Botchan Hostel

Si viajas solo esta genial. He conocido a un monton de gente, mas literas estan bien. Se agradece el desayuno los dias de Surf.

La cocina podria estar un poquito mas equipada. En la semana que me he alojado, a tres personas con las que he hablado nas han desparecido pertenencias como bolsos y dinero, recomiendo usar los lockers.

L'endroit est bien placé, les extérieurs très beau, le personnel adorable.

Malheureusement c'est très sale, que ce soit l'eau de la piscine ou encore les chambres. Aucune pression d'eau dans la salle de bain.

V good hostel and exceptional value for money. Everyone on a similar vibe so it is a good place to meet people. Staff are so, so helpful. Kept extending my stay!

L’hostel en lui même est bien, bien positionné et facile d’accès. Ils proposent des locations de scooter directement sur place ce qui et un plus. Le petit déjeuner est composé de Banana Pancake + café / thé / eau à volonté

Attention, j’ai réservé un transfert vers l’aéroport de Lombok avec l’hostel. Le prix était de 180 000 IDR pour une voiture privé sauf que l’on s’est retrouvé à 6 dans la voiture et le chauffeur m’a demandé 200 000 IDR. Je ne recommande pas de prendre les transferts avec eux !

No es para nada lo que pone en las fotos, pero para pasar unos días está bien. Hay ambiente.

The rooms are cleaned daily and so are the showers/toilets, the breakfast is good, the staff helpful. Bed are comfy enough, and there are chairs to suntan and a bilard in the common room

the guests mainly, too young and brits, so no respects for others and keep screaming past midnight when it's clearly not allowed... this alone made the stay hard to enjoy

It was a nice hostel, with a good location even if it was not super central, but otherwise clean.

I have been there for five days and four of them we had no water at all, and the rest of the time hot water was not working. Multiple people reported the problems and a couple of times the people working there started to laugh and talk in Indonesia between them, not very polite. For breakfast they did only dry pancakes every day, people had to buy their own yogurt or chocolate to be able to eat them.

Absolutely loved botchan. The staff were so amazing. Perfect place to meet other travellers and hangout, but also have your own space if you need it because the place is really big.

Shower pressure is really bad.

It’s clean and the staff clean it everyday, hot water for shower, big portion of American style banana pancake, free flow water, communal kitchen and fridge.

Iedereen was super behulpzaam! De ligging is ook echt prima en het zwembad is heerlijk!

definitely recommend! nice common area, room and bathroom, it’s very clean position is good (in the centre of the city, you have everything close, the beach it’s like 20 min walking) staff is very nice

Das Hostel ist perfekt zum vernetzten und Buchungen, sowie einen Roller zu leihen können jederzeit sehr einfach über das Hostel getätigt werden. Das Frühstück ist gut (Bananenpancakes). Die Zimmer sind sehr groß

Die Duschen haben leider etwas wenig Wasserdruck und es gibt leider keine Alternative zum Frühstück, wenn man keine Bananenpancakes mag

Prácticamente me gustó todo, camas cómodas, limpieza, zonas comunes, desayuno incluido (pancakes y café/te), puedes alquilar moto allí.

Lo único que cambiaría es que se intentaran poner cortinas en las camas para ganar privacidad y mejorar así el descanso. Hay algunas camas en medio de la habitación individuales donde te ve todo el mundo durmiendo.

I arrived planning to stay for 3 nights, but in the end I stayed for 10! I highly recommend it—the hostel is amazing and attracts wonderful people. :)

So many mosquitoes in the room and also I got bitten by the bugs on the bed. My arms and legs are really bad with the little red spot and so so so itchy. Also not every bed with the cover so you don’t feel private and safe when sleeping

De ligging was ok en er was laundry service.

Het stonk in de kamer en de badkamer, de elektriciteit werkte niet naar behoren, dus ik kon mijn telefoon niet opladen en er werd maar half geluisterd als ik hier een oplossing voor vroeg.

De kamers waren heerlijk ruim in de dorm met zeven bedden en super schoon! Het was ook leuk ingericht en het beddengoed rook lekker fris. Ook de badkamer was schoon, netjes en ruimtelijk. Deze werd elke dag schoongemaakt. Er was een heerlijk zwembad met ligbedjes. Daarnaast was er gratis ontbijt bestaande uit lekkere bananen pannenkoekjes en gratis koffie, water refill en thee. Je mocht altijd om meer vragen. De wasservice was goed en heel goedkoop. De sfeer in het hostel was heel relaxt en gezellig. Je kon in het hostel mensen ontmoeten en socializen, maar ook lekker tot rust komen.

Als je geen scooter wilt of kunt huren zijn de stranden wel vrij ver weg aangezien er geen Grab is. Kuta Beach is het enige strand dat op loopafstand te bereiken is.

The property is really nice and clean! The swimming pool it’s amazing! Really good pancakes for breakfast. The rooms in the dorm are big and cozy.

Someone stole my friend’s money from her bag during the day. We were not able to find out who has been even with cameras. These kind of things are not supposed to happen but we can’t blame the security of the hostel

Ambiente muy agradable puedes socializar muy fácilmente en las zonas comunes sobre todo en el desayuno con sus pancakes de plátano caseras pero tb puedes estar a tu bola y relajarte en la piscina .

I had an amazing stay at Botchan Hostel, this was actually my second time here, and it definitely won’t be the last. Every time I come to Lombok, this place feels like home. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, always making sure you feel comfortable and taken care of. The pancakes every morning are absolutely delicious (seriously, something to look forward to waking up for 😄). The beds are super comfortable, and the rooms are cool, clean, and well-maintained, everything you need to properly relax after a long day. What makes this place even more special is the community. I loved running into familiar faces who also keep coming back, and at the same time meeting new people from all over the world. Such a warm, friendly, and easygoing vibe, can’t recommend it enough. 🙏🏼🫶🏼

Only a small downside, there are a lot of mosquitoes, but that’s just the tropical environment and not something the hostel can really control. Everything else is spot on.

Shared bathrooms weren’t that clean and in the 12 person dorm there wasn’t too much space for your luggage.

Perfect swimming pool, clean rooms, shelves in the bed and light. Very nice common area. Very practical and beautiful hostel.

Super leuke sfeer hier, de staff is heel vriendelijk en het was geen probleem om te verlengen. Alles was top :)

De badkamers werden niet echt vaak schoon gemaakt en de kamers ook niet. Er bleef nog wat afval van de andere persoon achter.

Had a pleasant stay here Pros: 1. Beautiful pool and chill common area 2. Located at a central area; just a couple of meters from the main street 3. AC in the rooms 4. Good affordable price 5. Active staff that cleans the rooms and hallways everyday 6. Free breakfast, coffee and a water filler 7. Nice shared kitchen 8. Smooth check-in/out Cons: 1. Would’ve been nice if the common area had bean bags. The way it’s designed makes it harder to socialize and get to know ppl; everybody retreats to their own corner 2. No fans in the common area; sometimes it would get too hot 3. Sometimes the bathrooms lacked soap 4. The curtains in the dorms are see-through and the top bunks don’t have any which was the biggest con for me. Privacy can be an issue Overall it’s a nice hostel for a couple of nights

Muy linda la vibra que se genera! Buenísima el área común y riquísimos los banana pancakes de desayuno :) Las camas muy cómodas. El personal muy alegre siempre. Podes alquilar scooter ahí mismo por un muy buen precio. Excelente ubicación y muy buena relación precio calidad! :)

El último día creo que me picaron chinches en la cama.

Relaxed and comfortable homestay. The common areas include a beautiful swimming pool, a billard/pool table and board games. There is also free breakfast with banana pancakes and coffee :).
