühstück war auch deutlich besser, als bei vielen anderen Hostels in Vietnam:)

Alloggio ampio, acqua calda (non scontata), piscina (la seconda in costruzione), spazio esterno, birra gratis la sera per aperitivo, un sacco di attività organizzate da loro e vicinanza della fermata bus (proprio davanti!) Atmosfera davvero piacevole e alle 23 fanno davvero rispettare il silenzio. Che dire... bravissimi!

Prime location, the stop for our HK sleeper bus to go to and from, lots of restaurants, cafe, shops. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, bungalow was clean and comfortable and the hostel itself is placed with a beautiful backdrop, would definitely recommend, thank you

The best hostel to stay in phong nha! Lovely staff, very clean room, beds and towels. It a short walk to restaurants and has such a nice vibe. Each night there was some kind of entertainment in the pool area.

Cheap, friendly staff

Not social, but next to a social hostel. Beds were not comfy and I had springs sticking in my back

The room was clean and spacious and a lot better than we expected. Restaurant had a good choice of meal and the food was tasty. Buffet breakfast was also very good. Free beer in the evening happy hour was a nice addition :) An excellent experience when compared to the price.

Very warm people check out was very smooth even for late arrivals. They arranged us nice breakfast. Vibe of the place is chill and very accessible.

Great place! Social atmosphere. Super clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and good AC. Pool was nice. Breakfast was great. Good proximity to things in the main town. Easy scooter rentals to go adventure to some caves independently (or they’ll help you book formal tours if that’s more your speed). Close to restaurants and things. We stayed (as a couple) just in one of the bungalows so it was a little more private and we liked that. Staff let us store our bags all day and even shower after we had checked out while we were waiting for our night bus way later in the day

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing - it’s definitely a social place. Easy to meet people, they have happy hour with free beer and things like trivia and karaoke and stuff. We were pooped from big travel days so not trying to get too involved in that. It was a little loud (trivia and music on the loud speaker) especially for a Monday night but it was over by 11pm

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en deed er alles aan een fijne sfeer te waarborgen. Kamers waren ruim en comfortabel. Leuke mogelijkheid tot het boeken van activiteiten via het hostel.

Het hostel is gigantisch en daarom best druk. Het kan al snel vol en als een chaos voelen. Dat is natuurlijk ook de hostel ervaring maar het moet maar net zijn wat je zoekt.

We had a great stay at Central Backpackers and would definitely recommend it. The rooms were very clean, the reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they assisted us with everything we needed during our stay. One of the highlights was the social atmosphere: the free BBQ for guests and the live music made the evenings really enjoyable and created a great environment to meet other travelers. The breakfast was also excellent. We loved that it was a buffet with plenty of options, making it one of the best hostel breakfasts we have had during our trip. The only area for improvement was the taxi service arranged through the hostel. The driver was friendly, but he spent most of the journey answering phone calls, including at least one video call while driving. This made us feel a bit uncomfortable and concerned about safety. Since guests trust transportation arranged by the hostel, it may be worth reminding drivers to avoid using their phones while driving and to focus on the road. Aside from that, everything was fantastic, and we truly enjoyed our stay.
