They have 2 refrigerators, and they offer plastic baskets for people to store their dry goods.

The employees could be better about cleaning out the refrigerators, especially when the hostal is full. What they shoukd do, as many other hostels do, is to clean and/or look through the refrigerators one specific day each week, and to pull out anything without a name on it and anything with a date on it that has passed. And, all should be instructed to put both their name and the date they will leave on everything they put in the refrigerators. In essence, the hostal needs a clear system instead of leaving it up to chance.

Ottima posizione, la camera familiare molto comoda per 4 persone.

Problemi con acqua calda nella doccia, ma lo staff ha provveduto risolvendo il problema.

They use bleach sometimes to clean the beds after people leave, so there are no bed bugs like at some hostels in the city.

The wifi cuts out occasionally. Usually, you just have to turn off wifi and turn it back on and/or shift the position of your computer, but you may need to try several times, and you may have to restart your computer. Phones don't seem to be affected as often.

When the coffee machine broke, they fixed it within a week.

It didn't last a week or much more once "fixed."

They have horses to put your wet clothes on to dry in the back yard.

It can be so breezy on the roof that your clothes go flying next door even if you use clothes line clips.

Le zone comuni sono molto grandi e accoglienti, la cucina ben fornita e molto utile. L'atmosfera è molto tranquilla e rilassata. La camera era spaziosa con letti e cuscini comodi e una bellissima terrazza.

Purtroppo per una giornata interna mancava l'acqua calda e soprattutto la sera è stato un problema.

Mika seems to be a conscientious employee.

Tge quality of the service seems to go down on the weekends. One notices things like no fresh water to drink in the early morning or a soap dispenser hasn't been filled or there are people at the door ringing the bell but no one answers ot there's no toilet paper in the outdoor toilet.

The showers have soap.

The soap dispensers at the 2 bathrooms are sometimes neglected.

El lugar queda céntrico, la habitación con baño propio estuvo adecuada y sobre todo Mica la encargada muy atenta y amigable.

El colchón de la habitación y algunos trastes colectivos estaban sucios pero eso es responsabilidad de los inquilinos.

Me dejaron un detalle en la habitación por la ocasión especial de mi aniversario por la que viajamos a este lugar, anteriormente reserve a través de la pagina en otro hotel en Mérida y no cumplieron esa expectativa y aquí aunque es mas pequeño pero acogedor si la cumplieron, los felicito, me volvería a hospedar ahi cuando viaje de nuevo por ese rumbo además tienen muy buena vista y el centro turístico a pocas calles.

El hostal está súper amplio, con todo el equipamiento necesario, la ubicación está perfecta y el ambiente está muy bueno.

El personal está bastante ausente y no se sabe muy bien quién trabaja ahí.

Très chouette hôtel, à 10-15min à pied du centre et à 10min à pieds des colectivos. Personnel serviable, possibilité de faire des tours via l’hôtel ainsi que des navettes.

Humidité très importante dans la chambre (malgré un système de ventilation TRÈS TRÈS bruyant si on le met en route) ce qui est très peu agréable. Pas de rideaux occultants et lumière toute la nuit dans la coure.

Fantastic place! Fast internet and nice common areas if you need to work online. Rooms are big and clean, so even with 10 beds it never felt crowded. Beds are so confortable and have individual lights, electric plugs and privacy curtains, so convinient!. Location is perfect, just halfway between main bus station and city center, few minutes walking from all atractions, shops and restaurants. The Kitchen was pretty and very well equipped, drinking water is provided which is also quite appreciated. The staff is kind and helpful, I never had best value for money before.

El hostal Abuelita se encuentra muy cerca de la plaza central de San Cristóbal, permitiendo tener acceso muy fácil a los andadores turísticos, restaurantes y vida turística del poblado. Me gustó que el ambiente del hostal es amigable y los huéspedes suelen ser amables y platicadores. Tiene cocina equipada con todo, área sencilla de lavado, área común y una terraza de usos múltiples con mesitas, permitiendo convivencia y relax al mismo tiempo. En mi caso, le solicité al personal aseo cada 3er día y no hubo ningún problema. Recibir la llave de la entrada principal es muy útil para entrar y salir a la hora que sea necesario sin molestar a nadie. Siempre que vaya a Sancris esta será mi opción de alojamiento!

Dentro de la habitación todo era muy cómodo, sin embargo, creo que la calidad de las toallas y las almohadas podría ser un poco mejor. Aunque es un lugar que cuenta con todas las amenidades, tener una lavadora ayudaría un poco más a los huéspedes. (aunque no sea de self service y el hostal ofrezca ese servicio por separado)

Unbelievable value for money! Our room was compact but very comfortable and there was lots of space around the bathroom sink to store toiletries which was appreciated! The room was cleaned and our bed made every day, which we definitely weren’t expecting, and all the staff were very friendly. The terrace outside our room and the rooftop were both lovely spots to hang out. Finally the location was perfect, super close to the square but quiet and peaceful at night.

On our second night, there was a guest staying in the room next door who was repeatedly smoking on the terrace area right outside our room, despite the “no smoking” sign (which I’m not sure if she actually saw). Unfortunately the smell carried heavily into our room making our stay a little unpleasant for those first couple of days. I would maybe suggest for staff to re-iterate the no smoking rule on the terrace when showing guests to their room in that area to avoid any confusion.

It's about 5 blocks to the central square.

One of the cleaning ladies brought her boyfriend to hang out in the kitchen, which is full enough with travelers. The boyfriend was coughing and wasn't covering his mouth. The last thing a hostel needs is for some sick person who hasn't even paid to stay there to come over and spread his germs around.

Excellent staff. Very helpful. I've stayed at around 600 hostels throughout my travels and always return to this place. Its like my unoffiicial home.

Steel lockers are needed for better security. Hooks are needed inside the showers.

Toilet and shower stalls need at least one hook inside. No one wants ro leave their stuff outside when going to the bathroom or taking a shower.

My blue bed curtain is stained with something white, and the mattress is broken and makes a ton of noise when you get in or out or just shift positions. The toilet and shower stalls need a hook INSIDE.

Terraza con vista, salita y comedor, la cocina grande y súper equipada (verdad parece da de la abuelita) con hasta especias, tes... El dormitorio cómodo y limpio, las camas tienen su cortina que da privacidad. Uno de los mejores hostales en los que he estado y por un precio súper

Lo único que podría mejorar un poco es la limpieza de los baños siendo compartidos con 10 personas.

Excelente ubicación. Me encantó el lugar, cómodo, cocina súper equipada, con todo lo necesario para una buena estadía. Cerca de la terminal de buses y de las calles principales. La habitación espaciosa y la cama muy cómoda. Sin dudas volvería a alojarme!

El espacio es bastante cómodo. Las duchas están dentro de la habitación. Me agrada que te dan llave para el compartimiento de tus cosas y una llave para poder entrar y salir del alojamiento. El espacio es amplio y muy lindo.

This place was great value for money. Our private room.waa spacious and had a terrace. Kitchen was well stocked. Great location (close to bus station and centre). Lots of info about tours and where to eat. We enjoyed the games provided. Lots of common areas and a rooftop terrace to hang out in.

Our private shower mostly didn't work (only a trickle of hot water came out) so we showered in the shared bathroom. Activities didn't seem to be happening.

The ladies on staff. Pox Friday. They make your bed everyday.

Sad to see some of the amenities no longer available like free rice.

De sfeer is gezellig, en voor deze prijs hadden we een prima prive kamer. De locatie was erg fijn tussen het gezellige centrum het ADO station.

Het bed was wat hard en het sanitair was simpel, maar wel naar verwachting voor deze prijs.

The staff was amazing, the shared kitchen super equipped, free coffee, tea and water. The cleaning service. The tours we got with them, amazing and great value for money. The location was great, close to the center - walking distance. The other people in the hostel. The water in the room, the terrace.

The mold in the room. The staff put a dehumidifier in the room, so they were aware of it and the machine helped. We slept with the window down and the machine on so it was fine, which is why my rating is still a 10/10 despite this fact. Amazing value for money.

Petite chambre au calme, propre et très bien située. Personnel agréable, une cuisine est à disposition avec de l'eau et du café.

Malheureusement, il y a un gros problème d'humidité dans la chambre malgré désinstallation de déshumidification la chambre reste très très humide et très froide la nuit.

El centro está ha tres calles , está limpio y la habitación es grande con una terraza que podría tener unas mejoras para poder disfrutar de ella .

Definitivamente el agua en la dicha es pésima,no hay presión y el agua caliente no se mantiene constante dura unos cuantos minutos,las almohadas son terribles en verdad y otra cosa muy muy importante la base de la cama es de madera , muy sencilla y rechina todaaaaaa la noche imposible lograr dormir.

La atención es excelente. No tiene estacionamiento pero en la calle el auto estaba seguro Te dan llave y entras como en tu casa La cocina bien equipada. Todo limpio. Caminando a varios museos, al centro, restaurantes etc...

Todo fue excelente 👌 Quizá otra cobija pero en general cumplió perfecto y hasta hacen limpieza diaria.

C'était cool d'avoir à disposition l'eau potable, le café, thé et cuisine commune. Il y avait de l'eau chaude pour la douche. Le personnel était super disponible pour répondre à nos demandes et questions.

Dans la salle de la douche de la chambre privative, il y a une sorte de "fenêtre/trou" (large de 40x60 cm au moins) qui donne sur la chambre, donc la chaleur s'échappe et il fait un peut froid en sortant de la douche. Mais c'est un détail, car tout le reste est top, on se croirait chez son "abuelita"!

If they would add simple shelfs to the bunkbeds, would be lovely. If you charge your phone or other devices you don't really have any place for them other than the bed or your locker.

I liked the kitchen. Very big and much stuff you can use. Also there was free coffee! The location is right in between the city centre and the ADO-terminal. And near a mercado. Everything was walkable, it felt very good The rooftop-terrace is very nice!

I thought the doorbell didnt worked. But it turned out that the girl from the hostal was either using her earphones or didnt liked me?? She didnt opened the door, the doorbell worked and I saw her sitting in the kitchen.. but she and all other staff were very helpfull besides this weird little incident.. Also the toilet on the rooftop could be legendary if the hostel removed the blinding foil on the windows. What a view you could have while... Lastly, a lot of people wake you up at 3/3:30 because of the 'transfer tours'. I guess this happens in all dorms through town.. maybe this is a town to book something private.. The tours they offer are more pricey than the tour operators in the centre

La verdad, muy buen hostal. Limpio, relación calidad-precio muy buena. Reservamos el cuarto con terraza (muy grande terraza privada que recomiendo) y otro cuarto con balcón. A todos nos encantó.

Hay un poco de humedad en los cuartos. Se ve que tratan de remediar a este problema. Quién sabe cómo se pondría en temporada de lluvias...pero fuera de eso, todo perfecto!

Está cerca del centro y el área común es linda y práctica tienes todo para cocinar incluso especias aunque nosotros no utilizamos nada porque solo llegamos a dormir. En la habitación te dejan agua potable lo cual es cool.

Que en comparación de las áreas comunes la habitación estaba un poco deteriorada respecto a las fotos y por el precio dias antes nos hospedamos en un lugar cerca que está a otro nivel e igual céntrico. Hay agua caliente solo hay que tener paciencia porque tarda en salir.

El lugar es muy bonito, también súper limpio siempre, note que hacen la limpieza de las habitaciones diario, super cómodo el lugar y las personas muy amables, la cocina tiene todo lo necesario y el lugar a unas cuantas calles de la iglesia
