Everything perfect! As a solo traveller met there amazing people.

Mille merci Ann pour l'accueil, les conseils, les blagues, les recommandations, l'hospitalité ! Les lits sont confortables, avec leur propre lumière et ventilateur (gros gros + quand on n’en peut plus de la clim à fond ici en Malaisie, chacun peut moduler à son souhait). Proche de toutes commodités, propre, avec possibilité de réserver des tours ou des bus.

Fantastisch verblijf gehad. Ann (de host) wilt alles voor je regelen wat erg fijn is als je treks wilt doen in de jungle! Zeker een aanrader.

Super endroit pour séjourner à Taman Negara quand on aime rencontrer du monde. Ann gère l'hostel avec perfection, tout est nettoyé très régulièrement et elle a de très bons conseils pour toutes les sorties/treks que l'on peut réserver auprès d'elle. L'hostel est situé juste à côté de la jetée et de tout service.

Ich glaube für mich war der Dorm mit so vielen zu gross. Der Vorteil war aber dass viele auf Wandertouren waren und gar nicht im Hostel.

Ann est très accueillante et elle aide pour réserver toutes les activités, elle fait son maximum pour que ses hôtes soient bien. Le logement, les draps, sont très propres. Emplacement central.

Pas de fenêtre dans le dortoir mais on n'y va que pour dormir, le silence est assez respecté dans l'établissement ce qui est agréable

La gentillesse et l'attention de Ann, la gérante. Elle est vraiment aux petits soins de tous, de bons conseils, sans forcer la main sur la réservation de tours, de bus, etc. Malgré le côté rudimentaire du lieu, je m'y suis particulièrement bien sentie.

Ça reste rustique (toilette douche) donc il faut être ok avec ça pour apprécier l'expérience.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ici grâce à Ann qui a été d’une bienveillance incroyable, elle est chaleureuse et très douce. Comme une deuxième maman, elle est de très bons conseils ! Les lits sont très agréable, le soir il y a la clim dans les dortoirs et le reste du temps ce sont des ventilateurs. Les sanitaires sont propres et pratique tout était parfait Petit plus : son petit chat adorable 🫶🏻 Thanks you Ann

Anne (the owner) is the loveliest, most helpful hostel owner I’ve ever met, just a generally great person.

The dorm can get slightly cramped at times but you’re only really in there to sleep so it’s nothing bad.

Ann è molto disponibile per aiutare in qualsiasi cosa, dai trasporti alle escursioni. È molto simpatica e crea una bellissima atmosfera. Un bellissimo soggiorno!

Non ci sono abbastanza posti per tutti nello spazio comune e i bagni sono pochi (la doccia è sopra il wc)

Este hostel es un modesto pero tiene todo lo necesario para que estés agusto, además Ann la chica que lleva el hostel, está siempre limpiando. A mí personalmente lo que más me gustó, fue el trato de Ann, ella está muy pendiente de que todos sus huéspedes se sientan bien,intenta conectarnos unos con los otros y te ayuda en todo lo que puede, es como una mamá. Si viajas sola o con algún/a amigo/a es el sitio ideal para conocer a otros viajeros y hacer actividades juntos. Yo en tres días que estuve hice muchas amistades :) Si vuelvo a Taman Nagara volveré a este hostel sin duda! ✨

Ann ist das Herz dieses Hostel und so empfängt sie auch all ihre Gäste. Wir wurden über alle Touren und Möglichkeiten intensiv und sehr gut beraten. Sie konnte sofort alle Namen und hat auch die Gäste miteinander connected. Wir konnten unseren Aufenthalt hier extrem genießen.

The owner is a very capable and kind woman. She is a jungle guide, has all the contacts and knows what the visitors want and expect. If you stay in her house, you have to stick to her rules, but the routine works! We had a great time and would do it again.

Some extra space to chill would be a plus.

Sens dubte el que li dona sentit al lloc i el que fa que vulguis repetir es l’amfitriona. L’Ann és encantadora, una mama. T’ajuda amb tot el que pot de forma desinteressada i es nota que li agrada la seva feina. Al hostel es crea un bon ambient. La situació és molt bona.

Els lavabos podrien ser millors, sovint es queden sense aigua i tenint en compte qie molta gent ve de fer rutes i està suada, és una putada. Crec que l’habitació s’ha volgut treure el màxim rendiment i hi ha massa gent. No és un hostel per descansar, la gent matina molt per les rutes.

The best hostel I have stayed in, literally felt like home. Ann the hostess was amazing ! She took care of every single guest, she was like the hostel mum. Beds were comfy, air con in the room and curtains on the beds. Great hostel

Alles! Das Hostel wurde mit Liebe eingerichtet und so wird es auch geführt. Das Hostel ist sehr sauber und einfach schön. Ann kümmert sich um ihre Gäste als wären ea ihre eigenen Kinder - ganz egal, wie alt man ist. Sie sorgt dafür, dass alle immer rechtzeitig bei ihren Meeting Points für ihre Ausflüge ankommen, stellt sicher, dass man sein Ticket nicht verliert, und und und. Sie ist für alle Anfragen zu haben: Pflaster, Klimaanlage etwas wärmer stellen, Sonnenuntergangstour organisieren… Einfach toll, was wir dort alles erlebt haben. Mein Tipp: Cave Tour am besten bei ihr buchen, denn sie hat einen Guten Preis und kümmert such um wirklich alles - selbst um das Gepäck während man nicht da ist.

Ann et Blackblack sont absolument formidables ! Avoir une hôte présente et aidante est vraiment très apprécié. Lit super propre et super confortable. Emplacement idéal, près de tout. Un couvre feu à 23h au lieu de 22h serait vraiment l'idéal, ça permettrait encore plus aux voyageurs de créer des liens :)

Ann the host, she is amazing and veeery funny. Helped em with everything and also has a lot of knowledge about Taman Negara and what to do. The place is simple, but very, very clean. Black-black is sweetest cat ever, she is ar o under sometimes looking for cuddles if you are lucky enough. Due problems with my flights I arrived one night later than planned, I asked her to move one day forward, was not possible and I actually fully understand the reasons. It was the day before check in, and somehow the high season is no busy as usual. Plug in the bed, with curtains for more privacy, and extra points for the chamber room in the doorm, do not need to do acrobatics to put on your clothes in the toilet! Anyway my stay here was great, I extended. Thanks Ann. I will repeat my stay there

There is no wifi, so if you're like me, planning dayby day, it's very challenging. But it make all.giest interact more at the chilling area. Its nice, but not very comfy to stay sitted for long.

The owner is very sweet and extremely helpful in planning excursions and transfers. The dorm is clean and the beds are comfortable, clean, and spacious.

Auberge simple mais confortable. La clim permet de bien dormir. Le dortoir est grand mais on n'a pas l'impression d'etre trop nombreux donc cela reste agréable. Hôte très accueillante, peut renseigner sur les activités si besoin.

I stayed in this hostel for 3 nights whilst visiting Taman Negara and had an amazing experience. The owner Ann is super lovely and puts her heart and soul in to the business. The guests are well looked after and there are lots of tour options. In particular I recommend the long day trek to the waterfall and the night river cruise. There is also a lovely cat which stays here. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Taman Negara! The vibes were unmatched! The location is also absolutely excellent !

Ann est vraiment une deuxième maman pour vous : elle est super attentionnée, toujours de bonne humeur et serviable, et elle s’inquiète toujours pour vous. J’ai vraiment adoré l’endroit, super calme, très propre et bien situé. Je vous le recommande fortement si vous voyagez solo ou à deux, pour l’hospitalité de Ann qui est vraiment le point fort de ce logement. (Son chat est trop mignon 🥹)

I had an amazing stay here and all because of the owner Ann. She made my stay so special, really caring about my experience and helping with everything! I met lots of lovely other travellers and she took care of us all. You can book the tours through her and she knows all the local guides. I will miss you Ann, thank you!

Had a really nice stay. Ann the owner is very helpful and kind, she was my surrogate mother for the time being haha. Also the hostel is a good place to socialize pretty much everyone comes there for the jungle tour, so you can meet people to do it with. I recommend booking the tour with Ann, she arranged everything right away.

Good air conditioning at night, plus fans for the daytime. Location off the main road so quiet but minutes to the jetty or the center of town. Ann is a lovely host, very friendly, helpful and relaxed, and she speaks excellent English.

A bit pricey for a dorm bed but relatively good for Kuala Tahan, where lodging is more expensive in general. Only one small bathroom/shower: This wasn’t a problem for me but it could be if more people were staying there.

En voyant les commentaires sur Google Maps, je suis arrivée un peu à reculons, ne sachant pas trop quoi penser au vue des avis divergents. Mais aujourd’hui je peux vous dire qu’Ann est une personne exceptionnellement gentille et bienveillante. Elle peut paraître un peu infantilisante, mais ce n’est que de la pure bienveillance. Elle va vous proposer tous ces services qui sont payants (location de serviette après le trek, laundry etc, ce qui peut paraître un peu insistant, mais sachez que ce n’est QUE pour vous rendre service et pas pour l’argent. C’est un amour. N’hésitez pas, foncez.

Le prix est un peu élevé mais c’est partout pareil à Taman Negara. Il y a également des fourmis, mais c’est inévitable car nous sommes dans la nature ! Comme le précise Ann, ce n’est pas un resort mais un petit hébergement familial et chaleureux :)

Het was een simpel en schoon hostel. De host Ann heeft mij geholpen met boeken van een trip en met vervoer naar een andere bestemming regelen. Het was een enorm goed verblijf!

Vriendelijk onthaald door Anne, en er kan veel via haar geregeld worden. De stilte-uren vanaf 22u is echt heerlijk. Alles is ook heel proper.

Er is weinig extra plaats voor rugzakken of vrije ruimte/gemeenschappelijke ruimte.

Amazing experience

Una maravilla. Relación calidad precio fantástico, es lo que se ve en n las fotos. Todo muy limpio y Anna muy amable y atenta a todo. Repetiría sin ninguna duda.

Las duchas y baños no son los de un hotel, pero válidos para unas noches en la selva.

Die Betten waren bequem, die Lage ist zentral und die Unterkunft an sich sauber, für eine Nacht okay.

Drinnen im Schlafsaal hat man sehr wenig Platz, vor allem mit grossen Backpackerrucksäcken, da es viele Betten und schmale Gänge sind. Allgemein erinnerte es eher an einen Massenschlafsaal mit ca 20 Betten auf 50qm. Es gibt Vorhänge, allerdings bedecken diese meist nur eine Hälfte des Bettes. "Aufenthaltsraum" (draussen) ist gut, allerdings darf man dort rauchen, was für Nichtraucher womöglich etwas unangenehm sein kann (auch Wäsche an der Wäscheleine). Preis ist meiner Meinung nach zu hoch, wir hatten für die erste Nacht in einer anderen Unterkunft weniger als die Hälfte des Preises von hier bezahlt und hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit mehr Platz und eigenem Bad (einzig Klimaanlage gab es dort nicht). Die Hostelbetreiberin war zu uns nicht gerade freundlich, als wir sie nach der Haltestelle unseres Busses fragten, reagierte sie sehr unfreundlich und half uns nicht weiter, da wir den Bus nicht bei ihr gebucht haben, sondern online (Redbus), da es viel günstiger war. Netterweise hat uns dann unser erster Hostelbetreiber (Hostel Fatehah Inn) weitergeholfen (sehr zu empfehlen).

There was nothing I didn't like

The owner was great, she was always happy and happy to help with any questions and bookings! The dorm was very nice as well, privacy curtain in front of the beds, a plug, little fan and light in the bunk. Also, no shoes allowed in the dorm so it was very clean. When we were here we also had a great group of people staying there, so lots of fun!

Süßes, kleines Hostel. Ann ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man sollte Katzen mögen. Es gibt kein Wifi, kein Trinkwasser. Ich habe meine Zwei-Tagestour durch den Dschungel direkt im Hostel gebucht. Wenn man selbst keinen 30 Liter-Rucksack dabei hat, kann man ihn hier für wenig Geld leihen.

I did the 2 days trekking in the jungle and the owner didn't allow me to leave my backpack in the hostel to go back the following night. We all just moved to a much better and cheaper hostel our guide recommended, where we could leave our things.

The dorm is air conditioned and beds surprisingly spacious. Very comfortable and quiet. The host Ann is very nice and can book tours and transport.

Toilets/showers are very compact. Not a lot of space to undress and dress after showering.

La cama era muy comoda y todo ewstaba muy limpio. La mujer era muy agradable y habia un ambiente muy bueno. Totalmente recomendado.

it was so close to the restraunts and shops and the river, really great location. the incredible woman who runs it is so funny and clearly cares about her guests, she helps organise tours, answer any questions you have and is just super super funny. i met some of my now best friends there and made memories ill have for the rest of my life. the rooms are airconed at night and i felt incredibly safe.

the showers are the kind that are in the toilet cubicles, honestly not that big a deal, just a bit squeazy. the blankets are very thin but still, its really warm there so again, youll live.

Équipements corrects

Nous avions réservé 2 nuit dans cet hostel. Par WhatsApp, nous discutons avec Ann pour pouvoir réserver un trek dans le parc, celle-ci nous demandant de réserver via ses services pour supporter ses activités. Ce qui n’était absolument pas un problème pour nous, nous demandons donc de réserver le trek 2J1N. Nous nous rendons compte ensuite que notre 2e nuit tombait pendant ce trek, et demandons donc si nous pouvons la décaler au retour du trek, comme nous réservions celui-ci avec Ann cela nous paraissait être un bon arrangement. Cette dernière a vite réagi agressivement, nous disant que nous n’étions pas raisonnables de faire cette demande. Puis en nous demandant ensuite d’annuler notre réservation dans son logement car elle « ne pouvais pas supporter notre demande », et au revoir car elle allait se coucher. Bien sûr, c’était non remboursable, même si la demande d’annulation venait de sa part. Nous avons donc gardé la première nuit chez elle, la deuxième ayant été payée et perdue. Ann demande donc à l’aider avec son business, mais elle n’est d’aucun support pour ses clients si cela peut l’amener à récupérer de l’argent sur leur dos. Nous avons d’ailleurs appris ensuite qu’elle faisait payer tout ce qu’elle pouvait à ses clients : garde des bagages le temps de leur excursion, même réservée avec elle, douche si vous arrivez un peu avant le check-in, etc. En fouillant un peu sur d’autres commentaires, nous nous sommes rendus compte que nous n’étions pas les seuls à avoir été mal reçus par Ann, pour le même genre de raisons. Surtout que, les équipements sont corrects, mais le prix est beaucoup trop élevé pour les infrastructures proposées (pas de wifi, boîte en polystyrène faisant office de frigo, équipements suffisants mais très basiques, peu d’espaces communs utilisés également comme son bureau). Et vous avez intérêt à être matinal, car à 8h15 toute les lumières sont annulées par Ann elle-même. Le service n’est pas du tout à la hauteur du prix proposé.

Établissement très très propre, l’emplacement est juste à côté de la rivière à 3min à pied, Ann est vraiment très gentille et aux petit soins, c’est très agréable et bien entretenue, le top pour une guest house.

Well kept lively hostel. Facilties are clean, bed is comfortable. Ann is incredibly nice, she helps with basically everything that you ask her, organizing trips and other advice. Would really recommend staying here if you are after a budget friendly option.

L'accueil a été catastrophique : pas même un bonjour, la seule préoccupation de l'hôte était notre place de stationnement temporaire. Les règles sont trop contraignantes et non communiquées en amont - notamment l'heure d'extinction des lumières qui ne permet pas de faire la sortie de nuit. Aucune commodité sur place (parking, douche et wc publics et payants à 400m a pied). Nous avons finalement logé au Matleon village à l'extérieur et c'était vraiment super !

The location is walking distance to the main bus station and restaurants around Taman Negara.

I didn't feel comfortable being with the owner Ann since I felt like she has a temperamental and impatient personality.I asked her whether there is wifi,and she gave me a negative micro body language.Also,when I asked her about whether I should include Orang Asli your on top of my 2 days-1 night tour she told me in a scolding way "How come I don't know the details of the tour that I purchase? Though I have also witnessed her helping other customers from time to time,my experience with her has been negative,and I recommend her to learn patience,genuine care for customers as well as soft skills.

Ann, desde el primer momento, te deja todo claro y el alojamiento es exactamente lo que promete. Es un albergue que tiene todo lo que debe tener un buen albergue. Pero lo mejor es Ann, que forma parte de la experiencia y hace que todo sea estupendo. Lo recomiendo sin dudarlo si vas a Taman Negara.
