Het was echt enorm mooi, het personeel was fantastisch echt enorm aardig! Tis goed om te weten dat de villa’s beneden liggen tov van het hotel je wordt met een golfkar gebracht waar je wil!

Wij vonden het zwembad wat tegenvallen, het leek veel mooier op de foto’s dan in t echt en de heater was stuk dus het was echt heeel koud!

Location, views and staff where amazing for climing and dirt biking. The bed was the comfiest ive slept in, in Bali. Ive been travelling about in different hotels this past 3 weeks and the best 3 nights sleep ive had so far. Shower was awesome and hot. Food was tasty. Could not fault.

Traffic early hours of morning little nosiey for people using Jeep tours etc, but they provide ear plugs which was convenient. I didnt use them.

Perfect location for hiking Mt Batur, which the hotel arranged and it was easy and we were so looked after.

La piscine était très verte eau trouble Manque de communication pour expliquer que les appartements font partie de l’hôtel qui est en contrebas. Quelques fuites dans la salle de bain (baignoire et robinet) 1 seul transat à l’extérieur.

Sehr schönes großes Zimmer. Bad und WC sauber, die WC Dusche ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Frühstück war wirklich sehr gut und ausgiebig.

Für die Badewanne stehen nur 80 Liter Warmwasser zur Verfügung, das reicht nicht für ein warmes Bad (haben es selbst probiert).

The location is perfect for the hikes and the view is amazing ! The staff is very nice and helpful. We stayed in a villa with a hot tube which was really great as a family. Really liked also the design of the overall place - it feels more like a boutique-hotel - so highly recommend !

It’s a bit remote. Hard to get about without transport. General upkeep needs some attention, staff while lovely were poorly trained., particularly wait staff. We did four nights two would have been plenty. The massage beauty treatment was exceptional. Breakfast was generous and good , restaurant meals generally good . While it was a lovely hotel with a little more effort it could be great.

Måtte sende tilbake middagen da den var understekt. Til frokost fikk jeg bestilt glutenfrie pannekaker, men disse var rå deig inni og uspiselige. Gikk dessverre sulten fra frokosten.

Las vistas desde la habitación. El personal muy amable, estaba todo muy limpio, buen servicio de habitaciones, comida muy buena.

The beds were very comfortable, the view was spectacular, the food amazing. It’s a 10 min drive to Batur, so it’s perfectly located.

The traffic noise is loud so I suggest you wear earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.

Was hat Ihnen an der Unterkunft gefallen? Das Personal war während meines gesamten Aufenthalts aussergewöhnlich freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Die Küche war ebenfalls sehr gut und das Essen hat mir gut geschmeckt. Die Zimmer waren sauber und die gesamte Anlage war gepflegt.

Was hat Ihnen an der Unterkunft nicht gefallen? Der grosse Minuspunkt ist der extreme Verkehrslärm. Obwohl Fenster und Türen geschlossen sind, hat man im Zimmer das Gefühl, direkt neben einer Hauptstrasse zu schlafen. Nur einen Steinwurf entfernt befindet sich eine Strasse, auf der Tag und Nacht schwere Lastwagen von einem Kieswerk verkehren. Die Lastwagen fahren im tiefen Gang mit hoher Drehzahl den Berg hinauf, wodurch der Lärm praktisch ununterbrochen und auch während der Nacht sehr störend ist. Erholsamer Schlaf ist kaum möglich. Für den verlangten Preis ist diese Lage aus meiner Sicht absolut nicht akzeptabel.

Views are absolutely breathtaking, you get direct views of Mt Batur, Lake Batur and Mt Agung. You also get to see the mountain clouds flowing between mountains. Rooftop pool gets warm with the sun and has amazing view of the mountains. Dining areas are also beautiful. Staff were friendly and always available for help. They provided us wine, cake and room decor for our anniversary. The welcome drink was delicious and unique.

Noise from trucks on nearby road (not ideal for people looking for absolute quiet and peace). Also not many vegetarian/vegan options.

Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and always available when needed. We rented a scooter directly through the hotel, which was very convenient. The view from the room was absolutely spectacular and one of the highlights of our stay. We especially loved the large bathtub, which was spacious and perfect for relaxing while enjoying the scenery. The included breakfast was excellent, with generous portions and plenty of options. The restaurant was very nice, and the pool area was also great. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again.

The only thing that may not suit everyone is the bathroom layout. The toilet is located inside the room with very limited privacy, so couples should be aware of this before booking. However, this seems to be part of the room design rather than a problem with the hotel itself.

Amazing view from the room and it was a nice break away from the city. Breakfast was delicious, as well as dinner since we ate at Desa Oculus eatery.

None - only challenge initially was making booking directly through the Desa Oculus website but payment just wouldn't go through and had to book via booking.com which was 1,000,000 rupiah more.

Very clean and had exceptional views

It was just off a busy road so it was quite noisy especially around 3/4am as jeeps were heading to the mountain for sunrise. Checking in was a little odd too I went to main reception and the lady there told me someone would be at the villa and when I went back up there no one was there. I waited maybe 15mins for someone to come, as a solo female traveller I found this a little daunting. The main hotel pool and staff were stunning. The guy who checked me out carried all my bags and stayed with them while I went to main pool area which was very nice.

A special thank you to Kak Widianti, who took the time to show us all the best spots around the property. The food is exceptional. Everything is freshly made and delicious, and the on-site restaurant stays open late into the night. This is incredibly convenient, as there is no need to order food from outside. We booked the afternoon tea with a beautiful view of Mount Batur, which was perfect. We also enjoyed a floating breakfast at the infinity pool around 11:00 AM; the weather was wonderful and completely comfortable, not hot at all. We stayed in a corner room with a mountain view, and the experience was flawless. The room was spotless with absolutely no bugs. The amenities were fully stocked and smelled wonderful, especially the soap. The bed was huge and soft, making for a perfect night's sleep. Overall, this was an incredible stay, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Rooms without soundproofing.Wind blows between doors and it is very noisy. There is a stone quarry down the hill and trucks going up the hill day and night, weekend included. Not possible to sleep without earplugs or enjoy the view of the balcony in peace. The room is big but not practical. A huge square bathtub almost 1meter high occupies the middle of the room always on the way to the shower and toilette. No place for big suitcases, no refrigerator, etc.No restaurants in the area and no place to walk unless you take a car or walk in the middle of the traffic.We walked and were attacked by dogs. Not recommended for more than 1 night, watch the view, do the trekking and move on.

Staff are delightful and food very good. Room on 2nd floor had great views. Pool area is beautiful. Trip to Trunyan and the special cemetery was a highlight.

Stairs, no lifts, and traffic noise. Ok if you take Blutak.

The service was exceptional throughout our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The highlight was the breathtaking view of Mount Agung, Mount Abang, and Mount Batur, which made waking up each morning a truly memorable experience. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable.

Very little to dislike. If I had to mention one thing, the access road can be a bit challenging for first-time visitors, but it is well worth the journey once you arrive.

The spacious room & view of the lake.

The gaps in the windows allowing bugs & flies in. Went to the restaurant & ordered 3 items which we were told they didn't have, such as everyday items, chicken, eggplant etc. No acceptable at a higher end priced hotel. Left without any dinner at all !!! Would not recommend this hotel at this price!!

What can I say - this is the most wonderful hotel, from which you do not want to leave. The hotel is in a very good location, access is good. The staff is extremely attentive and caring. The hotel has several restaurant locations, plus a bar by the pool. The food is incredibly delicious. The rooms - wow!!! Very beautiful, clean and cozy. And most importantly - the view is fabulous. I would like to come back here again and again. Thank you very much for the welcome.

Mye bråk fra trafikken og vi trodde dette lå alene og litt avsides, men det stemte ikke så billeder lyver litt. Kanskje litt dyrt i forhold til mange andre flotte hoteller på Bali.

The Location was good but due to houseflies we didnot enjoy the bfast. The vegetarian options for very less.

Firstly the staff at this hotel are awesome, super positive, friendly and helpful in every way. To mention a few, Nita Suma and Saputra thanks for making our stay most welcoming. Why only the 4 stars, well the flies aside (thanks to the chickenpoo fertilisers on Kintamani’s farmland) although considered ‘cooler’ in temps than other parts of Bali, it can still get hot and stuffy and with no aircon can get uncomfortable. No mini fridges either in the rooms and not so much a major issue for us but if you have kids with you, no TV’s either. There are also plenty of stairs to keep you fit too! Food and services are though very good. We ate here as well in the restaurant and including the breakfasts and could not fault any of the dishes, all excellent. The views are impressive overlooking Danau Batur and the volcanic mountains. Early morning being best to glimpse the peak of Agung. All in all it’s the staff that make this place. Enjoyed it.

The view at mt. Batur and the lake was absolutely stunning. The room was spacious and clean, the food in the restaurant was also great.

There's no elevator so we left the heavy suitcases in the car and took only the bags we really needed. But personell is very helpful in taking the suitcases to your room for you.

Good location and the view from the balcony was amazing, especially in the morning when sun was getting out. The design and the colors of the room were amazing , as well in the bathroom… lovely shower as well 🙏🏼 Upstairs was a pool area with a bar and kitchen with a great menu 👍

Maybe the breakfast menu could be little bit more comprehensive with selection of different coffees. Also multigrain sourdough would have been better choice than the white bread

Kunne gjerne vært noen ekstra vannflasker da det var et stykke til nærmeste butikk. Kunne også vært en ekstra panne til å koke vann eller suppe. Da vi skulle vaske stekepannen hadde det vært fint med varmt vann og såpe. Stedet lå like nedenfor veien, no som gjør at man kan høre scootere og lastebiler.

A frog got into our house one night and we had to remove it ourselves because the staff didn’t respond to our calls The house finishes are quite poor, all the doors have gaps, wall paint stains and whatnot The path to walk to the hotel lobby is steep, not recommended for elderly or disabled, but the staff can pick you up by car or scooter Nothing accessible at a walking distance, but the hotel provides free shuttles to town None of these issues affected our enjoyment and it’s still a 10/10 for us!!!

Best best best best everything was so good staff is so nice, food especially dinner is amazing, desserts omg. Chef is so good. Indonesian red fish is incredible. We have encountered with a live music! Omg. That guy is a magician touching to your soul. Way more than a hotel, view is incredible and very verycomfortable 10/10

Breakfast was very good with abundant food including fresh fruit. Dinner was very enjoyable with a great view and a really good musician. All the staff were over the top.

Flies were a big problem in the room because it is necessary to open the windows to cool the room and there are no screens. Plan ahead if you are a light sleeper because the road noise is significant.

The most stunning views and villa. You couldn’t ask for a better view and the staff made it all the more better. Super helpful and polite!

One indoor restaurant and one outdoor by the pool. Both have a great view of Lake Batur and surrounding mountains. Food is very well prepared and presented.

The view was unreal. I stayed in the second floor corner suite. Amazing is an understatement! The pool was just as beautiful. The bed was comfy and clean. The staff were so very kind and helpful. They even arranged for a driver the next day.

It was unique compared to other places I had stayed.

The lock to the room door was too close to the door handle making it cumbersome when unlocking or locking the door. You also must use the key to lock the door when you’re in the room.

The view and staff were amazing, especially Diana was super friendly. However the building is almost 4 years old and falling apart. Food quality and taste was the biggest let down unfortunately. Although I have complaints; this hotel has incredible views and has the potential to be so much more.

Food was low quality and lacked taste. Building is in need to serious repairs and black mould removal. Our balcony door could barely close and wouldn’t lock. Blinds are needed in the breakfast room as the sun is very intense in the morning. Housekeeping staff didn’t lock our door after their daily housekeeping.

The hotel was an amazing place to stay overlooking Mount Batur & Lake Batur. The staff were very friendly, rooms were well cleaned & the restaurant views & pool views were breathtaking.

Dit hotel is het net niet: mooie kamer maar water loopt niet weg uit de douche, prachtige rooftop maar slechts één tafel buiten, mooi gebouw maar slecht onderhouden, mooi restaurant maar smakeloos eten, staff die echt hun best doen maar het niet helemaal waarmaken. Het heeft potentie maar heeft echt werk nodig.
